Hi there and welcome to a new chapter of Pokemon the animation: SV and before we begin, I want to address something: You guys want Ash's age to be closer to that of the main cast and although I was internally debating to myself and even a bit annoyed to make this choice I eventually relented and from this chapter onwards, Ash is officially 12 years old. It's not 14 but it's at least close to the others and I might even do a birthday episode where he turns 13. I'll go back to change some details about his age but other than his age now being 12, there's no timeskip that automatically goes by, he's just 12 from the beginning and again, I'll go back to edit this.
Onto the chapter itself, it will focus on Ash's first solo free day before his first day at school and decides to go to the battlefield to do some training when he encounters Nemona who asks a favor of Ash and Ash goes with her to a large peak behind the school in Paldea to have a view of the ocean and figure out what Nemona's request is. This chapter is meant to be simpler and will introduce you to how Nemona got her Pokemon and what her goal is which will make Ash question his own goal.
Here's a bit of lore with the champion representatives of the previous chapter (though not final as of now), each academy has two representatives who represents the champion ranked trainers of the school's and in the future, they will participate in a tournament at the academy of Arandno once all academies have two champions:
Naranja's (Located in Mesagoza) representative is Ash Ketchum as the two previous champions have since graduated and have moved on to other things, a 2nd champion has yet to appeared and so once someone becomes a champion ranked trainer, the academies can begin preparation for this tournament.
Uva's (Located near Levincia) representatives are a sibling duo named Karmine and Kieran who are the opposite from each other, Karmine is cold towards international trainers but for what reason is currently unknown while her brother is shy and yet is very polite and willing to apologize for his sister's actions.
The rest from here are OC's but since this is early on into the series, I could change my mind about their appearances.
Platano's (Located in Porto Marinada) representatives are currenty unknown (aka I'm working on them but one of the figures is a returning character).
Manzana's (located in Montenvera) representatives is a boy named Rider (who's basically my personal OC), a boy with gray hair, dark skin and red eyes who wants to be champion that people can recognize and not treated as a kid who's guided by his love interest/childhood friend the rather stoic appearing but actually kind Mina, the other repreasentative.
Momolocoton's (Located in Kitakami) representatives are a couple named Brecol (A friend of mine's sort of OC) a sort of emoish non-binary individual who appears stoic but loves their girlfriend, the beautiful pink haired named Rui who claims to be the descendant of the founder of the land of Kitagami.
Lastly, Arandano's representatives have never been identified as Arandano is a more secretive school than the others and will only allow for certain people like Getta, the headmasters, champions and any politicians to know who they are.
Without further ado, let's begin. Also, we're going to get Ash's first training sequence at the beginning and since I suck at battle descriptions, I'll likely do terribly with training, so I apologize and I'm also trying to plan out some filler episodes so not all of it is just story based but I mainly focused on the plot of the story and the important episodes first before filler so it could be a bit.
It was a beautiful morning at Naranja academy where the bright sunny rays shined down on everyone and on Ash who begun to wake up alongside his Pikachu, Cyclizar and Quaxly who yawned. "Morning everyone." Ash said groggily as his Pokemon responded back with a yawn and an alarm clock that said 6:30 and began to stretch. Ash did a typical morning routine of brushing his teeth, taking a shower, and giving his Pokemon their breakfast that Delia bought for Ash as he also began to make his toast and pour in cereal. With everyone energized, Ash returned Cyclizar and Quaxly to their balls and Pikachu got on his shoulder and stepped out the door outside the dorm wearing his civilian clothing.
Clavell told Ash the day prior that he will have some stuff to do and so asked Ash to do what he wants tomorrow as long as it doesn't cause trouble and so Ash decides to head to the battlefield to train, the battlefield today featured students hanging out, running around the track and exercising. With that, Ash sent out Cyclizar and Quaxly who are stretching at the moment and Ash smiled towards at them.
"Alright Quaxly, today is your first day training and I want to see how you do when it comes to battling and so Pikachu will be your sort of guide in a way to help you battle for the future. Pikachu, don't attack but try to analyze Quaxly's movement when it comes to battling." Ash said to his Pokemon to which they said their name in agreement and Cyclizar laid down to watch from the sidelines. Both Pokemon went to the opposite sides of the field with Quaxly going to his left and Pikachu going to his right in battle positions.
"Begin!" Ash said as Quaxly began to rush at Pikachu with Aqua Jet who quickly dodged the attack, Quaxly then rushed at Pikachu using Wing Attack with Ash beginning to realize what Quaxly is going for but still kept analyzing. Quaxly begins to tense up its muscles causing a sort of red energy to appear over Quaxly. That was Work Up Ash thought to himself, Work Up is a move that boost both ATK and which made Quaxly powered-up. Quaxly then begins to cover itself in a watery veil to launch itself with Aqua Jet and that's when Ash shouted.
"Pikachu use Electro Web towards the ground!" Ash said as Pikachu began creating an electrized web towards the ground and with no way to stop the Aqua Jet, Quaxly trips over the Electro Web and falls to the ground. Quaxly starts to get irritated a bit and his body starts to glow with a watery glow known as Torrent, an ability that boosts water moves. "And enough!" Ash yelled out getting both Pokemon's attentions.
Ash goes to Quaxly with a proud smile, "Quaxly, I think you're doing great, but we need to focus more on the defensive aspects such as blocking and using your footwork to avoid oncoming attacks!" Ash said to Quaxly who looked to be a bit confused, "It's just that rushing in will only get you damaged and will tire you out, leaving you open for open attacks, so you want to balance that out through hops and such. Here, let me show you what I learned back in Kalos." Ash said as he began to sort have a dance like motion which Pikachu began to copy and eventually, Quaxly gets interested and started to do the same thing.
"That's the spirit Quaxly! Just keep doing what we're doing, and you'll get the hang out of it." Ash said encouragingly as even Cyclizar even begins to copy those movements while quadrupedal. As they were doing that, Nemona and Pawmi was walking out the door and saw Ash and decides to go to him. "Ash!" Nemona yelled out getting the group's attention.
"Oh, morning Nemona! We were just doing some training, want to join us?" Ash asked the student council president, "As much as I want to and I really want to, I was thinking I'd head up to my favorite spot to have an ocean view." Nemona said which gets Ash's attention.
"An ocean view?" Ash asks, "Uh huh, there's a cliff spot out east where it leads to the rocky paths of the Estern South Province where you have a beautiful view of Mesagoza, Los Platos and my home of Capo Poco and of course, the ocean and in truth, I want to ask you something. You want to come with Ash?" Nemona asks which causes Ash to look at his Pokemon who looks pumped to go and so Ash nodded which made Nemona happy. "Alright Ash, I have to go grab my backpack and then we'll be ready to go!" Nemona said as she went out the doors.
Ash returned his Pokemon and headed out to follow Nemona and along the way, we see Arven serving out stew to other students in the cafeteria and Penny looking at a poster for an Eeveelution contest with her Flareon.
Ash was walking alongside Nemona down the stairs to the main hall with Pikachu and Pawmi on their respective trainers' shoulders until two students walked up to Nemona seemingly worried, "Ms. President, we have a situation!" A male student said, "Something really major!" A female student says urgently as Nemona put her hands up to calm them down. "Now now, what seems to be the issue here?" Nemona said calmly, "A duo of Team Star members have been seen with a Grafaiai trying to spray paint something on the brick walls of the market area!" The male student said, "And my shirt feels wrong!" The female student says as Nemona face became a bit more serious and determined.
"Your shirt is backwards and go report to a nearby teacher or Clavell of the incident, I'll go there right away!" Nemona told them confidently to which the students nodded and Nemona looked to Ash, "Ash, will you help me out a bit?" Nemona asks Ash, "Yes I will" Ash responded as both immediately head out the doors to face TS. We see both Ash and Nemona tired out of their minds over going down such long stairs.
"It's just as Clavell said, it's a Paldean version of an Alolan Grand Trial." Ash said exacerbated alongside Nemona except for their Pokemon who were getting the exercise, they soon arrive to the market square to see two Team Star goons (not the same ones from the first chapter) using Grafaiai to paint 'Join Team Star!' on the walls of the Mesagoza buildings. This caused Ash to point at them, "Hey! Stop that!" Ash yelled out as Pikachu jumped off his shoulder ready for battle with Nemona walking beside him Pokeball ready with a determined expression.
"I will have you clean up this mess so come with me now or else." Nemona said simply, "And who are you to jud-" A female runt tried to say but a male grunt held his arm up like something's up and said, "Hold it, I recognize the two of ya. You're that champion kid and student council president? Ohoho, once I beat the two of a and take ya to our boss, he'll flip with excitement towards the champion and unrelented anger towards the president. C'mon Mena, let's take em!" "With pleasure."
"Well, this 'boss' can wait, Quaxly come on out!" Ash said causing Pikachu to be confused.
"Pika." it said, "Oh sorry buddy, I wanted Quaxly to have a turn." Ash said causing Pikachu to sigh but understands and steps back to allow Quaxly to come out of his ball for battle. "Quax!" Quaxly says ready for battle as he jumps left and right using the techniques from earlier.
"Don't fight this alone Ash. Fuecoco, come on out!" Nemona yelled out with Fuecoco coming out of its ball... asleep causing all trainers to be shocked, "IT'S ASLEEP!" the 3 trainers say except for Nemona who just sighs but Ash laughs this off. "Kind of sounds like my Rowlet, he'll sleep even when sent out to fight haha." Ash says casually with Fuecoco suddenly waking up for battle.
"Coco!" it said with blazing determination, "Now you're ready?" Nemona asks the fire croc who nods which gets a smile out of Nemona, "Good! Alright you're going down Team Star!" Nemona yelled out ready for battle causing the two grunts to take out their Pokeballs.
"So, it's that way eh, alright then, Pawniard come on out!" the male grunt says, "Maschiff you too!" the female grunt says as they both throw out their Pokeballs releasing their battle ready Pokemon. "Alright then, Quaxly use Aqua Jet on Pawniard!" "Fuecoco Incinerate on Maschiff!" both trainers say to their Pokemon as Quaxly covered himself in a watery veil and launched itself towards Pawniard catching it off guard while Fuecoco launched a large fire ball towards Maschiff who jumped above the fire ball.
With Pawniard caught off guard, Quaxly sees an opportunity and Ash notices this, "Quaxly use a flurry of Wing Attacks, let's go!" Ash yells out as Quaxly's wings start to glow and hit Pawniard multiple times causing it to stumble back before his trainer sees an opportunity himself. "Pawniard use Fury cutter multiple times!" The male goon yelled out also causing Pawniard's blades to glow and rush at Quaxly.
"Focus on your evasion!" Ash yelled out with Quaxly using the dodging technique to get himself back, Quaxly hopped back and back and eventually stumbled himself but sees an opportunity. Once Pawniard was about to attack the fallen Quaxly, Quaxly uses its feet to trip over Pawniard which caught both it and its trainer off guard. "What?!" the goon said causing both Ash and Quaxly to smile with confidence.
Meanwhile, Maschiff tries to bite Fuecoco who dodges each attack with ease causing the female grunt to be frustrated. "Alright Maschiff use Hone Claws!" the female grunt said as Maschiff's claws start to glow red with Maschiff's body starting to glow red boosting its ATK and Accuracy, but Fuecoco just sits there rather ditzy looking and Nemona looking rather casual. "Alright Maschiff use Bite!" the female goon said as the dog Pokemon began to rush at Fuecoco but simply just moved a little to dodge the attack causing Maschiff to stumble to the ground.
"Huh!? Why didn't the increase of accuracy do anything!?" the female grunt says shocked,"Simple Unaware is Fuecoco's ability, it allows him to ignore any increases from the opponent so a boosted attack or defense means nothing for my little buddy who can shrug off those boosts and now, we finish this."
"Fuecoco/Quaxly use Incinerate/Aqua Jet!" Both Ash and Nemona say as Quaxly uses it's Aqua Jet to send Pawniard flying and Fuecoco creating a large fire ball to Maschiff causing both Pokemon to be defeated by Ash and Nemona who both celebrate and high five each other. The grunts return their Pokemon in their balls and attempt to make a run for it until a man with a pink shirt grabbed both of their shoulders revealing himself to be Saguaro.
"And where do you think you're going?" Asked the deep voiced man to which the grunts (who are losing their mind right now) sent out two water types and began cleaning, "Um we were just preparing to clean up this mess Mr. Saguaro." the female grunt said getting a nod out of the man. "That's right and I will have both of you clean up these walls by the next hour and we'll take a field trip up to Clavell's office. (He looks to Ash and Nemona) Not to worry Master Ash and school president Nemona, I'll handle these two." Saguaro said calmly getting a nod out of the both of them with both trainers returning their sent out Pokemon thanking them for their actions.
The two then head to the nearby bakery/sandwich shop to get some sandwiches for the trip and while walking Ash looked to Nemona, "I will admit, those were some impressive battling skills." Ash said causing Nemona to blush a bit, "Ah it was nothing. Even though Fuecoco likes to sleep, he is a pretty good battler and expert cuddler." Nemona said happily causing a pout from Pawmi, "I didn't forget about you Pawmi." Nemona continued saying with her rubbing Pawmi's ears.
They walked to the bakery/sandwich shop, but Ash had something on his mind, "So what exactly is Team Star?" Ash asked which caused Nemona to think for a moment before she said anything. "Team Star are a group of bullies who like to harass people into joining their team and want nothing more than to annoy others. truth is, around a year ago, there was a massive 'battle' let's say that resulted in those students dropping out and Team Star being the instigators but at the same time, the school came under fire for not stopping Team Star sooner causing the entire staff to resign including the previous headmaster and the main instigator of TS has been unidentified and has disappeared somewhere but TS continues on through bosses who have been partially identified and you'll find these posters throughout the school."
"They sound like a huge handful." Ash said causing Nemona to nod, "Indeed, I want to find these TS members and figure out why they would do all this, but my student council work is currently blocking that opportunity so maybe during the Treasure Hunt." Nemona said optimistically as both went into the shop to get their things. As soon as they went in, they were greeted by a bandana wearing Charcadet which had the symbol of the shop (being a sandwich with a knife and fork forming an X behin the sandwich) holding up a sampler of mini sandwiches which causes Ash and Nemona to grab one and split it for their two shoulder Pokemon (Pikachu and Pawmi) and tried it, the sandwiches were delicious.
"I've seen you before the other day, are you the mascot?" Ash asked the little fire guy with an old man laughing nearby, "Haha, no but he is my little helper here. I found him injured and hungry and soon enough, he followed me back here to act as a sort of mascot for folks coming in here haha." the old man (who had his back hunched with a cane and small beard) said happily. "Oh, hi Harold!" Nemona said to the old man as if she knew him, "Ah good morning, Nemo dear, are you on a date by any chance?" Harold said jokingly causing Nemona to put her hands up and blush.
"No no no no. It's nothing like that, we're just friends!" Nemona said embarassed while Ash is oblivious to all this and scans Charcadet with his Pokedex.
"Charcadet, The Fire Child Pokemon, Fire. This Pokemon is said to have been born from a spirit entering a piece of Charcoal and possessing a fighting spirit. Its flames are said to be hot as the sun."
"Just kidding." Harold said. "Know this guy Nemona?" Ash asks the girl who was still recovering after the joke, "Yes, he's a family friend of mine so I often go to his shop for high quality sandwiches that are very popular here in Paldea." Nemona told Ash who became interested. "Well, if you're a friend of Nemona's and never tried our sandwiches, I'll give you one to try for free. Is this for school?" Harold asks to which Nemona shook her head. "No, I'm going to Valley Cliff." Nemona told the family friend to which Harold nodded and prepared the sandwiches with his employees.
"Charcadet, could I use your flames real quick?" Harold asks the small Pokemon who nodded and got to the kitchen to use its head flames to heat up the sandwich that got Ash and Pikachu all hungry and Nemona and Pawmi chuckling. Harold and the crew wrapped up the sandwiches for both of them and nodded. "Well Ash, I hope you enjoy our sandwich, and it will surlily give you a 'champion's' time and yes I know about it, I won't say anything, and neither will my employees." Harold told them happily as Nemona thanked them.
"And Nemona, I hope you enjoy seeing Valley Cliff with Ash. if only Gina were here to look at the view." Harold said sadly causing a sad smile out of Nemona which Ash noticed but decided not to say anything. "I'm sure she would enjoy if she were with me, but I'll be fine." Nemona said cheering up with Nemona ushering Ash along for the journey. They reached the eastern gates to Eastern South Province with her opening the rather large doors to the orangish rocky area. Upon going through, Ash and Pikachu see a wonderous sight of a rocky like area full of various Pokemon from Nacli, Gulpin, Rockruff, among many more which makes Ash and Pikachu astounded.
"It's so huge!" Ash said rather impressed which Nemona chuckled at, "Impressive isn't it? I use this spot for training during the weekends with my Pokemon and it's a great place for exercise!" Nemona said energetically as they walked along the path. From the distance, we see TR from a rock with Jessie looking at them through their binoculars rather irritated while also holding up their wanted posters.
"I can't believe those twerps! They got us on a watchlist for the next two weeks and if we're going to go near Naranja, that principal will see through our disguises and plus, this drawing of me looks nothing like me, I have a sickle style of hair not a straight sword!" Jessie said irritated while holding an umbrella for her precious Lechonk who was napping. "And look at this! My hair isn't in a ponytail, it's untied!" James said disappointingly while looking at his bottle caps with Grafaiai. "And my gold piece isn't gray!" Meowth said also disappointingly.
"Either way, we'll have to stay away from Mesagoza for a while and focus on getting the twerps via the outside which disappoints me to say the least, so I'd say let's get those twerps now!" Jessie said sounding more she's out for vengeance but James and Meowth lie down rather tiredly. "Can't we do this another day, Paldea is hot as it is, and this area is no different." Meowth said which got Jessie a bit angry but before she could say anything, he starts to feel the heat's effects and lays down as well. As they were lying a group of rock crab Pokemon walk to them getting their attention and standing up to battle.
"James, give me the details!" Jessie told James causing James to grab his book to turn to the page featuring these Pokemon, "Ah, here they are! These here are Klawf, the Ambush Pokemon and are Rock type. These Pokemon look ridiculous but have been known to destroy boulders in a single snap." James said causing them to get worried but shook it off but James notices something strange about one of the Klawf with one of them appearing much larger than the other Klawf and had orange energy surrounding it.
"Well, here's a peculiar sight, Klawf are only supposed to be 4'03 but one of them appears to be much larger and admitting some strange energy around it. You know what this means?" James said starting to sound confident, but Meowth and Jessie appear to run away, "Not run away, we catch it for the boss!" James said throwing a Luxury Ball to catch it only for the boss Klawf to deflect the Pokeball towards James and Grafaiai sending the two hurling towards the other members of TR and fly away in the sky. "I was so close!" James said as Grafaiai comforted his trainer.
"Barely/Wobuffet/Lechonk" Meowth, Jessie, Lechonk and Wobuffet say to James rather disappointed as they disappear into the sky with a twinkle.
Nemona and Ash continue walking on with their Pokemon running along playing until Nemona looks to Ash, "I have to ask Ash, you're a World/Alola Champion with some of the most powerful Pokemon in the world and yet you don't bring them along for your school term to be the most powerful student around. Why is that?" Nemona asks the 12-year-old who thought about it for a bit and came up with his answer.
"In truth, I always like to start fresh every time for a new experience and not to rush things a bit. I want to meet new people and Pokemon who I can be friends with and those Pokemon I meet want to become strong in their own way and when I battle, I want to at least give myself a handicap to make sure those who want to battle get a fair experience without being overwhelmed. I can always bring my Pokemon over via the machines if I want but I always want to take things slow and steady when it comes to the journey. I learned if you rush through a journey using powerful Pokemon, you'll miss the finer details such as the friends, rivals and anything else that goes along in the journey so that's why I handicap myself each time I go to another region except for Galar which I've never really explored that much.: Ash said rather casually as his Pikachu nods in agreement with his trainer.
"You know, I never really thought about that until now." Nemona said a bit surprised, "What about you Nemona, what do you want to do?" Ash asked back which causes Nemona to think for a moment as well. "Well, the thing is-" but before she could finish, Pikachu was in a fighting stance and Ash notices a Teddiursa walking towards them with the Teddiursa having some sort of bandage of sorts on its paw. Nemona then puts her hands up and Teddiursa began to charge at her. "Pikachu use Quick Attac-" but Ash stopped upon seeing Teddiursa jumping on Nemona having its paws on Nemona's shoulders licking her causing Nemona to laugh confusing Ash and Pikachu.
"Ok stop haha stop." Nemona said with Teddiursa getting off and allowing Nemona to get up finishing her laugh, "Sorry about that Ash, I helped this Teddiursa when its paw was injured so I healed it with a potion and bandaged it." Nemona said with a couple of other wild Pokemon coming to Nemona and Pawmi's side including a Dunsparce, Gulpin, Pyroar, Charcadet, Sandile, Jiggilypuff and a Skiddo. "Oh." Ash only said.
"Let's have lunch here while we hang out with the mons, Ash agreed and started to prepare for lunch. They set out a (magical, portable) table with all the necessary stuff and got out their plates for them and their Pokemon, Nemona also got enough berries for everyone including the Pokemon Nemona befriended and both Ash and Nemona began to converse.
"Oh, so you helped these Pokemon out and they became your friends?" Ash said to Nemona who nodded, "Yep, in fact that's how I met Fuecoco (Looks to Fuecoco who was playing with Pawmi and Ash's Pokemon) I found him injured and hungry, so I healed him and gave him some food and the next thing you know, he shows up at a student council meeting unexpectedly and became your new friend the next. He may like to sleep and eat a lot but he's still precious." Nemona said happily.
"So, I take it that Pawmi is your starter then?" Ash asks to which Nemona nodded, "Yep, Pawmi's also my pride and joy. I actually got him for my 10th birthday similar to how you got Pikachu when you were 10 right?" Nemona asks to which Ash nods. "It was a gift from my late mother, if only she could see me and Pawmi now." Nemona said sadly, "I'm sorry." Ash said but Nemona shook her head, "Nah, I'm fine, she passed two years ago. You know how Harold mentioned this Gina lady, she was my mother and always loved exploring which is what inspired me to become a trainer in the first place and I also have her spunk. If I were to tell you where I lived, you would definitely be shocked" Nemona said cheering up.
Some time goes by, and they finish their lunch with the Pokemon and the two trainers returned their Pokemon (Aside from Pikachu and Pawmi) and they waved to the Pokemon goodbye. But unbeknownst to the duo, the Teddiursa from before begins to follow along secretly. They began to walk for the next 20 minutes until they reached a peak of sorts where they have a view over Mesagoza, Los Platos and Capo Poco with a maginificent view over that area which impresses Ash and Pikachu. "This Ash and Pikachu, is Horizon Cliff or as we Paldeans call it 'Acantilado del horizonte, the cliff that views all." Nemona tells the astounded Ash and Pikachu.
"This is beautiful!" "Pika!" both of them say as Nemona chuckled, Nemona then remembered something what Ash said earlier about goals. "Say Ash, you asked what I wanted to do, right? Well, here's the thing, before my mom passed, I promised her that I would become champion and so to do that, I need to challenge the eight gyms in Paldea so I can have a chance to battle La Primera herself and become a champion ranked trainer to make her happy."
"Nemona." Ash said normally, "So when I met you on your first day here, I wanted to get the champion rank right away and so I battled you knowing full well of who you are so I could get my champion rank right away and as you know, I lost. I then realized that I'm too reckless and stubborn when it comes to battling and so I wanted to ask you in particular can you become my sensei in battling throughout the Treasure Hunt?" Nemona asks causing Ash to be shocked at the decision. "Me a teacher?!" Ash said rather surprised.
"I can wait on your answer if you want and heck, I'll be fine with rejection but please think about?" Nemona asks causing Ash to think about it for a moment and closing his eyes to think about it until he opened them again, "If I'm going to be your sensei and I'm still thinking about this, then I want to see your skills in battle again like on the first day." Ash tells her causing Nemona to be shocked but happy with a new determined expression. "Alright, let's battle!" Nemona said as both of them went down the cliff to find a safe battling spot but unbeknownst to the duo, a very androgynous girl with dark green hair in a ponytail and red eyes was looking from afar alongside a little girl in gray who was eating a cookie watching them.
So, this is Ash Ketchum? And he's a teacher? Time to see what's going to happen. The girl thought as she looked on. Ash and Nemona stood on opposite sides of the ground as their sort of battlefield, "Alright, this battle will be with Pikachu and 1 of your Pokemon with no Terastalization allowed as I want to see you focus on natural skill without the use of outside sources. If you beat Pikachu then I see your training as complete but if you fail, I'll consider training as long as you make an effort." Ash said to Nemona who nodded with approval as she got her Pokeball out ready for battle.
"Alright Ash! But as long as you don't hold back, I'll make an effort!" Nemona asks in return which gets Ash's approval, "Send out your first Pokemon!" Ash said with confidence as Nemona threw out her Fuecoco who was more determined unlike before when it was sleeping. "Alright that's my Fuecoco!" Nemona said happily as Fuecoco's nose breathed out flames of determination as Pikachu had a battle pose ready.
"You may have the first move." Ash said as Nemona smiled and called out her first move, "Fuecoco use Bite!" Fuecoco's fangs began to glow as he rushed towards Pikachu ready to bite. "Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Ash yelled out as Pikachu ran at quick speeds to attack Fuecoco and both attacks collided causing a puff of smoke to appear and both Pokemon are seen damaged, "Nice one." Ash said giving Nemona a smirk, "Thanks, now use Ember!" Nemona said causing Fuecoco to launch a small fire ball towards Pikachu which Ash smirked at.
"Pikachu use Electro Web!" Ash said causing Pikachu to create an electrical web towards the Ember causing another puff of smoke to appear, "We'll block any attack with Electro Web!" Ash said but Nemonna was counting on that, "I was counting on that, Tackle!" Nemona said as Fuecoco rushed in to attack Pikachu catching both off guard, "Wha-" Ash didn't even have time to finish as Fueoco hit Pikachu dead on sending Pikachu back a bit but doesn't seem too injured. "Pikachu, are you alright?" Ash asked his partner and nodded.
"Alright Fuecoco, let's go higher and use Incinerate!" Nemona said causing Fuecoco to create a larger fire ball and Pikachu was prepared, "Pikachu use Electro Web once more!" Ash said as Pikachu created a larger web to launch towards the fireball causing another smoke puff to appear. "Fuecoco use Tackle!" Nemona said once more causing Fuecoco to run towards Pikachu again, but Ash was expecting it. "Pikachu use Iron Tail!" Ash said as Pikachu's tail metalized and hit the rushing Fuecoco over the head causing it to be dizzy shocking Nemona.
"Oh no Fuecoco!" Nemona said worryingly, "Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Ash said as Pikachu rushed towards Fuecoco to send it flying over to Nemona still in a daze as it tries to get up. "Alright now use Electro Web!" Ash commanded once more as Ash released an electrical web towards Fuecoco, "Dodge it!" Nemona said desperately but it was too late as the web landed creating a smoke puff and then see Fuecoco KO'd with swirls in his eyes causing Nemona to look on devastated. Fuecoco gets up a bit sad but Nemona notices this and give him a reassuring smile, "You did your best Fuecoco get some rest." Nemona said returning Fuecoco to Nemona's Pokeball.
Ash and Pikachu go to her casually, "Nemona, I think you did your best but if I'm going to become your teacher, I need to give you some pointers. You can't get too confident in a battle, you need to have optimism for sure, but you also need to be ready and focused when the battle arrives and then your strategy was good, but you can't repeat the same plan twice or they'lll know but if you decide to do that, at least come up with a new strategy if they figure it out." Ash said offering valuable advice which causes Nemonas tears to be non-existent and full of hope.
"So, you're saying..." Nemona says but Ash held his hand up, "I'll consider being your teacher when the time comes but that's a maybe." Ash said causing Nemona and Pawmi to be all happy. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Nemona said happily alongside Pawmi. The green haired girl from earlier smiles softly while carrying the sleeping girl and seems intrigued towards Ash.
"So, Ash is becoming a teacher. Now I have to wonder if he'll take the gym challenge too or if our La Primera has some other plans for him." the girl said as she walked towards a Sqawkabilly taxi as the evening sun pours down. "Well, we should probably get back to school." Ash says but he and Pikachu start to feel the effects of the heat along with Nemona and Pawmi. "Maybe we should use Cyclizar to get us there." Nemona suggests as Ash nodded and sent out Cyclizar who was up and at em. Ash got the gear on Cyclizar and both trainers and their Pokemon wearing helmets got on the Cyclizar.
"Ready Cyclizar?" Ash asks his Pokemon who is prepared and ready to go and begins to run towards the gate taking 10 minutes to get to the gate compared to the 30 minutes (or rather around 50 to an hour with lunch) as the gang move forth another day. The Teddiursa from before tries to reach to them but disappeared like a flash causing that Teddiursa to be filled with determination and starts to follow them.
Later that night, we see Ash and his Pokemon at the dorm on the bed just thinking to himself about what transpired earlier. "Me, becoming a teacher? I've taught several trainers before but not as their official teacher but I'm going to be helping a friend achieve their goals by teaching them?" Ash said to himself and then looked to Pikachu and asked him, "Say Pikachu? Do you think I'll become a good teacher?" he asked his day 1 partner who licked his cheek and gave a reassuring smile towards his trainer. The rest of his Pokemon also nodded with excitement.
"I guess we'll see how it goes although I have to wonder, do I want to become a gym trainer myself like what I did in Kanto to Kalos, or should I start something new? I guess I have time to think about it." Ash said to himself once more before he falls asleep.
The next day, a ceremony is held in the auditorium to celebrate Ash's arrival as not only the new champion representative of Naranja but also the fact that a major individual is joining the academy with Clavell front and center while Ash and Pikachu are getting their ties prepared by Jacq when it's time to present themselves. We see Nemona and her Pawmi looking on excitedly, Arven looks on with intrigue and Penny looks on shyly but otherwise filled with intrigue.
"It is my honor to welcome our newest student who will be not only our newest representative of the academy but also as the World Champion himself and his ace coming to join us for a new semester, but I also want you to remember that he is a student like you and so I want you to treat him with respect and not treat him any differently that could cause some unwanted attention. But I would like to welcome you, Master Ash Ketchum and Master Pikachu." Clavell says as the audience is clapping with excitement and the three aforementioned students (aside from Nemona) looking on with intrigue as Ash with Pikachu on his shoulder walking to the podium witha calm smile.
Ash grabbed the mic kind of nervous but determined, "Hello and my name is Ash Ketchum and I hope to be a great student to you all and I hope my advenure here is exciting!"

Omake:
Ash and Nemona were walking along home in Mesagoza when Ash looked to Nemona's right hand to see a gauntlet of sorts, "Say Nemona, what's with the gauntlet on your right arm?" Ash asks the spunky girl. "Oh this? I wear it because it makes my throws a bit better so for example, this is how I send out my Pokemon with my guantlet." Nemona says as she throws her ball sending out Fuecoco with perfect accuracy.
"But without my gauntlet (she takes off the gauntlet), this is how I throw my Pokeball." Nemona then throws the Pokeball with horrible accuracy bouncing around from building to building until it eventually bounced off of an umbrella and sent it flying towards places unknown. We then see Clavell walking alongside Saguaro to the entrance when the ball came flying out to them. Clavell produced a tennis racket and hit the Pokeball sending it flying once again which caused Saguaro to wonder. "Clavell, why do you have a racket and how did you know about that ball?" Saguaro asks.
"It happens every Sunday when Nemona takes off her gauntlet and it's Sunday night Tennis with the club, want to come with?" Clavell asks Saguaro, we then see the Pokeball get back to Nemona's hand after being in the air for so long.
"And that Ash is why I never take off my gauntlet when it comes to Pokeballs" Nemona asks casually surprising both Ash and Pikachu.
That was a long chapter, but I hope it was worth the wait, from this point onward, chapters are going to get more unpredictable due to school but I at least want to make it every week for 1 or 2 chapters.
Also, Ash has become Nemona's mentor, and we find out about her past which is different from the games I know but this plan began around September when we only knew about the characters, and I decided to use some of the ideas I had and use them for the story such as Nemona's backstory and her goal but Ash as of right now is unknown as he won't be taking on the gym challenge but will mentor instead. This chapter also officially begins Ash's school life, and the next three chapters will focus on him adjusting to the school and meeting a student who's weary of the champion though tht chapter might a bit shorter as it's a non-plot related chapter and I have a hard time coming up with filler but the next two after that will be Penny's and Arven's introductory episodes.
