Chapter 11 Shiho is an Idol?!
Ichika's POV

Saturday had arrived, and Youthful/Friends had gathered at Tower Records.

"I wonder what this idol group is like", Saki asked.

"We'll find out soon enough", Airi said.

Then, an announcement suddenly went off in the store.

"Everyone, thank you very much for coming today. Now, without further ado, please give a warm welcome to…Yume Yume Jump!"

With this, the idol group walked to the centre of the stage. I took a closer look at the members…and was taken aback when I saw who one of them was.

"Is that…Shiho", I asked in shock.

"It is", Saki replied in shock. "Since when has Shiho-Chan been an idol?!"

"Since Shizuku-Senpai is in the group as well, I'm guessing that she probably has saving to do with it", I said.

"I didn't know that you guys knew Shiho", Airi revealed.

"She's our childhood friend", Saki replied. "Wait a minute. You know her, Airi-Senpai?!"

"She's the one who taught me how to play the bass", Airi replied.

"She did", Saki asked in shock.

Then, I looked back at the stage, just as Shiho noticed Saki and I.

She seemed surprised, before looking away as her sister began to speak.

"Hello everyone", she greeted. "Thank you so much coming to see us here today! Allow us to introduce ourselves!"

After saying this, Shizuku gave a bright smile that had everyone in awe.

"I will show my true colours that shine through the raindrops", she said. "I am Hinomori Shizuku."

After Shizuku said this, Shiho said her line, while looking at me and Saki.

"I will work hard to make my dreams come true", she said. "I am Hinomori Shiho."

"I will show you my true passion with my singing", a member with stars in her hair said before posing. "I'm Shiraishi An!"

"I will save people with my music", a girl with really long hair said. "I am Yoisaki Kanade."

"And together", Shizuku started. "We are…"

"Yume Yume Jump!", the whole group exclaimed.

"Everyone", Shizuku started. "We hope that you'll enjoy our performance. Are you all ready? Let's go!"

With this, Yume Yume Jump! began their performance. As they sang, Saki and I watched in awe.

"Amazing", I said in awe. "Who knew Shiho could sing and dance like this?"

"I know, right", Saki asked. "She looks so cool!"

…

Yume Yume Jump! was done with their performance, and were now lined up for a mini meet and greet.

The were four lines for each member of the group. While Airi and Ena went to Shizuku's line, Saki and I waited in Shiho's line.

After some time, it was finally our turn.

"Shiho-Chan", Saki exclaimed as she rushed up to her.

"What are you guys doing here", Shiho asked.

"Airi-Senpai brought us here", Saki replied.

"We didn't know that you were the one who taught Airi-Senpai how to play the bass, Shiho", I added.

"Huh", Shiho said in shock. "You guys know Airi-Senpai?"

"That's right", Saki replied. "We're in a band together!"

"A band", Shiho asked in shock.

"Yep", Saki replied. "We're called Youthful/Friends, and our goal is to play music while enjoying our youth to our fullest!"

"I see", Shiho said.

"Shiho, how did you end up being in an idol group", I asked.

"One-Chan dragged me into it", Shiho revealed. "But I'm only going to be an idol temporarily. Once the group gets off its feet, I'm leaving!"

"Oh, really", Saki asked with a bit of disappointment in her voice. But she quickly chirped back up. "Well then, if you're only gonna be an idol temporarily, then I've gotta make sure to catch all of your performances before you leave!"

"Really", Shiho asked in shock.

"Of course", Saki replied, before suddenly grabbing onto Shiho's hands. "You're one of my bestest friends, Shiho-Chan. I'll support you in anything you do!"

When Shiho heard this, she looked at Saki in shock.

Then…she smiled.

"Thanks Saki", she said. "If you're going to support me, then I'll make sure to do my best as an idol."

Airi's POV

Shizuku's line was the longest because of how popular she was. However, Ena and I had finally reached her.

"Hey there, Shizuku", I greeted.

"Airi-Chan", Shizuku said happily. "You made it to our performance!"

"Of course I did", I said. "There was no way I was gonna miss your idol re-debut! Oh, by the way, this is my friend Ena."

"So you're Ena", Shizuku said. "Airi has told me a lot about you. It's very nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too", Ena greeted. "Your group's performance was great."

"It was", I agreed. "And your group mates did pretty well despite being new to being idols."

"They did", Shizuku said. "I'm so proud of them. Especially Shii-Chan!l"

"I assume you mean Shiho", Ena asked. "I'm guessing that she's your sister?"

"She is", Shizuku replied happily. "Wasn't she absolutely adorable while she was performing?!"

I didn't answer Shizuku. Instead, I smiled at her.

"You know", I started. "I'm glad."

"Glad for what", Shizuku asked.

"I'm glad that you didn't quit being an idol."

"Airi-Chan", Shizuku said with a huge smile on her face. "It's because you encouraged me to not give up! So, thank you very much, Airi-Chan!"

"You're welcome, Shizuku", I replied.

"And what about you, Airi-Chan", Shizuku asked. "Shii-Chan told me that you were thinking about joining a band. How did that go?"

"Actually, Ena and I are in a band together with Shiho's childhood friends", I revealed. "But I didn't know that they knew each other until today."

"Oh, so that's why I saw Ichika-Chan and Saki-Chan with you", Shizuku said. "Airi-Chan, can you do something for me?'

"Do what", I asked.

"Ichika-Chan and Saki-Chan are Shii-Chan's dearest friends", Shizuku said. "So, can you please look after them for me?"

Hearing this took me by surprise. But then…a determined smile came to my face.

"You can count on me, Shizuku", I exclaimed. "I'll make sure to look after Ichika and Saki!"
