POV: Dimitri

I watched bemusedly as I saw the princess set up her email. We were aware that by letting them have an email - a connection to each other - could very well let them escape, which was why the emails between Rose and Princess Vasilisa to anyone else - or someone sending emails towards them - would be recorded and checked immediately after they sent them.

I sighed. Rose had led a hard life, from what I'd heard. Growing up in the Academy without a visit from her mother some holidays. Being teased by Stan Alto. Getting into trouble. Running from the Academy, knowing she couldn't let her guard down. Then being dragged by me and my team back to what she probably thought was a hellhole.

Now the Academy wasn't respecting her privacy. I wonder what she'll make of it.
