The Daughter Of Bruce Stark Part Two
Leo slowly opens his eyes. His alarm was going off. Turning his alarm off, it was five o'clock in the morning right now. He got up and walks over to the drawers. Leo changes into a fresh set of new clothes for today; a black tank top and white and orange stripe jersey shorts.
The young boy left his room and heads out to the backyard. It was a perfect place to train for a few hours. The backyard was big and has a swimming pool. There was a jacuzzi near the pool and a garden house near the manor. Not to mention there were several bushes that look like animals.
In the kitchen, Bruce was in his black tuxedo for work today. "Have you seen Leo and Evelyn this morning?"
"They're in the back." Sam said, looking out the window.
Bruce walks over to the window to see Leo and Evelyn training.
Leo began his training in silence for three hours. The morning sun was beginning to rise while he was training. He didn't notice someone came into the backyard and was watching them. The young boy finished his training by slashing the air and sheathing the diamond sword.
"It doesn't appear they know that the other is training in the backyard today, sir."
"I know Leo is training in kung fu and my daughter has been trained by The Shadow League Warriors."
The two men watched Leo sits down on the ground and began meditating. They turned their attention to Bruce's daughter showing off her skills.
"How long have they been at it?"
"Since five o'clock this morning, Master."
"Hm. They are showing promising talent." Bruce said. Then his watch went off. "I have to get down to the office."
"Very well, sir."
Leo meditated for at least fifteen minutes. His stomach started growling. "I should get something to eat." He thought. But he felt someone's hand touched his shoulders. Leo smacks the person's hand and whips around to see who it was.
Evelyn was standing there with her arms crossed. "Why did you smack my hand for?" She scowls at him.
"I don't like people touching my shoulders." Leo answers her.
"Why?"
"That's none of your business." Leo sneers at her.
"Hm." Evelyn walks by him.
"And what about you? How come you're here with your father and not with your mother?" Leo asked her.
She stops and looks over her shoulder. "That's none of your business." The young girl said to him before resuming to walk back inside for breakfast.
Leo walks inside the kitchen and sat at the counter. Evelyn was one seat away from him.
"Here you are, Master Leo and Mistress Evelyn. Scramble eggs, two slices of toast, hash brown and bacon." Sam places two plates on the counter in front of them. "Along with your orange juice."
"Thank you, Sam." Leo thanks him politely.
"And here is a bottle of ketchup if you require it for your scrambled eggs." Sam added and places the bottle of ketchup on the counter. "After you two finish eating your breakfast, I shall give you two a tour of the manor."
"Very well, Samuel." Evelyn replies before taking a bite of her toast.
After breakfast was over, Sam started giving Leo and Evelyn a tour of Stark Manor. They started the tour from the kitchen. It went on for two hours. Leo was walking in the hallway and went into the Batcave. He wanted to take a look at the uniforms in the display case. Leo arrived at the display case.
Each costume was different. Leo walks up to the last costume. This costume has a red tunic, black athletic pants, green boots and gloves, a brown belt, a flowing yellow cape, a green mask and brown elbow guards. It also has the letter R.
"Hm." Leo tilts his head to the side.
"I see that you're staring at Rick's Robin uniform." Halle smiles at him from behind.
"Who's Rick?"
"Rick used to be Bruce's partner in crime."
"So where's Rick right now?"
"He left a few years ago."
"But why is this one next to it different than the uniform in the next case? In fact, most of them are different."
"Bruce had taken on several people that trained under him after Rick left. And we should head out to the swimming pool. It'll be a hot day today." Halle replied.
The two of them exits the cave to go to the swimming pool. It was a big inground swimming pool. There was also a building that was a few feet from the swimming pool. Leo enters the building to change. Luckily, there was a white curtain in the middle of the room. He closes the curtain and proceed to take all his clothes off. As he was changing, Leo heard the door opening and closing on the other side of the curtain.
"Is that you, Leo?"
Leo looks over his shoulder to see Evelyn's feet on the other side of the curtain. "Yeah." He answered as he takes his shorts off. "I heard the door opening when I was changing."
Leo puts on his black bathing suit and steps outside. He could see Halle sitting at a round clear table underneath a sea blue umbrella. There was an orange bottle of sunscreen on the table while she was reading a magazine.
She looked up and smiled at him. "That's a nice bathing suit, Leo. Here's some sunscreen. Do you want me to put it on?"
"No. I'll do it myself." Leo replied as he was handed the bottle. "I'm not allowing anyone to touch my shoulders."
"And I will do the same as well." Evelyn approached besides him. She was wearing a one-piece suit of black and white stripes. The young girl waited patiently for her turn to put on some sunscreen.
Leo was finished putting the sunscreen on his body and hands the bottle over to the young girl. It was his turn to wait now. Evelyn finished putting on the sunscreen.
"Enjoy the swimming pool, you two." Halle said to them.
Leo and Evelyn turns around and steps into the pool. They entered the shallow end of the pool. Leo's bathing suit inflated a little and lets out some bubbles. The two of them started to swim to the deep end. Leo takes a deep breath and closes his eyes before submerging underwater. The water feels nice and cool.
Evelyn began to stare at the young boy swimming underwater. She was wondering why Leo didn't like anyone touching his shoulders. This was the second time today. Is it really that big of a deal? Evelyn decided to take a into Leo's history in the Batcave after their swimming was done. The young boy got into a handstand and stayed like that for twenty-three seconds before swimming back to the surface.
"I'm surprised that you two can swim in the deep end." Halle said with a surprised look on her face.
"I've swam in the pool back at the orphanage and at the army base with Task Force 493 when I was six." Leo explained as he swam to the edge.
"Tch. I started swimming in the deep end when I was five. It was easy." Evelyn swam up besides him to the edge.
"That's amazing." Halle said.
Evelyn climbs out of the pool and walks away.
"Where are you going, Evelyn?"
"The bathroom."
"Alright then."
Evelyn started drying herself and walks back to the manor. In truth, she lied about going to the bathroom and went to the Batcave to look up information about Leo. Evelyn sat down in the chair to begin her work. She got in with no problem. The young girl pulled up her father's recent email. She clicks on the last email that was sent from Xeno two weeks ago and started to read it.
"Hm. So that's why Leo is here. He's only here while the other kung fu masters are going to China. But why does Leo doesn't want anyone to touch his shoulders?" Evelyn wondered.
She pulled up Wuji City and a video that was posted four years ago on YouTube.
"This is Rebecca Donaldson coming to you live from Wuji City. Zhao, a great kung fu master, is attacking the city with animals from the zoo. His gang have released all the zoo animals and several kung fu masters have arrived to capture the animals while the other masters of the Tao Palace fight against Zhao. Everyone has been advised to stay indoors due to the dangerous animals roaming in the streets."
Evelyn watched the video as several elephants were charging in the streets. Several kung fu masters were riding some motorcycles to catch some zebras with the zoo officials. Then Evelyn watched a tiger pounce on a small raven-haired boy. The little boy started screaming in pain and fear. He was about to be killed when Mistress Xeno came in with a spinning forward front kick to the tiger. Evelyn watches her fight against the tiger until the tiger was shot in the leg with a tranquilizer.
"It looks like the battle is over. Several people are injured, including the little boy. The injured have been taken to Advent Sky Hospital for treatment. Zhao Chan and his gang has been defeated by the masters of Tao Palace. Hang on. I have just heard that Grand Master Zen has passed away earliertonight."
Evelyn pauses the video and opens up a new tab. She started reading the news article that's related to the attack and came across Leo's name on it.
"So Leo was one of the people who got injured during the attack. He was going to die that night by that tiger before he was saved by Xeno. That explains why Leo doesn't want or like anyone touching his shoulders." Evelyn thought.
"I should talk to him before the two of us leave for my father's work." Evelyn said to herself. "There's also another reason why I'm here."
Evelyn left the cave and heads back outside. She sees Leo sitting at the edge of the pool and Halle was nowhere in sight. She grabs a couple of Sunny D bottles from the blue cooler and walks up behind him before tapping his arm.
"Here." Evelyn hands him the tangy drink.
Leo nodded his head and removes the cap to drink it. "Thanks."
"No problem. Where's Halle?"
"She went back inside a couple minutes ago to get some apples and peaches for a snack."
"Good. Then let's get change right now before she comes back."
"What for?"
"We're going to Stark Enterprises where my father is right now."
"How come?"
"I'll tell you later when we get into my father's office." Evelyn replied.
"Fine with me."
"Good. Let's get changing now."
Somewhere in Gothic City, a captain had entered the penthouse. He enters the dining room to see a tall man was looking over the papers. The man was wearing a majors uniform. The man has short brown hair and black eyes.
"What news?" The man asks him.
"Most of our soldiers have made it back to Russia, but some have fled here in Gothic City."
"And did you find the SHIELD ship?"
"No, Major."
"Hm. Very well then. Continue the search."
"Yes Major. What about you?"
"I'm leaving for Colorado tonight. Captain Colby, continue your search for the boy and girl here in Gothic City."
"Yes sir, Major Julian." Colby saluted him before leaving the room. He takes out two photos. "This is going to be fun."
