Ch.55 Mistletoe

POV: Third Person

It was Christmas. More specifically, Lissa's favorite holiday. She loved to hand out gifts and see the joy on her loved ones' faces when they unwrapped them.

Then there was the mistletoe.

Lissa absolutely adored it, thinking it the best fun in the world to hang it all over the place and catch her friends standing under the plant. She'd make them kiss, and while normally the most fun was watching the boys tentatively touch their lips to the other's and jump apart with looks of horror on their faces, tonight something else took the first place.

Rose was scavenging food from Lissa's fridge, and Dimitri was leaning against the door frame. When Rose successfully found something, she walked out to Dimitri's arms, already chomping on the roll cake Christian had baked a few hours ago.

Little did she know her best friend was lying in wait.

"YOU'RE STANDING UNDER THE MISTLETOE!" Lissa shouted when Rose swallowed. Both guardians jumped, and Lissa grinned. "Now you have to kiss."

Rose actually blushed. Dimitri schooled his features, his fingers cupping Rose's jaw, and then there was nothing that could pop their bubble.

His fingers tangled in her hair, holding her there as he devoured her lips. She gripped his shirt, holding him close to her, greedily parting her mouth to let more of him in.

Rose blamed Lissa as to why she was sporting three hickeys when they sat down for the Christmas dinner.
