Little Izuku Midoriya was practically bouncing as he walked into the doctor's office. His curly green hair bouncing with him as his mother, Inko, continued to hold his hand, and smiled down at her four year old son with his All Might action figure held lovingly in his other hand. They had come for Izuku's quirk appoint to help determine what it was, and if they needed to be aware of any adjustments they'd have to make. Izuku remembered when his best friend Katsuki had gotten his, and how he needed to start eating more spicy food so his body could convert the sulfur into his nitroglycerin sweat.

The duo sat and waited quietly as people came and went around them for the next hour, but finally they were called back to speak with Doctor Tsubasa. He was an older bald man with a bushy mustache. When he entered the room, he did so with a file in hand. He seemed to almost ignore them until he sat down and spun on his chair so that he was facing them with the folder open, "I have the results of your examination right here."

Izuku started to vibrate, "What's my quirk, sir? Can I fly, move things like mom, or maybe something with fire like dad?"

The Doctor shook his head, "Nothing like that. You have a regeneration quirk. Young man, if what I'm seeing is true you'll heal from just about anything given a short time."

Inko looked at Dr. Tsubasa in confusion, "That's nothing like anything my late husband or I can do. Can you be more specific?"

The Doctor shrugged, "Ms. Midoriya, it's basically as simple as I said. Burns, stabs, cuts, loss of blood, dismemberment… he won't have to deal with any of the long term or lethal aspects of any of them from what I can tell, but don't go thinking you're invincible." He turned to Izuku, "Hold out your hand for a moment please." Izuku did so, and The Doctor quickly made a small cut on his hand. It wasn't deep or large, but it hurt making the boy flinch back in pain. "Just because you'll heal, it doesn't mean you don't feel pain." They watched as the cut disappeared after a moment like it was never there. When it was done, The Doctor reached into his coat and pulled out a protein bar and gave it to Izuku.

Inko looked contemplative, "Is there anything else we need to know?"

The Doctor looked at his file, "Well, given the passive non-combat nature of his quirk there isn't much. His body processes biomass to do what it does, so you'll have to keep that in mind. Biomass is basically fat, protein, carbohydrates… if it was living it has biomass, and the rarer the better. Cooking can burn off or lessen the amount available. It's minimal at the moment, but just to be safe, make sure he always has something dense on hand in case of an emergency, like protein bars." The Doctor gestured to the bar Izuku was chewing on.

Inko paled, "Is that all?"

The Doctor sat back as he pondered, "That's about all I can tell you for right now. I do need to stress that you keep an eye on his nutrition though, and watch for signs of altered mental status. With these kinds of passive quirks, too much or too little can have a degenerative effect on one's mind. Case in point, I had a patient that had a ossification quirk in the form of a bone-like exoskeleton. He needed massive amounts of calcium. He lost his job and couldn't afford to go shopping as often, and after a while he turned to villainy in order to relieve the pain in his bones."

Izuku made excited noises, "I remember him. That sounds like The MilkMan. I saw a video of All Might fighting him."

The Doctor sighed, "Yes. He had a lot of potential, but in the end he was just another poor soul locked up in Tartarus. Well that takes care of what I've got for you today. One of the receptionists will give you the information on a quirk councilor who should be able to help. It was nice seeing you, but…" The Doctor smirked, "Since you only need to see me if there's a problem, I hope I don't see you for a long time." He laughed, and escorted them out of the room.

Once they were gone, the smirk faded into an annoyed scowl. As The Doctor sat and took a moment to stretch/rub his aching back, the computer screen flickered and went dark, but a new deep voice came from it. "Thank you, my friend. I know you believe these conversations beneath you, but this one was special."

The Doctor snorted, "That I know, master. It's not everyday that your son comes for an evaluation. I will admit to finding the results of this test intriguing though. We gave him a weak regeneration quirk last month during the tests, but to see how far it progressed in the boy… It's simply astounding. My only worry is whether it was wise to give him the original, and not one of the copies. Given how rare any regeneration quirk is, it seems an awful waste, and worse… it seems to avoid clear observation like a sentient quirk."

The voice chuckled, "All in good time, doctor. He is my son. He will be anything but ordinary. All we need do is wait. The world is cruel. He'll come back on his own, and when he does…" The voice laughed maniacally, "Then he will be ready to accept my gift."

The Doctor nodded, "As you wish, master All for one.

On Monday morning, Izuku walked into his pre-school with a smile on his face. Sure his quirk wasn't flashy, but he was sure between him and his best friend Katsuki they could figure out a way for him to become strong. At first Katsuki had been excited, seeing the wide smile on Izuku's face, but that excitement had slowly died as Izuku told him about his quirk. With a scoff, Katsuki just crossed his arms, "So you heal no matter what? That's it?" Izuku nodded, not noticing the dark look in Katsuki's eyes.

Izuku just chirped, "Yup. Cool right. Come on Kachan. Let's go become great heroes together!" Izuku held out his hand only to have it slapped away.

Katsuki just scoffed again, "A great hero? No way, at best you'll become a great punching bag with a quirk like that. You might as well be quirkless for all the good you'll be in a fight." Katsuki tilted his head, "Actually, you do have one use. You can at least make a good shield, Jicho"

Izuku was shocked. He didn't even respond at first when Katsuki started to walk away, but after a second he ran after him to try to catch up, "Wait Kachan! I can help. We were going to be partners. I thought-" but that's when Katsuki turned and blasted Izuku in the chest. It was the first time Izuku had ever felt pain like that as the heat of the small firework sized explosion went off and singed his shirt. Izuku had the wind knocked out of him and his chest hurt really bad, but as he watched the boy that was like a brother to him walk away, Izuku wasn't sure if it was from the explosion or the sadness. That was the day Izuku Midoriya became Jicho, the dead weight… the practice dummy. Izuku hated it, but since he always healed before he could report it nobody seemed to care for the next two years.

Izuku was in a park when he was six. That's when he met her. She was quiet, withdrawn, and had a smile that looked happy, but Izuku could tell she was sad in her little pink dress and messy blond hair buns. Izuku wanted to cheer her up, so he walked over and sat with her. She didn't notice him at first, but when she did she jumped and Izuku saw a pair of fangs as she backed away. Izuku just smiled and extended his hand, "Hi! My name is Izuku Midoriya. I'm sorry if I scared you. I just saw you looking sad, and I wanted to help."

The girl looked at him in confusion, but then the wind shifted and she smelled it… blood. For a moment her eyes dilated, but she didn't see any… just the boy and his bright warm smile. She looked away, "I'm Himiko, but I don't think you can help me. My parents say I'm a demon, a monster."

Himiko froze when she felt a hand gently take hers, and she looked back to see Izuku looking at her with concern, "You don't look like a monster to me." She saw him blush, "I like your hair buns, and your fangs are really pretty."

Himiko blushed and stammered, "Wa-what do you mean? Why would you say that?"

Izuku shrugged, "My mom says that when someone is sad, sometimes they just need to look at things differently, and that I should always be nice to girls. So, since you don't look like a monster, I don't understand why anyone would think you are one."

Himiko sighed, "I like to drink blood. It makes me feel warm inside, and I need it for my quirk, but my parents just say it's disgusting and I don't need it, so they refuse to give me any." Himiko looked sad, "This is when you run away. It's ok… everyone else does."

Instead Izuku grabbed Himiko by the hand and dragged her out of view of everyone else, before he gave her a furious look, "Himiko, are you telling me the truth? You promise?" Himiko looked confused, so she just nodded, and that's when she saw something she couldn't believe… Izuku bit into his own arm hard enough to make it bleed, and then held it out to her, "I don't have any money to buy blood, so this is the best I can do right now. Drink as much as you need."

Himiko wanted to argue, but she was so hungry… so she fell to her knees, closed her eyes, and just drank until the wound healed, but when she opened her eyes she saw the boy already ready with his other arm freshly bleeding. This continued for another minute before Himiko made him stop with tears in her eyes. He looked pale, and he was a little wobbly from blood loss, but what really caught her eye was the wide happy smile on his face. Himiko started to cry, "Why? Why did you do that? Why would you help me?"

Izuku gave her a weak hug, the strongest he could at the moment, "Because you're not a monster. Needing to drink blood isn't disgusting, it's a part of you. Just like breathing. Himiko, if you ever need blood, come to me, and I'll give you all I can. My quirk is regeneration. I can do it. I just…" Izuku started to faint, but Himiko caught him. "Sorry, Himi. I guess I'm still a little tired from Kachan earlier. Can you just lay me against the wall here, and go find my mom. She's got my bag with my protein bars."

Himiko looked nervous, but nodded, "What does she look like?"

Izuku looked like he was about to fall asleep but he chuckled, "Green hair like mine, but longer. Thin, but she gives the warmest hugs. Her eyes are green and pretty, but not as pretty as yours." With that Izuku slumped and started to snore, so he didn't see the blush on the slightly older girls cheeks.

Finding Inko wasn't that hard, and as soon as she saw that Himiko had been crying, she immediately followed her without asking any questions. Inko had been incredibly worried when she found Izuku, but he looked fine, as always, and just a bit pale, something she had come to associate with him just being really worn out. After all, he came home from school like that everyday, so she wasn't very worried.

As soon as Inko opened one of the foul protein bars that Izuku had grown to really love she watched his body jolt and sniff until she tore off a piece and popped it in his mouth. Himiko watched looking confused. Whatever Izuku's mom was giving him looked greasy, and smelled like old McRonald grease and blood. Seeing the way Himiko was eyeing it Inko smiled, "I don't think you'd like it, but you can try if you want." Himiko nodded and Inko handed her a tiny piece. As soon as it hit her tongue, Himiko gagged, and Inko laughed, "Sorry dear. If it helps, I find them nasty too, but Izuku loves them, so I keep getting them. Anything for my precious baby boy."

Inko smiled until she saw Himiko looking sad. Before she could ask, Inko heard Himiko sniffle, "I'm sorry. This is all my fault. My parents are right. I'm a monster."

Suddenly Himiko felt Inko wrap her in a hug, and pet her head, "Shhh, I don't know what's going on, but you're not a monster. You ran to get me, so I could help Izuku. Thank you."

Himiko started to cry, "D-don't th-thank meee. He hurt himself because of me! It's my fault he's like this."

Inko just continued to stroke the girl's hair and hold her as she whispered, "I'm sure it's not that bad. Why don't you tell me your name and what happened? I promise I'll listen." Himiko was sure the woman would hate her after, but she owed her the truth, so Himiko started to tell her story. After a minute, Inko shifted so she could listen to Himiko while continuing to feed Izuku, and by the time Himiko was done, Izuku was happily munching on his fifth bar looking sheepish. Inko sighed, "Izuku, is this true?"

Izuku scrunched up his face in a look of indignation, "Mom, she needed help, and I could help her. I had to! The doctor and nice lady at the clinic said it's really important that people get what they need!"

Inko just shook her head, "Izu, hunny, why didn't you just bring her to me. We could have gone to see Mr. Carver, and got her blood. You didn't need to bleed yourself." Izuku looked sheepish, but Inko smiled and kissed him on the head, "I'm not mad. I'm actually really proud of you my little hero, but you need to think first. What if your blood made her sick? If you both passed out she could have gotten really hurt. Just because you heal, that doesn't mean you can take these kinds of risks. I know you want to help people, but hurting yourself isn't the right way to do it."

Himiko flinched when Inko looked at her, but before Inko could speak Himiko whimpered, "It's ok. You have every right to be mad. I promise I won't fight back. Go ahead."

Inko looked at her confused, "Himiko, what are you talking about?"

Himiko sniffled, "You're going to beat me up and take me to Tartarus now, aren't you? That's what my parents told me would happen if I hurt anyone. It's ok. I deserve it. I'm a demon, and I hurt Izu. They said the beatings would help me not be hungry, but it didn't work."

Inko watched as Izuku wrapped Himiko in a hug, "Please Mom, don't hurt her. If anyone should be punished it's me. I forced her to drink from me, and she never hurt me. She didn't even make me bleed. I did. Himiko is really nice. Please don't hurt my friend."

Himiko was in shock again. She hurt him, drank from him, but he was still trying to protect her… he even called her a friend. How could this boy be so nice? That's when she felt Inko give them both a big hug, "I'm not mad at either of you. You don't deserve any of this Himiko. Young lady, I need you to make me a promise." Himiko nodded, and Inko continued with a tender smile, "If your parents won't give you blood, let me know. I'm sure we can work something out with Mr. Carver. He's a nice man, and he's already selling us all the things his butcher shop can't usually sell for almost nothing. I'm sure he can bottle some blood for you too. More importantly though, I need you to promise me, if your parents ever hit you again, I want you to run. I'll show you where we live. If you can do that, I promise I'll make sure you always have a safe place if you need it, ok?"

Himiko just hugged the Midoriya's. Izuku had been right, Inko's hugs were incredibly warm and she loved them, but looking at Izuku, Himiko thought she might have found something or someone she loved even more. Izuku was her hero.

Over the next four years, Himiko slowly became a part of the Midoriya family. If Inko expected the Toga's to care that she spent all her time at a friend's house, sometimes entire weeks at a time, she was in for disappointment. Himiko's parents seemed to be happy to be rid of her, much to Inko's infinite disdain. But eventually they slipped up. Himiko had brought one of her blood bottles home so she wouldn't get hungry while she studied for her end of term exams, and her parents caught her. The beating that followed was the worst of her life, but she managed to get away and took on Izuku's shape to hide. By the time she made it to Inko, Himiko was limping, one of her arms was broken, and she was covered in bruises. Izuku managed to catch her before she passed out, but that was the final straw. Himiko was never going back. In the end they reached an agreement, Inko wouldn't have them arrested, but they were never to have contact with Himiko again. Inko wanted to get Himiko's little brother out too, but Himiko convinced her not to. Neito wasn't abused like her, and they actually cared for him, so Inko relented.

Himiko would join Izuku at his school, and she was excited. Sure she'd have to repeat a grade, but that just meant she could be in Izuku's class. Inko knew Himiko would end up being her daughter one way or another. Himiko wasn't really hiding the fact she was utterly head over heels for Izuku, but even if that didn't work out, Inko would just adopt her. She really was a sweet girl. Sadly, there was something neither knew until the next year and both teens went to middle school. Katsuki never stopped.

About a week into that school year, Himiko noticed Izuku was taking a really long time in the bathroom, and she was getting worried. When she went to investigate, she found Bakugo walking away from the bathroom with a couple of his cronies laughing, including a pudge boy with wings… Tsubasa or something. Himiko was going to just wait outside, but then she heard Izuku crying and whimpering in pain.

Steeling her nerve, Himiko looked inside and froze. Izuku was laying on the floor in a pool of blood as he slowly healed. All of his limbs had been blown off, and his abdomen looked heavily burned. Himiko was devastated, and tried to go get help, but Izuku begged her not to leave him… it hurt. So Himiko did the only thing she could, she put his head in her lap as she tenderly stroked his cheek and hair trying to comfort him as much as possible. After a minute, Izuku started to explain, and it all just tumbled out. The horrible story of how his best friend had become his torturer, and all horrible and painful things he had done to him. The worst part for Himiko though, was how Izuku blamed himself. He was convinced that it was his fault for being so weak.

It only took a few minutes for Izuku to regenerate and leave behind no evidence it ever happened, but it took the rest of the day to convince Himiko not to tell Inko. In exchange, Izuku had to promise not to leave her side… nobody was going to hurt her Zuzu if she had anything to say about it. Himiko never leaving Izuku's side only made the rumors that they were dating go into overdrive, much to Izuku's frustration and Himiko's joy, but it had the desired effect… Bakugo left him alone. For the rest of middle school Bakugo didn't try to approach them, that is until their final year. Himiko had to miss a day to go to court with Inko to finalize her emancipation, and Izuku couldn't go with. He had a test, and while Himiko could be excused, Izuku couldn't. There was the added incentive of remaining Bakugo's academic better, but neither teen mentioned that.

During homeroom their teacher made a big show of the fact that they had three potential Yuuei students in class, and Izuku could positively smell the boy begin to sweat as his rage built toward an explosion. Surprisingly though, Bakugo kept it under control… until after class. Bakugo managed to punch Izuku in the face hard enough to bring Izuku to his knees, but he held back from using his quirk. For once, Bakugo did it in the open, but nobody came to help Izuku. Bakugo pulled Izuku close so that he could whisper in the boy's ear, "This is your final warning. If you and your whore don't back out on going to Yuuei…" Bakugo chuckled, "You might be able to regenerate, but can she?" Bakugo punched him one more time, breaking Izuku's nose momentarily, but it snapped back into place before his head hit the ground.

For the rest of the day, Izuku couldn't shake the thought that if he didn't do as he was told Bakugo might kill the girl he loved. Sure he wasn't confident enough yet to tell her, but all the same he was left with a dilemma. On one hand he had Himiko. She'd hate him for being a coward and giving up on their dream, even for her, but at least she'd be alive. On the other, he could roll the dice, and believe that they could stop him. Himi always told him he needed to learn how to stand his ground, but she didn't understand. She'd never felt the sensation of having your limbs blown off, the sensation of having your head blown up like a ripe melon, or had to pull herself back together after. Izuku knew pain better than anyone else, and it terrified him. He knew what he had to do.

Izuku dreaded the conversation he'd have to have when he got home, so he took the long way. As he walked through a tunnel he heard an unfamiliar voice, "A little scrawny, but you'll have to do." Suddenly a mass of green slime tried to force its way down his throat, but Izuku fought… he fought hard.

The slime villain was amazed that the kid had this much fight even without the ability to breath, but then he heard a voice he hoped to never hear again, "TEXAS… SMASH!"

Suddenly the slime was forced off of Izuku by a powerful burst of air pressure, and as Izuku panted to catch his breath he saw his savior… All Might, the number one hero of Japan and arguably top three in the whole world. Izuku watched the hero scoop the unconscious villain into a bottle, and without thinking Izuku reached down to help much to the hero's surprise. When they were done, Izuku turned to thank All Might, but Izuku saw he was starting to release some kind of steam as he prepared to jump away. That's when it occurred to him, if anyone knew what to do it was the number one, so once again Izuku acted without thinking and grabbed onto the man's back.

Unfortunately it threw off All Might's aim and they ended up rolling across a rooftop a block away. All Might tried to adjust so that he would hit the roof first, but Izuku wouldn't allow it, so as they hit the roof All Might was horrified to hear the sound of cracking popping bone as his half ton body squished Izuku's against the roof. All Might looked horrified at the mangled body of the teen until he heard a groan, "Do-don't worry. I'm *fug*… I'm fine. Just give me a minute to… pull myself together. Are you ok?"

All Might was so caught off guard as he watched the teen literally pull himself back together, as good as new, he didn't realize he was changing until it was too late. When Izuku looked up, he didn't find the muscle bound hero that the world knew. Instead was a skeletal blond man, who Izuku saw hacking and sputtering blood. Seeing the confused look on the teens face, the man sighed, "I'm as good as I can be, but I think we both have a lot of explaining to do."

After confirming he was in fact All Might, the man going by Toshinori started to explain how a villain managed to get a lucky shot on him a number of years ago, and as a result… he was slowing down. He couldn't maintain his hero persona as long as he used to… he simply didn't have it in him anymore. Toshi pulled his shirt aside to show off his gut scar, "I mean that literally kid. When he got me, he took organs with him." With a sigh the blond said, "Ok, young man. It's your turn. What was that?"

Izuku looked at the man, and laughed, "I'm Izuku Midoriya, and I think I might be your polar opposite. You have all the strength in the world, but your body is failing you. My quirk, complete regeneration, means I can't die unless I'm completely destroyed. My body can't be harmed permanently otherwise, but I'm weak and useless. I wish I could give you my quirk. With my quirk, you could literally keep fighting forever. With your strength you could actually put the only good thing about me to use properly, but that's impossible."

All Might gave him an odd look, before walking over and giving the boy a hug, "Well I'm out of time for today, and this guy…" All Might holds up the bottle, "Isn't going anywhere. Tell me your story while I rest a bit. I might be able to help." Toshinori chuckled, "I'm not number one for nothing."

For the next fifteen minutes, Izuku told Toshinori his life story without naming Bakugo specifically. He might hate him, but he wasn't ready to do that yet. Toshinori was horrified, and more than once he looked like he wanted to start throwing punches, but he only spit up blood much to Izuku's growing concern. When Izuku was finished, Toshinori needed a moment to take it all in, but when he was done Toshinori smiled, and let out a loud laugh. Izuku felt kind of hurt to see his hero apparently laugh at his pain, but a part of him knew he shouldn't be surprised.

With a sigh, Izuku sank back against the lip of the building, "I guess I was right. I need to give up. The only way I can protect the people I love is if I give in, and give up. I'll never be strong like you. I tried to be good… to protect the people I love, but I need to stop fooling myself…" Izuku started to tear up, "I'll never be a hero. I'll never be strong enough to save people the way you do, but I can at least protect the people I care about. My dream might die, but they won't."

Izuku suddenly felt a skeletal hand on his shoulder, "Izuku Midoriya, you have the heart of a hero, and I'm going to help you… you're going to be a hero. One even greater than I ever was, but first… we need to drop off this villain." Izuku looked up into the smiling face of Toshinori, and he felt an ember of hope reignite.

The duo had a pleasant walk as they simply talked and got to know each other a little better, but Toshinori would only laugh when Izukuk tried to ask how the older man would help him become a great hero. Eventually they made it to a police precinct, and Izuku was asked to sit while Toshinori handed over the villain. Izuku shrugged and did as he was asked, but then he noticed Toshinori talking to a detective in a stereotypical duster. The detective looked familiar, but Izuku couldn't place him. Even more surprising was when he saw Toshinori laugh and point toward him, and Izuku saw the man look both shocked but also hopeful. Shortly after that the adult duo walked over to Izuku, and directed him to follow them.

The detective led them to an unmarked car and introduced himself as Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi, a friend of Toshinori's, and if Izuku was interested someone to talk to if he needed to. Izuku got the feeling that Toshinori was trying to press him into reporting his bully, active quirk use without a license was a crime, and the perfect excuse to look into the bullying, but Izuku stayed quiet and just nodded. He hated Katsuki for all he had done to him, but Matsuki, the boy's mother, was always nice to him, and he didn't want to hurt his mom's best friend like that. Thankfully the two men didn't seem bothered and just chatted with each other and Izuku while Tsukauchi drove. Apparently Toshinori could leap tall buildings in a single bound, but couldn't get a driver's license to save his soul. This proved to lighten the mood.

When they arrived at the Midoriya's home, the two men put on serious faces and had Izuku stand behind them. Inko was understandably terrified to see a stranger and a detective at her door with Izuku, but she invited them in all the same. For the next two hours Toshinori grilled Inko, Himiko, and occasionally Izuku on everything he had been told along with details about Himiko's situation, and there family situation. Himiko had been taken completely off guard when Toshinori, upon seeing her, had asked Izuku if she was the 'girlfriend' he had talked about, making both teen blush, and before Izuku could deny it, Himiko straightened and asked, "So what if I am?"

Izuku just froze up for a while after that, but then he noticed that Tsukauchi never spoke and only occasionally nodded, which led to a change of topic, or shock his head making Toshinori drill even harder on the current one until the other person was forced to tell the truth. This led to a few revelations like Inko admitting she didn't actually know if Izuku's father was dead, but he was certainly dead to her, and that Inko had caught him talking to some unsavory individuals a few times. When asked Inko didn't recognize any of the names Toshinori rattled off beyond news reports though. With that done Inko gave the skeletal man a hard look, "We've answered your questions, and humored your lie detector…" Inko pointed to the detective, who looked away sheepishly, "Now it's our turn. Since you haven't mentioned my son being in trouble once, I'm guessing this isn't an official visit from the police, so I have only two questions at the moment. Who are you, and what do you want?"

Toshinori smiled, "I'm sorry about the interrogation. In this case, I prefer to think of it as… an interview." He chuckled, but Inko just crossed her arms, starting to look annoyed. Seeing this Toshinori sighed and sat forward seriously, "Young Izuku has a big dream. He has a heroic heart. He even has people around him that love him to keep him grounded… but there is something he lacks. It's not power, drive, or knowledge. He needs a mentor. Someone to guide him, and help him reach his goals. I offer that… and so much more. With what I have to offer, he is guaranteed to become the next symbol of peace. All you have to do… is say yes."

Himiko scoffed, "Zuzu doesn't need you. He can do it on his own! What makes you think he needs your help!? Who the hell do you think you are!?"

Toshinori stood, "It's been long enough for me to do this for half a minute. You asked who I am and why he needs my help… that's because he needs someone whom has already done what he wants to do and because…" Toshinori's frame grew as he took on his heroic persona, "I AM HERE!" Inko and Himiko looked on in shock, but he wasn't done. He did need to deflate, and spit up blood before he could continue, "As you can see, my time as number one is fading. I'm getting weaker, slower, and I'm not able to keep up the way I used to. We have some time to do this right, but after meeting him…" Toshinori smiled at Izuku, "I want you to be my successor. I can't get into the details of how, but like my mentor before me, I can pass my quirk… my strength… on to a worthy individual. I've searched for years, but you, Izuku, are the first I've found to fit the bill… to be truly worthy. This is your choice though. I won't force it on you. What is your answer?"

Everyone looked at Izuku, but he seemed deep in thought as he mumbled faster than anyone could understand, making the men look worried, and the women smile lovingly. After a while Izuku stopped and looked at Toshinori and his outstretched hand before he shook it, "When do we start… sensei?"

Breakdown: This story is the culmination of months of thought and planning, but in the end it owes its existence to a story I came across completely by accident to relax. With that in mind, I don't know if you'll ever see this, but thank you DummyWearingAHoodie over on Wattpad. Your stories are not only amazing, but inspiring. On to the breakdown…

So just a bit of fun at the start. Since Katsuki is supposed to like spicy food according to all the sources I saw, I thought is there a reason for it? And this was my headcanon. It does really matter, but its just another fun random point of reality in the fantasy. Be on the look out for more signs of The Milkman… it's quite the conspiracy. Another story with Daddy AFO, shocker. Honestly I only have one story in the works were is isn't Izuku's birth father, but Hisasi isn't great in that story either.

Don't worry, I have plans for Katsuki, but none of them are good. A number of characters are going to end up in different positions after all and I'm a fan of balance… sometimes. On a lighter note, baby Toga is so cute isn't she, and this is pre-psychosis so there's still hope for her, yay.

Not really much for me to comment on after that in my opinion. It mostly follows the standard, except for a few minor changes. Izuku grabs Toshinori's back instead of his leg, meaning the slime villain stays knocked out. No second slime incident either, but this Katsuki doesn't need the attention. Yes, Izuku still would have tried to save him, but it wouldn't have helped, and Katsuki is already unhinged… he doesn't need the trauma or excuse to hurt Izuku more.

All Might using Tsukauchi to make sure Izuku and his family aren't secretly villains makes a lot of sense. Once OFA is passed, he won't be able to take it back anymore than AFO can, so a bit of due diligence is warranted. Unfortunately, just because they don't realize they're connected, doesn't mean they're not connected. Ignorance is a killer. Technically Tsukauchi saying anything with his quirk active could be considered illegal quirk use, and that's why he doesn't speak, and only uses nods to help direct Toshinori. It only works because they know each other well enough to make it work. I think thats it for now. Shine on beautiful readers. Shine on.
