Shiki who's sitting on a chair raises an important question. "Is it really a good idea to hunt down this dead apostle at night? Isn't he gonna be super strong if we do that?"
Arcueid nods. "Indeed, he will be strengthened, but that's exactly why he will feel comfortable leaving his hideout."
She continues. "Besides, we have way more power than him anyways, taking him down will be easy, finding him is the hard part."
Arcueid then sighs. "And we have to do it fast, the dead apostle I'm hunting is a master at magecraft, if we take too long he might become invincible in this city."
Her tone is serious. "Giving a magi time to prepare is the worst move one can make, specially since he knows I'm after him."
I smile. "So it's a Cell situation, we are stronger than him, but we have to hunt him down before that changes."
Shiki sighs. "I don't know about that, I mean it's not like vampires can absorb people, right? Please tell me vampires can't absorb people."
Arcueid raises a hand. "Sorry! But who's 'Cell'? I never heard about him before... I'm guessing he's not a vampire."
Both Shiki and I are shocked into silence, it's Rika who speaks up. "It's a Dragon Ball reference, he's a villain from it." I'm surprised she doesn't know that.
But I guess Cell is not as famous as someone like Freeza or Vegeta, and vampires probably don't go around watching anime, even the really popular ones.
Arcueid tilts her head in confusion. "Dragon Ball? What's that?" Heresy! Where have you been living!? A cave!?
I begin rapid firing names. "Arcueid, listen to these names! Star Wars! Harry Potter! Pokémon! You know what those are, right!?"
She shakes her head. "I might have heard of them before, but I don't really know what they are." That's...!
Shiki gives her an awkward look. "For real? As expected of a vampire, I suppose." Yeah, she doesn't know anything about modern culture.
I point at Arcueid. "Okay! After we get back from from our hunting session we are going to be binge watching a bunch of shows and movies!"
Rika gets out of my shadow. "Oh~! Can we watch Twilight again!? I love that one! Why though!?
I sigh. "Sure, we can watch that one..." I guess it's fine, besides watching Arcueid's reactions to it will be funny if nothing else.
Shiki scratches his head. "But we have school tomorrow..." I glare at him. "Fine, I'll join you guys, but I'll need to use your phone Yuta."
I raise an eyebrow. "Sure, but why?"
He sighs. "It's one thing to come home late, it's another to not come home at all, so I'm calling Akiha and telling her." Ah. He's being responsible!
He continues with a smirk. "Though I might call her when it's late... Both because of my revenge, and because she won't be able to demand my return to the mansion." She can demand that!?
Arcueid, who has been silent until now raises a hand. "A-are you guys really going to waste time with movies when there's a dead apostle roaming the streets?" Ah.
Shiki looks down. "Yeah, you're right... I guess we got a bit too excited." It sucks, but every moment we spend should be concentrated on finding this threat.
I guess that's that... Taking a look around the room I can't help, but realize that Rika is a little sad now.
Well, I guess the city can wait. "Nah, we're going to be watching stuff, sorry, but that's an order from me."
Shiki gives me an awkward look, but then notices Rika. "I see, well I'm sure the vampire won't do anything crazy."
He pushes his glasses up. "Actually he totally will, but if you ordered then it's fine, you're our leader in this little operation after all."
Arcueid raises a hand. "Hey! I'm the boss here, not Yuta!" We ignore her, because I'm always the boss!
Even back when we were kids trying to murder Sensei, that is to say train with Sensei, I was always the one leading our group.
Rika cheers up immediately. "Yay! Oh~ tonight is going to be the best." Sorry random bystanders.
Arcueid at first frowns, but then her face changes to a happy one. "That's..." That smile disappears. "But what about the people in the city?"
I wave her off. "It's fine, I don't know who exactly you're after, but it's not like we are the protagonists of the world or anything." I am actually.
I continue. "It should be fine to slack off a little, besides we are still going to hunt him, we're just going to take a break after it."
Sorry random people of Souya, but my girlfriend's happiness is more important than your life.
And it's not only that either, Shiki and Arcueid also look happy with this choice, so I have no doubt it was the correct one.
Shiki has been struggling in his new home, and his sister is apparently not getting along with him if she's willing to confiscate his phone, he needs a break.
And I don't know much about Arcueid, but I can see that she's curious about TV, I wonder why she never watched these shows before...
Arcueid gives me a shining smile. "Okay! I will really be looking forward to it!" Ah! My heart just skipped a beat.
This is bad, specially with Rika here, but I just can't help it. Arcueid is a special type of beauty, one that it's rarely seen.
Rika glares at her. "Don't be too excited now..." Just like I thought, Rika immediately went into attack mode.
Arcueid giggles. "How am I supposed to not be excited!? I'm going to watch movies with you Rika!"
Rika blushes. "Why do you care? You can just watch movies alone anytime you want." I wonder if that's true...
Arcueid smiles. "Yeah, but it's fun to do with you, you're my best friend after all." Oh!? Rika has a best friend now!?
Rika squeaks. "W-what!?" Yeah, that's my reaction as well, for a vampire Arcueid sure gets attached to people really fast.
Rika looks down. "We aren't friends! Because you're trying to steal Yuta!" That's...
My soul will die a little with what I'm about to do, but it's fine. "Rika, it's fine, I have no... I have no...!" It's hard to say it! "I have no romantic interest in Arcueid." There, I've done it.
I'm lying obviously, but I won't let my cock stop Rika's happiness, if she genuinely doesn't feel comfortable with me pursuing Arcuied... enough that she can't befriend her because of it... Then I won't pursue Arcueid.
I can see Shiki smiling in the corner, he mutters. "As expected..." Why were you expecting this!? I'm breaking character here!
Rika gives me a grateful look. "Yuta~! Ah~ I love you!" And the pain in my heart is healed, thank you Rika!
Arcueid pouts. "Ehhh!? that isn't fair!" Huh? "You were acting all lovey dovey towards the teacher, so why can't I get the same treatment!?"
Rika glares at her, I shrug. "It doesn't count when it's Noel-Sensei, since she's cursed to remain alone." And she may also be a dead apostle, I can't forget to bring that up.
Shiki nods. "Yeah, she's flirts with everybody and everything, that includes me of course." He sighs. "Thankfully I was saved by a senpai of mine."
Arcueid nods to herself. "So I'm not being bullied? Then it's fine, as long as you guys are treating me normally I'm happy." What kind of tragic backstory you had.
I give her a shaky smile. "Treating you normally is impossible, since your my... friend." Ah! I wanted to say girlfriend, but now I can't!
My soul has died, crushed by the world itself, now Yuta Okkotsu will slowly disappear and be replace by someone else.
At least that's how I feel. In the end however, it's just like Sensei once said, boyfriends should make their girlfriends happy.
And they definitely shouldn't call their girlfriend a destruction machine that costs millions of dollars to maintain, and then break up with that girlfriend.
Also maybe Alice should stop bragging about her husband, no one cares that she's having another baby or whatever, besides I know her husband used to be an assassin, so she shouldn't be too proud about marrying him.
And that husband should watch his mouth around women, who looks at someone and calls them so old that they can't even be considered a Christmas cake!? Please have some common sense!
It goes without saying that I have no idea who Alice or her husband are, I'm just remembering Sensei's rants.
Rika gives me a guilty look. "Yuuuta... You can..." She sighs. "You can pursue Arcuied romantically, I won't get mad, even if I won't let her have you." Oh!?
Shiki yet again smiles. "As expected..." Why are you repeating that!? Who expected something like this!?
I give Rika a thankful look. "Really Rika I can do that!?" Has her yandere phase finally ended!?
She hesitantly nods. "If you didn't you wouldn't be Yuta... Just be aware that I won't let any girl take you." Ah, so her yandere phase hasn't ended, she just accepted that I'm scum.
Arcueid covers her mouth in shock. "Wait! Wait a second! I just realized something!" Oh!? "Is Yuta romantically pursuing me!?"
I give her a thumbs up. "Let's get married Arcueid, I'll take care of you for the rest of my comparatively short life!" I'm not immortal after all.
Rika gives her a thumbs down. "Don't even think about it, or I will end your soon to be short life!"
Arcueid has a big smile on her face. "Oh!? A marriage proposal, and so early as well!?" She seems happy about it, so maybe she will accept it!
She doesn't. "Sorry Yuta, but it's a little bit too early for me! I hope your future endeavors are successful." It's not a business deal!
Shiki smiles. "As expe-Ouch!?" I punch his shoulder, if he had a phone I would confiscate it as well.
I give Arcueid a weak smile. "Then let's go on a date! Just the three of us." I'm talking about me, Rika and her of course.
Rika glares at her. "Remember your place vampire, the sun is forever beyond your reach." I'm the sun!?
Arcueid giggles. "But I can stay out in the sun silly!" She looks at me. "Okay! Let's go on a date Yuta!" Yay! I'm making progress!
Shiki almost falls out of his chair in shock. "No! He's making progress! Maybe I should call sensei... Tell her it's code red." What's code red!?
Rika pouts. "Arcueid...!" Oh-uh, I'm guessing we are going to have another fight between them.
Arcueid also gives Rika a smile. "Let's have plenty of fun on our date Rika! Even if I'm not into girls, I want you as my friend!"
Rika blushes. "Yeah let's have fun!" She then realizes what she said. "Go to hell vampire!"
Arcueid giggles. "You're so shy Rika... Though I guess that's why you're so cute in the end." I agree!
Arcueid then looks at Shiki. "I have a question though, who is this sensei you guys mention sometimes? Is she your school professor?"
Shiki smiled. "No, our Sensei is just a wandering magus we met when we were young, she helped us a lot."
I nod. "Yeah, in a way she was our Charles Xavier." I then realize Arcueid definitely doesn't know who that is. "That is to say, she helped us control our powers when we needed it the most."
Rika quickly nods as well. "If it wasn't for her, all three of us would be lost." Lost huh? That's probably true.
Arcueid smiles. "Oh, that sounds so nice of her! How unlike a magus... Well, I'm glad you three stumbled on the rare good one." Don't say it like that! It sounds really bad!
Shiki chuckles. "She was certainly unusual... It's a shame we haven't seen her in years, I wonder what's she doing right now..."
I smirk. "Certainly not hanging around Japan, that's for sure." She would have to be a massive idiot to be here.
Rika shakes her head. "I wouldn't doubt her Yuta~! Sensei has always been free like a bird~! A bird without a boyfriend, what a loser~."
After Rika says that, both Shiki and I instinctively shield our bodies against any incoming kicks.
Thankfully there isn't a red hared maniac with no common sense here to do that, still... Damn you Pavlov!
Arcueid raises a hand. "Why wouldn't she come to Japan? This place is pretty nice, specially since the Church doesn't have too much authority here."
Shiki smirks. "But the police does." Arcueid makes a confused face, so Shiki elaborates. "Sensei is a criminal you know? And a dangerous one too."
Arcueid nods. "Ah, as expected of a magus." How is that expected!? Don't jump on the Shiki train! "So what crime did she commit?"
Shiki chuckles. "It's a long story, but basically a few years ago I suffered an accident and had to be hospitalized, that's where I met Sensei."
He continues. "At first Sensei was only going to spend a few days here in Souya, nothing more, nothing less, but then..."
He points at me. "This guys here got sick, so he was admitted to the same hospital that I was in, that's when Sensei met him."
I can hear the nostalgia in Shiki's voice. "That's when her plans changed, according to her she would need more time to truly get a handle on Rika, so she decided to stay a month here."
"That month turned into months, and almost even a year, but eventually Sensei had to skip town. It was something about her sister."
"But at this point she had gotten way too attached to us, actually she had gotten attached even before that, considering she was supposed to only stay one month here."
Shiki starts chuckling. "There were many tears in our goodbye, but then... Sensei laughed and screamed to the sky 'screw it, I've done worse!' That's when she kidnapped us."
He sighs. "She came to her senses and gave up midway through, but the police caught her, so she's on the run nowadays." I wonder how many years someone would get for kidnapping two kids.
Technically she kidnapped three of course, but Rika is a ghost so it doesn't count. What a discount!
Also it goes without saying that a older woman trying to kidnap two young boys was assumed to be for certain purposes...
Basically, Sensei's reputation is ruined forever, no one will respect her ever again. Right, as if someone respected her before!
Arcueid laughs. "What a idiot! Why didn't she just hypnotize the police!? I guess some people were born dumb!" Yeah, that's sensei alright.
Besides, she's awful at all magecraft that doesn't involve blowing something up. Basically she's a damage dealer and that's it.
Arcueid shakes her head. "But enough of that, we already made our plan, so let's go kill that dead apostle!"
I immediately raise my hand. "We didn't make any plans whatsoever though! Also I have something to share with the rest of the class!"
Rika nods. "Seriously... We don't even know where to begin searching, so we definitely need to talk more."
She continues. "Besides, Yuta has something really important to say, so everyone needs to pay attention!"
Arcueid sighs. "Sure, but there really isn't a good method to hunt down a vampire, so we will just need to look for it all over the city."
Shiki's groans. "What a pain in the ass... This is going to take days isn't it?" Probably, unless I'm right about Noel and Ciel of course.
It's finally time to tell everyone. "So about the thing I wanted to say... I think I know who's the vampire, and it might be two instead of one."
Shiki gives me a worried look. "Damn it! This keeps getting worse and worse, next thing you're going to tell me Akiha is secretly a demon!"
She isn't!? I imagine any girl that has the courage to confiscate the cellphone of her older brother is automatically a demon.
Well, I shouldn't be mean to my future wife, so I will just call her a half-demon instead... I feel like that fits for some reason.
Arcueid shakes her head. "I don't think he would ever work with someone else... But please tell me what you've found out Yuta."
He? I didn't think about it until now, but maybe I've been wrong from the start, both Noel and Ciel are girls after all.
Still, I tell her what I've learned. "So, both Noel-Sensei, and a girl called Ciel-Senpai are incredibly suspicious."
Shiki's eyes widen. "Ciel-Senpai!? There's no way she's some evil ancient vampire!" You know her? Also... You're not going to deny the possibility of Noel being one?
I sigh. "Let me explain. Recently Noel-Sensei made me go see Senpai, and Rika told me that Senpai kept staring at her, so she clearly knows about the supernatural."
I continue. "Noel-Sensei also acted super suspicious today, I think she knows and was involved in covering up the fight between Rika and Arcueid."
Shiki looks down. "But that's...!" He pauses. "Now that I think about it, Senpai has also said some confusing stuff about me before."
Rika smiles. "See Four Eyes? Yuta is always right, so let's go kill the two vampires!" I hope I'm wrong.
Noel's ass is too fat to be killed, and Ciel's thighs are too amazing to be gone forever... I shouldn't think about having thigh sex with my senpai.
I shouldn't... So I'm sorry if you are just a normal girl Ciel! Because that image is now stuck in my mind!
Arcueid takes a moment to think and then responds. "Ciel huh? Does she happen to have blue hair?" I nod. "Then she's not a vampire, but... You should still be worried about her."
Shiki sighs in relief. "At least she's not a bloodsucker, but you clearly know her from somewhere Arcueid..."
Yeah, I'm happy that Ciel apparently isn't a monster, but now I'm curious too.
Arcueid nods. "I never personally met her, but I l know of her. She's an executor from the church, and I assume your professor is one too."
She continues. "Ciel should be hunting the same vampire I am, and she could be a good ally, she ranks high among the executors."
She takes a look at Rika. "But she will never work with people like us. Don't worry though, if she becomes a threat... I will deal with her, I'm not letting her hurt my friends."
Oh! Arcueid awoke to her sudden shounen protagonist powers!? Or would it be magical girl protagonist powers?
Shiki frowns. "We shouldn't fight Senpai, but..." He looks at Rika. "If she decides to 'exorcise' my friend, then I will kill her, it's that simple."
I smile. "It goes without saying that I will protect Rika no matter what, even if I have to use Sensei's gloves."
Arcueid raises an eyebrow, but doesn't ask anything.
Rika smiles and hugs me. "Ah~! My knight in shining armor~!" She then pauses for a moments. "And thanks for the help, Four Eyes, Bimbocueid." Where did that last nickname come from!?
Arcueid smiles. "Okay! Now let's go vampire hunting!" Yeah, hopefully we will find the little bastard quickly.
I have a date to go with my future vampire girlfriend after all, I can't waste time with some loser who refuses to die.
AN: The eight FGO anniversary is almost here, and I just want to say that I would kill my entire family for Aoko.
Please let her in the game Nasu! Then maybe she will become popular enough to rival other FGO heroines in the 'art' department!
Anyways, Sensei will appear next chapter! So look forward to that!
