First Action
Soul Drinkers get their first battle in this Alternate Universe, but against the Word Bearers and it's a boarding action.

Somewhere in Space
1 month has passed since Sarpedon, Luko and Gravious have enter this Alternate Universe, the Empress told them everything they needed to know about this Universe, after reuniting with fellow Soul Drinker Space Marines who where loyal to him, it's time to take their first action against the Word Bearers Chaos Warband. Well the Empress said it will be a boarding raid because they are onboard her personal Emperor-Class Battleship against the Word Bearers Despoiler-Class Battleship.

Present Time
Xiphon and Stormhawk Fighters dogfights Chaos Hell Blade and Hell Talon Fighters, even against Harbinger Super Heavy Bombers and Heldrakes while the 2 Battleships go around shooting and blasting at each other in hopes in defeating one. But the Imperials have the upper hand thanks to Thunderhawk Gunships and Fire Raptor Gunships doing bombing runs.

After the Despoiler-Class Battleship is paused when the Imperials damages their engines, Caestus Assault Rams deploy from the Emperor-Class Battleship for the Soul Drinkers Space Marines to board. Well the Despoiler-Class Battleship still have it's weapons operational and open fire at them destroying several of them, although one of the Caestus Assault Rams that got destroyed caused one Soul Drinkers Space Marine to fly out.
In the end what's left of the boarding party are successful on boarding the crippled Chaos Battleship.

"Empress, they are onboard, well those who survived being shot down by the Chaos Battleship's defense."
"Very good, Chapter Master Sarpedon already has plan to get them out of there when the Chaos Battleship is about to be destroyed. But I'll be ordering them to leave that ship."

Onboard the Despoiler-Class Battleship
Standard Chaos Space Marines from the Word Bearers Warband all armed with Chaos Bolter Godwyn Ultima take aim, but many of them are killed after Soul Drinkers Space Marines shoot through the smoke using a Heavy Bolter MK-IV and Assault Cannons MK-VIII Absolo. This prompts the Chaos Space Marines to open fire at them but they can't see through the smoke so they are just firing blindly until they can get a full view.
"For the Empress and for Freedom!" The Soul Drinkers shouts their battle cry but with one change on it.

Sarpedon and his fellow Space Marines alongside Dreadnought Trax charge in and open fire with everything they got killing many of Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Terminators, but even they too took some casualties while charging. Most Chaos Space Marines and Terminators who are in higher ground ended up falling off after being hit by a Bolter Round.
"Grenade out!" Luko said throwing a grenade that vaporizes several Chaos Terminators since the grenade was a very powerful one.
Next Bloodletters armed with Chaos Power Swords come out and the Soul Drinker Terminators focus their attention on them using their Assault Cannon MK-VIII Absolo. Sarpedon knocks one Bloodletter down with his Soul Spear after it got closer to him and then kills it by impaling in the gut. Well most of the Bloodletters where able to score a few kills by stabbing several Soul Drinkers and some Terminators after overwhelming them.
"Burn Daemons", Chaplain Decker use his Crozius Arcanum to stuns all of the Chaos Space Marines and Daemons who close up to them leaving them open to be fire upon and killed.

"That's just once I can use the Crozius and after that it needs time to be ready again."
"Understood", so they keep shooting as but they choose to stay in the fight where they are rather than keep pressing forward because they know that need to leave once warning tells them that they leave and return to their ship.
Elsewhere onboard the Chaos Battleship, in a hangar bay, what's of the Chaos Space Marines leave onboard Thunderhawk Gunships knowing they have already lost this battle anyway.

9 Minutes Later
The battle is over because all of the defenders of the Despoiler-Class Battleship have all been defeated.
"This is your Empress here, you have to leave that Chaos Ship now, the battle is over since all are dead and what's left of the Traitors have abandoned their ship. Return to my ship now."
And just like that, the Soul Drinkers who survived that fight return to their Caestus Assault Rams and heads back to their ship while the Despoiler-Class Battleship explodes when the Emperor-Class Battleship finish it off. Lastly what's left of the Chaos Attack Fighters alongside some Chaos Thunderhawk Gunships flees to regroup with another Chaos Fleet out there somewhere in space.

"Who took first blood?" Sarpedon ask everyone on the radio.
"That part is we don't know Chapter Master", a random Soul Drinker said to him.
"We all know the the ones with the Heavy Bolters and Assault Cannons are ones who fired first, but we do not know who took first blood."

Meanwhile on Colchis
A random Chaos Space Marine approaches their Chaos Primarch Lorgar Aurelian who sitting on his throne room.
"Report."

"Primarch Lorgar, the Loyalist Scum from the Soul Drinkers led by the Empress have destroyed one our Despoiler-Class Battleship that had a detachment of fellow Chaos Marines onboard."
"Anyone from that Battleship survived that battle against the Imperials?"
"Affirmative, they are currently heading for another one of our fleet located in a random system."
"Very well, your dismissed", the random Chaos Space Marines turns around and leaves.

"So Empress, you still like to keep fighting can you? I couldn't convince you to join Chaos when I ask before. Even though you won our duel, you failed to kill me when you had the chance, all because had an opening to escape before you can finish me off."
"But you did made a vow to eliminate me the next time you see me again."
End
Next up, the Soul Drinkers get ready for their next mission.
Oh Lorgar was the Primarch of the Word Bearers, he's currently a Daemon Prince in the Mainstream Universe, but in the Alternate this Fanfic, he never become one. Plus he and Word Bearers they all lived on their home world of Colchis.
Let's say nothing happen to Colchis like the mainstream Warhammer 40K Universe during the Horus Heresy.
