Ch.24 Family

POV: Lissa

For a long time after the accident, I mourned the loss of my father, my mother, and Andre, the people I called my family. I knew Rose was sort of my sister, but it still didn't compare to having my birth family with me.

After Dimitri was restored, I felt a kind of... motherly pull towards him. It was completely crazy, I knew. He was seven years my senior, after all. But I still felt like his mother.

Mia always came to me for advice. In a way, she was a little sister, and Eddie a brother I could rely on.

For some time, I didn't know how to describe this feeling. Then Christian mentioned the word family to me the day after Tasha was arrested, and I burst out laughing and crying at the same time.

Because, the word family can be the ones related to you. Or you can make your own family with your friends.
