Ch.18 Newspaper

POV: Third Person

Dimitri wasn't pleased when he saw Rose absorbed in the newspaper she swore she had no interest in only last week after he finished cooking their breakfast. He had something to talk to her about: the number of protesters against Lissa's rule.

However, when he tried to talk to her, all she did was flip the page of her newspaper and continue to read. Completely ignoring him.

Slowly, he found himself getting angry - even though he tried to look and sound calm on the surface.

She still ignored him.

So he did the only thing he could to get her attention - he took off his shirt.

Now, Dimitri was gorgeous with his shirt on - but there was just something about him being shirtless that turned Rose on - not that Dimitri would know that, of course. Maybe it was his perfectly sculpted abs, or maybe his flat stomach.

Whatever it was that turned Rose on, it got Dimitri the attention he wanted - only, just not the attention he wanted.

A naughty smile spread across Rose's face, and that should have been Dimitri's first warning. Or maybe he should have put his shirt back on when she stood up and started prowling towards him, already throwing her shirt over her head.

Needless to say, Dimitri never got round to having that talk with her. All because of that newspaper.
