I do not own anything from Harry Potter or the Addams Family

Hello guys, Badger here. As I said in Chapter 7 of A Different Hogwarts Experience Remastered, I have been on a massive writing high lately and just want to write more and more. See what happens when you don't beg for updates? It makes writing fun for me.

Anyway, with me starting my official second year at University next Saturday, I'm going to write whatever I can before then. Be it already existing stories, or new stories I've had ideas for, for some time. This chapter, is on the shorter side, but I still think you'll all enjoy it regardless. So you know what to do.

Read on, enjoy and I will see you at the end.

Chapter 10

A Place Called Nevermore

Albus Dumbledore felt like fate and the universe itself was against him, as he paced back and forth in his self designated office inside Grimmauld Place. Every time the Headmaster had made a plan to drag Harry back to the Wizarding World, his plans failed and Harry ended up more and more out of his reach. All the while, losing allies along the way. First the Weasley Twins and now Miss Lovegood. Now, Dumbledore was all the back at square one with no room to move. Dumbledore didn't know what Harry had said or done, to make the three ditch the Wizarding World alongside him but he'd find a way to get them all back. One way or another he'd get them back.

Some members of the Order of the Phoenix were starting to give up, but he wasn't going to. Albus Dumbledore was many things. A quitter wasn't one of them. And Dumbledore had an idea that could get Harry back. If it worked.

Dumbledore's thoughts were interrupted, when there was a knock on the door. He ordered for whoever was there to enter, to which he saw Remus Lupin enter. Dumbledore couldn't help but notice that the ex Defence Against the Dart Arts Professor looked particularly dishevelled, more so then usual, and defeated with dark circles around his eyes. It was clear that the death of Sirius and Harry's abandonment was taking a toll on the man. The Headmaster would be right in guessing that Lupin was blaming himself for everything currently occurring.

"You summoned me, Dumbledore?" Lupin asked, in a weak tone as he sat down

"Yes Remus, please take a seat…" Dumbledore said, "I've been thinking about a plan regarding our situation with Mr Potter…"

"And you think it will work?" Lupin asked, sceptically, "The previous attempts to contact Harry and bring him back both failed…with three more choosing to join him…how can you be sure this will work?"

"Because I still have hope, Remus!" Dumbledore replied, eyeing the man with displeasure, not liking his scepticism, "The other members of the Order may be willing to give up on the boy, but not me…Voldemort himself won't give up to find and kill Mr Potter, so we shouldn't give up either!"

"Fine…" Lupin sighed, "What's the plan…"

"You will send a letter to Mr Potter, asking him to meet you personally…" Dumbledore explained, "This time somewhere else besides the Manor he's living in…somewhere away from the public eye…when he does meet you, you will try to talk with him, get him to see reason and if he doesn't, I will be there too, to personally…convince him…"

"I don't see it working Dumbledore…" Lupin muttered, as he stood up, "But I'll try…"

Dumbledore nodded as he watched Lupin leave his office. He was less then happy about the man's scepticism and defeated demeanour. Dumbledore was going to have to rein him in, if it continued. However, Dumbledore still held out hope that his plan would work. He was certain that Harry would meet up with Lupin, regardless of how he felt, seeing as Lupin was the only friend of his father who was currently still alive. Except for the traitor, Pettigrew. No doubt Harry would still want to keep that connection to his father intact. Dumbledore will just have to wait and see what happens, before moving forward.

In the meantime, he had other plans. Plans regarding the Dark Lord and his Horcruxes. Dumbledore believed he knew the location of where one of them could be located. The Gaunt Shack. Or what was left of it. As much as the Dark Lord hated his families ancestry, Dumbledore had no doubts that he would still use it, to hide one of his fail-safes. So, whilst Lupin was busy trying to contact Harry, Dumbledore will be heading to the Gaunt shack, to see if his hunch was correct.

Across the country, inside the Addams Villa, Harry made his way down the dark corridors as he walked towards the basement. After finding Luna a room to stay in, Harry introduced the blonde haired girl to the rest of the Addams Family. Fred and George were initially surprised to see Luna had stayed, but ultimately welcomed her like they always did. And as for the Addams Family? Well, Luna seemed to get on with them all, and she was adored by the adults of the family. Especially Gomes and Morticia. They found Luna's oddities to be completely endearing and fascinating. Even Thing had a fascination with the girl. Harry probably shouldn't have been all that surprised by that. He should've known that Luna's eccentricity and oddity would've been immediately welcomed into the Addams Family with open arms.

Out of all the family members, Wednesday seemed to be the most fascinated with Luna. Though her interest seemed to be more of curiousity. Harry noticed that Wednesday would tilt her head, whenever she spoke with Luna, and looked at her as if she wanted to put Luna under a microscope to understand her better. Harry had even heard Wednesday comment about how she'd like to take Luna's brain out of her head and dissect it, to see how it ticked and what went on inside it. Harry wanted to say for sure that she was only joking. However, after getting to know the girl better, he'd be lying if he did. Either way, he was keeping an eye on them both from now on.

Speaking of Wednesday, Harry still didn't know what to think of the dark haired girl. Despite his wounds being healed by Morticia, he still felt pain from her sadistic game of tag. Not to mention, the girl both aroused, and scared him. He had been having more and more dreams recently. Dreams of Wednesday. Dreams that left him more then a little sweaty with sticky sheets afterwards. Whilst Harry had never been given 'the talk' whilst growing up, he understood what was going on with his body as he went through puberty. And that terrified. More so about what would happen if Wednesday knew. Harry feared that she'd cut it off in anger if she found out. And Harry felt quite attached to all his body parts, to allow that to happen.

Harry shook himself out of his thoughts, as well as the tightness in his trousers, as he made his way down the steps of the basement where his relatives still lay.

Harry couldn't help but smirk when he saw how much weight his uncle and cousin were losing. He was glad to see that, after a decade of abuse and neglect at their hands, they were starting to get everything they deserved. Though, he was still debating on what to do with them all. They couldn't stay down here forever. When the Dursleys saw Harry enter the basement once more, Dudley and Petunia looked a little fearful whereas Vernon started yelling profanities at his nephew, completely forgetting that he currently had a Silencing Charm cast over him, meaning that no matter how much he yelled, no one could hear him.

Harry smirked once more, as he waved his wand and removed the Silencing Charm currently rendering his uncle as mute.

"…YOU BASTARD CHILD, OF A FREAKISH WHORE!" Vernon continued yelling as the Silencing Charm was dropped, like nothing happened, "WE SHOULD'VE KILLED YOU WHEN WE…"

"Crucio!" Harry interrupted, his wand pointed at his uncle

Immediately Vernon started thrashing and writhing in pain, screaming his lungs out whilst Dudley and Petunia watched the torture in horror, fearing that they were next. Harry let the pain continue before he cancelled the spell, his uncle panting heavily in a mix of pain and exhaustion. Harry smirked at the pain he had inflicted, as he looked down at his wand. Recently he had started practicing more dark magic, including the Dark Arts, after his conversation with Gomez where the man pointed out that Harry delving more into dark magic wouldn't be such a bad thing. Taking the man's words to heart, Harry had done just that.

Whilst he still felt a little conflicted and weird inside, when he did use it, he couldn't deny that there was a sense of satisfaction whenever he did use it. Perhaps Gomez was right.

Harry shook his head and looked back up at his uncle, who was still recovering from the effects of the Cruciatus Curse. Harry looked dismissive and uncaring at his uncles pain, as he knelt down to the man's eye level, tilting his head curiously.

"Go on Uncle…" He said in a smooth tone, raising his wand threateningly, "Finish that sentence…"

"We…we should've kill you…when we had the chance, Freak!" Vernon spat, panting heavily and coughing violently from the pain, "You're a parasite and you brought nothing but trouble…"

"Crucio!"

Vernon started screaming as he was cut off once more, by the Cruciatus Curse, writhing and thrashing violently in pain, like his body was doing a very unnatural and erratic dance. Blood had started to fall down his uncles chin, as Vernon had bit down hard on his tongue to try and stop his screaming. Harry kept the spell going for a bit longer, before he dropped it where Vernon nearly keeled over from the pain. Harry then stood up and pointed his wand in between his uncles eyes, the tip of his wand had begun to glow an ominous green. The Killing Curse was on the tip of his tongue.

"Harry!" Morticia's voice then rang out throughout the Manor causing Harry to drop his wand, the green glow dissipating, "Can you come to the sitting area, me and Gomez need to talk with you…"

Harry's eyes narrowed curiously, as he looked up the stairs, wondering what Gomez and Morticia needed to talk to him about. Whatever it was, it must've been important. With a wave of his wand, Harry put his uncle under the Silencing Charm once more before hitting him with a Stunner, causing his uncle to collapse against the wall with a dull thud. Harry didn't even give his aunt and cousin a single glance, as he walked back up the stairs, leaving his relatives in complete darkness once again.

Pocketing his wand, Harry made his way towards the sitting area where he saw Gomez and Morticia already waiting for him. Morticia was quietly and elegantly drinking a cup of tea, whilst Gomez lent back comfortably in the chair that once belonged to Lucius Malfoy, an ever present cigar in his mouth, as wisps of smoke danced in the air.

"Ah, Harry dear, there you are…" Morticia smiled gently, placing her cup down on the coffee table, "Please take a seat…"

"You said wanted to speak with me…" Harry said, as he sat down, "Is it something important?"

"Indeed it is, Harry, my boy!" Gomez said jovially, "When we first met, you said how you wasn't sure on what to do having left those bastard relatives of yours…well, we believe we've found the perfect place that can help you…"

"Really?" Harry asked, a little surprised, "What is it exactly?"

"Oh, it's a humble place called Nevermore Academy" Morticia replied, "It's an institute of sorts, built for the very purpose to house outcasts like us, be it wizards, witches, vampires, werewolves, ghouls and other undesirables, and help teach them to master their abilities…"

Harry leant back in his seat, at what he had just been told. Nevermore Academy. Harry had never heard about such a place. Then again, he didn't know there were even other Wizarding schools until his Fourth Year during the TriWizard Tournament.

"And…you think this Nevermore Academy can help me finish my studies?" Harry asked

"We don't see why not" Morticia shrugged elegantly, "Gomez and myself have been planning on sending Wednesday there herself…when we sent a letter to the Headmistress we also mentioned you, albeit not everything, and she said that she'll be willing to reserve a spot for you within Nevermore, should you choose to attend…"

"There's no better place, Harry my boy!" Gomez spoke up, with a smile, "Unlike other schools where each student takes the same subjects, Nevermore specifically caters classes for each of its students, depending on who they are and their specialties…"

"I see…" Harry said, in thought, "Do I have time to think about it?"

"Of course, Harry dear" Morticia smiled gently, "The school year doesn't begin until next month, so you have plenty of time to think things through…"

"Thank you…" Harry nodded,

Harry then excused himself and started walking towards the training room. He needed some time to think and blow off some steam. Whilst Nevermore Academy sounded like an ideal place, he still wanted to properly think things through before taking the opportunity. If his time at Hogwarts was anything to go by, Nevermore could be just as bad. However, Harry had to admit that studying in a school not run by Dumbledore and is out of reach from said Headmasted, was definitely appealing. If Harry did choose to go though, it would only be under the condition that the Twins and Luna go with him.

After the year he's had, he's not leaving his true friends behind.

Narcissa Malfoy was crying to herself, as she sat on the bed in her rented room at the Hogs Head. The last place she ever expected to see herself. However her life had rapidly gone downhill after her husband lost the duel to Harry Potter. Word was starting to get out that Lucius Malfoy had been killed by Potter in an Honour Duel and it wouldn't be long until the news caught the ears of those at the Daily Prophet. Narcissa wanted to say that her life couldn't get any worse, but she knew it was about to. As Potter had claimed everything the Malfoy's owned after winning the Honour Duel, the only money she had left was in her own private vault, not connected to the Malfoy's Vaults. Narcissa knew that money wouldn't last the rest of her life.

In fact, by having to rent the room she was staying in at the Hogs Head every day, it wouldn't even last a year. And she had no way of earning any more. Well. That was a lie. There was a way for her to earn money, but she would rather die then degrade herself into becoming a prostitute, hanging around the streets and alleyways of Knockturn Alley, where any disgusting creep and pervert would use her in such derogatory ways. And all for just a few Galleons.

As desperate as she may be, she still had her dignity and self respect.

The longer she spent thinking about what to do, to get herself out of her declining situation, the more it became clear that there was only one guaranteed way out. However, that meant swallowing her pride and going to the same person who got her into this mess, in the first place. Harry Potter. If she sent him a letter, Narcissa hoped that the boy would be honourable in helping her. She hoped. That's all she could do.

As much as she the very idea displeased her, getting help from Potter might be the only way out of this hell hole.

Meanwhile, inside Macnair Manor, Walden Macnair nervously entered Voldemorts throne room. The Dark Lord had personally summoned him, wanting to speak with him in private. Macnair didn't know why, but he hoped that it wasn't bad news. He knew what would happen, if it was. Upon entering the throne room, Macnair immediately got down onto one knee as he bowed, keeping his eyes down at the ground.

"You wished to speak with me, my Lord?" He asked

"Indeed…" Voldemort spoke, in a smooth tone, as he paced back and forth, "The time has come Macnair…I have left Potter alone, long enough to enjoy his life…"

"My Lord?" Macnair asked, as he looked up at Voldemort for clarification, "What do you mean?"

"Are you that stupid, Macnair?" Voldemort asked, glaring at the man kneeling before him, "You and I both know where Potter is located…no doubt he's claimed Malfoy Manor as his own, after the fool Lucius lost the Honour Duel…with Potter out of Dumbledore's hands, he'll be easy to capture…which is why, Macnair, I want you to lead a small group of Death Eaters to Malfoy Manor and capture Potter alive…and kill anyone else there…once you've acquired Potter, you will bring him here"

"Yes my Lord" Macnair nodded, "Though, may I just ask my Lord, what will happen to Potter once I've brought him here?"

"That, is none of your concern, Macnair" Voldemort warned, "However, let's just say Potter will meet a very slow and painful death…"

And that is Chapter 10 done.

Like I said, it's on the shorter side, but I hope you all enjoyed it. I don't know if I would call this chapter a filler chapter, but it was mainly written to set up a few story plots.

One of which being Voldemort setting up an attack to capture Harry. One thing that came to mind, whilst writing this chapter was why Voldemort hasn't tried to attack Malfoy Manor yet, to capture Harry, considering he knows Harry won the Honour Duel and therefore would know that Harry now owns Malfoy Manor. It seemed like a minor plot hole that I plan to fix.

Also, one question I have for you all is, am I making Harry go dark too quickly and should I dial it down a bit? A few times now, we've seen Harry delve a little in dark magic, as I want Harry to be a more dark, or at least grey character in this story. Please do let me know if things are going a little too quickly regarding this character development.

One last thing. In the past, especially with this story, quite a few people have asked about smut related content and if I'll ever include them in my stories. As I've never written smut, it's not something I've ever thought about adding. However, for those who asked, I have good news. For this story, I am going to try and add light and brief smut related content as a way to practice, should I ever choose to include more smut in more stories, in the future. I don't know when I'll start including it in this story, but do keep an eye out in the future.

But that is all for now, I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you all next time, in whatever story I see you in.

Badger Out.
