Hello, one and all to a new chapter of Pokemon SVTA where in this chapter, we will have Penny's introduction chapter focusing on her and Ash being paired up for a biology assignment where they find a Sprigatito egg, and we learn more about Penny's past and her determination to save Sprigatito from TR when she feels a connection between her and the Sprigatito trying to get over her sad past and move on to the present.
From the last chapter, I decided to give Geeta a personality that was more entertaining than her game counterpart who was bland (and despicable) by making her a bit clumsy but if you want me to add more interesting things about her, you'll have to let me know so I can make her more interesting. After this chapter will be Arven's chapter then Penny's 2nd part which will then be followed by the visit to the champion headquarters which is when we can prepare preparation for Arven's 2nd chapter and the eventual adventure to Capo Poco.

After the wild events of Ash's first day at Naranja, Ash hopes his 2nd day at Naranja will be mildly better than the first but, things happen and as we'll see things do happen. We see Ash, Nemona and their Pokemon running around the track in order to build up their endurance, Pikachu, Cyclizar and Pawmi were running really fast without a sweat while Quaxly was catching up and Fuecoco was far behind.
"With this running, you'll be able to build up endurance and speed so when you battle, you'll be decently fast and evasive when it comes to avoiding attacks!" Ash said huffing as Nemona followed along and nodded while running. We see Jacq and Clavell looking on with intrigue from Clavell's office, "They must be pumped?" Clavell said, "Well I did hear that Nemona needed help training if she's taking on the gym challenge soon, so she asked Ash to provide assistance before the Treasure Hunt starts." Jacq told Clavell who looked on with interest and nostalgia.
"Ah reminds me back when I was a lee lad in Galar, I was a very spunky trainer with attitude and even attempted the championship, I failed but it was fun." Clavell said with nostalgia. "I thought you grew up with Oak?" Jacq asks the headmaster, "Oh I did, my father brought our family over when I was 4 until I was 14 but we were good friends and even learned our goals of becoming professors/researchers, those were the days." Clavell said warmly and then he notices Penny hiding within the bushes looking towards Ash and Nemona with intrigue and Clavell gets a final idea on what she's doing.
"Is she hiding in the Fireberry bush, those things will burn like poison ivy!" Jacq said worryingly as Clavell wakes up to reality, "Does no one read the signs on the wall!" Clavell said grabbing some ointment as well as a hammer and nails as they rush out the door comedically. We see Penny looking on rather stoically but not in a way that seems aggressive, Penny is an individual we saw a couple of days ago when Ash helped her against some Team Star grunts and nervously ran off before realizing who Ash was and got equally nervous. She was a shy individual who didn't like to talk too much in public and for unknown reasons, she hasn't been showing up to school despite good grades. So, I have to wonder, why is she taking an interest in Ash.
So, Ash has become a mentor for student council president. Still, he could help me with my 'assignment', but I need to- but before Penny could finish her thought, she starts to feel the pain of the fireberry bush and yips getting the attention of Ash and Nemona before Penny comedically face plants on the ground. Ash goes to her out of concern and kneels down in order to reach out to her. Penny gets a hold of her surroundings and looks up to see Ash but in her eyes, she sees him as a dashing prince of sorts while Pikachu was the dashing Rapidash and Nemona was a knight.
"Hey, are you alright?" Prince Ash said in a princely voice before Penny blushed and blinked twice to get her vision back before accepting Ash's hand to get up. "Um thank you!" Penny said shyly which made Ash remember her, "Say, you're that girl from yesterday and the other day before right?" Ash said which gets a nod out of Penny. "Uh huh, once again thank you." Penny said before she picked up her Eevee backpack, the Eevee backpack had Eevee on it but also contained several pins of all Eeveelutions, a heart, gaming controller, a character named Bakunose from the in-universe anime 'Kimi no Hero Academia' and even a hidden Pan flag hiding behind a Sylveon pin.
(Ok author here, I had a headcanon prior to her reveal that aside from the fact she resembled a Todoroki from MHA, I had another headcanon that she was Bi, Pan or Enby and I decided to include a small background detail referencing that so please remember not to be an a-hole about it ok? Back to action!)
Ash looks on in awe, "That's one cool backpack you have there." Ash said rather interested which Penny lightly blushes, "Um thanks, you can find these backpacks at Pokeqlo where they might be interesting to you and there's even Pikachu ones." Penny said starting to open up a bit. Nemona cuts the conversation short, "So Penny what were you doing watching us?" which causes Penny to rise up a bit against Nemona. "Everyone can watch you know, heck, the professors were watching from their office just now before comedically running away for some reason." Penny responds to the battle-loving trainer who puts her finger up and then eventually puts it down.
"Fair point, I apologize. But still, we need to talk about your absences, how about we-" Nemona didn't even finish before she created a puff of dust by running off, "Sorry for the abrupt goodbye Ash but I'll see you in class!" Penny said but she seemed to have dropped a photo which Ash picks up. "Is she a troublemaker Nemona?" Ash asks the spunky trainer who sighs, "She's not a troublemaker but I'm sure Clavell told you that Penny has her own reasons for skipping that involve her personally which I'm not against but still. As a student council president, it's my job to find out what goes on in the building and keep everyone safe and help them and I just don't want to see Penny get in trouble." Nemona said out of concern.
Ash looks to the photo which sees a much happier Penny hugging her Eevee at a birthday party and assumes Penny is unhappy for whatever reason, Ash stores the picture in his backpack for safe keepings and keeps a note to his head to give it back to her before he returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs and Pikachu hops on Ash's shoulder. The bell rang signaling the start of class which also signaled Nemona to return her Pokemon.
"Well, I'll see you in Homeroom, I got some things to take care of in the student council room."
"Alright see ya Nemona." Ash then grabs his backpack to head to class unbeknownst to the two of them, that the Teddiursa from the other day was watching from a non-fireberry bush and decided to follow before immediately going back in when she saw Clavell and Jacq rushing by with Clavell prepared to hammer in a new sign telling them to stay away from the fireberry bush while Jacq immediately heads to his homeroom.
Ash's day went fine as he got along with his new classmates throughout his new classes including Sarah who now has a more apologetic outlook and is now getting along with Ash just fine. We see the young lad learning about history with Raifort who is teaching the class about the history of Mesagoza until she decided to do something else.
"Well, I was going to talk about our delicious bakery but I'm feeling a bit mischievous today and want to have a sneak peek towards our Artifacts lesson coming up in the near future, is anyone interested?" Raifort asks mischievously which gets people interested including Ash.
"Well, if I have to, but only a peek. The 4 Artifacts or the 4 Treasures were items found in an eastern region where the treasures were rare and mystical and the king of Paldea wanted them very much and through his darkness, he greedily collected them all unknowingly that all 4 were cursed by the rapid emotions of the previous owner's sins. These sins manifested themselves as Pokemon and destroyed the kingdom almost destroying the region itself before a legendary hero, a top champion you might call them, and his 4 champions helped save Paldea by sealing them away. The king's incompetence caused people to revolt, and the hierarchy was dissembled and in its place is the champion ranking system and one of the first of its kind though in other regions, they adapted this formula and changed it to be one champion. As for the artifacts- well unfortunately you're going to have to wait on them." Raifort said with a mischievous smile which got everyone disappointed by Raifort smiled.
"But it did make you interested in wanting to find out more about these artifacts, right? It makes me want to find out where they are and see them in person." Raifort said cheerfully but was layered with a hidden darkness which got everyone both excited and weirded out. "In any case, open your books to bakery section."
Ash's next class was language class with a very excitable teacher named Salvatore and his Raichu who's ready to teach us languages!
"Konnichiwa, Hola, Sveiki, Pryvit, Kamusta, Hello one and all to another Language class and I see we have ourselves a new classmate and his beloved Pikachu from Pallet Town-" Salvatore and his Raichu go to Ash with a cheerful appearance with Raichu fist bumping Ash's Pikachu, "You must be Ash our newest Compagno in this here class. My name is Salvatore, and I will be your teacher in all forms of languages but do tell me Ash, are you familiar with dialect vs language?"
Ash thought for a moment and then spoke the answer, "I would assume that with language it's a different style of symbols through writing or speaking while dialect is the style of our voices in a way like 'Yee ha!', 'Hey I'm Walken here.'"
"You're right on the point me boy and we-" Salvatore went on talking about the love of languages and the dialects for today's lessons that Ash can be interested in and might be his favorite class so far, but he'll have to wait and see.
It was now Ash's final class of the day being Biology with Ash learning more about the Pokemon themselves, Penny was also in that class who has ointment on her skin after hiding in a fireberry bush but much to her surprise, she was also next to Ash which made her blush.
Damn it Sensei, you just had to put me next to Ash. Guess like I have to put up a straight face for a while. Penny thought to herself as Jacq went on with class, Jacq then grabbed some pieces of paper and asked everyone to pass them out to each other for the assignment. "For today, we will be observing Pokemon and their behaviors out near the fields of Area 2 of South Province." Jacq said causing Penny to stiffen a bit which Ash notice, "Say Penny, you alright?" Ash asked his partner who nods, "Yeah Cortondo is my home."
"Doesn't seem that strange to go back home." Ash said, "Well not really it's just my siblings and dad can a bit annoying if you were to ever visit them." Penny said awkwardly, "But I love all of them just the same." Penny said warmly. Jacq then clears his throat to continue, "In addition, you will be observing 5 groups of Pokemon and see what they do and write them down with your table partner. Thankfully it shouldn't be too much of a walk although I am reaching that age haha."
"But you're only 25?" A random teen student said shocking Jacq, "Spoilers! Jokes aside, grab your bags, grab a clipboard and we'll meet up front in 5 minutes." Jacq said comedically as the students get up from their chairs and grabbed their bags. Ash looks to Penny with determination in his eyes, "Well, let's do our best Penny!" Ash said which causes Penny to nod, "Right!"
The gang reach the west gates of Mesagoza and head out to the vast open fields of South Province, the fields were green, hilly and vast while in the distance was the town of Cortondo which was vast and expansive with red fields throughout and Pokemon walking and running about. Ash looked on in awe while Pikachu rolled in the nice grass while penny looks on with a soft smile. "This Ash, is Cortondo and South Province Area 2, the most expansive region in Paldea." Penny tells him. Jaz then points to the patch of grass that has a sort of border between the green patch of grass and the red patch.
"That over there will be your area limit, from the gate to the red patch of grass but if observe a group that is on the red patch and you're on the green then I'll allow it. You have to write what they're doing, how many Pokemon are there, if any of them are connected by evolution or not and if you noticed something unique about them. We'll meet back in 25 minutes, and I want you to work well with your partner and their Pokemon but don't battle any of the wild Pokemon unless it's an emergency and if you have none, hurry back! Now go out there and have fun and I'll be around if you need anything." Jacq said encouragingly as the 8 pairs of students began to go in their own directions.
We see one pair observing a group of Combee bringing their Vespaquen some berries and materials in order to make a hive, another pair notice a Mabosstiff breaking up a fight peacefully between a Spidops and a Scyther by offering berries which seems to work and then we see Ash, Penny, Pikachu and Penny's Flareon waiting behind a large to see if the group of Dunsparce are about to do anything causing them to be bored.
"Well, this is boring/Pika/Flare." all of them say rather tired, "Well I guess to be fair this is our 4th group we're searching for, and these are Dunsparce, they never do anything." Penny says causing Ash to yawn but suddenly wake up with a new sense of determination in his eyes, he stands up with a new idea. "I have an idea, I'd say we find some berries and see if they-" as Ash was talking, a larger Dunsparce with 3 extra segments came out of the ground similar to how a Wailord would jump out of the ocean which causes Penny, Flareon and Pikachu to be surprised while Ash looks on in confusion.
"A Du-Du-Dudunsparce!?" Penny says out of shock which causes Ash to turn around to see a glorious sight of a Pokemon covered by the shadows in the sky which astounds Ash, "A Dudunsparce?" Ash asks, "It's an evolution to Dunsparce here in Paldea and it looks glorious." Penny said which intrigues Ash not hearing her giggling.
"I bet this evolution looks very glorious with a Dragon type and-" Ash turns around to see the Dudunsparce was just a Dunsparce with some extra segments to its body as Ash got out the Pokedex:
Dudunsparce, the Land Snake Pokemon, Normal type. Legends tell of a Dudunsparce that is said to have evolved from a Dunsparce making a wish from a shooting star wishing to have evolved and other than some extra segments, it looks like larger Dunsparce but powerful.
A sort of disappointed shade appears on Ash's face which Penny takes not of, "Ash, are you ok?" Penny asks but Ash's disappointed face was actually a lie and he is actually in awe. "It's glorious!" Ash says.
Ash and Penny were searching for their 5th group of Pokemon to search for and in the meantime, the begin to talk with Penny going first. "So, I hear you want to face La Primera herself, It's going to be a tough one." Penny says but Ash didn't seem to phased, "I've been through all sorts of regions and battled tough trainers before, so how tough can La Primera be?"
"It's not that you'll lose but our champion is very preceptive when it comes to other trainer's strategies so even if you have a strategy planned, she'll counter it in no time." Penny said, "Then we'll think of a way to counter her counter, right Pikachu?" "Pika!" responded a determined Pikachu which caused Penny to giggle towards Ash, "You're certainly something." She said quietly.
"Say Penny, are you a troublemaker?" Ash asks the bi-colored hair girl who looked puzzled and realized what Ash meant, "If it's about the student council president asking about my absences then no, I'm not. I have my reasons" Penny said adamantly. "Like what?" Ash asks, "Well-." but before Penny could finish, they both see a group of Eevee and happen to notice that one of the Eevee was Shiny. While Ash and Pikachu were ecstatic to see one, Penny looks a bit frightened as if she's something and holds her hand up to her head while Flareon goes to comfort her.
We see images of sort of her being happy in one memory while in the other, we see that she's alone holding a pendant crying among other tone shifting memories. Ash and Pikachu immediately take notice and rush to her, "Penny!?" Ash said but Penny holds her hand towards Ash stopping him, "No I'm fine Ash, let's go find another group." Penny said sadly which causes both to worry.
"But Eevee won't hurt anyone." Ash said unknown of what was causing Penny's pain, Penny knows that Ash means well but she felt like she was ready to go home, not to her dorm but her house. "It's not that Eevee is hurting anyone, it's just that, come on." Penny said making Ash realize there was something going on with Penny and decide to goo search for another Pokemon but as they were doing so, Penny stumbles over something that appeared to be egg shaped but before she could fall, Ash caught her hand to save her from falling but when the egg appeared to fall, Penny had the right action in mind.
"Pikachu, Flareon, get the egg!" Penny asked to which Pokemon nodded and got the egg while Ash helped her up, Penny was huffing but she was grateful, "Thank you Ash." "Not a problem." Ash replied. The two Pokemon bring the egg to the trainers who look on in awe over the sight, the egg was a mixture of dark green on the top and light green from everywhere else and had a visible shadow in the egg.
"So, this is a Pokemon egg." Penny said astonished and quickly realized the circumstances and realized there was no parent around, "Ash we have to take this Jacq, he might have an idea on how we should take care of the egg." Penny says which gets Ash's approval and both head to Jacq for help. The shiny Eevee notices the group and begins to follow them while TR are seen from a nearby tree spying the group who take an interest with the egg and Eevee.
"You see that! We have ourselves a shiny, Pikachu and an egg for the price of one, we can send them to the boss as an apology for the souffle and we'll be bigger than a Vespaquen hive!" Meowth said getting the two other TR members excited as well and prepare to climb down a tree until a group of Maschiff were surrounding the tree barking at TR. "Why are we being barked at!?" Jessie said as James opened his book to Maschiff.
"Ah here we are, these are Maschiff, the Rascal Pokemon and are Dark types. Maschiff likes to mark it's territory and will bark at unwanted intruders despite that however, their scary appearance actually makes children laugh instead of cry. Plus, you brought some vegetarian jerky with you and you didn't even share!" James said as Jessie tries to protect her jerky.
"Guess like we'll be here a while." Meowth said as Wobuffet came out of his ball to say his name disappointingly.
We see Jacq on his chair writing down the behaviors of Pokemon as well as attendance when Ash and Penny arrive with the egg in question and Jacq now has a surprised look on his face. "An Egg!?" Jacq said surprisingly but then puts up his teacher demeanor, "Mr. Jacq, we were wondering how you would take care of an egg. We found it alone with no parent or nest." Ash asks the teacher who clears his throat before he takes a look at the egg.
"Well, let's see, judging by the shadow of the egg, it's about to hatch." Jacq said, surprising the trainers and their Pokemon before Jacq clarified, "Don't worry, it's not in danger. But we'll need to put it on a safe place for the next couple of minutes until it hatches but I'll also consider your assignment complete but for now, I want you two to stay beside the egg until it hatches. I'll go check on the other students until then, but I'll be right back. Just set the egg down on a soft spot on the grass while I go check on them." Jacq said as he went off to do just Ash and Penny sit down on the ground with Penny taking off her jacket to act as a nest of sorts while Flareon cuddled the egg using its fire type body to keep it warm, Penny wore an orange T-shirt underneath her sweater that had a visible pendant in her shirt.
"Wow, Penny, you immediately knew what to do in that scenario." Ash said warmly, which caused Penny to blush but had a soft smile. "Thanks, it was kind of in my instincts to do that. My father is both an at-home translator and a nurse for both people and Pokemon, and so I learned that if I see an egg in danger, I immediately want to help it before it cracks.""That is interesting!" Ash said, causing her to blush once more, the shiny Eevee from before arrived to them, causing Penny to freeze up in a dramatic way causing Ash, Pikachu and Flareon to worry. "Penny-" but Penny stops Ash shaking her head, "I'm fine." which causes Ash to start worrying about her even more before he remembered the photo from earlier."Oh yeah! You dropped this earlier." Ash said as Pikachu got the photo from his bag and gave it to Penny who looked to be shocked, "My- my photo! Thank you." Penny said softly as she hugs it in her arms.
Ash at that point looked concerned for the girl and decided to ask her the truth, "Look Penny, are you alright? I might've looked at the photo when I picked it up and you seem happy with the Eevee and yet you seem petrified around other Eevee. I won't make fun of you if you have a fear of Eevee, I just need to know if you're alright?" Ash asks out of concern which causes Penny to sigh but softly smiles.
"You really do have a tendency to help people." Penny said huffing before eventually puffing to continue,
"Alright, you do seem trustworthy, so I won't object. The truth is I was pretty happy back then and on my 7th birthday, I received the happiest thing in the world, VeeVee the Eevee. I loved her to bits and was around my side everyday from when I was happy, when I was sad, and calmed me down on the saddest of days and through all that, Vee was happy. By the time I became a trainer 3 years ago, I made it my goal of catching every Eeveelution out there to give VeeVee and me more friends and we were practically inseparable after that." Penny said, reminiscing before a tear dripped down her face.
"And then one day in class, I was told to come to the principal's office where I received a call from my parents to find out that VeeVee was ill and not like a flu but very ill and immediately went over to find out that VeeVee didn't have too much long with this illness which I later find out to be some form of cancer. I asked if there was a cure and that although a cure could be found, it would only delay the inevitable and so I spent my last moments with VeeVee for the next two weeks making sure I never left her side and making sure that once she felt better, we could go to a place we both wanted to go that being Undella town in Unova where the ocean is Said to be the most beautiful out there even though deep down, it was a lie."
Penny stopped herself once more, but Ash tried to stop her, "Penny, we don't have to do this, we can-" "No, I want to continue! I need to let it out, I've been holding in this pain for 2 years. I've tried to move on from this pain for a long time, but I just can't!" Penny said once more before continuing.
"And then one day, I won tickets to Unova through a magazine with a promise of taking Eevee to Undella Town and just when I go to talk to VeeVee, she passed away in my arms. I- I- I lost myself that day but I didn't cry at first until that night alone in my bed, realizing that she's never coming back, I broke down and with that, I changed from a happy person to someone who will be more broken if I lose another Pokemon losing myself in the process. That's why I'm afraid to catch another Eevee in particular otherwise I might lose a part of myself once more putting me further in despair. I'm sure you must know that feel if you were to lose one?" Penny said with tears streaming down her eyes.
Ash looked down towards Pikachu who was interacting with the Eevee by running around and playing, "Yeah, to be honest, I've had too many close encounters with death that could have made me lose one of my friends. From being overcharged with electricity to the point he almost explodes, mind controlled by an evil team, poisoned by a top don's Golisopod who had dark intent in its eyes and once turned into stone and I almost lost myself in that moment, but we manage to make it through the toughest of times. But if I were to actually lose one of my Pokemon including Pikachu, I'm not sure what I would do with myself."
Penny looked on in surprise and said, "That sounds rough." Ash then looked to Penny more seriously, "You're not alone you know, you have your Eeveelutions with you they know of what you're going through, they're your friends, friends who have well not shoulders but people you can lean to for comfort." Ash said encouragingly. "I know that, but I'm also afraid of losing what's left of my soul." Penny said touching Flareon's fur.
Penny then looked to the egg and was about to touch it but held her hand in place, "And this egg, I saved it because I didn't want to die. I shouldn't be concerned for an egg and yet I'm helping it because it was alone like- like me." Penny said now touching the egg, the egg began to glow signaling it was hatching which caused all involved to panic and then the glow disappeared revealing Penny's hand on the Pokemon. The Pokemon was green in color with purple eyes (which were closed) and a small feline body, once the eyes were open, it was met with the sight of Ash, Penny, Flareon, Eevee and Pikachu who looked interested while Penny looked unsure before it began to cry like a baby would when it would be born.
"It's crying." Ash said intrigued as he held up the Pokedex:
Sprigatito, The Grass Cat Pokemon, Grass type. Sprigatito is the grass starter of Paldea and are known for their luxurious scents. It is said that it's scents can stop a battle in its tracks.
"So that's all of the starters in Paldea." Ash said astonished as Sprigatito stopped crying and leaned on to Penny who looked surprised, "Sprigatito what are you doing?" Penny asks shocked. "It's most likely thinking of you as her mother in a way." Jacq said coming up from the hill which causes Penny to be shocked even more, "Wha- a mother!?" Penny said shocked once more. "Oh yeah, I can see it. You were concerned for the egg, and you wanted to take care of it. You do really care for the egg." Ash said enthusiastically causing Penny to blush more furiously than before, "That's what anyone would've done. Heck, I imagine you did as well!" Penny said blushing even harder which causes Ash to nod.
Penny calmed down and sighed, "I'm just not sure Ash, even after all I went through, I just don't want to lose another Pokemon but at the same time-" Penny looked to Sprigatito who was playing with Pikachu, Flareon and the Eevee. "And as for Eevee, I want to move on but again, I'm just not too sure." Penny said unsure of her decision.
A little time later, the evening sun started to appear with Jacq, Pikachu and Ash helping to make Sprigatito digestible food for Sprigatito while Penny patted both Sprigatito and Eevee who both jumped on her, "Come on Sprigatito, finish your food and Eevee, I'll give you a berry." Penny said as both got off of her and Penny gave Eevee an Oran berry and Penny smiled towards both of them.
Both Eevee and Sprigatito seem to be having fun and yet, they both remind me of Veevee in personality and I just can't shake that off. Penny thought melancholic like and reached for two Pokeballs seemingly ready for her to catch both of them, but her hands were shaking almost as if she's not ready to catch them. "I-I-I-I-I can-" but before Penny could finish, a mechanical hand appeared to be rushing towards them. Penny notices this and takes action by preparing to block the two Pokemon from harm but before anything could happen.
"Pikachu Iron Tail!" Penny heard Ash say as Pikachu hit the mechanical hand with the metalized tail deflecting it saving Penny, she sees Ash, Pikachu and Jacq running back to Penny worried. "Are you alright!?" Jacq asks the girl who nods. The mechanical hand from before starts to twitch and eventually comes back to life to grab Sprigatito and Eevee who try to get out of the hand getting everyone's attention.
"Eevee/Sprigatito!" The trainers yell out, "Alright I know who you are so come out!" Ash yelled out causing TR to come out of the tree with their signature smirks and prepared to start their intros.
"Aww the brat ruined the surprise what should we do?" Jessie started, "I'd say we fight till the end to get Pikachu don't you agree." James continued the intro.
"To protect the world from devastation." Jessie said,
"To unite all people within our nation!" James said.
"To protect the- hol up" Jessie says looking at Jacq with hearts in her eyes, "Who might you be you hunk." Jessie said causing Jacq to blush and making the other TR members (including Wobuffet who came out of his Pokeball to face palm).
"Say join our side and we can go on many dates as you want." Jessie said to Jacq but he puts his hand up, "Sorry I don't date villains." Jacq said simply causing Jessie's heart to be broken and her face changes from sad to anger. "You twerps are going to pay!"
"That's not the point, you almost hurt my students and are trying to kidnap Pokemon so let them go!" Jacq said angerly but James scoffs this off, "We need these Pokemon for the boss so we'll be going now."
"Meow Tito Tito/Vee!" both Pokemon say desperately causing Penny to hold her hand up to her head remembering all the pain she went through of losing her own Pokemon and now that it's happening again, she doesn't want anyone to be lost again and so she takes a stand with a Pokeball in hand.
"I won't allow you to take any more Pokemon you monsters." Penny said coldly but Ash tries to hold her back, "Don't that's Team Rocket and they'll hurt-" Ash didn't finish as Penny looked to Ash more seriously. "I'm not going to lose anyone again from my Pokemon, my family, Sprigatito and Eevee and you, my first human friend in a long time! Jolteon come out and use Quick Attack on that hand!" Penny said as she threw the Pokeball releasing Jolteon who immediately ran towards the hand at quick speed.
"Oh no you don't! James does something about this!" Jessie told James who looked to be shocked, "Why me!?" James said with Jessie showing her Lechonk's nice fur off, "I just went to a salon with Lechonk this morning and I don't want her hair to be ruined and you too Meowth go fight!" Jessie said, "Yes mam." they both said as Grafaiai cme out of the Pokeball and jumped off with Meowth towards Jolteon which causes Jacq to be shocked.
"A talking Meowth, now you're coming with me." Jacq said to which Ash and Penny looked at him disapprovingly, "Right Fairgiraf come on out and use Twin Beam/Quaxly come on out and use Aqua jet!" Both Ash and Jacq say releasing their Pokemon including the new Fairgiraf which was a taller Girafarig but with dark orange skin and the tail from Girafarig becoming a hoodie which impresses Ash, but he'll scan it later. Quaxly covered itself in a watery veil and launched itself at Meowth while Fairgiraf released two psychic beams towards Grafaiai and Meowth causing them to be sent flying.
Jolteon used it's Quick Attack to break the hand releasing the the Pokemon who are Jolteon's back rushing back towards Penny, both Sprigatito and Eevee jump into Penny's arms for comfort holding them close to never let them go. "Sprig, Vee." Penny says worried for them, before looking back at TR more seriously who look back as well.
"You twerps ruined our plan and my date so I will make you pay! James order your Grafaiai to use Metronome!" Jessie said as James panicked but relented, "Alright my bottle cap loving partner use Metronome!" James said encouragingly as Grafaiai wagged his fingers in a white light causing the trainers to prepare themselves until Grafaiai's body starts to glow and self-destruct sending TR (and Grafaiai) flying off. James begins comforting his partner in his Pokeball.
"It's alright, you did your best." James said causing Jessie to have an irritated vein on her head, "Your Grafaiai sent us off!"
"You're the one who suggested Metronome you sickle!"
"What was that you bottle cap boy!? We're teaching Grafaiai a new move to replace Metronome!"
"How about we just use it on emergencies." Meowth said as they prepared to disappear in the sky.
"We're blasting off again!/Wobuffet!" They all said as they disappeared in the night sky.
Ash pets the 10 ft tall Fairgiraf who hums soundly as Ash scans the Giraffe Pokemon:
Fairgiraf, the Long Neck Pokemon, Normal/Psychic type. Fairgiraf's head is said to act like a hoodie, protecting the head from hard hitting attacks. The head is said to send even a be so powerful when swung, it sends a Gyarados in the sky.
"Cool." Ash said before getting back to Penny, the group sees a group of Eevee rushing towards them out of concern for their shiny Eevee friend who Penny puts down to let the Eevee talk to their friends. "It must be so happy to see them.' Penny said warmly as she puts the Pokeball she was about to use to catch Eevee with to which Ash notices.
"You're not going to catch the Eevee?" Ash asked her who shook her head, "No, although I want to move on, I feel like I'm not ready to catch an Eevee yet. I know she would want me to move on, but I want to grow as a person before I can truly move on, so I'll wait when the time is right. For now, though-" Penny stopped herself to lean down towards the Eevee to give the Eevee a wristband with a bell on it which intrigues the Eevee.
"Eevee, when I grow stronger as a person and try to move on, I want to catch you. What do you say?" Penny asks to which the Eevee bounces around happily in agreement causing Penny to smile. "Then keep that wristband on until I'm ready alright." Penny said to the Eevee who nods and goes along with their friends to places elsewhere waving towards the group who wave goodbye. Penny gets up and grabs her jacket and puts it over her shoulder, but Ash looks to her concerned, "Are you sure about this?" Ash asks to which Penny nods.
"I'm sure of it. While I'm ready to start moving on, I just need time with Eevee before I'm really ready to move on and it's thanks to you that I'm ready to start trying." Penny said calmly. "Do you, want to be friends with me? I'm considered a shy weirdo by most people" Penny asks Ash who nods, "I don't think you're a weirdo, you're brave and courageous!" Ash said innocently which causes Penny to have a soft smile and a tear over her eye.
Thank you, knucklehead.
Jacq told everyone that they accidentally went above the time limit, but he'll make it up somehow but for now, they're free to go home but he has some business to take care of with Ash and Penny involving the Sprigatito. They feed Sprigatito some nice mushed up berries which it enjoys, and Penny prepares to leave.
"Penny..." Ash said out concern, but Jacq holds him back a bit signaling that it's her decision as well as well as her Flareon who looks to be worried for their trainer. "Well, Sprigatito, you're all well fed and I'm sure you can survive all on your own. This is goodbye." Penny said reluctantly but Sprigatito tries to go to her but Penny only stops, "Just go, you're free! You're all fine and ready to go so go on and live your life." Penny said starting to tear up. This causes Sprigatito to tear up and cry but not like a baby but actual tears.
Penny was about to walk away but then thought about Sprigatito and how energetic it was and how similar it was to her own Eevee with all the happy memories coming back to her and the fact that if she walks away now, she'll never see that Pokemon again similar to how she lost her Sprigatito, Penny finally lets her tears let loose and goes back to Sprigatito hugging her with all her life breaking down.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Sprigatito! I'll never let you go ever! Please come with me!" Penny said finally breaking down as both trainer and Pokemon cry with Penny's Flareon going to comfort both of them while Ash, Pikachu and Jacq look on with warm smiles as they let Penny continue for however long they need.
We switch to Ash in his dorm with his Pokemon all worried about his new friend.
"I wonder if she'll be ok?" Ash said to his Pokemon who look to him reassuring him that everything's ok.
We switch to Penny's room which was a tech, gamer and Eevee paradise full of anime posters, a large computer set and a bunch of Eeveelutions (sans Eevee for obvious reasons) sleeping away while Penny looks to her sleeping Flareon and her newly caught Sprigatito (kept in a Heal Ball) curled up sleeping beside Penny who looked to her heart locket which contained a picture of her Eevee and a paw print created by Eevee prior to passing away in remembrance for the future. Penny looked on happily unaware of her tears flowing down causing Sprigatito to wake up concerned for her new trainer and licked her face softly.
The other Eeveelutions woke up to go comfort a now crying Penny while hugging her closest Pokemon trying to never let them go.
"I love you; I love you all." Penny said to her Pokemon.
The next day, we see Ash's Quaxly and Nemona's Pawmi having a battle when Penny and her Sprigatito going to sit on a patch of grass watching the fight go which Nemona notices.
"Not spying on us?" Nemona asked the bi-colored hair girl who scoffs, "For the record, I'm no longer spying on Ash because I'm his friend now, ms student council president. People can have multiple friends." Penny said rivaling Nemona who glared at each other while Penny's Sprigatito stared at Pawmi both ready to fight while Ash and Pikachu tried to break up the fight with Quaxly and Cyclizar sighing and Fuecoco looking like a ditz as usual.
And so, Ash met the rather nervous Penny and learned more about her and Penny herself is taking efforts to step up and move on from the past as the journey continues.
And that was a long chapter, with that, we have introduced Ash's new friend (and future companion) Penny. We know her past in-game involving a certain group by I at least wanted to add more stuff to her as a character by explaining her love of Eevee through a sad backstory but overtime in the story, she'll try to grow as an individual and try to move on.
Her team is a mixture of Eeveelutions which she'll switch with from time to time and new Pokemon and such so here's her team thus far:

Sylveon (Female, ability: Cute Charm): Caught after Penny helped her with an injury.
Flareon (Male, Flash Fire): Caught while in Alola after having a particular berry it likes.
Jolteon (Male, Quick Feet): Caught while in Cortondo.

The next chapter will focus on Ash encountering Arven during a cooking class and during an assignment to find home grown ingredients in South Province Area 5 encounters a strange looking Sneasel who takes their ingredients and Ash not only learns more about this figure but also both help the Sneasel in a way with Arven taking interest. TR also takes interest with the Sneasel and want to take it for themselves. After that, we'll have Ash go to the champions headquarters to meet and face against Geeta and her Kingambit to realize his goal for the region, a filler episode that focuses on a friendship quest with one of the teachers and then eventually Penny and Arven's two parters and then after that, the start of the preparations for the Treasure Hunt.
Again, the schedule is unpridictable but I generally want to make it every week but it is random so I'll see you next time.
