Here guys, sorry about the wait

A month had passed… he hated being cooped up, especially like this… against his will. When he got out of here he was going to make sure every single guard, henchman, hitman and Hilton himself got exactly what they deserved and then some.

Hilton's plan had worked so far even through the feral mutant's resistance. When Logan told the man and his people where they could put their ideas and wishes with him they happily informed him of the fact that they had reimplanted the chip that had been in his brain from all those years ago. Only this one was more advanced and caused way more pain than the previous one.

"You know what that pain is my friend?" The crazy man had asked him when he was running him through a test of the device, Logan could only look at him for a brief moment before turning to the floor and retching in pain. His mind felt fuzzy all of a sudden and his vision blurred.

"It's your brain being burnt. Can you smell it? I'd assume you can. It's only a matter of time before it gets to the memoriam of your brain. You fought so hard to get the memories that you lost back… it would be a shame to lose them again don't you think?" Enraged by the threat of the man he lunged forward but discombobulated he could only get to the bars and fall on his side.

"Oh no Mr. Howlett, you don't want to do that, it'll only cause us to use this on you more." He bent down to Logan's current level and softened his voice as if talking to a small child.

"If you do as I ask of you, then I won't have to use it at all… and you can keep all those precious memories that you have stored away up there." He grimaced and gave a low deep growl that radiated pure rage and violence. Hilton jumped at the sound unable to brush it off as nothing, he knew he had to see his plans through otherwise he would be a dead man. Looking down he was suddenly shocked to see that the one eye of Logan's that was visible to him was peering up at him. Blackness… Nothing but a pure black toneless eye met him. He suddenly got up knowing that if the man reached through the bar, he was dead, no exceptions.

"Remember that I have the controls Wolverine. You are in my hands now, and so you shall stay." He then walked out of the space where the other man was leaving him alone.

From that time Logan had dug deep into himself to grasp a plan of escape, he could easily get away with his healing factor back, but except for the fact that even when he had his healing he couldn't just think real hard and regenerate his brain parts. He growled audibly looking out of his cell his eyes filled with rage at what he knew was true... for now he'd have to go by his captors' rules...

Through the rage there was a tiny voice whispering inaudibly to him to hold steady. When the voice prodded him he frowned and looked behind him as if expecting to see someone there but there was no one. He knew who it was who'd put that thought into his head but he didn't like it. He growled audibly sneering.

"I don't like this." He said simply looking to the top corner of the room.

His first client for the Wolverine was a mob boss who had made many enemies over the years that were just jumping to get at him. The number and tenacity of them had honestly scared the crap out of him and he was willing to do just about anything.

When he saw the offer on the web about the once great Wolverine being up for grabs he jumped at it. Cost be damned, he'd get the finances back later. Right now all he wanted was to get rid of the threat to his life. So the best of the best was released.

An hour later he'd found his first target and disposed of him, it wasn't hard to find the others after that. The hard thing was when he had the last one cornered and was about to take him out like the others… but there was another scent that came to him just in that moment. Rushing feet, panicked breathing, a small voice. He turned just in time to see a small child coming in the room, the child's expression was one of shock and horror.

"NO PETE GET OUT OF HERE!" The man who he was about to finish yelled which frightened the small boy making his lips quiver.

Seeing this, the mutant couldn't help but squeeze his eyes shut and push out a stressed sigh. The man was a father just like him. Logan couldn't help but think of his little Ayotunde in that moment. The boy was such a sweetie, he was so sensitive to just like this little boy. The child looked to the opposing man and then back to his dad.

Seeing his response and hesitance the man's adrenaline peaked and he rammed the opposing man into the wall not taking his time as he jumped to his son and sprinted out the door with the boy in his arms. It would take Logan milliseconds to respond, but it was up to him, and he didn't want to. He didn't care about what they did to him when he got back, he didn't want the child to watch him kill his father. His years of having children of his own had softened him to their tears and even some who weren't even his.

The man got away. Logan didn't care, now all he thought about were his wife and children. They didn't know he was alive, and they wouldn't know until either he got word to them or someone else did. He had to smile as he thought about what his wife would do when she found out what had really happened to him. The place he was held would be demolished to mere ash if even ashes survived her rage.

He returned to the place he was told to when he was done with the hit, the guards seeing him straightened up weapons at the ready just in case he tried anything. He didn't.

The day passed the man paid Hilton as they'd agreed and Hilton was satisfied, anything else was unimportant to him. Logan kept his eyes and ears open for anything that would let him have a chance of escape but there were too many eyes, specifically eyes that belonged to someone holding a certain control device connected to the trigger inside his cerebral cortex. Normally he wouldn't give a damn and would charge out of there anyway regardless of the circumstances or consequences. But this time… this time he did have something to lose. Something precious to him.

How many people had he lost, how much of his family ties, friends, children, spouse's, etc had he lost because of someone deciding to wipe his brain of everything that he knew. A few times making it almost so he had to relearn how to speak and write which was just plain mean. He would never lose that again, no matter what. He swore on his own life that would never happen again.

"You said for a little bit. It's been more than a little bit don't'cha think?!" He said angrily to the ceiling.

"Way longer than a little bit." he heard a small voice say from his right as he was ranting. He looked to his side where the voice came from.

He knew the Almighty's voice well enough to know that wasn't Him, it didn't sound anything like the voice he'd heard when he was in between mortality and eternity, he sat down quietly not much caring for the company that was or wasn't present.

All he could do was sit, lay down, or pace, like a wild animal in a cage. He hated being treated like an animal. He was once so used to it, like it was the only thing he had to look forward to. But since he and Ororo were together she constantly reminded him of his worth, regardless of what anyone else thought or said, even his own self… and though he wasn't used to that in any way shape or form, he loved it.

He loved feeling important to someone, feeling treasured, honored, loved, held in high regard and esteemed regardless of what anyone else said. Her love and respect for him and pulled him out of that dark space, something that he never thought possible, but she'd done it, and now he couldn't see himself going back, not like he was before anyway. There wouldn't have been any issue with pacing in a cell or cage like this if he wasn't in the state of mind that he was.

He once identified as a manimal, a beast in the form of a man in every way, but now he pretty much Identified as one thing. Human, even with his instincts, senses and feral parts, he now identified as a man, no more, no less and nothing would change that even if he was stuck here for a while.
