Chapter 15
Bella POV October
"Bella, I love you so much but you really need to calm down. You are going to bite your nails down to nothing, if you don't stop" Edward carefully reached up and pulled my hand away from my mouth. He pressed a kiss to my palm, keeping my hand in his resting on his lap.
We were on our way to the airport and I was definitely a nervous wreck. Masen was overly tired and so was I seeing as I was up half the night planning and making sure I had packed everything we needed, plus the stuff for Alice's wedding!
I found out that Edward does not take packing seriously and I had to make sure he didn't leave with only a couple pairs of underwear and some deodorant. He likes to say that he will just buy everything he needs when he gets to Chicago. Apparently he has almost everything he needs in his childhood home where we will be staying.
I figured Edward would put me and Masen in a hotel, but Esme and Edward wouldn't have that. Esme assured us that we would have our own room and Masen would be in the room closest to that one. I was shocked me and Edward would be sharing a room, my dad would never let that happen. Esme just smirked and said "I want more grandbabies"
I was very excited and a bit nervous to see where Edward and Alice grew up. All of there friends would be visiting us and I'm sure we will run into a first girlfriend, that will be quite fun. According to Edward he was a bit of a nerd in middle school and wasn't super popular. In high school he got his braces removed and found the joy in wearing contacts. After that he became quite the ladies man, going a bit cray in college.
Thankfully he was out of that stage and ready to be more mature. Sometimes I wish I could have been able to have my crazy young adult years, and I guess I still could. But it's weird when your a mom. My whole being revolves around my son. I would just worry about him and Edward the whole time I was out. Heck I worry about them when I'm at work or grocery shopping. I think I was just put on this earth to be Masen Mommy.
"Mommy, my tummy feels funny" I turned around in my seat looking at Masen. He was feeling very uncomfortable about flying in a plane. Edward told Mase that it was only an two hour flight and he would be able to watch movies and look out that window. I also packed snacks that he normally doesn't get very often. But I felt he needed something special for his first flight.
"I'm sorry baby. Does it feel like butterflies or is it really hurting? Do you want some medicine" Masen shook his head, his small hand resting on his tummy. "Butterflies, Mama" I sighed my eyes moving to Edwards worried face. I honestly wasn't sure what I could do for Masen. I had to fly a lot as a kid because of my mother. But Masen has been on a plane once and he was just barley four months old.
"Why don't you give him your phone, or maybe a toy. Something that could keep him busy and not think about the flight" Edward suggested with a shrug. It was quite a good idea! I often wonder who is the more 'experienced' parent in this relationship. Edward is really smart when it comes to helping Masen.
"I have a one of those water things. You know the one's where you push the two buttons and try to get the rings on the hoops" I tried explained to Edward. He seemed to understand what I was talking about, because he gave me a little nod, moving his eyes back onto the bush highway. "Here, baby. You gotta push the button and get the hoops back on the hooks. Mommy and Eddie had these when we were your age" Masen took the toy with a big smile. He quickly got invested in trying to compete the little toy and I knew he would be busy for the rest of the ride there.
"What a smart idea, Sweetie. Your so good with him" leaning over the console, I placed a kiss on Edward cheek making him smile showing off those dimples I love so much. "Thank you, my love" Thankfully the rest of our car ride went smoothly and Masen stayed content with his toy and played quietly the whole time. Once we got to the airport he was simply amazed with how big it was and couldn't stop pointing out things for me and Edward to look at.
Security was crazy to say the least. Each line was packed fully of people. More then one child was crying and probably a mom somewhere as well. I started feeling the anxiety raising in my chest looking at this mess. Masen seemed to feel the same way as he tugged on my hand wanting me to pick him up.
I picked up Masen and he tucked his face in my chest his fingers playing with my necklace. "Come on, it's this way" I took Edwards hand letting him drag me into the chaos. I let Edward take the lead though security following behind him in a haze.
Seattle airport was freaking insane! The time I flew with Masen we went at like 4am and it was pretty much dead. Security was easy peezy. We got in and out with enough time to grab some snack's before the flight. Now it's in the middle of the afternoon and it seems like everyone in Seattle was here at this airport.
I kept Mase glued to my hip, scared that he would run off if I didn't. Edward took care of everything, all I had to do was lift my foot so he could pull off my shoes. He stayed calm cool and collected the entire time. Because of that Masen was feeding off Edwards calm energy which had a very calming effect on me. Soon we were all more at ease and made it to our gate with more then enough time.
Carlisle and Esme already flew to Chicago on Wednesday to start preparing the house and also have some alone time before everyone showed up. We are flying out today, Saturday afternoon and Allie and Jasper have a flight for later today when Alice stomach wasn't so queasy. I was really excited that it was just Edward Masen and I today. Don't get me wrong I loved Edwards family, they are wonderful. But it is nice that it could just be us for awhile and we were going to be in Chicago for eight days with family all around us the entire time.
"I saw a coffee shop on the way down here, why don't you and Masen sit down and I will go grab us some coffee and snacks" I smiled up at him puckering my lips for a kiss, which he so sweetly granted me. "You want your regular order?" Edward asked. "Yes please. But with an extra shot of espresso" He raised his eyebrows. I already get three shots in my coffee but I needed even more of a pick me up.
"You're gonna be bouncing off the walls, Bella" he laughed. "But I will get you your coffee with four shots and I will get you a sandwich as well to balance out that caffeine" I giggled pushing him towards the airport coffee shop. I knew Edward would make sure he got something healthy and filling for Masen. He is really good about taking care of Mase and not just giving him junk food.
"Masen do you see the big planes over there" I pointed to the large floor to ceiling windows. There was planes parked everywhere getting ready for takeoff and a few that were circling the runway waiting to take off. "Woah! Are we gonna be on that Mama?" I smiled at my beautiful son, nodding my head. We moved our luggage closer to the window so Masen could watch and I can keep an eye on our things.
"I'm not sure which plane we will be on, but I bet that Eddie will know" I told him, leaning back against my seat and watching his excitement. "Eddie will know what?" I jumped at Edwards voice in my ear. I pushed him back giving him a smile. "What plane we will be on" Edward passed me my drink and sandwich. He leaned down and give me a kiss. Someone was affectionate today and I wasn't complaining.
"I know the number, but sadly I don't know what the plane will look like. But soon a plane will park right over there" he pointed to a opening where the gate was. "The plane that parks there will be the plane that we're flying on today" Masen gave him a large smile before training his eyes back on the aircraft's.
"You think we will be able to pull him away from the window and actually eat" I laughed at Edwards question, shaking my head. Once my son was focused on something he liked, it was pure hell trying to pull him away from that thing. Thankfully he will be excited to actually be on the plane.
"Probably not" I laughed. "He can just eat on the flight, it will give him something to do" Me and Edward sit and watched Maser while we ate our food. The airport coffee was actually really good and so was the sandwich. Masen ended up asking for his food and wanted to eat it next to the big window. It was as perfect as our flight got delayed for two hours! Something was wrong with the plane and they had to switch it out for a different one.
Edward made sure we would all be on one row together, not wishing for us to sit apart. Since Masen was still a toddler we got to board second after the vets. Edward sit on the end and I moved to the middle so Masen could have the window seat and I selfishly wanted to sit next to Edward. "Ok Masen, we are about to take off and go high into the sky. This part is going to be a bit bumpy and it might make your ears feel funny. But it shouldn't last for to long"
Masen listened carefully, looking slightly worried. His brown eyes moved over to Edward, who winked at him giving Mase a thumbs up. "I a big boy Mommy!" He groaned. I had to bite my lip not to chuckle at his flushed face. But he was being brave and I was going to praise him for that. "I know you are, Masen. But I wanted to let you know how it was going to go. I didn't want you to be upset"
He shrugged and looked back to the window. Masen gets very offended lately when he feels like someone is treating him as a 'baby' and I've been trying to explain to him that he will always be my baby, but I'm trying to make him feel like a big boy and not crush those emotions. "I love you Masers" Mase sighed not being able to resist, he quietly said. "I love you too"
oooOooo~OCF~oooOooo
Our flight went so well. We had no turbulence and it was a smooth takeoff and landing which I was very thankful for. Masen surprisingly fell asleep 45 minutes into the flight and gave me and Edward so quite time to enjoy one another company for a moment. It was the little times we get together that made me love Edward so much. He was always so attentive and I got to see a side of him that he doesn't let other people see.
Being with Edward has been one of the most freeing things in my life. I never thought I would date much less be dating the love of my life. There is still that small voice in my head that tells me he's going to leave me soon or later. That one day he will wake up and want someone prettier or smarter, honestly all around better then me. But till that day comes I will hold onto him tightly.
Masen slept on and off on Edwards shoulder though the airport and finally started to wake up once we got to baggage claim. "I'm hungry Mama" Masen whined. I could tell from the tone of his voice that the rest of the day was going to be very long. "I know honey. We're heading to Nana and Grampy's house now and we will eat. I promise I will feed you"
I took Masen from Edward so he could grab our bags. I am usually a very light packer, but I have Alice's little wedding at Carlisle and Esme house and then for her reception which will take place at the hall and kind of do a two for one. So that's two gowns that I needed to fit in my suit case. Plus shoes, hair items, makeup, accessories and don't even get me started on what I needed to pack for Masen. So me and my son have a very large suitcase for ourselves and I even tossed a few things of mine in Edward's Case as well. It's not like he's gonna care or even notice. I packed it and will probably unpack it too.
"My dad got us a rental car. We just need to stopped at the rental center and pick up the keys and we will be on our way" I nodded at Edward and let him lead the way. The airport was a flurry of activity as we weaved through the crowds to find the car.
We had to wait in a ridiculously long line for our car, but it was definitely worth the wait: Carlisle had rented us a 2022 kia carens! It was sleek black with tan leather seats. The dashboard had led lights going all around it. It was so high tech that Masen wanted to know if it was a rocket ship. "I wish it was a rocket ship, that would be pretty awesome" Edward told Mase as he buckled him into his car seat. "I can pretend that it's a rocket ship, Eddie?" I laughed quietly at his question catching Edward's eye in the mirror.
"Of course you can buddy! You'll be the best astronaut ever!" Edward high fived Masen and closed his door, walking around to his side and getting in. "My Parents don't live far from the airport" I watch Edward punch an address into his phone's GPS. "I think I might have one more snack in my bag, that should keep Masen happy till we get there"
Pulling my purse into my lap, digging through it till I found a stray granola bar. "Masen you want a Nola bar?" I asked him, shaking the bar around. Masen head nodded with excitement reaching his small hands for the bar. I tore a small piece of the wrapping, just enough where Masen could finish opening it. He feels like such a big guy when he opens it himself.
"Thanks Mama!" Masen happily ate his "Nola" bar in the backseat, keeping his eyes on the car window. It was quiet cold here in Chicago, very slightly snow flurries were falling not enough to stick but enough to give a Christmas card vibe. It was quiet beautiful and I couldn't wait to explore more of it.
"It's so beautiful here. I can't wait to see your parents house" My hands gripped Edward's forearm tightly, my eyes watching his face. "It's alright, the house looks a lot like the one in Seattle, this one more more brick then the wood" Edward knew how I felt about him having money and he always tried to make thing seem not as extravagant, like that will help it not be so insane.
"I'm sure it's beautiful, Edward. Your mother has amazing taste" He shrugged. Picking up my hand and bring it to his lips. "I guess so. My house growing up were never homey like your place is. Felt more like a show house then a home" Edward shrugged keeping his green eyes on the road ahead of him. Esme was an amazing mom, but her houses are more like a museum. I am always so worried that Masen will go over there and break something of theirs.
"I can see that, it is all put together and it's very white" I said with a sigh. "You've see my dads house. It's cluttered and messy. Everything used to be covered in a light layer of dust till Sue came along. It may have been cluttered but it always felt like home, even now as an adult I feel that way when I visit. Do you feel that way about this house?" I asked him, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze.
"No Bella I don't. This house is probably a little smaller in size but it's still all very white and expensive and just a bit much for my taste. My mom grew up in a family that didn't have a dime to their name, so once she got her own job and moved out she realized how much she loved to decorate her home and fill it with all the expensive items she wanted so that's what she did" Edward paused letting go of my hand to take the exit we needed.
"Anyway, she went to school for interior design and there is a surprising amount of women who happen to have the same taste as Esme. She did great work and one day she took a job for a Mrs Elizabeth Cullen where she met Carlisle and the rest is history" Edward had me smiling by the end. I had no idea that's how Esme and Carlisle met I also didn't realize you could go to school for interior design.
"That's actually kind of cute. Not that part where your house never felt like home. But everything else. Did your mom get upset with you and Alice if you messed up the house or God forbid break something" Edward shook his head no, sitting to think about what he wanted to say.
"No never. Mom used a lot of super glue and learned the best recipe for a stain remover when we were growing up. If she could fix whatever it was that we broke she would keep it and put it out in the house. She said it had a core memory with it now and she couldn't let it go. Once we got old enough mom let us decorate our rooms however we wanted. We could keep it clean or messy but if we did the second one, Mom better not see your door open" I laughed, trying to imagine a little Edward running around and making a mess in Esme fancy white house.
I peeked back on my son finding him fast asleep still clutching onto a half eaten granola bar. I grabbed my phone out of my bag snapping a picture of Masen. I wanted to be able to looking back on this photo and remember our first vacation. "If I had turned left back there it would have taken us to my old high school. Not some of my best memories happened there, but it was still a part of my childhood"
Edward pointed out cute little things here and there that he remembered from growing up. He pointed out a large filled that looks like it would be covered in green fluffy grass in the summer, telling me about the time his dad tried to teach him how to throw a baseball. "Alice had come with us one time and insisted that she be able to throw the baseball, Dad had me pass the ball to Al and what would you know the girl had one hell of an arm, only thing is she didn't have any sense of direction so she hit dad square in the face!" I was Laughing so hard that my side were burning and so was Edward. His eyes were shining bright as he spoke about his family, I could tell her had a lot of love for them.
"Al had broke his nose in two different places. Blood was everywhere, staining the new polo shirt Esme had just got Carlisle. Alice almost passed out she was crying so hard and she continued to tear up each time she saw our Dads black and blue face" Alice must have always had a sensitive heart and especially when it comes to the people she loved.
"How old were you guys?" I asked him. "I was 10 at the time so Alice couldn't have been older then six years old. Mom has a picture of us the day it happened somewhere. Dad was laying on the bed while Alice was holding a cloth to his nose and I was sitting by his feet. I know my dad had black eyes at my first baseball game and he's in some of the pictures from that" I love that Esme took lots of pictures. My dad never thought to take pictures or videos and my mom never cared enough. When I was 12 I asked for a camera for my birthday and starting taking pictures to have and I am so glad I did that. I loved each and everyone of those pictures.
"I want to make sure we take a lot of pictures this week, this is our first ever family vacation and I want to remember it" Edward gave me a large smile kissing my hand. "I agree, my love"
oooOooo~OCF~oooOooo
After a 45 minute drive we pulled up to a large three story town home. The house was light gray with black accents. It was beautiful and looked expensive from just the outside. "Woah" I whispered under my breath. I couldn't believe I was going to get to stay here. The house was lined up with the street and Edward parallel parked between two very nice cars and hopped out of the car and jogged over to my side opening up my door.
"Close your mouth, baby. Gives me impure thoughts" I gasped at Edward pushing his chest. Edward laughed giving me a wink. "You keep this up Cullen and you won't be having any of my impure actions" I got out of the car going to get my son. I took the melted bar from his hand, pulling out a baby wipe from the bag i gently rubbed his hand clean and used the dirty wipe to wrap up the ruined bar.
Masen started to stir when I unbuckle his car seat and gave me a sleepy smile. He moved his hand up to his face rubbing his eye trying to wake up. "We here, Mommy?" I nodded pulling his arms out of the straps and picking him up from the car seat. "Yeah Baby. You ready to see Nana and Grampy" He said nothing, laying his head on my shoulder and twisting my hair in his fingers. I knew that his eyes were already closed and he was trying to fall back to sleep. He has always played with my hair when I put him to sleep. Ever since he was a little baby.
Edward had our two suitcases and my carry on bag. When I walked up to him he tried to also take the diaper bag off my shoulder but I stopped him. He was already carrying way to much as it is. I pushed the large iron gate closed open and held it with my foot so Edward could walk through. There was a small front yard next to the stairs where Esme had set up a table and chair. The table had a stand with an umbrella that would be perfect for sunny days.
Leaning up against the steps was a large round rock that had 'The Cullen's' written on it with elegant lettering. On the top of the rock was two large hand prints in white and on the bottle was two small hands in white. The rock was very worn from sun damage and could tell was well loved. "My mom painted that rock and we put on hand prints on there the day we got the house. It has sit in that spot ever since" I smiled and leaned down touching the little hands on the rock.
The front door opened and Esme appeared with a large smile. She was wearing a navy blue dress that stopped below her knees and she had the cutest apron on with it. "You guys are here!! I'm so excited to see you all" Esme pulled us into a group hug squeezing us tightly. Her Burberry perfume filled my nose and I let myself fall into her motherly embrace.
"Come, let's go inside. It's much to cold out here. Now let me have my grandson" before I put get a word out of my mouth Esme had my son in her arms and was walking back up the stairs. Edward shrugged following his mother.
The front door was made out of dark wood and it was even arched. They opened up to a beautiful sitting room with lots of natural light. There was a big fireplace, hanging above it was a old family portrait. Edward looked to be in middle school since he had his braces and his big glasses, your typical nerd.
"See I told you, love. I was such a nerd in middle school. Not to mention in desperate need of a hair cut" I laughed. Edward was sporting the Justin Bieber hair style with his signature flip. "Very sexy babe" I kissed his cheek giving him my best smile. Carlisle and Esme still looked the same. Only difference is that Esme had a short bob cut! She looked so much like mom with that hair style. Alice hair is just out of control as Edwards and I could see why she chooses to just keep the spiked pixie cut. Looked like poor Esme tried to tame it into some pigtails but the hair won and she lost.
"Alice! Poor thing. You two didn't say that the hair was a genetic thing! You both have hair that's out of control" Edward tried not to laugh at his little sister but he just couldn't do it and burst out laughing, tears were rolling down the side of his eyes he was laughing so hard.
"I honestly forgot! Alice started wearing her hair short not to long after this picture was taken and never went back. The hair comes from my moms side. Her brothers will be here at some point this week, their hair looks just like mine! Most of the time they keep it buzzed. Easier to deal with" Edward led me though the entrance and to a beautiful wood staircase that looked up to all levels with a large skylight.
"There's one bedroom down here and my Oma stays there. That's Esme mom by the way" I rolled nodding my head for him to continue. Edward walked over to a door and opened it. To my surprise there was a little elevator inside. "Mom had this put in when her father first got sick. She didn't want to risk them falling down the stairs" Edward let me step inside first and thankfully him and out luggage all fit inside. The elevator wasn't huge by any means, it looked like it was a closet at some point.
"Masen is going to flip when he see that there is an elevator in the house. He was amazed by the one at your condo, he'll lose it this time" We took the elevator up to the second floor and the whole floor was like one long hallway that opened up to the staircase. "The whole third floor is a master bedroom. We will stay in my old room and Masen can stay with us or we can sit him up in another room on this floor"
Edward opened the fourth door down the hall and inside was a beautiful large room that just screamed Edward. It was done in dark blues and black. In the center of the room was a huge king bed that seemed to dominate the entire room.
Big bookshelves covered his walls much like the ones in Seattle. He had all of his music and books along with tons of tapes that you would use for a walking man. "It still amazes me, how much music you actually have" Edward shrugged, placing our suitcases at the foot of the bed. "It's a hobby I guess" Edward came over and wrapped his arms around my waist placing a soft kiss on my lips.
"Have I told you how much I love you today, Miss Swan?" I shook my head no. My fingers tangled in the hair at the nape of his neck. His hair was so soft here like silk. "That just won't do. Isabella I love you so much. I love your smile. I love your heart. I love your body. I love your long hair. I love your hands. I love your voice. Remember I'll always love you" My smiled was wide when he finished and my heart was so full it felt like it would explode.
"And I will always love you Edward Cullen. My whole heart and soul is yours" We stood in the center of his childhood room and kissed for the longest time and probably would have moved to something more if Edward hadn't pulled away. "You are just to irresistible Baby. But we should get back downstairs we left poor Masen to defend him against the grandmothers all alone" I let Edward pull me away as I tried to calm myself down some. Damn. He says I'm irresistible then he hasn't seen himself.
We found everything in the kitchen on the first floor. It was probably the most beautiful kitchen I had ever seen. The cabinets and drawers were all dark brown with marble countertops. With all the dark wood flooring in the house really made the white pop.
Masen was sitting on top of a small dining table in the corner in front of an elder woman who was feeding him cookies. "Edward Bella come sit. Would you like a cup of coffee?" Esme asked. She pulled out two chairs indicating for us to have a sit. Edward sit next to the older woman giving her a tight hug. I took the open seat next to him. "Oma it's so good to see you" I smiled at the two. Now that I was looking at her I could see she was definitely Esme mother. They bath had the same caramel colored hair except "Oma's" hair was starting to gray.
"My sweet boy. How are you?" Oma pinched Edwards cheeks giving him a sloppy kiss to one. "I am good. Bella this is my Oma Mary and Oma this is my girlfriend Bella and I see you have already met her son Masen" Mase looked up and gave Edward a toothy grin at the mention of his name. "Oh yes I have met this little one. He is absolutely adorable Bella" I smiled at my son, watching him sneak another cookie in his already full mouth.
"Thank you, I think he's pretty cute, but I've been told I'm bias" I said with an eye roll. Masen will always be the cutest little boy in my eyes. "You definitely aren't my dear. He's just precious and my my does he look just like his mother" Edward nodded agreeing with his grandmother. Esme walked over to the table with a tray with two cups of coffee along with another plate of cookies.
"Edward no cream and two sugars. And Bella lots of cream and sugar" Thank heavens for Esme and for coffee. She carefully sit the tray on the table and Masen little hand shot out reaching for another handful of cookies but lighten fast Edward snatched his hand away and pulled Masen's body toward him. "Not so fast little man. You've already had more then enough cookies. We haven't even had dinner yet"
Masen sighed giving Edward his best pout. "But Eddie!!" He whined. Edwards fingers poked at his side making Masen laugh and push his hands away. "No more cookies for this Cookie Monster" I laughed reaching my arms out for Masen trying to save him. "Alright you two, that's enough" I pulled Masen in my arms letting him cuddle up to my chest.
"So Bella, Esme tells me your a teacher in port Angeles?" Mary asked. "Yeah I teach 3rd grade English. I really enjoy it" Mary Smiled telling about her teaching days. Apparently she was a substitute teacher for the elementary school when her kids were little. We all stayed in the kitchen and talked while Esme made dinner. She made some spaghetti and meatballs with homemade garlic bread. It looked and smelled delicious.
Around six o'clock Carlisle got home from the airport and had brought Alice and Jasper with him. Alice poor thing looked exhausted and practically dead on her feet. She was starting to get a small baby bump and it was so cute. She had the perfect pregnancy body. "Alice you poor thing, you go lay on the couch and I will bring you a cup of tea" Esme gently pushed Alice towards the living room and waiting for her to lay down before covering her with a fluffy blanket.
"Thank you Mommy" Jasper pulled their suitcase to the elevator and looked tore between taking their stuff upstairs or going over to his fiancé and making sure she was alright. "Jazz you take that stuff upstairs, I will stay with Alice till you get back" Jasper gave me a grateful smile turning around to push the button.
I left him with that and walked over to my best friend and kneeled next to her head, pushing her jet black hair back. "Allie this baby is kicking your ass" Alice laughed coving her face with her hand. "The baby has been very angry today" Alice over hand patted her bump trying to sooth her stomach. "Come on little Whitlock take it easy on your mommy"
Esme walked back in the living room with a steaming cup of tea and a pillow tucked under her arm. Alice set up slightly and Es tucked the pillow behind her giving her the cup of Tea. "Sip on it slowly Alice. It will help your upset stomach." Jasper, Edward and Masen all came back from the elevator and Jasper rushed right to Alice's side.
I stood and let Jasper take over my place. Edward had taken Masen upstairs and gave him a bath so I could enjoy a glass of wine with the ladies. Masen was dressed in his PJ masked pajamas with damp hair and looked just as tried as Allie did. "Mama! Eddie has a pool for a tub!" Everyone Laughed at my adorable son making him blush and tuck in face into Edward. "Remember Masen, they aren't laughing at you. They are laughing with you" Masen was still very sensitive when it came to people laughing at him. He thinks we are making fun of him. But we just think he's so cute.
"Come here baby" Edward handed me my son and sit down next to me on the love seat. Edward was so close to me that we were practically sharing a seat. "You ok" I whispered in his ear. Edward gave me a big smile and kissed my cheek. "Of course, my love. I just wish to be close to you, if that's alright?" I nodded. I pulled Edwards head to my shoulder running my fingers though his soft hair. Masen curled into a ball on my lap, one hand was playing with my hair while the other one was holding tightly onto Edwards. We looked and felt like a real little family.
Alice and Jasper didn't stay downstairs for long. Esme brought them a plate of dinner which Alice only picked at giving the rest to Jasper and left to go upstairs and take a bath. Jasper inhaled his food before rushing upstairs after her giving all of us a quick "Good night" Mary went to bed not long after that and everyone else followed. Since Mary was in the only room downstairs we didn't want to disturb her.
Plus Masen had passed out and needed to get to a bed. Esme had gone out and brought some bed rails for the bed in the guest room so Masen wouldn't fall out of the bed. I pulled the covers back and Edward laid him down in the center. Masen looked so small in this big bed. I rush across the hall to mine and Edward's room and grabbed Teddy and his blanket.
Edward had already tucked the blanket around him and was trying to get his rain sound to work. I lifted Mase's arm laying Teddy on his side and wrapping his arm around him. Since he was already wrapped up in the comforter I just laid his baby blanket over him and called it a night. Edward finally got his hatch to come on and soon the room filled with a quiet rain storm.
We each gave Masen a little kiss and left him to rest. I was a little nervous about him waking up and not knowing where me and Edward were, but I'm sure he will cry and it will most definitely wake up. "I'm exhausted" Edward flopped on the bed still fully dressed with his boots on his feet. I lifted his foot, removing the leather shoe and socks before repeating the process with the other foot. Edward turned over on his back and gave me a big smile waiting for me to finish what I started.
Reaching up I unbutton his jeans and tugged on them slightly. Edward raised his hips just enough for me to pull the jeans down his legs revealing his slightly tented boxers. Pulling on his arms Edward sit up for me letting me pull his shirt over his head. I left him sitting there and went into the en-suite grabbing a washcloth and wetting it with warm water.
Edward was still sitting where I left him and gave me a sleepy smile when I walked back. Taking the damp cloth I wiped his arms, face and chest. Wiping off the day of traveling till he could shower in the morning. "You take such good care of me, Bella" Giving him a sweet kiss I pulled him up from the bed and pulled the covers bad before pushing him backwards.
"I need to wash my face and I'll be right back" I tucked the covers around him and kissed his nose. I knew he would be passed out by the time I came back from the bath room. "I love you so much, Edward" I whispered against his lips. I pressed my lips against him and got my real Goodnight kiss. I was one bless women and I couldn't see how the rest of this week would go.
Well that's it for now! Once again so sorry for the lack of chapters, i should get back into writing now that I am settled!! Till next time~Jade
