Ch.9 Choice

POV: Dimitri

I had a choice in front of me: either be Tasha's guardian or be Lissa's.

To be Tasha's guardian would allow me to have children of my own. My whole life, I'd known that I probably wouldn't have the chance. I'd made do with my sisters' children, but it wouldn't compare to having my own child.

To be Lissa's guardian would let me relax at Court, since it seemed the most logical place for the Dragomir princess to reside. I could be guarding Court in general, as Moroi at Court didn't need their guardians with them twenty-four seven. Being Lissa's guardian would also allow me to be close to Roza. I could find a post as a Court guard, and we could settle down...
