Ch.26 Filing

POV: Third Person

Filing was a boring job - to most guardians at least. It took them out of the active guardian lifestyle and put them in the mundane - albeit necessary - office work. But to grief-stricken Mikhail Tanner, it was probably the best job in the guardian life.

It was a job in which he didn't have to guard someone else than his Sonya. It was a job in which he wouldn't have to be guarding his charge, and then by chance the Strigoi Sonya would attack them. He didn't want to meet her by chance and be completely off guard. He wanted to set her free by his own terms, knowing that he had the element of surprise.

So for now, he would stick to filing.
