Ch.8 Love

POV: Dimitri

As a guardian, I dedicated my life to my charge, Ivan. A single distraction could kill him, so I hadn't had time for romantic affairs.

Then he was killed, and I was transferred to St. Vladimir's. I met Rose Hathaway, a rebel who Alberta insisted only listened to me. I had started to fall for her hard. I still was.

I loved the feeling of her pressed against me in training when I held her down after we finished sparring. I loved her fierceness, her dedication to the things she thought right. I loved her Rose-logic.

And no matter how many I told myself we couldn't be together, I found myself admiring her more and more everyday.

Everyday, I found myself falling more and more in love with my beautiful Roza.
