Ch.20 Beach

POV: Rose

When Lissa said she wanted to take a vacation, I thought she meant that she would be taking a break from her queenly duties.

What I didn't think she meant was a holiday at a Moroi-owned beach.

She only brought Christian, Dimitri, and I and a few guardians along - guardians who knew their charges didn't want them hovering around 24/7.

I actually had a good time - who knew the beach had a few caves that Dimitri and I used quite a lot during the evenings? But I think Lissa had a better time than me, because when Dimitri and I returned to the cabin we had been staying in every night, the door to Lissa and Christian's room was bolted.

I don't think she had had time to do that with him in a while, so I respected her wishes and kept away.
