"Oh!? You're a fighter kid, I respect that!" The blue spearman says that after kicking me through my entire house. I don't know whether I should take his compliment or not, because in one hand... He is an amazing fighter.
In the other hand, he's a psychopath who's trying to kill me. "Burn in hell bastard!" I scream that while I run. Maybe if I get into my workshop I can do something.
Yeah, who am kidding? There's nothing in my workshop, because I am not a true mage, even after all my years of training I have basically learned nothing. All I have is my surprisingly tough body, but as I have been learning right now... It's useless in situations like this.
The monster suddenly appears in front of me. "Too slow!" He taunts me like this is a game, and to him it might as well be. I am nothing compared to him, prey, a rabbit running from a wolf.
Still, I instinctively try to punch him with all my strength. Normally I would be proud of my physicality since I'm actually quite talented at sports. It's no exaggeration to say I have multiple world records.
And yet the spearman grabs my hand without any difficulty at all, and now there's a damn smirk on his face. "Shame you were born in this era kiddo. You could really have made something of yourself back in my time." And then I feel a sharp pain.
I fail at holding back a scream. "Argh!" He just broke my fist by tightening his grip, that's how large the difference between us is. Before I compared him to a monster and this is why. There's no way the human being known as Shirou Emiya can conquer this.
But I'm used to pain at this point, mostly because of my training as a magus. I'm not some monster of talent, so for me magecraft is difficult, just activating my magic circuits feels like hell.
I'm good at walking through hell if nothing else, so ignoring this pain is easy! I move my leg up and try to kick him, it's complicated to balance myself since he's already holding my hand, but it's doable!
He dodges with ease, stepping backward, but thankfully he also release my broken hand as well. "Your tolerance for pain ain't half bad either... If she saw you, then her interest would definitely have been peaked." He chuckles. "Gotta work on your banter though, you can't just do a move like that and not say anything."
I glare at the monster. "Just shut up! Who the hell would say some quirky one liners in a moment like this!?" This man is trying... succeeding at murdering me after all. And this will be his second success.
I still don't even know why I am alive in the first place, he definitely penetrated my heart with his spear back in the school, but somehow I'm still alive.
The spearman swings his spear around mockingly. "Fair enough. Now... how are you going to get past me to go towards your little workshop? Any bright ideas?" None, I have zero idea on how to survive.
Now the spearman is blocking my way, and there's no way I'll ever get past him. And even if I did... It's not like my chances improve by entering my workshop anyways. This is the end of me, of Kiritsugu's dream.
I sigh. "Let's do this. Try to keep up with me, murderer." Someway I'll break through his guard and reach my goal, and someway I'll make that goal matter. I can't die now, I can't die right here. As usual, I'll punish my weakness.
The spearman laughs. "Hah! Keep with you? Pl-" And then suddenly he jumps back, for a moment I'm confused as to why. However soon enough the ground is impacted by multiple projectiles.
Arrows fill the space where Lancer was previously on, they completely buried themselves on the ground, a testament of the strength of their bowman.
The spearman's eye twitches, his grip on his red lance tightens. "So here comes a real fighter..." Now there's an aura of tension around him, whatever shot those arrows is clearly a threat.
A man lands besides me, it's the red knight I saw from before. "Huh, normally I don't make it in time." Then I'm glad I managed to last so long, I don't want to die just yet.
The spearman points his weapon at the red knight. "So Archer, why are you acting like a babysitter?" I immediately want to tell him to go fuck himself, but I stay quiet, it's no time for me to say dumb stuff.
The man now identified as Archer smirks. "Eh, it's complicated Lancer." Two swords appear on his hands. "Schoolgirls, crushes, you know how it goes." I barely pay any attention to what he says.
My focus is solely on his weapons. They're beautiful, and there's no other possible way to describe them, their master craftsmanship complimenting each other like night and day...
No, it's more accurate to say that one of Archer's swords is the moon, and the other one is the dimly lit night. When I see beautiful swords like that, the only thing I can say is...
"I want that..." These are weapons fit for a hero, not full of bloodlust like Lancer's but instear filled with a magnificent tranquility, they are elegant in a way humans can never be.
The two warriors never respond to me, instead they start their clash. It's not completely inaccurate to say two natural disasters are fighting in my backyard.
Each of Archer's blows shakes the earth, and each of Lancer's blows breaks the earth. Compared to them my strength is pitiful, I feel ashamed of ever feeling pride over it.
I shake my head. "I don't have time to think about that!" And I resume my dash towards my shed. I can't let this Archer fight alone, not when he's fighting a murderer like Lancer, so I'll go into my workshop and find a method of helping him.
Thankfully Archer stops me from being attacked midway through, so I'm able to make it into my workshop. I desperately look around for anything that can help, and as expected there's nothing.
It's just full of broken appliances as usual, Shirou Emiya is no magus. "Damn It!" And he's no hero of justice either, he has no tool that can give him great strenght. I have failed Archer, the guy who apparently came all the way here to save me.
However, suddenly my gaze focus on something. "What the hell is that...?" There in the floor, in the middle of Kiritsugu's magic circle is... "A finger?" It's red, clearly not human, I think.
My head is screaming at me. Ea■, co■su■e, a■s■rb, swords in the middle of nothing. Sh■ine. My head is screaming at me. Curse, that word keeps repeating in my head.
I take the finger, I should do that, I have to do that. "Maybe this can useful...?" Why would a finger ever be useful? How did this thing even get inside of my home in the first place?
I dash outside of the shed, Lancer and Archer's battle hasn't slowed down at all, I don't know if they ever even noticed I was gone in the first place.
But now there's a new person here. "Emiya!? You're still here!? Run away already!" It's Rin, the school's idol, who is a mage apparently. One incredible enough to work with people like Archer.
Her scream makes Lancer's and Archer's battle stop. Both of them stare at me silently, these predators can't believe that prey like me returned to their hunting ground.
Lancer snorts. "Idiot." I can't deny that, but I want to save Archer, and now I want to help Tohsaka as well. People can call that idiotic if they want, but as long as the insult isn't coming from myself, I don't care.
Suddenly the spearman's eyes widen, they're gaze focused on the finger I'm holding. "That finger...!" It's the weird thing I found, the one I brought with me for some reason.
Archer raises an eyebrow. "What's that...? And you went in the shed and came out without her...?" Archer is seemingly just as confused as me, even as he mutters complete and utter nonsense.
Tohsaka gasps. "A finger of Ryomen Sukuna!? What the hell is that thing doing here!? It's supposed to be sealed!" She gives me an accusing look. "Hell, I checked the seal yesterday! Why the hell do you have that Emiya!?"
I awkwardly look down, it's just my luck that my crush would have seen me holding a finger of all things. "I just... kind of found it on my shed." I don't even recognize the name Ryomen Sukuna at all.
Lancer laughs. "Whatever! It's mine now!" And he rushes towards me, kicking dirt back with his speed. No, who even cares about dirt? He just broke the goddamn sound barrier.
And yet Archer stops him, appearing in front of Lancer with his blades in hand. "If you want that, then I don't want you having it!" Their clash is restarted once again, Archer's beautiful blades dancing with Lancer's disgusting, yet powerful spear.
Rin shouts at me. "Run! And don't let Lancer get that! If he eats it he's gonna get way stronger!" Someone can get stronger by eating this?
I look at the struggling Archer. "Got it." And then I open my mouth, maybe with this I can actually help him. Maybe with this I can finally contribute something to this fight. Just ■at it already.
Rin's eyes are open wide. "Wait! If a human eats that-" It's way too late, I already swallowed it. "They will surely die..." Ah, like usual I meddled with stuff that I shouldn't have.
The battle between Lancer and Archer stops, both of them look at me with a weird expression. Their bodies are tense as if I'm more of an enemy than the other one, even if Archer still looks confused.
Rin steps back. "B-but there's a chance... a one in a million chance... There's no way right?" A chance of surviving? Because if so, I just did that.
My body moves on it on, it's so strange and fast I can't even react. The body of Shirou Emiya rips up his own shirt, his now naked torso feels the cold chill of the night. For some reason my body laughs like a maniac.
"Ah! What a wonderful era! What a wonderful start! Yes, the moonlight tastes better when felt in one's flesh! Now let's begin! With heroes, women and children lining up like a buffet of the finest meat, it's only natural I would get so excited!"
AN: Feels weird to write a omake without Yuta, but this was fun to write if nothing else!
