Akyuu's expression shifted to one of contemplation as she absorbed Edouard's words. Her gaze softened, and for a moment, it seemed like she was weighing her next move carefully. The morning market buzzed around them, but Akyuu's focus was entirely on Edouard.

"I might know someone who could help," Akyuu said slowly, her tone thoughtful. "Gensokyo has its share of people—some more knowledgeable than others when it comes to matters of memories, the past, and... things like what you're going through."

Edouard blinked, his headache subsiding just enough for him to focus on what she was saying. "Someone who can help with this? Are we talking... like magic?"

"More or less," Akyuu said with a small smile. "Not magic in the way you're probably imagining. But this person—if anyone can help you get a better grip on these memories, it's her."

"Who exactly are you talking about?" Edouard asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

"Her name is Keine Kamishirasawa," Akyuu replied, her tone taking on a more confident edge. "She's a schoolteacher here in the village, but she has... unique abilities when it comes to history. She can manipulate it, in a way. I've known her for a long time. If anyone can help you make sense of these flashes you're seeing—these memories from your ancestors—it's Keine."

Edouard leaned forward, intrigued. "She can manipulate history? How does that even work?"

Akyuu shrugged lightly. "In Gensokyo, things don't always follow the rules of logic like they might in the outside world. Keine's abilities allow her to conceal history or even alter it. I'm not saying she can change your memories or anything like that, but if anyone understands how to deal with tangled pasts, it's her."

Edouard rubbed the back of his neck, still trying to process what Akyuu was saying. "This place really is something else… alright, where can I find her?"

"She lives near the village, not too far from here," Akyuu said. "I can take you there if you'd like. She's not always easy to track down, but I'm sure she'll help once I explain your situation."

Edouard considered her offer for a moment before nodding. "Alright, let's go. I'm kind of at my limit here with these flashes."

Akyuu's expression brightened a little. "Good. I think it's best you talk to her as soon as possible. The longer you let this Bleeding Effect get to you, the worse it could become."

They rose from their seats, Akyuu leading the way as they moved through the bustling market and toward the quieter outskirts of the village. As they walked, Edouard couldn't help but notice the shift in atmosphere—the closer they got to the edge of the village, the more peaceful and quiet everything became, a sharp contrast to the liveliness of the market.

"I've been meaning to ask," Edouard said as they walked, trying to distract himself from the throbbing pain that still lingered in his head. "You said Gensokyo has people with all kinds of abilities. How did you end up... knowing all this? You don't exactly strike me as a typical villager."

Akyuu chuckled softly. "I guess I'm not, really. As I mentioned before, I'm what's known as the Child of Miare. My role is to record the history of Gensokyo. It's a little more complicated than that, though. You could say that I've been... reborn, multiple times. Every incarnation of me carries the memories of the previous ones."

Edouard raised an eyebrow. "So you've lived through... multiple lives?"

Akyuu nodded. "In a sense, yes. Every time I'm reborn, I remember everything from my past lives. That's why I know so much about Gensokyo and its history. It's also why I thought I might be able to help you. I understand what it's like to deal with the weight of memories."

Edouard exhaled, feeling the weight of his own memories pressing down on him once again. "Yeah, that's... more than I expected. No wonder you seem to know so much."

Akyuu smiled warmly. "It's my duty, after all."

They continued walking in silence for a while longer, the path leading them toward a modest house nestled near a grove of trees. The area was serene, almost untouched by the chaos of the village. Akyuu gestured toward the house as they approached.

"This is where she lives," Akyuu said softly. "Keine should be inside."

Edouard felt a mix of anticipation and unease as they reached the door. He wasn't sure what to expect from this mysterious teacher with the power to manipulate history, but at this point, he was willing to try anything to get a handle on the Bleeding Effect.

Akyuu knocked on the door, her expression calm and patient. After a few moments, the door creaked open, and a woman with long silver hair and a kind but sharp gaze appeared in the doorway. She wore a traditional outfit, her eyes immediately locking onto Edouard with a hint of curiosity.

"Akyuu," the woman said with a nod, her voice soft but firm. "I didn't expect to see you this early. Who's this?"

"This is Edouard Brunet," Akyuu introduced him with a small smile. "He's been... having some trouble with memories from his ancestors. I thought you might be able to help him."

Keine's eyes narrowed slightly as she studied Edouard, her gaze thoughtful. "Memories from his ancestors? That's... an unusual issue. But I might be able to help."

Edouard felt a flicker of hope at her words. "I've been dealing with something called the Bleeding Effect. It's causing me to experience flashes of my ancestor's life—he was in Japan during the Bakumatsu era. I can't control it, and it's getting worse."

Keine tilted her head, intrigued. "The Bakumatsu era, you say? Interesting. I have a deep connection to that time myself..."

Edouard looked at her in surprise. "You do?"

Keine nodded. "I may be able to guide you through these memories, help you sort through the confusion. Come inside, we'll talk more."

With that, she stepped aside, allowing Edouard and Akyuu to enter. As they stepped into Keine's home, Edouard couldn't shake the feeling that he was about to uncover more than just answers to his own past—he was stepping into a part of Gensokyo's intricate history that would change everything.
