Ch.62 Vacation
POV: Third Person
"I insist!" Lissa snapped. "When was the last time you two took a vacation?"
The two sheepish guardians standing across from the Moroi queen hung their heads.
"Hans!" Lissa screeched.
"Hathaway and Belikov haven't taken a day off in two years, You Majesty," Hans Croft informed Lissa.
"See?" Rose's best friend berated her and her boyfriend. "Get a rest. Take a break from guarding me and Christian. And if you don't, I'll fire you," Lissa warned when she saw Dimitri opening his mouth. "How much leave do they have, Hans?"
"In accordance to your new laws, they have approximately one month, Your Majesty."
"That settles it," Lissa announced. "Use that time to get some sleep. God knows you need it."
"Sleep or sleep?" Christian asked his girlfriend.
Lissa flushed. "Both!"
"Where?" Rose asked.
Christian thought for a moment. "You know, my parents used to own a property in the mountains. If you want, I can get it prepared by tomorrow."
"But... but what about your safety?" Dimitri sputtered out.
Christian waved his comment away. "I'm in Court, and I know Lissa in on break from LeHigh. We won't go out, and if we do, Hans will assign us guardians. Just take this time for yourselves."
Rose and Dimitri were quite happy in the end, returning from their vacation with satisfied and smug smiles.
I'm sorry I didn't update sooner, but writer's block is a bitch and for A Moment In Time I need random things to inspire me to write a drabble. I would really, really appreciate it if you sent me a prompt in a review or PM.
