Chapter 10, running away from the zones

OK, we're gonna take a break from Ash and his story for a moment and return to his parents, Zoe and Luther, and the other families as they escape the quarantine zones this is very important. They do it as soon as Ash escapes or even before that they pack up and leave and get everyone ready to leave as soon as the end of the trials, or I should say dual ends.

until the main story begins with the

switcheroo, we focus more on Luther. This is where it ends with as for the time being.

most of the rest of the story will focus on Ash after this, but for now, we focus a little on his family and the other families in the quarantine zones.

and Dr. Crawford.

In the quarantine zones

after the dual

Helena, Julius, Zoe, and Luther

Zoe was playing after she watched the awful awful thing or she watched her older brother fight for almost dying. Helena and Julius couldn't watch it. Either the poor things cried for their baby Luther cried he barely knew his brother, but he cried, anyway he didn't like the side of the other two people who were fighting with him against him, he didn't like all the people dying. It's OK said Helena baby is safe. She said hugging the little boy in her arms you'll be safe. Don't worry she kissed him. I love you, my baby. Luther smiled. Zoe did too. Zoe watched as much as she could, and then raft to go play pack said Helena don't play too long Zoe knotted. They ate dinner and washed the awful thing then they had to pack. They were leaving the hunting zones today tonight.

no, I did. She was told she didn't play with her blocks today. Tonight she already played with them. She packed them and other things she wanted her books and tones that work conversation. They clocked up their library. Zoe couldn't help them clean up that mess they locked at the library from the outside, it was a day morning for them not just because they were leaving but worrying about their son too baby Luther Julius was already packed as well. The middle around to the other zones to see if anyone else was done they would be around to pick up our machine soon said Helenaand agreement would go to Dr. Crawford's first and then pack up everyone.

and that is what they did Helena and Julius finish watching the show and then shut it off. They couldn't watch anymore. The son was too injured. Ash was injured. Luther was crying too much. It was too much. I kissed her baby on the head. Love you, baby she said now let's go, they packed everything into their little traveling machine. The griffins never flew and the trains were dangerous. That's why they traveled in this even though Julius made the machines make the train system. It was faulty because he was good and never worked for them.

and only certain people had teleported.

Escaping

once everything was packed, Helena made sure that everything was packed away. The machine was made fine. It never broke down. Julius made sure that even if this wasn't evil land, they needed something to travel in.

we are traveling to a new region. Zoe will have to announce our citizenship of this one right Zoe said as she climbed into the cart into her little room that they made for her Luther took Ashli's old baby room. .

they were on the road. They drove to Dr. Crawford's room first it was a bigger building now a bigger home on wheels. They had multiple rooms for multiple people now Julius makes sure to build onto it for multiple families and people.

and it didn't need a wolf pup team. It ran with a good engine. All he had to do was drive like a car they had to camp several times, but that was OK, they won camp until they were far away from Revolter and could see them maybe they could camp at the old merchants' union ruins the whole place was destroyed after all went was left of the union anyway it was the best place to rest.

dr. Crawford was the first to enter the machine he ran in a lot of his things good I'll need all these. He says not all of my equipment, but I'll pack as many as I can. He said his healing magic was frowned upon so he never used it was very weak anyway he was more like a regular doctor and doing regular doctor things, he had no healing magic of his own anymore because the land was evil he couldn't tap into his special powers.

I have to get shelter when we get there. Miss says Reed Helena said to Dr. Crawford yes said Dr. Crawford will have to find new housing for ourselves and I know that region needs a doctor. I heard Riley does well with the healing but even she is swamped and she needs my help. And I know we can't take the region with us when we leave. It's still part of this evil land after all is agreed we'll have to talk Kan into leaving the land. Yes, that would be difficult for him to do, but I heard the soil is still good at the place where Lyle used to stand there Maybe we don't know for sure what happened at the moment but for the time being they have their stuff and will be here for at least another few more years another 16 at least so Dr. Crawford yes another 16 years said, Helena.

then we'll figure out a way to leave. Hopefully, we can have a plan and hopefully, Ash will return to us by then I heard he has to run off and do things things he doesn't want to do. He'll be fine. And I can't believe he ran off like he did. He probably had a reason to I know, said Helena and I wanted to tell him about our curse about children, but I tell him about it later. that'll be a good idea. Tell him later Dr. Crawford I said, drove to the stones house. They told Connor and everyone and their parents to get inside if you don't want to die the dead they were told they picked up the other families, the Stewart fam, and, the family who finally had children of their own Jason Gwen, not too long ago they were good obviously.

then they picked up the Robert's. They had a lot of people they crowned inside. It was crowded now, but it was fine. It was safer inside their little building house thing vehicle than it would be if they all traveled on foot. There were too many.

Leaving

there were no guards I guess they were all at the Palace right now. The key was put in and they left right out the date of the quarantine zones.

so they ran oh not run, but they drove out fast to beat the guards if we can get there fast enough maybe we can get to our destination before nightfall and we might not have our morning break maybe by morning late morning light but by midday, we might be in the new region. It'll take some time, but I think we could do it if we make no stops.

OK, they drove fast Like nothing was stopping them, but then like something was stopping them. They looked back and watched the quarantine zone didn't break up or burn up or anything but their houses did.

and everyone else's houses that they lived in were gone.

I can't believe this and this is the cost we get for our freedom. I guess it is Connor says calming her down. It's gonna be OK Laura Mrs. Robert said her brother is also Rick reassured her. They were all younger, except for the baby in the group they hugged or close.

and I hope Ash will be OK. Ash will be fine. We're gonna meet up with Riley Riley. I hope Riley is OK too. I heard she's fine.

she's with her mother and Porsche does she should be fine.

That is good as I traveled along They didn't wanna stop for anything even if day breaks they kept driving. The only time they stopped was for Helena to take a break from taking care of the younger ones in the group and take her place to drive and not navigate and let Julius navigate And watch everyone inside Helena drove just like it was when they traveled around the world.

Stopping for lunch And breakfast

The group had to stop though for a moment they had to eat, obviously and Luther needed to be changed of course with babies in the group they had to have a potty change and a diaper change for a lot of the little ones the older kids got to run around for a bit and eat lunch.

The children had to run and play. I had a lot out of their energy for a bit of a stretch of her legs she and Connor played for a little while they were the only older children in the group. Everyone else was babies are close to it and they had to get their energy out in some way, and they were the three older children in the group.

Luther smiled no one that he was out of the quarantine zones. Now he looked around himself and blanked his violet eyes around and clapped his hands too. She was one of the older children in the group, not quite the oldest, but she was a little older as well. yes, we said Zoe comforting her little brother, hugging him.

he laughs and cries, but in a good way at the moment, the blue light solidified around him surrounding him and Zoe he wanted to play with the blocks, but it wasn't time not here. She said we had to wait to tweak it to our new place and have a house she says hugging the child and her arms.

Time to get back inside called Helena. Everyone craned back inside packing up all the picnic things we had in for another few more hours. She said they would arrive at our destination soon.

Back on the road

they travel along back on the road as I saw. They had a long way to go. Helena continued to drive as Julius checked on everyone making sure everyone was comfortable.

eventually, they will arrive at their destination soon, but it'll be a while.

It took several hours. It was what they were expecting.

A very small region.

Arrived at destination,

The group arrived. Finally, Kane came out to check on that to see what had happened and who had come. A whole group has come from the quarantine zones. The rest of the resistance finally arrived. There were more in the group than there was expecting though to make sure you were not, you came from the quarantine zones and we need to make sure you're not ill. We have a doctor with us said Helena oh good said Kane I haven't seen you in a while Miss Helena how are you? I am fine and this is my husband Julius good very good but I was mistaken you have another child. Our eldest has been controlled by the evil pocket watch said Helena. He'll have to be more purified if he ever comes back to join us but this is our youngest and we adopted this little girl Zoe Zoe I'm not evil Mr. Agnes she says you don't need to worry about me I love my family and my new little brother loser. The loser looked around himself and a new place and new surroundings.

good we were hoping you would arrive soon, but we didn't expect you to have two more children in your group. This is Zoe. She was a trade-off for our son or eldest. I mean I hope he's OK out there. He'll be fine. He's 13. He'll be OK said Porsche. Don't worry about Ash. He'll do OK, but I can tell you a new one. Yes, I can tell little one. Luther laughs and smiles at Porsche. Well, he'll be great. He'll be a great play for all the other younger children. Zoe too Zoe smiles, even though I'm not quite a child anymore I mean, I am. I am five said Zoe, yes you are Zoe and very smart. Thank you. My daddy died last year. Oh you poor thing, but I was taking in before that.

now I'm loved and cared for I can see that the food here is good. You can eat anything you want. We don't grow apples so you don't need to worry about that they're banned in our region. If you ever do go to our New World will this region come? I don't know. The land is still evil after all, I don't know if we can.

we'll have to see depends on how much this little one and our other child. Scarlet can purify this land if they can purify it through their magic alone then maybe we can take it with us.

if they can purify it in time, maybe maybe maybe the world can come with us.

maybe this region will come with us and it can become a new town or a new region of the other Alencia that would be nice. Wouldn't it would be your time? The other two Valencias also are still following. Their timelines were two years behind them. That is true they're already at the year mark, we will catch up with them soon, though. Yes, I always will be two years behind.

also, Helena said to them Porsche and Kane I'm cursed not to have any more children at least not through birth so that is that until we get to another destination, maybe the first of that other world can change that history for me, not that history but then unfortunate for me oh yes, that would be nice. Wouldn't it? And maybe I can learn to be strong said Porsche yes that would be nice.

Exploring the new region

Helena Julius and everyone in the group started exploring the place around them a new region. Julius asked Kane if he could be his ambassador. He was the ambassador for Volder, but he announced his citizenship and ambassadorship to Volder. Maybe he can be his ambassador or right hand, man or something Kane just nods, of course Julius you can be the vice Prime Minister that's what I am. I'm a Prime Minister. I am not a king so you don't need to worry about anything I was voted in by the people of this town to be their Prime Minister instead of their mayor that's why I'm a new region makes sense. It's also gated and protected by a barrier. Only those we allowed him to be purified are allowed inside that's why this place could come with us looked over the wall. Well, it's dark out there.

but it's safe in here with our little bit of light through our children and the light of this place yes of course.

only normal I am is allowed here not even read. I am allowed even if it is natural. It's scary and creepy and cursed. You don't have any on you no.

The children came up and saw the other children. Riley also came up Riley Helena said hugging her. How are you, Riley? I am fine and I can finally have a meal with you Mrs. Reed oh yes, of course, and we will keep breed as our last name it'll separate us from our son and if we ever do go to another world in the two, Helena and Julius is there ever come back to life, it'll separate us from them a little that will work take that back. Yes, he'll probably have time for a while but then he'll become ready again. I hope he can break from his curse said Riley we do too.

I feared the worst when we found out he was going to be living inside that palace. I hope he escaped said Riley even if he does he'll be rogue for a while, said Helena I know, said Riley I hope I gave him enough protection to survive out there alone I think you'll do fine Riley Riley hugged Julius and she let down a little five-year-old oh how adorable she said picking up Zoe Zoe laughs and who are you? I'm Zoe. Zoe said I'm five. I can see that said Riley how old are you eight said Riley.

Will you play blocks with me when it's time? Yes, you we can play blocks together and do other fun things she says.

then Riley's eyes wide and it misses Miss Helena. What are you got a new baby she said can I hold? He might cry at you I doubt that said Riley taking Luther into her arms. He looked up at her first started to cry then he smiled. You noticed that she wasn't wearing a tattoo, I'm not one and I'm not I'm not gonna hurt you said Riley, my brother and I will not hurt you. We will help take care of you.

he looks sickly he is said Helena unfortunately we have sickly ones in our group Alan and Sarah who are a little older said Riley. They're sick too. I think it has something to do with the world outside not just the age change well at least we are all together, right we're all together and we're safe.

all the other young children came up there was a chrysalis Abar for two or 32 chrysalis children and the former queen of Volder, Olivia Miss Helena, Olivia it's been a while it has and you've grown your family how wonderful yes I know will you find someone I don't know she said sadly if it wasn't for Miss Pia, I would've taken Kane she said but sadly I'll probably be a single woman a single mother that's not bad maybe one day you'll find someone that would be great. Don't know who she said but I'll find someone you're right.

Maybe there'll be someone in the other or if we ever go there when that be nice.

it would be but you can help with my family oh, that would be nice. Riley and I would be glad to help. I got a present for you Riley. Riley held out her hand as Helena handed her a picture. A picture of your family said Riley there's no that's sad. I wish Ash was in this picture. I know Zoe, the little girl I just met you Julius, and the baby. She read the names on the back well I think we are all complete. Mostly, we just need Ash back in our group I will be a completed group once again.

more like I said the other younger children tan closer Scarlet, who is about 434 now and a year-old soul and Rita came close to look and young Oliver as well and Iris looked down at the baby. They loved him already.

also, Helena, we were wondering if you'd like to be our teacher for the schoolyard oh that would be great. I know you've swamped this Mrs. Agnes. Yes, and Olivia has been a teacher at the schoolyard, but we would like for you to become a teacher too. that'll help a lot I would love to help she said, it'll give me something to do for a job never felt useful in the stupid zones and we have a lot of young children and other children in our group as well. Also looked around. She was happy now we can get educated she said to her older group of children and agreement now I finally have a job. Elena said me too to Julius. We will settle here in this region of Ravenswood. It'll be nice for the children too. The other families agreed and it would be nice. This will be great. A fresh start for all of us and we're safe from Volder.

the group became citizens and now that is all that happened. They didn't know their citizenship of Eve and joined themselves with the region of Ravenswood growing a lot of the resistance made it safely.

ending chapter here I hope you enjoy this one of Helena and Julius and the other resistance. We have to have at least a couple chapters in the story on them so I hope you enjoyed this one.

My original take on this chapter was I was going to have Helen and Julia die on the train and Luther would be the only survivor but then I was thinking she'd have more children adopted in and I didn't want more children to die so that's why I did it this way I think it's better too. We want at least another Helena and Julius. It's alive. I mean was the opposite of dead but alive and they're pure good.

now we'll get back to our focus on the story which will be Ash soon. I hope you enjoy this one though I think this was a fun chapter to write and a break from the dark for a moment don't worry dark stuff is gonna happen again soon all right I'll see you in the next one.
