Ch.63 Birthday
POV: Lissa
I had a birthday party exactly one year ago. That was a party my parents threw, back at the Dragomir beach house on the island we owned. Rose had been there, along with my parents and Andre. This year, they were gone, and all I had was Rose.
She didn't let my depression get in the way of celebrating. Even though we were on the run at the time, she still found a way to get me a slice of cake, without letting me out of her sight. Impressive, but I didn't feel like acknowledging I'd grown older. She tried to cheer me up throughout the day, but I shut her out. Eventually, she stopped.
I cried that night, in the toilet by myself. She came in and hugged me. I pushed her away, yelled at her to get out. She stayed, just watching me. I gave in and babbled into her t-shirt, and she smoothed my hair and comforted me.
Only later did I think, that she was the best friend ever because she remembered my birthday and let me spend it the way I wished.
I haven't updated in so long, no kind of inspiration seemed to come my way, until I was just checking the stats in my stories and I realised I'd missed the anniversary of three of my stories: A Moment In Time, A Moment of Time, and Another Day Goes By. And it was in that moment I came up with this drabble.
Also, I would like to announce that we've hit a hundred reviews.
Thank you all for sticking so long. There are at least twenty people who have stayed, reading until the 62 drabble. Thank you for reading this, as there is nothing more joyful to me than knowing that something I created is enjoyed by people over the world. Thank you, and please send an idea or two my way if you don't mind.
