Welcome back to the 2nd chapter of Scarlet and Violet the animation where today's chapter will be continuing the adventures of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu in the Paldea region this time encountering the water type starter of the region: Quaxly, who leads his band of Pokemon to find food and Ash has to stop him but also finds out more about Quaxly as an individual and the arrival of our band of 4 Pikachu loving associates: Team Rocket.
Once again, my action set pieces aren't top notch and some character personalities may feel OOC but I'm going to try my best and so let's continue. Also, I'm not sure on the length of each chapter but I do want to contain enough materiel for you to read so it will vary each chapter.
A couple of hours before on the plane, we see a group of three people consisting of a purple haired man named James reading about the world's largest bottle cap statue, a Meowth disguised as a human and a purple or dark pink haired woman named Jessie staring out the window of the plane. These three are Team Rocket (or should I say 4 as Jessie's Wobuffet was in her Pokeball waiting for the most opportune moment to come out) an organization of bad guys set on conquering the world with powerful Pokemon while these 4 in particular (nicknamed by some staff as the 'Dork section') are considered the weakest of TR and follow the strict orders of Giovanni (and his lovely Persian) and his assistant Matori to scout a region.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Giovanni had asked the 4 to go on a 'vacation' considering their 'hard work' which makes them happy except for Jessie which she interprets as a mission but in reality, it's Giovanni asking them to get out of his hair following a souffle incident involving Meowth and James and so they leave for Paldea while Jessie tells her friends that despite their 'vacation', she wants to capture Pokemon for the boss in this new region which disappoints both Meowth and James but decide that it would be better to do both like they did in Alola and hopefully not see the twirp except they did upon getting on the plane but choose to ignore it.
Last time, Ash had his first major battle in the Paldea region against the spunky, stubborn and battle loving girl named Nemona with her Pawmi and after Ash wins the battle, Nemona accepts her lost and becomes Ash's first friend in Paldea. Now, the group and Nemona are currently at a Pokemon center getting their Pokemon healed up while in the meantime, both Ash and Nemona look to be having a thrilling conversation about Ash's adventures.
"So, what you're saying you saw Ho-oh on your first day of adventure, you rode a Lugia, you raised an inter-dimensional being, you also won the Orange Islands making you a three-time champion, and you have a Greninja that can transform into a Mega Evolution equivalent based on the ideas of bonds?" Nemona asks sounding rather impressed.
"Pretty much" Ash said casually which left Nemona's mouth agape and Clavell dumbfounded with blank eyes.
And this kid's only twelve! Both Clavell and Nemona thought to themselves rather dumbstrucked, the three of them were the only ones there as Delia was at a nearby store to buy some necessities for Ash which he groaned at, and Mr. Mime and Oak were busy at a name all-Pokemon contest at Market Sqaure in which the winner wins a sweet prize. The Pokemon center resembled that of a gas station or pitstop in a raceway which got Ash quite intreseted.
"This Pokemon center is sure different compared to other regions." Ash said.
"This is mainly due to the popularity of bike riding in the region, people take bikes or Cyclizar's around the region causing Pokemon centers to open up a sort of pitstop like centers out in the fields though there are building Pokemon centers in case if someone's intrested, emergencies or if it's winter or extremly cold." Nemona tells Ash.
"Cyclizar?" Ash asks again. "You don't have a Pokedex?" Nemona asks again.
"I do, it's just not of Paldean Pokemon."
"Not to worry master Ash, I will provide you with an upgrade as soon as you enter the academy." Clavell responds accordingly. Hearing this, it immediately alerts Nemona.
"Still, I can't believe the champion himself is attending this here academy!"
"All well and good Miss Nemona but I'd like to request that you treat Ash with the same amount of respect towards your peers as it could cause unwanted attention to the young lad if you, please." Clavell tells her sternly.
"Ah- Yes sir" Nemona responds accordingly, a couple of minutes went by before Nurse Joy (wearing a something akin to a racer or pit crew) arrives with Pikachu and Pawmi on a stretcher with a Floette releasing a sweet aroma.
"Pikachu/Pawmi!" Both trainers say as their Pokemon jump into their arms for open hugs, "Thank you Nurse Joy!" both trainers say once more to which Nurse Joy nods happily and says, "It's not a problem, no matter what it is, we can help them. Right Floette?" "Floo!"
Nurse Joy returns to her counter at the Pokemon center and eventually, Delia, Oak and Mimey eventually return with Delia having a lot of stuff and Oak and Mimey having themselves a gold medal for their efforts.
"We're back, how was things over here?" Oak asked the three of them, "It went splendidly." Clavell told him. As the group was discussing their activities, Delia said that she bought an Oran Berry pie for them to share which excited both Ash and Nemona but Delia told both of them to wait and unbeknownst to them, a group of Pokemon were watching from the distance one of them being a Duck Pokemon who had a small scar above its eye and had a smirk as if it came up with an idea. As the group was eating their pie, a small dog Pokemon that resembled bread walked towards them specifically towards Delia.
"Fi!" the little Pokemon said getting the attention of Delia who, upon seeing the little dog Pokemon, begins to a bit happy.
"Oh, my goodness! You're so CUTE!" Delia squealed as she picked up the Pokemon and began to hug the Pokemon who looked annoyed at first but upon getting comfortable, it starts to feel a bit happy and comfortable. The duck Pokemon in the distance is flabbergasted that his plan didn't work and comes up with a plan B.
"Oh, I see found yourself a Fidough Delia" Oak complimented.
"Fidough?" Ash asked, "It's known for providing yeast through its breath making it a popular companion Pokemon for generations." Clavell told the young lad.
"Oh, how I want to eat you up, not literally of course. how would you like to come with me? -" As Delia was complimenting on the now sleeping bread dog, Ash, Pikachu and Nemona are prepared to eat their pie, an opportunity arises for the duck Pokemon and two others behind him as they rush towards the three to quickly jump to take their pies.
"What the-" both Ash and Nemona says before they looked to the smirking Duck Pokemon accompanied by a Zorua and another dog Pokemon that was brown with yellow streak on its back. "Give those back!" Ash yelled out to which the Duck Pokemon just still smirked and called out to the bread Pokemon to come with, but it was sleeping and comfortable which leaves the Duck flabbergasted once more but decides to run off.
"Pikachu, go after them!" "Pika" Pikachu said as he went after the thieves. Nemona notices a piece of Oran Berry that was left on the ground and came up with an idea by grabbing her Pokeball.
"Looks like you're the victim of the infamous 'thieving 4'" A female passerby said which gets Ash's attention, "Thieving 4?" Ash asks, "They're a group of Pokemon consisting of a Zorua, a Maschiff, Fidough and their leader Quaxly known as the 'Smirking Scar' due to its scar above it's right eye that takes food from others."
Delia looks to Fidough disapprovingly, "Fidough." to which Fidough whines at Delia's words but she still pats holds it lovingly.
"No matter, they can't just take away food for no reason! Let's go find them!" Ash said but Nemona grabs his hand. "Wait a sec Ash, I have someone who can help track these Pokemon. Come on out Fuecoco!" Nemona said throwing the Pokeball in the air, releasing a Pokemon that resembled a small red reptilian Pokemon that had a yellow thing on its head and a rather ditsy look on its face. The Pokemon impresses Ash.
"This is Fuecoco, the fire croc Pokemon and is the Fire starter of Paldea. My Fuecoco likes to eat but it can also like to track down food sources like it's nothing and-" Nemona stops herself upon seeing Fuecoco almost trying to take a bite out of the Oran Berry. "Fuecoco! Don't eat that off the ground, I'll give you some later. Could you track down the scent of where the thieves are?" Nemona asks her ditsy partner to which he nodded and began sniffing it to which it got a scent and began running like it's nobody's tomorrow.
"Bingo, let's go Ash!" "Right Nemona!" Ash said as they began running towards the source, "Wait up you two!" Clavell said following along with Oak, Mimey and Delia. They began running through the alleyways until they find the group only to see a rather sad sight. We see Pikachu and Quaxly trying to encourage a group of small Pokemon consisting of an olive Pokemon named Smoliv, another Maschiff, a small blocky rock Pokemon named Nacli, Noibat and a Azurill trying to eat the pie, but the Azurill tries to push it towards Quaxly to eat itself, but Quaxly declines for everyone to eat.
"So that's why they needed the pie." Nemona said quietly. Quaxly then notices the group including Ash who then begins to act all stubborn and tries to look away, but Maschiff and Zorua look at him a bit worried and eventually causes Quaxly to sigh and look towards Ash in disapointment.
Ash begins to walk towards the Pokemon who begin to cower in fear, but Ash kneels down to pick up his Pikachu. The Quaxly quickly turns around in shame and quickly apologizes by bowing and looks to his partners in crime and to Fidough to also apologize to which they do so. "If you were hungry, you could've just said so." Ash said reassuringly as he reaches out for Quaxly's head, but Clavell looks worryingly, "Wait don't touch it's head!" but it was too late as Quaxly uses Aqua Jet to send Ash comedically flying before he fixes his hair but then quickly apologizes. As Quaxly tries to apologize, it starts to feel a bit wobbly before it eventually faints.
"Quaxly!" Ash yelled out before it faints.
The evening sun begins to appear as the group is back at the Pokemon center now with the other Pokemon from before waiting for their friend. Ash looks a bit worried for the little duck Pokemon and hopes for the best.
"You're really concerned for Quaxly are you Master Ash?" Clavell asks the young lad, "Yeah. At first, I was angry but then I saw him help the other Pokemon and knew it was trying it's best to help the others and I just want to make sure it's alright." Ash said. "You have a kind soul Ash." Clavell said reassuringly. Nurse Joy then arrives with Quaxly on the stretcher which gets the Pokemon's attention and runs toward their friend.
"Quaxly is all better and ready to go" Joy said happily before looking at Quaxly reassuringly, "Quaxly, you need to eat. I know you're doing the best for your friends but if you don't eat..." Joy continues.
"You know this Quaxly?" Ash asks,
"Yes, let's say I know his trainer and let's just say, his Pokemon were taken away and that's why Quaxly has the scar you see on his head here." it only took a group a moment to realize what Joy meant by that and it horrified them to say the least with Delia putting her hand on her hand shocked, Clavell having a sort of dark shade covering his eyes and Ash and Nemona being horrified with anger especially with Ash who remembered his some of his Pokemon going through similar experiences in the past.
"Why! Why in every region I go to, there's always a horrible trainer who treats their Pokemon like they're nothing." Ash said tearing up causing Quaxly to put his down in sadness.
"Oh Ash." Delia said concerned, "Well Master Ash, there are people who can't seem to value a Pokemon's life and those who believe in such things don't deserve to be called trainers." Clavell said depressingly. This causes Ash to get up from his chair and goes in front of Quaxly holding out his hand towards him while still in tears, "Quaxly! If you like, you can come with me and Pikachu. We'll go on adventures together, you won't have to eat alone, and you'll get all the love you deserve, if you want to stay with your friends that's fine-" but before Ash could finish, a net appeared to catch all of Quaxly's friends, and a mechanical hand appeared to grab Pikachu and take him away.
"Pikachu!" Ash yelled out reaching out to him, but the hand went to the direction of an alleyway where 4 people in the shadows were, "Alright who did that!" Ash yelled out to which the people came out of the shadows revealing them to be TR. "Team Rocket!" Ash yells out to them, "You got that right!" Meowth said which shocked both Nemona and Clavell.
"A talking Meowth!?" both of them said, "don't bother, Team Rocket are a group of bad guys who want to steal everyone's Pokemon including my Pikachu!" Ash said.
"Well thanks for ruining the Suprise for the new guys!" James calls out Ash, "What are you doing here? And give back Pikachu!" Ash pointed towards them.
"Someone gave us a gave us a question, should we answer?" Jessie said, "I'm the teacher and so I'll provide the answers!" James added on.
"To protect the world from devestion-" "To unite all people within our nation, Meowth that's right! Wobuffet!" Ash interrupted Jessie mocking all 4 (though more in a tired expression) which shocked them, Ash's group while Nemona and Clavell looked on in confusion. This caused Jessie to be irritated, "At least have the curtesy to let us finish, you brat!" Jessie yelled out.
"Give them back!" Ash yelled out, "No, these little runts stole our last donut and I want Pikachu and I believe you don't have any other Pokemon with you which means we win! Hahaha" Jessie said laughing at Ash's misery. Nemona then steps up with her Pawmi and Fuecoco with a determined expression on her face, "All this for a donut, how pathetic. Ash let me handle this one." Nemona said as Ash nodded and stepped back to let her do her thing.
"Alright then, Fuecoco, Pawmi use Incinerate/Thunder Shock respectively!" Nemona yelled out which caused Fuecoco to launch a large fireball and Pawmi to launch a small jolt of lightning towards TR which causes Jessie to smirk and Ash to remember something important and realizing a grave mistake. "Nemona! Tell your Pokemon to dodge right now!" Ash yelled out but it was too late as Wobuffet jumped in front of Team Rocket and sent the moves flying back with Magic Coat which causes Ash to run towards Nemona's Pokemon but before Ash could get hit, Quaxly jumped in his place getting hit instead.
"Quaxly!" Ash yelled out but Quaxly is still standing not wanting to give up on his friends even when injured, Clavell then steps in with his Pokeball determined to battle, "Anyone who hurts my students shall know a world of pain! Braviary come on out and use Steel Wing!" Clavell yelled out throwing the Pokeball in the air to reveal a large flying Bird Pokemon who yelled out his name. Braviary's wings begin to metalize and flies towards TR destroying the net and mechanical hand releasing the Pokemon with Pikachu running towards Ash in open arms.
"Pikachu!" Ash said hugging his partner while the other Pokemon run towards Quaxly checking to see if it's ok, Jessie got irritated and told Meowth, "Well quit slacking off Meowth, you're our only line of offense!" "You don't have to tell me twice!" Meowth responded bringing out it's claws and launching towards Ash and Pikachu who was ready to battle.
"Alright Pikachu use Th-" But Ash couldn't finish as Quaxly covered itself in a watery veil and launched itself like a jet using Aqua Jet hitting Meowth to which after that, Quaxly covered its wings in a white light and used wing attack by hitting Meowth and sending it flying towards TR.
"Qua Qua Qua Quax!" Quaxly says confidently, "Meowth, translate!" Jessie told the cat. "It said it wants to send us in a world of pain for what we've done to them." which causes all 4 of them to cower in fear of what's going to happen next. Ash smiles towards Quaxly and nods, "Thanks Quaxly, take a rest."
Nemona steps forward with her Tera Orb and says to Ash, "Say Ash? Want to show these punks their first Terastalization?" "Of course!" Ash responded bringing out his orb. "Then you don't mind me stepping in as well?" Clavell says with his Tera orb. All three begin to glow and all three trainers threw their orbs at their Pokemon who begin to crystalize.
"Terastalization?!" The three TR members said rather scared, Pikachu had its Electric Tera crystal with its light bulb, Nemona's Fuecoco had a firey chandelier on its head containing 4 candles and Clavell's Braviary had three balloons on its head which amused Ash. "Balloons." Ash said trying not to laugh which causes Clavell to blush in embarrassed, "We can talk about that later" Clavell said quickly.
"Alright Pikachu/Fuecoco/Braviary use Thunderbolt/Incinerate/Air Slash!" The three trainers say to their Pokemon who begin to create their moves with Pikachu's light bulb beginning to light up and eventually release a large jolt of electricity, Fuecoco's chandelier starting to flare up and eventually spitting out a large fireball, and Braviary's balloons starting to inflate and eventually create vertical wind slices that Braviary launches towards the opponents who cower in fear and eventually they land creating smoke and sending TR flying into the air.
"Couldn't you do this tomorrow?" Meowth asked the stubborn Jessie who crosses her arms in denial, "Well I wanted revenge for the missing donut!" Jessie said in annoyance.
"Well, you could've gotten the 'buy 7 get 1 free sale' where we could all get 2 donuts each!" James said reprimanding Jessie, "Places people." Meowth said rather tiresly.
"We're" Jessie went first,
"Blasting" James went second.
"Off" Meowth went third,
"Wobuffet!" Wobuffet went last as they disappeared with a sparkle in the sky. Clavell shifts his glasses in utter confusion, "Will they be alright?" Clavell asks curiously. "Yeah, they will be alright." Ash said. And all seemed fine and dandy until Quaxly fell to the ground getting Ash's attention and causing both Ash and Pikachu to run over to him.
"Quaxly!" Ash said worryingly to which Quaxly winks and faints once again. 10 minutes later and the moon now on the horizon, Nurse Joy helps Quaxly once again with its injuries making sure it's ok. Nurse Joy looks to Quaxly worryingly who begins to feel sad for himself.
"Quaxly, you need to start taking care of yourself. I don't want to see you... do this to yourself." Nurse Joy said out of concern, but Quaxly still looks rather down, "Quaxly, if I can make a suggestion, why not go with Ash? He seems like a kind trainer who loves his Pokemon and would do anything to protect his friends and family like you right?" Joy continued.
Quaxly then gets a spark in his eyes but still feels unsure, "You're concerned for your friends, aren't you?" Joy questioned to which Quaxly nods slowly, "You're also worried because of what happened with... you know who right?" Joy continued which gets another nod out of the Pokemon. "Don't worry, I'll make sure they'll get into good homes if you go but that's for you to decide but I also want you to stop stealing from other people you know." Joy said which gets Quaxly starts to get a renewed sense of hope but still doesn't feel convinced. Joy wheels Quaxly to the concerned group and as she does so, Ash and Pikachu begin to stand up.
"Are you sure about this my boy?" Oak said out of concern to which Ash nods and turns to Quaxly holding a piece of the Oran Berry pie along with Pikachu with his slice which makes Quaxly curious. "Quaxly, I want you to eat well and grow up. I don't want you to ignore your food and as much as I want you to come with, I'm worried you might leave your friends behind, and I don't want to force that upon you if that's the case. In any case, I hope you take care." Ash says as he and Pikachu place down their plates in front of Quaxly and begin to walk away.
"Ash..." Nemona said worryingly as she goes to follow him, and the group follow with Delia and Oak begin to worry but walk along. This causes Quaxly to tear up a bit and doesn't want to try the food, but Zorua gets on the stretcher and nudges him along with Quaxly's other friends. This reluctantly causes Quaxly to have a bite and eventually, Quaxly begins to savor the pie and eat it remembering all the painful memories of the past including how he got his scar but then are replaced with the happier memories of him meeting his friends, meeting the Nurse Joy who saved him from his original trainer and then of Ash and Pikachu who were intially angry for the theiving incident but now, are trying to look out for it.
"Quaxly?" Joy asks the small Pokemon who turns around now with full on tears, "Go to him." Joy said encouragingly to which Quaxly nodded and began to cover himself in a watery veil and launch himself towards Ash who turned around to hug Quaxly before he hit him though they eventually fall to the ground. "Quaxly, what's wro-" Ash didn't finish as Quaxly begin to breakdown and sob on Ash's shirt and Ash hugs him out of concern.
"Quaxly, what're you doing?" Ash asks to which Clavell steps forward, "If I have to believe Master Ash, then Quaxly here wants to go with you on your journey throughout Paldea." which causes Ash to get a sort of light in his eyes though still concerned. "Wait! What about your friends?" Ash asks out of concern to which Joy walks forward holding Zorua and Quaxly turns to Joy. Quaxly looks to his friends who all encourage him to go forward with the journey and that they'll be fine.
"Not to worry Ash and Quaxly, once I get these Pokemon healed up and checked out, I'll be with Mr. Saguaro to help provide these Pokemon with new homes to both trainers and families." Joy said enthusiastically which causes Ash to be intrigued.
"Saguaro?" Ash asks to which Clavell responds, "He'll be your Home Economics teacher foe Naranja, and he also helps with a lot of children's charities and helps run an orphanage plus, he makes a great Loaded Potato soup. Trust me, you'll like his cooking."
And with that Quaxly looks to Ash and Ash looks down to Quaxly, "Now Quaxly, are you sure about this?" Ash said to which Quaxly nods some more which makes Ash happy, "What do you say Pikachu?" Ash asks his partner who squeals Pika with no objections.
"Alright then, welcome aboard Quaxly." Ash said as he grabs a Pokeball and touches Quaxly's head causing Quaxly to disapate into red energy into the Pokebal which shakes and sparkles signaling that it's been caught. This causes Ash to be very happy with his first capture in Paldea.
"Alright! I just caught my first Paldean Pokemon, Quaxly!"
"Pi Pika Pi!"
"Come on out bud!" Ash says throwing his Pokeball in the air releasing Quaxly who quickly goes to hug him. "Ready for a fun journey Quaxly? Pikachu?" Ash asks the both of them to which they squealed excitedly.
Delia and Oak look on rather happily and Clavell smiles reassuringly and Nemona wraps her arm around Ash in a friendly way, "Congratulations Ash, you and I will have to battle with a 2v2 for the fir-" Nemona didn't finish as Quaxly uses Aqua Jet to send Nemona flying comedically in the air causing Ash to look at Quaxly sternly.
"Quaxly..." Ash asks to which Quaxly whistles out of innocence. "Huh, must be in its protective phase." Oak said simply but Nemona shrugs it off and fist bumps Ash instead.
"Well, everyone, shall I lead you to the hotel?" Clavell asks to which everyone but Nemona nods, "Guess I'll see you tomorrow, Ash. What will you be doing tomorrow?" Nemona asks to which Clavell steps forward again, "He and his family will be exploring the academy, meeting the teachers and eventually exploring the dorms to find his room tomorrow. You're welcome to join us and help Ash out."
"Huh? You want me to help out?" Nemona said out of shock, "Of course, you're our student council president and you're friendly towards Ash and he doesn't seem to mind one bit." Clavell tells her reassuringly which suprises Ash. "You're a student council president?!" Ash asked rather shocked to which Nemona blushes a bit but makes it go away.
"Of course, I want to help students in need, and I joined the student council and after an incident, I became the president... Gotta run see ya, return Fuecoco." Nemona said rather embarrassingly, returns Fuecoco to his Pokeball and waves the group goodbye who wave back, and she goes on her way. "Ready Quaxly?" Ash asks his partner once again who nods and the group leaves with Ash and Quaxly wave towards Joy and the other Pokemon.
And so, Ash has made a new friend in Paldea who he helped out and eventually, Ash got to learn more about Quaxly and help it through his issues and now both have become good friends and Ash's journey continues.
Epilogue:
TR eventually after a long time falling eventually land in a tree out south outside Mesagoza in a tree that contained a Shroodle and its evolved form Grafaiai who begin to get angry.
"Um James, what are they?" Jessie asks rather scared to which James gets out his book of Pokemon and turns to the page featuring the two, "Ah, here they are. These two are Shroodle and its evolved form Grafaiai who are Normal/Poison types that like to create paint via the berries they eat and hate when people ruin their creations." James said rather scared.
"So, us" Meowth said, as they begin to huddle up, James accidently drops his bottlecap which catches the attention of one Grafaiai who looks rather interested causing the others to lose interest except for that specific Grafaiai who picks up the bottlecap and gives it back to James.
"Oh, you're a kind soul, thank you!" James said kindly to the Grafaiai which makes Grafaiai point to the bottlecap which causes James to get interested. "So you like my bottle cap eh? This one is from a concert I went to featuring the Blue Cloyster Cult with their anniversary soda bottle!" which causes Grafaiai to get even more excited.
"Say Grafaiai, how would you come with me to get more bottlecaps?" To which Grafaiai nodded and James grabbed out his Pokeball and touched it's head with it, causing it to dissipate into red energy and go into the ball which sparkled.
"You're lucky." Jessie said rather jealously, "At the very least I'm not poisoned, come on out Grafaiai!" James said as he threw his Pokeball in the air releasing Grafaiai.
"You and me are going to rock the bottle cap world!" James said holding out a fist bump but Grafaiai (unintentionally) happily uses his long pointer towards James's stomach and eventually is poisoned and faints which doesn't surprise either Jessie and Meowth.
"Here we ago again." both of them say dragging James.
Omake:
Ash and the group begin to walk to the hotel when Oak notices that Delia still has the Fidough from before in her hands.
"Looks like you still have Fidough." Oak chuckles to which Delia notices. "Huh, I didn't even think about that until now but honestly, she's very cute and I want to keep her. Mimey, if I catch her, can you two get along?" Delia asks Mimey who salutes.
"Looks like you found yourself a new companion mom! I'll give you this Pokeball to capture Fidough." Ash said rather considerate and gives a PokeBall to his mom unbeknownst to him that he accidentally gives away his free Great Ball.
"Thank you sweetie. Doughy, would you like to come with me?" Delia asks the small bread dog to which she yips and Delia catches Fidough in the ball and it sparkles.
"Looks like I caught myself a Fidough!"
"Mime Mime Mime"
"Pika!"

"Don't worry Master Ash, I have a solution." Master Clavell says as he grabs a Heal Ball "How about a Heal Ball?"
There was 5 seconds of silence before Ash sighs, "Ok" he says.

We made it through another chapter. I had to rewrite this chapter twice because of lost data but I eventually made it.
Some important things to note is that Quaxly was always the first choice of Paldean starter that should be perfect for Ash but I want to mix things up a bit making his story sort of sad although, I do feel like I kind of rushed it as an I wasn't sure how I wanted to display Quaxly's personality but I think I want him to be very noble and protective to not let others go through similar experiences.
If this afterword seems rushed, I apologize as I'm writing this at night and I'm tired so I'll definitely be more talkative in the next chapter. good night.
