Dimitri paid attention to everything.
Even little, trivial details like Rose's favourite coffee (two teaspoons of milk, one block of sugar and two drops of cream), or her favourite hot cocoa (two packets of instant chocolate, no water, using milk instead, and if she felt particularly depressed and/or down, whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream on top with colorful marshmallows).
Little details that no one paid attention to, no one remembered, he'd dedicate to memory, and when he had a chance, he'd act on it and bring a smile to his beloved's face.
Take what Rose said two days ago, for example.
She'd just made an errant comment about wanting to get some new highlighters, and the next time he went grocery shopping, he picked up a whole set - pink, neon yellow, green, the works. She'd showered his face with kisses and told him that he needn't had to do so. And yet, she was happy. Something that Dimitri wanted. So even if it meant waking up at midnight to find cookie dough ice cream flavoured donuts to satisfy her period cravings, then so be it.
