Chapter Two
3 people voted for Meredith. 2 for Vic. 1 for Sullivan and there was also 1 for Amelia. I really really want to try out a Meredith/Andy (MerAndy?) story so that's why I'm going to go with her ?.
"What's with the shocked looks? Herrera's a close friend and I see her more injured than when we go and hang out with others."
"Okay, true." Vic chuckled. "She has been injured a lot lately."
"Not my fault Beckett was a shit captain, missing things at scenes constantly," Andy told them, waking up, moaning in pain.
"Hey, Herrera. Good to see you awake." Meredith told her, moving over to the bed. Meredith watched Andy blink a few more times, adjusting to the light and then moving her eyes to look at Meredith. "Herrera,"
Before Meredith could get another word in, Andy cut her off. "Pain is at a 6." Meredith looks at Andy's friends with an amused expression on her face. "Guess whatever pain meds you gave me are working." Andy tried to joke but winced and then pulled the blanket up when she felt that one foot was heavier than the other. "Oh god. Broken or sprained?" Andy asked, not looking at anyone.
"It's broken, Andy." Vic told her, walking up to her friend and grabbing her hand. "You also suffered a concussion so you're going to be unable to work for a while. I'm sorry we didn't inspect the floor better before you and Trav went down."
Andy shakes her head. "It isn't your fault, Vic. None of the firefighters that were there are at fault." Andy brought a hand to her head when she became lightheaded from even the slightest head movement. "This sucks." Andy started and then turned to Meredith. "How long do I need to stay here?" Andy asked, picking at the hospital blanket.
Meredith grabbed a chair and pulled it closer to the bed and looked at Travis and Vic. "I know you two want to be here for Andy, but I need to talk to her right now."
Vic and Travis looked ready to protest but just nodded, turned, and left.
"Did you need to kick my friends out to talk to me?"
"You really scared me, Herrera," Meredith told her, getting right to the point.
Andy looked at Meredith, surprised at the emotion her favourite doctor was showing right now over her getting injured. "Mer, I'm sorry I scared you but at least you know I'm going to be okay," Andy told her, grabbing one of Meredith's hands and looking into her eyes. Never having noticed how blue her eyes are. "Mer, when can I leave?"
Meredith, annoyed, answered, "Why? You in a hurry to go somewhere?" she asked, letting go of Andy's hand and standing up.
"Actually, yeah, I am," Andy told her, a smirk forming on her face.
Meredith huffs, not knowing where Andy is going with this, and she begins to lose her patience. "Where?"
Andy's smirk turned into a smile, "To take you to dinner."
Meredith, too stunned to answer, had her jaw drop in shock. "I- Uh…"
I know this chapter is short asf, but I'm just setting up for the next chapter.
