Welcome to chapter 3 of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet the Animation where in this chapter, Ash and Pikachu are about to prepare for their 2nd day of being in Paldea by exploring the school alongside Ash's new capture Quaxly and all go swimmingly until TR return with their new form of Offense. What's bound to happen in this chapter?
So, I wanted to go back to the first and explain the terminology for the new academies mentioned before:
*Naranja - Orange
*Uva - Grape
*Manzana - Apple
*Platano - Banana
*Momolocoton (located where the first DLC is at and an original location) - combines the words Momo (Japanese for Peach) and Melocoton (Spanish for Peach).
*Arandano (Where the 2nd DLC is set in) - Blueberry, it's kind of strange how they don't call it Arandano despite the first three academies mentioned being the actual names mentioned in-universe but in Spanish.
Don't want to waste too much time but let's just say you'll meet the wacky and unique teachers of Naranja but let's begin.
Another thing before people comments on this, this story is not intended as a romance as it is just an adventure mixed with comedy and Ash and Nemona are just friends. Other than a sort of crush blush when it comes to certain characters, it is more just a fun adventure, but I might include some elements although it's more for comedy.
Meanwhile in the same night where TR landed in a Grafaiai tree, we see a tired Jessie, James (plus his newly acquired Grafaiai) and Meowth trying to find somewhere to sleep somewhere in Los Platos.
"So, wait, you're telling me you didn't provide room reservations at the lovely Gran Nebulosa hotel!?" James said to a tired Jessie who looked at him rather tiresly, "I wanted to provide provisions for the vacation." Jessie said to them holding a suitcase which gets James and Meowth's attentions.
"Oh, so you brought along food, a camping tent and some survival gear for all of us?" Meowth said reassuringly only for Jessie to open the case to reveal various makeup stuff plus a Friend Ball which flabbergasts both James and Meowth. "YOU BOUGHT MAKEUP!" Both James and Meowth yell at Jessie who ignores it.
"I need to look my best and Wobbuffet liked my Wobbuffet styled fingernails, so I gave him some for his hands see!" Jessie says showing her ungloved hands as Wobbuffet comes out to show his hands which were painted nicely. "Ok to be fair, they are nice but that's not the point!" Meowth says to Jessie. James then notices the Friend Ball and asks Jessie, "What's with the Friend Ball?" "Oh, this. I got it for free at the Vermillion city Airport when I bought all this makeup and plus, I want a turn!"
Jessie then proceeds to pick up the ball and begins to point towards a random Pokemon, the Pokemon she eventually points to is a Spidops, a Bug type Pokemon that has 8 legs that are tied up in a way to make it appear like it has 4 legs. Jessies then charges up her swing and launches the ball towards the Spidops who then proceeds to create a web that keeps the ball moving and launches it back towards Jessie. The ball hit Jessie straight in the face causing her to step back a bit and the ball eventully lands on a nearby walking Pokemon named Lechonk and dissipates into red energy going into the ball catching all 4's attention.
The ball shakes once and sparkles signaling its capture, Jessie immediately has her eyes sparkle with joy and heads to her ball. "Ohh, what did I catch?!" Jessie says as she throws her ball in the air to reveal Lechonk, a Pig Pokemon who (despite its appearance my suggest) actually smells good. There was a good 10 seconds of silence until Lechonk goes to Jessie's leg to nudge (it's way of hugging) and eventually causes Jessie to get an unexpected smile on her face and picks up the Pokemon to hug it.
"You're so cute! and you smell well!" Jessie said to the Pokemon who squealed in excitement but makes James and Meowth confused, "Say Jes, are you sure it's beutiful?" Meowth said to Jessie and James then adds on to that with his bookdex, "Plus, Lechonk is known for preferring mud as it's napping spot." which only gets a vein out of her.
"Well, how dare you! Those mud beds you're talking about are likely luxorious mud baths and your Grafaiai is most likely smelly from those berries." Jessie said which angered the finger painting Pokemon and gets a vein out of James as well, "How dare you talk to my buddy like that, you want to fight!?" James said going toe to toe with Jessie only for both of them to be scratched by Meowth out of frustration.
"Look! How about we just go to bed on this nice patch of grass here and we'll continue our mission tomorrow." Meowth said rather tiredly which for once, both people actually agree with and begin to lie on the ground looking at the stars.
"This is nice" All three say, until a stampede of (Combat Breed) Paldean Tauros comes by sending them flying once more.
"This is the 2nd time in a day we've done this!" All three yell, "Wobuffet! Lechon! Graff!" All three of their Pokemon yell out as a twinkle appeared in the night sky.
The next day, we see Ash and his Pokemon eating breakfast at a nearby cafe with the group, Pikachu is currently helping Quaxly eat his while Delia's Fidough is currently enjoying her food while Delia looks on happily.
"So, mom, how's Fidough been doing?" Ash asked his mother, "Doughy woughy's has been an absolute sweetie pie! Both her and Mr. Mime have been getting along really well!" Delia said very happily which made Ash cringe because of the nicknames. Clavell walks towards the group wearing a sort of PJ'S hat, but everyone chooses not to say anything. "Good morning, everyone, I hope you had a chance to sleep well? I hope you're excited because we are about to explore Naranja Academy where we'll explore the ins and outs of the school, where the dorms are and even meet the teachers." Clavell said excitedly which Ash's face starts to glow in excitement.
"Well, I'm revved to go! Right Pikachu, Quaxly?" Ash said with excitement as his Pokemon said their names excitedly, but Clavell held his hands to stop them. "Hold on Ash, eat your breakfast and then grab your stuff from the hotel and then we'll get going." Clavell said as Ash looked to his Pokemon. "Right!" Ash said as he and Pikachu began eating their food as quickly as possible which surprises Clavell.
"That boy can certainly eat alright." Clavell said, "Yes, yes he can." Delia and Oak replied. Quaxly notices this and tries to do the same but Pikachu pats him signaling he should take his time and Quaxly does so. Afterwards, the group head up the large stairs of Naranja academy which was tiring out even Clavell but Ash, Quaxly and Pikachu are having a race to make it to the top without getting tired at all.
"I have to apologize for these long steps here (huff), Naranja was built on top of a hill a long time ago on the basis of a castle here but ended up going somewhere else and they end up having the academy up here of all (huff) places." Clavell said rather tired and is surprised to see Ash make it first and Ash and his Pokemon are currently looking at the rather impressive structure, the school resembled a cathedral of sorts that had three spires that also contain a sort of field for gymnastics (with safety of course), a large Pokeball in the middle, and an observatory to the right and a shed located to the left of the academy (with a large bush out of the shed).
Ash looked on in marvel of the size of the academy and the adventures he'll have in the future, "So this is Naranja academy?" Ash said in awe, Clavell walks besides him (still out of breath). "Yes, it is my boy it will be here as long as you're here. But before we go inside, Ash I have something for you so could you please grab your Rotom Phone real quick?"
Ash complied and brought out his Rotom Phone and gave it to Clavell who got out his pocket a small card of sorts to insert it into the phone which began to load in detail about Paldea and its Pokemon until the Phone appeared to smile.
"Loading complete, you now have access to the Paldean Pokedex. Allow me to help you once again, Ash." Rotom Phone said, "And with that, you have access to the Paldean Pokedex, allow me to provide an example here with your future partner. Come on out Cyclizar if you please." Clavell said holding a Pokeball releasing a medium sized green lizard Pokemon who's back side resembled that of a motorcycle and its tail was long enough to form the shape of a 2nd wheel of a motorcycle with the frills resembling the front wheel.
This awes Ash, "Ash if you like, feel free to scan both Cyclizar and Quaxly to see if it does the trick?" Clavell asks as Ash holds out the phone to scan both Cyclizar and Quaxly to which the dex displayed information about the two Pokemon:
"Cyclizar, the Mount Pokemon. A Dragon/Normal type, This Pokemon ever since civilization began modernizing has been a useful Pokemon for carrying people and materials creating a bond between it and their trainers. They are known to carry those even if they might be heavy and are often seen racing with Gogoat. It's said to have inspired the motorcycle."
"Quaxly, the Duckling Pokemon. A Water type, Quaxly is known for wanting its 'hair' clean and prim, it creates this hair via its gel which is located in its wings. Despite being small, it's kicks are powerful enough to propel it in the water and send a Gumshoos flying."
"That's awesome!" Ash said excitedly that's until he remembered what Clavell said about a 'partner', "Mr. Clavell, what did you mean Cyclizar is my 'future partner'?" Ash asks as his Pokemon are seen playing with Cyclizar. "I figured with the Treasure Hunt coming soon, I figured you might need a partner to help you travel through Paldea and a good fellow teacher asked me if he would like to provide our champion here a Cyclizar to get through Paldea on orders from La Primera herself, I couldn't refuse the offer and I figured you'd like some help traveling through our region."
"The Treasure Hunt?" Ash asks but Clavell only says in rather cool and sly way, "In due time Ash. I'll explain everything when the time is right."
"Wow! Thank you, Mr. Clavell!" Ash said to the man who simply smiled, "Don't thank just me, you thank the teacher once we get inside, and I also have the gear you'll need to ride the Pokemon with this new adventure backpack you'll need for your school and your journey." Clavell said calmly. That's when Oak goes into some sort of thinking pose, "How can some gear fit into Ash's backpack despite it being very big and also how does a table fit within a backpack with Ash's companions having one?" Oak said rather philosophically which causes everyone to go silent rather flabbergasted including Ash's Pokemon but no one decides to answer that question.
Ash then goes to Cyclizar to introduce himself, "Hello Cyclizar! My name is Ash Ketchum and from today forwards we're partners!" Ash said enthusiastically as he held out his hand to which Cyclizar jumped on him nudging him lovingly. "Hahaha, stop it!" Ash said laughing, "I apologize, this Cyclizar here loves hugs, so he'll often jump on ya." Clavell says.
The front doors to the academy open to reveal Nemona who's walking with her Pawmi when she notices the group, "Ash, Mr. Clavell!" Nemona said waving to them to which Cyclizar stopped to let Ash get up to see Nemona. "Nemona!" Ash said to Nemona who waved to Ash, "Morning Ash, ready for a battl- I mean, ready to explore the school?" Nemona said to her future classmate who nodded.
"Well, if everyone's ready to go, I can show you what the inside has to offer, we'll explore each classroom to meet your teachers who agreed to meet you. I think you'll really like them, Ash." Clavell said as he prepared to lead everyone inside but no before Ash returned Quaxly, Pikachu got on his shoulder and Ash went to fist bump Cyclizar.
"I'm glad to have you join me Cyclizar." Ash said as he fists bumped Cyclizar's arm (or leg I guess), "Zarrr." It said happily as it went into the Pokeball and Ash caught up to the group who were about enter the academy. "Ash, from this point onward, this is your Casa." Nemona said as she opened the doors to the academy which impressed everyone in the group, the inside was huge and covered with white and red featuring a front desk where the Fidough sleep and a sort of hangout/library area to both the left and right and continued to upstairs with 2 floors above and a walkway upstairs which impressed Ash.
"This is the inside of Naranja, an academy full of surprises from every corner." Clavell said happily as the group begins to look on in awe, Pikachu walked around interacting with nearby students who want to pet him, we see a background appearance of Penny playing with her Sylveon and looking at the leaders of Team Star while Arven is over at the library looking at a particular 'orange' book. Meanwhile, Ash looked around to see a billboard that contained announcements, pictures, events and such but two posters caught Ash's eye that being a poster that shows the original founder of Naranja and Uva academy and another poster that contains champion representatives from all the schools (along with the past representatives) with the poster containing 6 photos 4 of which are the current ones, the Naranja picture contains a mystery mark most likely not updated yet and the last one containing Arandano is blocked by another piece of paper.
Nemona catches this and goes to him along with Pikachu returning with all his fur all messed up from all the hugs and petting before he literally shakes it off, "Nemona, what are these pictures?" Ash asked the energetic student council president. "Oh these, the first two pictures contain the founders of both Uva and Naranja, a pair of brothers whose grandfather served the king of Paldea before it was abolished founded two schools on the basis of learning the world of the past and the world of the future and the crater itself." Nemona said catching both Ash and Pikachu's attention.
"Crater?/Pika?" both of them say, "You'll find out more in class but if you're wondering of the photo about the champions, those are the current representatives of each academy who represents the school's strength for each year's Arandano tournament. Since your new here and just got your champion rank, it will be a bit until the poster updates it but each one is crazy strong, and I would love to match their level one day!" Nemona said excitedly.
"So, I take it there's not one champion?" Ash asks, "Of course, unlike other regions, Paldea has multiple champions due to history we were told about. The story is that the region itself had a sort of issue when it came to what we call The Artifacts which almost destroyed the region, because the champion himself couldn't handle it by himself, a group of several powerful trainers came to the region's aid led by a mighty knight who separated these powerful trainers to seal each Artifact away. It's because of their bravery that a ranking system was established with new trainers starting from the bottom then working their way up as a powerful trainer through the gyms, then becoming a champion via the Champion's exam where the sub-champions lie aka the Elite Four and lastly, those who are well respected by everyone and those who can do what's right for this world are given the title of 'Top Champion' and effectively lead the region and other champions into protecting the region."
Clavell then walks by two and adds on to the poster. "Each academy also has two representatives I might add though I'd recommend you don't face Karmine. Let's just say, if you have any problems with her, you come to me or any other teacher because she's certainly... something when it comes to international students but don't let her get to you. When you get done, we'll be exploring the dorms." Clavell said in a rather serious tone which signaled that Karmine was trouble, but Ash made sure not to not let that happen kind of sounding familiar to rivals of the past.
Ash and the group head up the stairs and Delia began to ask something, "I just realized something, I'm seeing lots of students that are of different ages around here from kids to teens and even adults." Clavell caught note of this and responded, "At the academies, we welcome students of all ages think of it as a mixture of an Elementary, Middle, High school and a college combined but there are other schools in the region that are more of that level in a way."
"Oh, I see."
The group heads through a gate that Clavell mentions of being the way to get to the dorms and halls of other classes requiring an ID which he'll give to Ash at the end of the day, they make it to the dorms area which was huge and expansive in size and this particular hall was labeled 95 to 109 labeled in roman numerals.
"This Ash is where you'll stay for your school year, Nemona could you give our honored students their keys if you don't mind." Clavell said as Nemona handed both Pikachu and Ash their keys which was Pikachu shaped that had the word 96 written on them. "Like them? I know key maker who makes some rather adorable keys so if you ever lose one, show them your ID here and they'll help you get a key although after the 3rd request it will cost you a bit so save up a bit and like the kids say, it's pretty lit haha." Clavell said trying to sound hip only for Ash, Pikachu and Nemona to cringe a bit.
Nemona then went to Ash's ear to whisper, "If he starts to use cool kid millennial style lingo, try to ignore it or if he's asking for help with whatever a certain word means, just help him out and never use that word again.", "Got it."
Clavell then asks Ash to insert the key into the door of room 96 and he does so, he opens the nice oaks doors to a large and beautiful room that was shining with the sun. The room contained a door that led to the bathroom, contained a bed, a shelf for clothes and desk for studying and contained a kitchen a microwave, a stove, a fridge and a sink plus a table although Clavell mentions that the table is by accident and some rooms have them.
"This is wonderful." Oak mentions as he and the group are in awe of the room, Pikachu ran to the bed and got very comfy with in the bed and Ash is looking outside the window which has a view over Mesagoza. "So Master Ash, how is this room to you?" Clavell asks sincerely. "This. Room... Is wonderful!" "Pi Pi Pika Pi!" Pikachu said with his trainer to which Clavell smiled.
"I'm glad you like it Ash and don't worry about your stuff, it will arrive at the end of the day along with the stuff you got from the markets." Clavell tells them, "Thank you." Delia said to Clavell. Nemona then goes to Ash all excitedly, "Well Ash, consider this your base of operations, guess we'll have lots of battles and making this your hangout spot!" Nemona says as Clavell turns around to look at the two.
"But don't forget to study, it's important." Clavell says boring out Nemona and Ash but try not to express it, "Yes Clavell." both of them say.
Outside, we see the TR spying from a distance on the rooftops of Mesagoza with their binoculars. "So, the twerp is in school again? At the very least he can stay put for a while again." James said as Jessie is applying makeup to Meowth.
"And what's this for again?" Meowth asks the sickle haired girl who's applying the finishing touches, "Well, we need some way to break in so we're going to go in as students exploring the school and finding our homeroom teachers now stay still!" Jessie says finishing up, we see Meowth who has blue and black mascara (I don't know how makeup works) and a rather large wig only for James to open up a book.
"Well, that's all well in good but the problem is these schools in Paldea require a school uniform matching that of the academy and we don't have any." James said which causes Jessie's mouth to be comedically agape. "You got to be kidding me and I wasted 10 Pokedollars on the wig."
"At least it feels nice." Meowth comments, Jessie then sees three people who looked to be repairmen down below getting out of their truck.
"Looks like a long way up." the first repairmen who looked to be around his 60's says,
"Oh, c'mon Louis, you were an Pokelympic athlete I'm sure you can make it up there, isn't that right Howard." The second guy who looked to be middle aged says,
"I guess, so this is about a classroom that's going dark all of a sudden?" The third guy (aka Howard) who looked to be in his 20's said.
"Yeah, we're going up to see what it's all about and hey, maybe you'll get your chance with that Raifort lady eh Howard?" the 2nd guy said causing the third to blush, "Hey it's not like that Samuel, we had one conversation about mystery and that was it."
"Sure, it is Howard. Now let's get up there to see this room." Louis said as Jessie begins to smirk and come up with an idea which James and Meowth are scared of.
Back at the academy, we see the group going through the schools as Clavell wants Ash to meet his teachers for his school year and head to the teacher's lounge where all the teachers prepare for their class of the day and prepare for their homeroom. Clavell opens the doors to the lounge to see 3 teachers getting their notes together at their respective desks, one teacher was male and had Machamp styled hair with a cowlick wearing a pink shirt, long mustache and an apron, the 2nd teacher was a female who wore a black athletic jumpsuit with her ponytail being a bit crazy and then there was Jacq.
"Ah good morning, everyone, has anyone seen the other teachers." Clavell said as the teachers all looked to the group, "Morning Clavell." the three say before Jacq stepped forward and said, "I think everyone had things to do today like makeup classes or it being the weekend and I think Hassel was supposed to be here but had business at the headquarters."
"Oh, must be my age getting to me. (Clavell turns to Ash) Sorry Ash and everyone, you'll have to wait until tomorrow or Monday to meet them." Clavell said which got everyone's attention. The teacher with the Machamp hair stood up to confront Ash and Pikachu, the man appeared to be menacing at first due to his size and more masculine appearance until he held up a tray of cupcakes with a nice smile.
"Cupcakes Master Ash, Master Pikachu?" he asks as both grab a cupcake and try it, the cupcake was delicious for both of them as the flavors swirled in their mouths with sweets and delight as the man offered the cupcakes to the rest of the group. "This is delicious sir!" "Pika!" both Ash and Pikachu said as the man smiled happily.
"Well, I'm glad you said that Ash and Pikachu. My cooking skills have been passed down through the Saguaro family line for generations!" The man named Saguaro said in (non)dramatic fashion. The name of the man attracted the attention of both Ash and Pikachu as they remember hearing about it yesterday from Nurse Joy. "So, you must be Mr. Saguaro that I heard about yesterday." Delia mentioned to which Saguaro nodded.
"Yes, I am and I will be your Home Economics teacher, I heard from Nurse Joy about the Pokemon and not to worry young Ash, I will be helping the Pokemon after work at the orphanage giving them clean and checked before eventually residing there with my family." Saguaro said cheerfully as he held up a picture of his huge family consisting of 18 kids, Saguaro and Nurse Joy (from the other day), "Those kids may be a handful but they're like family to me and we had 5 adopted so now we're at 13 but they mean so much to- nevermind that's another story for another day, sorry for going on." Saguaro said rubbing his neck.
"You're a kind man Mr. Saguaro." Delia and Oak said as Quaxly came out of his Pokeball to hear if it's true, "Quaxly!" Ash said surprisingly as Quaxly went to Saguaro to see if his friends were alright, "Not to worry little one, your friends are alright and are currently resting at home right now." Saguaro said to the bird Pokemon as he sighed with relief.
The girl with the Black jumpsuit went next as she put her hand towards Ash waiting for a handshake, "The names Dendra and I'll be your battle instructor, health teacher, and a literal gym teacher." Dendra said enthusiastically as Ash shakes her hand.
"A battle instructor? This should be interesting right buddy." Ash asked his Pikachu, "Pika!" Pikachu responded. Nemona chuckled, "I'd figured you'd get excited by the words battle. You'll get to know the basics of battling while also honing your skills and battling other students and possibly the chance to battle Ms. Dendra which I want to do soon!" Nemona said excitedly which made Dendra blush.
"Stop, you're making me blush." Dendra said as Jacq went next, "I'm sure you know me because of a couple of weeks ago but allow me to introduce once more, my name is Jacq and I'll be your Homeroom teacher and your biology teacher and I'm also Clavell's best friend, right." Jacq asked his good buddy who only shifted his glasses making Jacq put his head down comedically.
"In any case, I would like to thank you all for properly introducing yourselves to our new student but please remember not to give him unwanted attention due to his major status. I'm sure you know what that status is?" Clavell asks the teachers with a more serious expression, "Yes sir." all three say truthlully causing Clavell's face to soften. "Ok then, I hope you all have a good day, and I will show these guys the activity area located above here." Clavell says as he prepares to turn around but not before Jacq goes to him.
"Actually, we do have one other teacher here. Raifort, who's very interested in seeing Ash, that and she's waiting on those technicians to help with the broken lights sir." Jacq said as Clavell smiled, "Wonderful, we'll go see her right away."
The group heads down the hall to a room which was flickering and even turning off from time to time, the group enters the room but find no teacher in sight.
"Strange, maybe she went to the bathroom?" Clavell said unaware that a woman was behind him prepared to scare him, "Or maybe she transformed into a ghost?" the woman said scaring Clavell and causing him to squeal like a little girl and jumps into the arms of Mr. Mime in a bridal carry style. Clavell realizes what happened and immediately gets off of Mr. Mime who both start to look away uncomfortably before Clavell's faces contorts into a more embarrassed expression.
"Now Ms. Raifort, you know better to do that to the headmaster!?" Clavell said rather embarrassingly to which Raifort laughs, "Sorry I needed to do that at least once. So you must be the bright Ash I've heard about? The name's Raifort" Raifort said to the Pokemon Master as she held out her hand. Raifort was a tall, woman who had dark skin, a mysterious look on her face, a blue and purple flannel shirt and jeans along with several gold symbols that contained various legendaries and mythicals.
"My name is Ash Ketchum and this here Pikachu." Ash said shaking Raifort's hand as she also pets Pikachu, "I hope you're intrested in hearing the lore of this here region, it's past is full of mysteries. Would you like to hear about the Artifacts?" Raifort said but before anyone could say anything, a group of three technicians walked in consisting of a purple haired girl wearing a bun (Jessie), a man with blue hair that had a casual appearance (James) and a Meowth having a beard all with technician costumes.
"Sorry to interrupt but we heard about a faulty light, and we heard it's this room?" The Not-James said getting Clavell's attention who had a suspicious look but shrugged it off, "Ah yes, it's that light over there." Clavell said casually as the three walked over to the light with their ladder and tools and begun to work on the light. Clavell then turned to Nemona, "Nemona, could you show our group the Student Council room real quick? I have a few things to discuss with Raifort." Clavell said as Nemona nodded and ushered everyone along to the Student Council room.
Clavell then went to Raifort's ear and whispered something that made her smirk which she quickly wiped away and went out of the room to the closet to grab some stuff while the three technicians were working.
We then see the group walk outside to the battlefield, the battlefield despite what it looks like is actually within the school and was built there for outside gym activities and Pokemon training and battling. This impresses Ash though confuses Oak on how that's possible from a Architectual standpoint to which even Clavell doesn't know. Close by, we see the three technicians following far behind ready for the plan.
"You know the plan, right?" Jessie says to her partners, "Of course, once they're distracted, we take Pikachu and create a smokescreen to get onto our blimp." Meowth said with confidence. "Careful, one wrong step and we're toast!" James whispered to the two and then Wobuffet comes out to almost say his name before being returned by Jessie. They walk to the entrance to the field and before they could do anything, their feet (and Meowth's body) were entangled with before eventually being upside down aside from Meowth who was stuck there without being flipped.
This catches the attention of the group to which Pikachu and Ash prepare to help, "Alright Pikachu, use Iron Tail to-" Clavell then puts his hand up in front of Ash stopping them. "Don't bother Ash, they're Team Rocket." Clavell says simply catching the groups attention quickly and Raifort comes out of a bush quickly placing a large rock in place of her leg holding the rope. "I will admit you did help with the light, so I thank you." Clavell said casually, "Well when you've been through 8 regions like we have, we learn a thing or two." The trio said both happily and rather scared at the same time.
"Oh, I've heard of you guys, an evil organization that try to rule the world. Tell me your secrets including your talking Meowth. Raifort says casually to which everyone looks at her.
"Not the time!" Everyone says to which Raifort sweats nervously before facing TR with the group and Ash stepping forward, "Mr Clavell, how did you know?" Ash asked the principal, "By the matter of deduction." Clavell responds making TR nervous.
"Haven't you always found it strange they don't hide their hair via dying it or Meowth hiding his tail and the fact it can talk normally? or the fact we knew our technicians for so long that if they were absent and send someone else, they would call and even wear their badge on their right brea- right side of your body." Clavell clarified, "That to me is not lit" Clavell continued but makes everyone cringe again because of the slang.
Clavell then walks closer to the three and looks at them directly, "If you hurt any of my students, their Pokemon or my staff in anyway (Leans in closely), I'll make sure our unwelcomed visitors get an unwelcomed goodbye" Clavell says deeply scaring them, "I'll see through your disguise every time, so you'll have to try something else that can fool me or get passed my 4 eyes. Now wait here while I call officer Jenny." Clavell continued rather lowly creeping them out.
"I think I'm horrified to do our intro." Jessie said shivering, "Me two" Meowth said rather scared.
James sees an opportunity and smirks, "But you forgot one thing, we now have offense! Grafaiai, come on out and use Slash on these ropes!" James said throwing his Pokeball releasing Grafaiai.
"Graff!" It said as its middle fingers were shown glowing and slashing the group out of the ropes, Ash grabs his dex to analyze it:
Grafaiai, The Toxic Monkey Pokemon. A Normal/Poison type and the evolved form of Shroodle, this Pokemon is said to create its own paint via eating berries and no one Grafaiai looks the same with these paints.
Ash then steps forward, "Well, you won't get away with this. Pikachu let's get ready to rumble!" "Pika!" Pikachu said ready for battle. Nemona then walks besides him with her Pawmi, "Ash, let's team up for this one. As student council president, I have to make sure everyone's ok or I won't forgive myself. Pawmi you ready!?" "Paw!"
"You're two against one!" Ash said to them, "I don't think so. Lechonk show the world your beauty!" Jessie yells out releasing her Lechonk. Ash grabs his dex to scan it:
"Lechonk, the Hog Pokemon, Normal type. Lechonk are known to spend their time in the mud but ironically also prefers getting clean afterwards, it is said to enjoy delicious berries to make itself smell good."
Jessie then gets angry by the dex description, "That dex is full of lies! Lechonk use Disarming voice!" "Grafaiai use Poison Fang!" Both TR members say as their Pokemon began to attack with Lechonk releasing a fairy dust like attack from its throat and Grafaiai's fangs start to glow purple as it rushes torwards the opponents. Ash and Nemona nod and ordered their commands, "Pawmi ride on Pikachu until halfway!" Nemona said, "You heard her Pikachu start to run as soon as Pawmi's on!" Ash said as Pikachu nodded with Pawmi getting on and Pikachu starts to run.
They got halfway until Nemona commanded, "Pawmi jump off!" Pawmi did as she commanded and jumped off of Pikachu, "Pikachu! Hop left to avoid Disarming voice and use Iron Tail to catch that bite!" Ash commanded as Pikachu's tail began to metalize and jumped to avoid the attack and spined to attack Grafaiai who latched on to Pikachu's tail which had no effect. Pikachu then threw Grafaiai over to the standing Lechonk who was looking in the air. "Pawmi use Thunder Shock!" Nemona said causing Pawmi to release a jolt of electricity towards Lechonk and the flying Grafaiai shocking them and sending them towards TR who stumbled back.
"Alright!" Ash said as he and Nemona high fived each other with Pikachu and Pawmi doing the same, Grafaiai wasn't giving up and stood back up to fight while Jessie held her unconscious Lechonk. "Alright way to go Grafaiai!" James said as Grafaiai began to cover its hands in a white light, but Clavell and Raifort immediately realized what that move was and went in front of the group, "That's Metronome, brace for impact!" Clavell said shielding his group.
Metronome is a move that gives the user a random move, so Clavell was right to be worried. This causes TR to get excited at the prospect of possible Roar of Time (Dialga's signature move) or Draco Meteor and the Grafaiai's hands imploded with light with TR disappearing... to the right of the group making them still there and Grafaiai putting his head down disappointingly to which James hugs him. The scenario causes the group to suddenly hold in their laughter for that event that causes TR to get angry.
"How dare you! Meowth Fury Swipe them!" Jessie yelled out as Meowth created its claws and rushed at them, "Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" "Pawmi Thunder Shock let's go!" both trainers say to their Pokemon launching Meowth towards TR with two jolts of electricity and sending them flying.
"In a rare instance, someone saw through our appearance which really infuriates me! But at the same time, I'm scared of that man even more than the boss." Jessie said rather scared.
"Let's face it, that school will be the only place where we can't disguise ourselves otherwise, we're doomed." Meowth said accepting reality. "Well, I won't forgive them for laughing at my Grafaiai" James said showing his Pokemon a bottlecap from a Guns N Roselias concert.
"Wobuffet." he said sadly as they disappeared with a twinkle.
It was around pre-evening with the group were now in the nurse's office getting Pikachu and Pawmi checked out while by a nurse in the school and Clavell is seen talking to Officer Jenny (who's design in the region was similar to their Alolan appearance with the short-sleeved appearance but with the addition of sunglasses, tanned skin and accompanied by her Mabosstiff and is actually the school's security guard) about the incident and description of TR to keep them out.
Inside the office, we see a nurse with lightish purple and velvet hair examining and healing the Pokemon. "Well, your Pokemon are now healed up and Ash, my name is Miriam, and you can trust on me to heal your Pokemon at any time!" Miriam said happily as Pikachu and Pawmi hopped on their respective trainers' shoulders to nudge them. "Thank you, Miss Miriam!" both Ash and Nemona say as they walk out of the office to see that Clavell was finishing up and Jenny walks over to them to check on them.
"You two aren't hurt, are you?" Jenny asks to which both trainers shook their heads no. Jenny sighed with relief, "That's good, we're going to stay around the academy for a few weeks to make sure those three aren't around. We also found the actual technicians, they're alright with no injuries but we're having them checked up at the nearby clínica just in case, you kids becareful and let me and Mabosstiff know if anything's up, alright." "Bosstiff!" both say to which Ash scanned it.
"Mabosstiff, The Boss Pokemon, a Dark type and the evolved form of Maschiff. Despite this Pokemon's more scary appearance, it actually is a friendly Pokemon who puts up a scary face to scare off evil people."
"Huh, that's one good boi." Nemona says as Jenny leaves. Clavell then looks to them out of concern, "I'm glad you're alright but still, remember to always come to me or a nearby teacher, I don't want to lose a student. Especially you Pikachu, you come to me or a teacher." Clavell said getting a nod out of the 4.
It was around evening when we see the group at the airport with Oak, Mr. Mime, Fidough (who was saying goodbye to Quaxly) and Delia preparing to leave for home with Delia reassuring Fidough that Kanto will be wonderful. Ash (although a bit sad) is ready to accept them leaving to which Delia walks over and pats his shoulder.
"Ash, I hope you'll have a fun time here at the academy and I want you to contact me if you have any problems or want me to visit you."
"Remember my boy, you can always contact me if you want to make any Pokemon changes and to show new never before seen Pokemon in Paldea." Oak said patting the boy. Delia looked to Clavell, "Mr Clavell, please make sure Ash is alright and if you need me for anything at all, I'll be there." Delia said to the principal who nodded, "Miss Delia, I promise you I'll keep your son safe and sound and make sure he enjoys his time here." Clavell said reassuringly.
Delia then looks to Nemona who stands firm with her Pawmi to which Delia smiled, "Nemona dear, can you protect Ash?" which causes Ash to be embarrassed, "Mom! I'm the champion! I'll be fine." Ash said rather embarrassed which caused Delia to giggle. "Consider it done Miss Ketchum!" Nemona said action rather adorkable. the speakers announce the group's plane number causing everyone to grab their bags and Quaxly to wave goodbye to his friend who was formally in crime.
"Goodbye Ash." Delia said kissing Ash's head and heads towards her terminal with Oak, Fidough and Mimey as they wave torwards Ash, Pikachu, Nemona and Clavell who wave back as they disappear through the terminal towards their plane. Ash starts to frown a bit, but Clavell puts a hand on his shoulder reassuring him things will be fine as the 3 (6 with Ash and Nemona's Pokemon) head to their taxi and back to the school to have dinner. Nemona also asks Ash for his number to have conversations.
We see Ash at his dorm with Pikachu, Cyclizar and Quaxly laying on Ash's bed looking towards Ash who's looking torwards his ceiling, he finds out from Clavell that he'll have some stuff to do tomorrow so he asks Ash he can do what he wants tomorrow before the big day after that day. Ash looks to his ID he got before he went to bed and his school uniform hanging above a closet door as the academy requires uniforms, but Ash is allowed to wear non uniforms outside of school and in school on weekends and on special days.
"Well, you three, our journey begins right here. You ready for this adventure onwards?" Ash asked his Pokemon who all said their names excitedly, "Tomorrow, we'll find out what to do and we'll figure out our plan onwards." Ash continued as he got up from his bed to hold out his hand, "To a new adventure!" Ash said as Pikachu, Quaxly and Cyclizar fist bump Ash as well. "Pika/Quack/Zar!" the Pokemon said as they begin to lie down and sleep to a new adventure awaiting them.
No Omake this time but we have officially reached the end of the Introduction Arc and we begin the school life arc where Ash goes on adventures for the first week before going to meet Geeta and preparing for the Treasure Hunt. Ash also got a Cyclizar this chapter and while he's getting his new teammates faster, he won't use Cyclizar officially in a fight as it's more of a ride and support Pokemon similar to how Rockruff was originally just a supporting character before eventually being caught and joining the team so it won't be long until it joins though it will be a bit before we get to thie point where we're introduced to the cover Legendary of the story, Koraidon.
Either way, I'm glad you guys are joining along for the ride, and I hope you enjoy it. The next episode will focus on Ash's last free day before his first day and we have a sort of introductory episode to Nemona's own goals and backstory and should be more of a simple chapter but will expand on Nemona and the next couple of chapters will focus on the school life arc but will focus on Penny's and Arven's introductions but will also show Ash's school life to make things intresting.
