Even with her necklace on the weather still felt the pain of it's mistress, the wind howled and the rain pounded on the building that surrounded her and them, it didn't help that the kids also were adding to that pressure. Jessica had put her restrictor bracelet on as well to help relieve her of the strain of having to cage her emotions like her family often had to.

Evan was the only one who didn't really have one, but he had more of his dad's powers than his mom, so he was relatively safe when it came to causing a hurricane, but the Professor was getting one ready for him as well as traumatic circumstances do often bring about more development in mutant powers. So it was very probable that he was causing the weather currently.

They'd brought the family as well as the body of the man they'd all loved to the mansion. When they got there, the mechanical man had suggested that they do an autopsy on the other mutant, to which Hank and Jean winced at but knew it would probably be the only way to find out what happened to him this last year. When they mentioned it to Ororo she couldn't take it at the moment so she turned walking down the hall. The others just watched her, then turned back to the room making their plans to do as they saw fit.

Going into the room down the hall she could only take about two steps before she collapsed on the floor. Broken sobs tore her apart, all she could do was remind herself to breathe every now and then. Honestly, she didn't really care if she stayed on the earth or not, she missed her husband too much to care right now. But their children were way too young to live without their mother as of yet, so in the midst of her sorrow she had to remind herself of them to keep herself from going off the deep end.

Outside awakened by the thunder Kitty was walking down the hall headed to the rec room since she couldn't go back to sleep she figured maybe she could find something to watch on her laptop till she could fall asleep again. Halfway down the hall she heard the sound of someone crying, she knew that voice. Looking to the door where it was coming from she went to it knocking.

"Ororo?" She asked loudly, there was no response from the other end, just the continued sound of sobs, she poked her head through the door seeing the woman on the couch, she walked in.

"Ororo are you ok?" She asked her older friend, then put her hand on the other woman's shoulder, not sure what she needed she just got down to her level and wrapped her arm around her trying to offer whatever comfort she could to the elemental mutant. After a minute or two the door knob jiggled and there was a knock.

"Ya ok in there?" A southern accented female voice called, Kitty left the woman for a moment to unlock the door and let the other girl in.

"Hey what's goin on?" Rogue asked her friend who responded by looking to the darker skinned woman on the couch. Her expression changed at this, she went over to her. Ororo adjusted herself to try and sit herself up even though she was still in pain she was too used to trying to be the tough woman who didn't feel things… unless of course they were like this… too major to her to ignore.

"Ororo… are you ok?" The southern girl asked, to which she wanted to answer her but was lost for words, her of all people was lost for words… She then turned going out of the room.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Kitty asked, but went to the older woman deciding being with her right now was more important than seeing what her roommate was doing.

Rogue went down the hallway seeing the light in the medlab she turned to go into the room.

"Hey Hank, what's…" The younger girl asked when she was cut off. The blue mutant was hunched over, hearing his name called he looked behind him to see the younger woman looking at him a question written on her features, He turned to her sorrow written on his face. Taking in the sight of something behind him she looked to his right seeing something on the table… her heart dropped as she knew what it was.

"No." She stated looking back to the blue man, he nodded answering her question, she walked up to and passed him needing to know for sure.

"Rogue!" Hank said to her trying to stop her, but she'd maneuvered past him and to the body on the table, she didn't want to really touch it, but she had to know... so she lifted the sheet from the face of the corpse. Her face contorted into a few different things, mainly being shock and pain. She then put it back a moment later. Going back past Henry she ran down the hall to the room.

Kitty didn't know what to tell Ororo as she didn't know what was going on, it was probably something with Logan as she'd been massively concerned about his condition and such lately, she couldn't think of anything else that she'd be this upset about at the moment.

Just then her roommate rushed into the room not caring for how she handled the door that much. Rushing up to Storm she bent to her level and wrapped her arms around the older woman crying herself as well. Kitty was confused now. She tapped her friend on the shoulder not saying a word to her, but having the question written on her face.

"He's gone Kitty." She responded simply, the girls eyes widened, she slowly began shaking her head.

"No, no he can't be!" Kitty responded, not wanting to believe the news. The older woman in their midst nodded and then tried to soften the cries that came after. Kitty couldn't stop the tears that followed, neither did the other two women. They huddled and mourned the loss of the man who'd taken a place in their hearts.
