Hello one and all to another chapter of Pokemon SVTA, today, we will focus on Nemona's family life as the gang make it to the seaside town of Cabo Poco, the town of beginnings. Yes, in this fic, Cabo Poco is a town, I just like it as a town rather than a cliffside, so I imagine the town near the first route where it's vast and wide with Nemona's house similar to the games near the ocean alongside the player's house across the road but it's a huge estate. I don't know why I needed to make it like that but that's how I imagined it prior to the games coming out.
This will be a not so battle focused chapter (at least until the end) but exploring more of Nemona's character and how she struggles with her father (who is trying to make amends with Nemona) and her big sister (who Nemona believes gets more attention and was just ignored in favor of her) as tears, revelations and adventures happen on this nemona focused chapter of Pokemon SVTA.
Also, we get our first requested Cover Story from Dark Tyrant-Fool and that is to cover either the Naganadel Hive or Team Skull. For this one, I'll do the Naganadel one because I'm having a hard time coming up with a story for Guzma and also, I've wanted to know what Ash's Naganadel did after being released as a Poipole and what happened prior to the Guzzlord arrival so this first episode will cover what happened after Poipole was released.
Also, I want to hear your opinion on what the egg at Professor Oak's lab should be and if it should have a major role in Ash's team or not? It can be a mon from this generation or before and was originally thinking Grookey but I want to hear your opinions on what it should be in the future? Without further or do, let's begin.
(Requested) Cover Story 8: Naganadel's Moʻolelo (Story) 1: Ka Mamua (Hawaiian: The Before).
There lived a Poipole who came to Alola through a portal, all it remembered prior was that it flew off from a Hive when the Hive appeared to be dying due to a lack of Necrozma's light and their monarch Naganadel appeared to be dying. In Alola, Poipole befriended a Pikachu that belonged to a kind and energetic trainer named Ash Ketchum and because no one could find Poipole's home, Ash decided to keep Poipole until they can figure out a way to get them back home.
Despite Poipole being a troublemaker, they were a fun addition for a while until Necrozma arrived to cause havoc having fallen into darkness losing its own light after saving Alola. After a series of events that involved Ash and his friends restoring Necrozma's light and allowed for Poipole's world to flourish once again, Poipole departed from Ash and was conflicted, they were happy that they saved their home but didn't want to depart from Ash and Pikachu but tried to get over it.
Poipole (who I'll call Poipoi to differentiate the others) spent their time trying to restore things when it was called up by the monarch Naganadel, the monarch reveals that they don't have much time left saying that even before Necrozma's light disappeared, they were feeling ill and when they saw Poipoi's courageous actions in saving Alola as well as helping Solagaleo and Lunala, the monarch decided that Poipoi will lead the Poipole which causes Poipole to get anxious and needs time to think.
Weeks went on and Poipoi tried to act like the other Poipole but couldn't as they felt indifferent until one day, a group of humanoid marauders and a group of Buzzwole arrived to try to destroy the hive and although the monarch tried to stop them, their power was weakened by their failing body. Seeing Poipoi's fellow Poipole all hurt, Poipoi used all that anger, courage and Pikachu's wisdom to learn Thunderbolt (A/N: Only Naganadel can learn Thunderbolt) and launch it towards the marauders.
They run away but the Buzzwole were still left as Poipoi began to fight once more but no longer alone as the other Poipole are inspired by Poipoi's courage and decide to step up, but they were no match for the strength of Buzzwole. Not letting up, Poipoi used all this tension and charged up an attack and as they did so, they evolved as their body changed into that of Naganadel and launched a monstrous Dragon Pulse defeating the Buzzwole.
The Poipole congratulated the newly evolved Poipoi and so did the Naganadel monarch who passes away in Poipoi's arms telling Poipoi that they'll make an excellent leader and disappears to the light. They all cried that day.
A month goes by as Poipoi hears a commotion nearby and sees a group of Guzzlord (with one of them being a Shiny) going near dimensional cracks and upon looking through, Poipoi notices what's behind the crack, it's Ash's world about to be invaded by Guzzlord. Poipoi takes action and knowing that their Poipole have been trained to deal with any intruder and 3 Poipole had evolved into Naganadel to protect the hive, Poipoi goes off to save their beloved trainer.

Cover Story 9: A Connoisseur's worldwide cooking blog 1: An Exquisite Kalos taste prelude (1):
Cilan is what you call 'a connoisseur', an individual who has a love for the fine arts and that art is, cooking. Cilan is one of 3 gym leaders of Striaton City gym alongside his two brothers Chili and Cress and was intrigued by a young boy named Ash and his Pikachu for their untraditional uniqueness and so after dealing with an incident with Team Rocket and the Dreamyard, he travels with Ash and another companion Iris for future adventures as their cook and navigator. He has a strange of fishing and detectives and has a fear of Purrloin for unknown reasons.
After he departed with Ash and Iris, he decided to travel around and fish with him meeting some of Ash's companions such as Brock, Clemont and Bonnie (A/N: This is true by the way if you didn't know, there were specials in Japan that were never dubbed for unknown reasons). He has been through some adventures such as helping a Petilil and catching it, listening to Team Rocket's podcast, he's been in several Connoisseur scenarios and even been in fishing tournaments over the year and half he's been separated from Ash including one where he found and caught a White striped Basculin which earned him a trophy, cash prize and a new Pokemon that was unknown even to the spectators.
He also congratulated Iris upon her becoming the Unova Champion and asks Iris if she could spread the word about him being famous by association which could attract patrons which Iris notes is strangely out of character. Cilan was actually joking though, and both laugh it off.
Afterwards, he spends his time at his gym serving his patrons and battling trainers while offering valuable advice including some he learned during his journey. One day, Cilan was reading some food blogs talking about how good he and his sibling's restaurant are and how they recommend (except Burgandy, Cilan's rival connoisseur who's still bitter about her constant losses) and Cilan felt happy about it. Inspired by this, Cilan starts a new food blog with the goal of going around the world to find different recipes, ingredients and try some of the most well-known restaurants and a patron suggests heading to Coumarine city to Siebold's famous restaurant Grande étoile for his first restaurant.
But before Cilan could go however, he received a call from Drayden that the Shadow Triad were stalking him, Ash and Iris during their journey and have recently resurged with crossed out photos of him and Ash. Cilan asks if Iris and Ash were alright and they were, Iris was about to investigate them, and Ash is at a school in Paldea which reliefs Cilan knowing his friends were safe and asks if Iris needs help. drom Iris's words to Drayden, she says no as even though they traveled together and fought some tough battles, she doesn't want him to be in danger and has backup with her and tells Cilan to stay at the Gym for couple of days.
A couple of days later, Cilan is able to go out and prepares to go to Kalos for his first food blog.

Main Story:
It's another nice day in the Paldea region where everyone in Los Platos is out buying berries, going to farmers markets and even some students who go to Naranja preparing for their own Treasure Hunt. Ash and his friends have officially formed Team Ash to travel together throughout the Paldea region in order for Ash to help everyone with their goals.
And with this being a nice day, Ash and friends use this opportunity to train before they head off to Cabo Poco, the land of beginnings. We see Ash and Nemona's Pawmo and Teddiursa on the sidelines with holding a timer and a checkered flag all while Penny with her Sprigatito and Ash's Tinkatink (her rattle was with Arven's butler), Nemona with her Fuecoco and Ash's Quaxly, and Arven with his Hisuian Sneasel are standing across from Pikachu, Cyclizar (who looked ecstatic to be next to Sceptile and appears to look up to him) and Sceptile.
Arven's butler Terno and Terno's (Female) Indeedee were also there, he had your typical butler uniform and was old but not too old but more of his mid-60's with a white goatee and spiky hair.
"So, Ash, what's your plan for training?" Nemona asked the trainer, "Glad you asked! In battles, evasion and speed are important for a successful victory and I figured with my Sceptile being the speediest, I thought today's training will test your Pokemon's speed and evasion by trying to capture the flags off of my fastest Pokemon. The only rule is neither side can use any moves to attack them, but the catching side can use them to hinder or slow down and you can use traps and other such tactics."
"I see." Arven said before he smirked with an idea which seemed to creep out everyone.
I don't think I want to know what he's planning. Ash, Penny and Nemona thought to themselves as they prepared themselves, "Quaxly, you'll be teaming up with Nemona and Fuecoco to try to catch Sceptile's two flags. Tinkatink, you'll be teaming up with Penny and Sprigatito to try to catch Pikachu's flag but without your rattle to test your speed. And Arven and Sneasel, you'll be focused on trying to get Cyclizar's flag." Ash said as the gang looks around the field.
"Well, this should be easy." Penny says as Ash looks to Arven's butler, "Terno." Ash says as Indeedee holds up a button and presses it creating a forest on the battlefield which catches everyone off guard including Arven.
"Terno! Why didn't you tell me you had this feature!?" Arven said as Terno shrugs. Ash looks to the flag bearers and nods, "Alright flag bearers, you may run in!" Ash says as the bearers nod and run into the forest.
"Catchers, you have 15 minutes, you may begin!" Ash says as the others get going except for Nemona who appears distracted for some reason which Quaxly and Fuecoco notices and looks on with worry as Ash also looks on with worry, "Nemona?" Ash says which gets Nemona out of her tranced state.
"Oh, sorry Ash just distracted today. Let's go!" Nemona said with her excitement back as they went off but Ash looks on with worry as they head off.
We see Arven running through the forest trying to catch up to Cyclizar (whose flag was on his back) as he was getting tired while his Sneasel Morada kept hopping from tree to tree without appearing tired but stopped to let her trainer catch up.
Arven was huffing by this point appearing tired, "How does Ash do it all the time?" Arven said huffing as Cylizar looked back and smirked and kept running. Arven grabs an Oran Berry out of his bag, "Ok Morada, time for plan A." Arven says as Morada hopped down with a smirk knowing what's going to happen next.
Arven gives her the berry and she eats it; her body starts to glow due to the effects of Unburden and both trainer and Pokemon prepare to catch up. "Alright Morada, go after Cyclizar." Arven said with confidence as Morada ran with quick speed catching up to Cyclizar and Morada proceeded to block Cyclizar's path with her quick movements.
"This shouldn't be too hard." Arven says.
Nearby, we see Penny, Sprigatito and Tinkatink running through the forest trying to catch up to Pikachu and unlike Arven, Penny is able to run for little longer until she has to rest for a bit. We see Pikachu shaking his tail urging them to follow him, Tinkatink appeared to be moving a lot faster without her hammer and Sprigatito was very swifty with her movements as Penny has an idea.
If Pikachu is going to speed up every time we get behind, then why not trick him a bit using camouflage. Penny thought to herself as Sprigatito and Tinkatink went to Penny as she whispered to them her idea and they nod.
A little while later, we see Pikachu once more but this time he's lost track of Penny and the mons until he suddenly trips over some sort of 'rock' and Tinkatink rushing in to grab the flag from Pikachu's tail with Penny smiling on with succession. The 'rock' is actually Sprigatito camouflaged who goes to her trainer's arms in happiness. Pikachu gets up and nods to the 3 of them to a job well done.
Also nearby, we see Sceptile hopping from tree to tree trying to avoid Nemona, Fuecoco (who was falling behind due it's stubby legs) and Quaxly who was catching up to the fast reptilian Pokemon as Nemona was seen stuck in thought when all of a sudden, she crashed into a tree.
The 3 Pokemon stop to look at the trainer especially her Fuecoco who looked concerned, Nemona shook it off and looked to the 3 Pokemon. "Sorry about that, it seems I'm just distracted today, haha." Nemona said trying to brush it off with a fake laugh but it didn''t seem to convince the Pokemon as Nemona gets back up back to her normal self.
"Ah, don't worry about silly old me! Let's get back to what's important!" Nemona said cheerfully as Sceptile nodded and kept hoping with Nemona telling Quaxly and Fuecoco her idea to which they nod at.
A little while later, we Sceptile hopping quickly until Quaxly flew by via Aqua Jet in a blur causing Sceptile to stop all of a sudden and looked to his two hands to see that he still had the flags and let out a sigh of relief. Down below, we see Fuecoco preparing to launch Snarl off the ground and did so launching himself in the air and grabbing a flag out of Sceptile's left hand via his mouth before waving to Sceptile who looks on with confusion.
As that happens, Nemona is seen on a tree trunk preparing to jump at Sceptile with a smirk, "Gotcha!" Nemona said with confidence but as she was about to jump, she saw a vision of her mother Gina as well as an older man and a girl who resembled Nemona but without the green streak or ponytail and seemed to be distracted again as she doesn't realize that her arm was grabbed by Sceptile before she could fall.
Nemona wakes up from her distraction and looks up to see that Sceptile caught her from falling. "Oh, thank you Sceptile." Nemona said trying to brush the incident off, but Sceptile knows something is up but before anything could be done, the whistle was heard signaling the end of the training.
"I was so close." Nemona said as Sceptile helped her down to the ground and they decide to head back but Nemona still looked distracted as her Fuecoco looks on with worry.
We see the 3 groups get out of the forest with their captured flags with Arven, Sneasel and Cyclizar looking rather tired with dust on them, Penny smiling happy with Pikachu and Sprigatito on her shoulder and holds the flag alongside a peace sign, Nemona on the other hand had one flag and looked distracted again.
Ash goes to them impressed by their work and nods, "Well it seems like training was a success, how did you do?" Ash asks them.
"Cyclizar was too fast to deal with." Arven said huffing.
"Pikachu's was a success." Penny said happily patting Pikachu.
"..." Nemona didn't say anything as she was distracted again catching the attention of everyone who look on with worry, Sceptile demonstrates what happened earlier by going to a nearby tree and smashing into it lightly then going up on a tree and proceeding to jump and catching himself on a branch demonstrating what happened which causes the group to be more alert.
"Nemona are you alright!?" Ash said worryingly as Nemona finally wakes up from reality again and laughs, "Sorry everyone, it seems like I'm getting distracted lately, but I'll be fine." Nemona said clearly lying as the others look on with suspicion.
"Are you sure you're ok because it seems to me that you're trying to laugh off something serious." Penny said as Nemona stops laughing and sighs.
"You're right, I'm trying to laugh off my worries and it's not working. I'll explain." Nemona says as they all went to a nearby table to talk about what's going on. Nemona seems nervous at first before breathing in and eventually explains the truth.
"The truth is, I'm getting worried about going back to Cabo Poco because I was arguing with my dad and sister over my goals, dreams, and I was angry towards him for focusing so much on my sister after mom died rather than me and my younger siblings as well as forgetting about the anniversary of mother's birthday. During that argument, dad said that I was only going to be aimless in my adventure and in response, I told him that it should've been mom that should've been here compared to him and a sister better than me in every way." Nemona said as the others look on with shock.
"Nemona..." Ash said with shock, "Yeah, we both said some regrettable things and the last I saw of him was that he had a look of regret and my sister had a look of sadness on her face while I ran off to Naranja and really only returned to grab some things, talk to my younger siblings, butlers and maids and help take care of the Pokemon in my late mother's stead but I've ignored both father and Leoa despite us having something to say to each other and yet, we can't get it out of our mouths."
"Did you want to apologize?" Penny asks as Nemona shrugs, "I'm not sure." Nemona said unsure of herself as the gang remained silent for a while.
The gang eventually leaves Los Platos with the goal of heading to Cabo Poco and along the way, Ash notices a lighthouse that looked intriguing.
"A lighthouse." Ash says as Arven nods, "Yep, my family owns all 4 lighthouses in Paldea." Arven says which catches the attention of Nemona and Penny who moonwalk back to Arven and Ash with shock.
"Wait, you own all 4 lighthouses in Paldea!?" Nemona says with shock in her face as Arven shrugs.
"Pretty much, we're catching up to you when it comes to acquisitions." Arven says confidently as Nemona then proceeds to have a vein and smirks, "Don't count on it, your parents maybe rich but my dad is the 5th richest person in the world and has a stake in many corporations around the world so for instance; a 20% stake in the Poketch company, a 35% stake in Silph. Co, a 48% stake in the Devon corporation, a 10% stake in Naranja academy, a 45% stake in Atmus games, a 60% in Unova's Game Freak corporation, a 40% in the Kalos power plant, a 20% stake in Lumiose Tower-"
"Hey that's where my friends Clemont and Bonnie are from, you own a stake for a gym and tower?" Ash added in as Nemona nods, "yeah pretty much, long story. Where was I? Oh right, and most importantly, we own the Rotom-oto corporation that provides your Rotom phones among other corporations." Nemona finished shocking everyone except Arven who smirks.
"You own a stake in my favorite video game company!?" Penny said shocked as Nemona nods, "Pretty much, again."
"Your family may own a large stake in everything but don't forget my parents are tied for 10th richest in the world and own some stakes in major scientific corporations and such including-"
Arven and Nemona goes on to talk about stakes and such causing Penny to get bored, but Ash is so confused about money stuff that he starts to melt from confusion and boredom with Pikachu looking at his trainer who's in a blank slate right now. Penny noticing this decides to break up the 'fight' by going to Arven and tapping him on the shoulder.
"Yeah Penny?"
"I hate to break it to you, but-" Penny goes to Arven's ear and whispers, "Ash is the 8th richest person in the world thanks to his Champion earnings and is 3rd in terms of Champion earnings behind Diantha at 6th and Cynthia at 4th." Penny whispered to Arven who immediately is shocked.
"You're telling me that Ash is 8th richest person in the world in terms of his earnings, but he hasn't even put stakes into anything!?" Arven says as Ash chimes in.
"I'm only 12 and a half." Ash says causing Arven to clear his throat.
"...Fair point."
The atmosphere clears and Ash decides to ask another question.
"Say Arven, why buy a lighthouse that's meant for boats?" Ash asks as Arven nods, "Gladly, my parents decided to buy the lighthouses to put their labs and this lab belongs to my mom who studies the past and although I really don't want to, I might as well try to show you what I mean by 'the past'." Arven says as he guides the group to the door that leads into the lab until they notice a note on the door.
'To anyone who comes to this door, I'm away at a meeting and won't be back until tomorrow. If you have any questions, wait till tomorrow morning.' - from Professor Sada Regalo, 'P.S: Arven, bring your romantic partner soon.' all signed with a smiley face and heart.
"I don't have a romantic partner! She'll always tease me like that, c'mon let's get going." Arven says secretly glad that he didn't have to go in there.
The gang walk along Poco Path, a path that contained many Pokemon playing about and eventually, the gang see a glimpse of the ocean. "Is that what I think it is?" Ash asks as the group nods and he and Pikachu run out to see and the result impressed the trainer and Pokemon.
It was a sprawling ocean with many Flying types flying about and Water types swimming about and Ash looks around him to the rest of the town, shops, people walking about, boardwalks, festival preparations, a Ferris wheel, and so much more that impresses the two.
"This, is amazing!" "Pi Pika Pi!" both Ash and Pikachu say as the gang catch up and marvel over the ocean view.
"This everyone is Cabo Poco, the town of beginnings." Nemona says as they look at the view with Ash getting intrigued by that phrase, "What do you mean by that?" Ash asks the spunky trainer who nods.
"Cabo Poco is called that due to its history as a port to what lies beyond this town and where many trainer's journeys begin. A long time ago when the region was recovering from the Artifacts incident, the region opened their borders to everyone after being isolated by the kingdom of Paldea. The first to arrive were several ambassadors from Galar and the dukes of Paldea Agrumes and Raisin who were sent to Galar for training in the royal family for 10 years. When they came back, the kingdom was disestablished and their roles were redundant- mmmm, I forgot what else Raifort told us." Nemona said as Penny sighed and continued in her place.
"This didn't deter the brothers however as they decided to have Paldea acquainted with the outside world with the Galarian ambassadors and to make things short, despite some rockiness at first, the Paldeans were able to establish a working relationship with the Galarians and so Cabo Poco is seen as a town that combines both cultures together and the brothers decided to form the academies of Paldea and so this town is one of the most important in history for helping establish Paldea to the outside world and why many trainers start here of all places." Penny concluded as Ash looks on with intrigue.
"That's both interesting and boring." Ash said with an excited tone.
"It typically is." Arven, Penny and Nemona say at the same time. Nemona eventually points over to a large estate containing a mansion in the distance which was expansive, pure white with some stain glass and hat interconnected bridgeways to different facilities with one of them seeming to have a playground for Pokemon and a battlefield behind it.
"That over there is my home." Nemona said making the group impressed but Arven (despite his enthusasim) scoffs, "Sure it's slightly bigger but what does it have that I don't have?" Arven says as Nemona smirks.
"You'll see." Nemona says as the group walk along the trail.
The gang eventually make it to the front gate of Nemona's mansion with Nemona pressing a button on the speakers.
"Banderas residence how may I help you." A cheerful female voice was herd saying.
"It's me Palmeira." Nemona said with a bright smile.
"Me who?" the voice said cheerfully once more as Nemona smiles.
"You, me, us." Nemona says with the gate opening and the door opens to see a figure dashing towards Nemona intent with something as the group (other than Nemona and Pawmo who held her arms out), the figure eventually arrives to hug Nemona and Pawmo who she held tightly.
"Nemo Nemo Nemo, why didn't you call me to tell me you were arriving soon!?" the female figure said happily, the individual looked to be a bit plump with tan skin and glasses and looked to be around her mid 30's.
"Sorry Palmeira, I had student council things to do, and I just came by to show these guys around and grab some things for the Treasure Hunt for Tuesday." Nemona said, "Well at least stay for lunch, it's been a long tim-" Palmeira stops herself upon seeing Pawmo and immediately hugs him.
"Omigoodness Pawmi you evolved into Pawmo, I'm so happy for you!" Palmeira said happily hugging the life out of Pawmo.
"Paw!" Pawmo said.
Palmeira stops hugging Pawmo and bows to the group, "Greetings, I apologize for not introducing myself earlier, but my name is Palmeira, but you can call me Mei or Meira and I'm the maid of the Banderas household and head of the maid unit here at this estate as well as the keeper of Nemona's diary entries." Mei said bowing to Ash, Arven and Penny as Nemona adamantly tried to deny it while bushing.
"Mei!"
"I'm only kidding, slightly." Mei teased as Ash went first.
"The name's Ash from Pallet Town and this is my partner Pikachu." "Pika!" both say as Penny and Sprigatito went next.
"The name's Penny from Cortondo and this is my lovely partner Sprigatito." "Tito!" both say as Arven and Morada the Sneasel went last.
"My name is Arven from Los Platos and this is my partner Morada." "Sneas!" both say as Mei looks on with familiarity, "Aren't you the professors son."
"Does everyone know who I am!?"
"Yes." 3 voices were heard as the gang turn to a nearby bush to see two butlers and a maid eavesdropping before immediately sinking into the bush, "I'm burning those baby pictures when I get home." Arven said as the gang proceed to walk into the estate. The estate was large with Pokemon wandering round, maids and butlers working on the gardens, so on and so forth which impressed the group. Nemona opens the large doors to the house and the inside was even more pleasant with furbished while coloring throughout the inside, fancy furniture and a large painting depicting Nemona with her Pawmi, an older female individual resembling Nemona but without the ponytail, an older light skinned female with a white dress, two younger male individuals as well as an older male individual with a mustache.
In addition, there are two lines involving a row of 9 butlers and 9 maids with a stoic butler with a monocle and frizzled hair standing at various angles alongside a Flamigo standing beside him. Everything was silent for a moment until the stoic butler started crying tears of joy while trying to get rid of the tears.
"Why didn't you call us master Nemona and master Pawmi- err Pawmo, we missed you." the butler said as the other butlers and maids (except Mei) started crying and Nemona and Pawmo looking on awkwardly.
"Same reasons I told Mei, Cinza but I missed all of you too, haha." Nemona said as Cinza stopped crying and looked a bit more sophisticated. "Yes, sorry about that, I shouldn't have cried in front of our guests. My name is Cinza and this is my partner Laco the Flamigo."
"Fla!" they said before Cinza continued, "I am the head of the butler unit, and my job is to make sure the Helena-Banderas residence is safe and sound. Let's get to the serious business, Nemona, which one of these 3 is your date?" Cinza said teasingly as Nemona blushes.
"Not again!" Nemona said as Cinza laughs, "I only kid. I assume your excited for the Treasure Hunt coming soon for you 4?" Cinza said as the group nods as Cinza smiles.
"Oh, this is bringing back nostalgic memories of my days. But this isn't about little old me, I assume you're here to grab your things?" Cinza says as Nemona nods, "Yep, I'm showing these guys around here, grab some stuff and Mei suggested lunch so that's what we're going to do." Nemona says as Cinza nods.
"Certainly,Kyle. Please tell the chefs to prepare a luxurious lunch for our up-and-coming Treasure Hunters, this day will mark a momentous occasion for Master Nemona." Cinza asks a nearby butler and nods and leaves.
"Did I hear lunch?" a deeper female voice was heard.
"And did I hear Nemona's got a date." three male voices were heard saying as Nemona sighs and yet softly smiles as if she's expecting someone and the rest of Ash's group looks on in confusion to see 4 kids with 2 kids around Nemona's age with a girl having more black boyish short hair and casual clothing and a boy who had a more casual look. 1 being around Ash and Penny's age and has long frizzy hair that covered his eyes and similarly tan skin similar to Nemona and a young boy who appeared to be around the size and age of Max and Bonnie came down the stairs and Nemona held out her arms for them as they go to hug Nemona and Pawmo.
"You're back!" all 4 say as Nemona and Pawmo ruffle their hairs, "That's right you scamps, I'm back for a bit!" Nemona says as Arven spoke up. "Are they your siblings?" he asks as Nemona as she grabs the shaggy haired individual and the young one.
"The shaggy one is Maculata and the scamp is Spot and they're my brothers, but my fellow tomboy Coco and the boring boy Drupe are actually Mei's children, but we grew up beside each other enough to be considered semi-siblings." Nemona said ruffing up their hair.
"Hey, I'm not boring!" Drupe said.
"I've heard of some stories where the maid stays at a mansion but not a family?" Penny said as Mei nods, "It may seem unusual but to keep things short, I was going through tough times and Nemona's family helped me out when they had no reason to and so I decided to help them because I felt indebted to them despite saying that I didn't need to. Eventually, I worked my way up and my children and Nemona's siblings are practically family and it's all making me sad." Mei said comedically crying surprising Penny.
"Wait! I'm sorry!" Penny said frantically.
"It's alright, I'm just happy." Mei responded, things were silent for a moment until a Chespin, Gible, Marill, Goomy, Toxel, Petilil and Flababe walked (or I guess crawled, hopped and float in for Goomy, Petilil and Flabebe respectively) in and pounced on Nemona who giggled and then laughed.
"Hahaha, I missed you too!" Nemona said hugging all of them as Mei and Cinza looked on in awe, "Say Nemona, are these your Pokemon?" Ash asked as Nemona got up holding the Gible and Chespin.
"Not quite. I don't think I told you this, but my mother used to run a vet like business called the Shangri-La where she would help take care and raise injured Pokemon hurt in the wild, abandoned, etc. before we release them back into the wild or give them to trainers once they've been rehabilitated which is how I met Pawmo."
"Paw!" Pawmo said happily as he nudged Nemona's cheek, "That's amazing! I- I imagine this was very special for her." Ash said sincerely as Nemona smiles.
"Yeah, thank you Ash. I decided to continue on her legacy by running the business in order to give these mons a new home or to get stronger to survive on their own and I'll work as hard as I can to make her proud!" Nemona said cheerfully as Cinza and Mei proceeded to cry a fountain of tears causing the others to grab umbrellas for themselves.
"I'm so happy!" both Mei and Cinza say crying, it's when Coco hears the name Ash that she gets interested.
"Did you say Ash?" Coco said as Nemona immediately got up and looked at her sternly, "Yes he is and you will treat him with respect and-"
"Come with me, you'll be surprised as to the amount of Pokemon we have at the Shangri-La." Coco said as she grabbed Ash's hand and led him to a nearby door to the outside as Nemona sighed. "I expect the same respect for Ash as a guest, I'll handle them Mei, please show Arven and Penny around if you please." Nemona says as she immediately went after them.
"On it, I'll let you know when lunch is ready!" Mei says as she looks to Penny and Arven, "You want to see our gaming/theater room?" Mei said which peaked the interest of Penny.
"You have a gaming room, what type of games do you have?" Penny said with a Cheshire grin, "5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th generation consoles and games with a record-breaking collection of games and consoles with largest at-home movie theater in the world also." Mei says as Arven and Penny nod at each other.
"We're in!" both Penny and Arven say casually.
Meanwhile, Ash and Pikachu are seen being dragged by Coco to a nearby facility where Ash sees a bunch of Pokemon playing on playgrounds, pools and even a large Golurk making sure peace is kept between the Pokemon. There were also nurses and vets taking care of injured Pokemon and all of this seems to have impressed Ash and Pikachu who looked on in awe.
"This is amazing!" "Pika!" both say making Coco chuckle, "Like it? I knew you would because I want to know all about you through a Pokemon batt-" Coco didn't finish as Nemona arrived huffing alongside Pawmo and the Pokemon from before.
"Stop right there, Coco! I know you have your love of Champions, but you need to ask per- per- oh my goodness I'm only 14 and yet I feel tired as an old man. Permission, you need to ask permission first." Nemona finished as she went to a nearby chair to sit down as Coco blushes. "Hehe, sorry. I have a love of champions, so I often get carried away." Coco said blushing as Ash shrugs it off and nods.
"I get that often." Ash said as Nemona stretches and is back to normal, "Glad all that's forgiven, now I can show you around this place." Nemona says as Ash, Pikachu, Coco and the Pokemon from before following Nemona along the path where we see different rooms such as vets taking care of younger Pokemon, some children, adults and trainers interacting with the Pokemon among other fun activities going on.
"There's a lot of activities going on." Ash says as Nemona nods, "Yep, this facility is for nursing Pokemon back to health, we play areas and pens outside where the Pokemon can interact with each other and where families and trainers can come to view the Pokemon and even an opportunity for those people to adopt a Pokemon to give them a loving home.
"So, it's mainly Pokemon who've been hurt in the wild?" Ash asks as Nemona nods, "Yes, though, it's also for Pokemon who have been... mistreated by certain individuals." Nemona says a bit sadly as Ash understood that sentiment and looked to Quaxly's Pokeball, he's glad that he found Quaxly as soon as he did and also thinks about the other Pokemon that were rescued by Saguaro and makes a mental note to himself of visiting that orphanage later on. They continue walking until a woman with long brown pigtails and a white lab coat walks in holding a clipboard.
"Nemona is that you!?" the woman said excitedly as Nemona nods and goes to hug her, "In the flesh, Ash and Pikachu, this is the co-head of Shangri-La, Torta."
"Hi there, I help out the Pokemon here find new forever homes or help them back to full strength in the wild. It's a pleasure to meet the both of you." Torta says holding out her hand for Ash as he shakes it. "Pleasure's all mine. Co-head?" Ash asks.
"Yeah, I'm only 14 so when I decided to continue the business in my mother's stead, I had Torta by my side to handle the well- adult stuff." Nemona says simply as Torta nods, "Yes, I handle the business half and all that. Nemona, I'm sure you're ready for the Treasure Hunt soon." Torta said positively as Nemona nods in excitement. Both Nemona and Torta went on about their respective adventures until Nemona's phone rang with a message from Mei that lunch should be done soon.
"Well, it seems like lunch should be done. Let's head back to the house." Nemona says as Ash and Coco nod and Torta waves goodbye and leads the Pokemon from before to somewhere else while Ash, Pikachu, Coco, Nemona and Pawmo go back to the mansion where surprises are bound to happen.
The 3 make it back to the house with them chatting about their adventures as Nemona opens the door to the entranceway wand when they walked in, they see Arven, Drupe, Nemona's siblings, Mei, Cinza and Penny happily talking to two individuals one was a young woman with dyed yellow short hair with tan skin and yellow eyes while the other was an older individual with tanned skin, goatee and a happy expression holding a souffle. Nemona's and Pawmo's eyes widen with worry as the two individuals turn to face the 3 who walked in, and the two individual's eyes also widen in fear as they stood there for a moment while Coco drags Ash to the side where Penny and the others are at.
"¡Nemo, Pawmi- err Pawmo, tu espalda! ¿Soufflé" (Translation: "Nemo, Pawmi- err Pawmo, your back! Souffle?") the older gentleman said nervously holding a chocolate souffle.
"¿Quieres hablar de tu novio, Nemo" ("Do you want to talk about your boyfriend, Nemo?") The girl said also nervously.
Ash asks Mei, "What language are they using?"
"That's Native Paldean, the Banderas family uses Paldean whenever things get nervous or tense around here." Mei said as Ash looks on, "Have any idea what they said?" Ash asks as Penny explained.
"Había una vez un pequeño Skiddo que trató de cruzar un puente, pero un Grimmsnarl quería comérselos, pero Skiddo le dijo a Grimmsnarl que probara con su hermano Gogoat, ya que harían una mejor comida. Gogoat arrives and Grimmsnarl tries to eat Gogoat, but tells Grimmsnarl about his beefy brother Terrakion, who would make the best food. The Terrakion came and knocked Grimmsnarl off the bridge and all 3 Pokémon lived in pieces while Grimmsnarl needed a hospital bill. The End.")
"¡Eso no es una traducción o lo que dijeron en absoluto" ("That's not a translation or what they said at all) Arven said calling her out.
"I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but I agree with that sentiment." "Pika!" both Ash and Pikachu say.
Nemona and the two individuals stand there before Nemona walks by them while Pawmo tries to catch up causing the group to get shocked, "Mei, could you send up the menu, I'll order for my room." Nemona said sounding slightly upset as the man and older girl tried to reach out to her.
"Wait Nemona!" both individuals say, "There's nothing to talk about, sorry Ash and everyone, I need a coupl- no, a while." Nemona says as she goes upstairs while the others look on with worry.
"Nemona." Ash says worried for his friend as the older girl and gentleman turns around with regret on their faces.
"Nemo, my dear." the man said as the girl pat him on the back, "Sorry you had to see that. You must be Ash, right?" the girl says as Ash nods as the girl softly smiles. "I assume this has something to do with what Nemona told us earlier?" Ash says getting the attention of the man and older girl who look to each other and nod.
"Yes, I think it's best we explain this over lunch."
We switch to a dining room where the table was huge in size, but everyone sat at the corner while we see the gang's Pokemon enjoying their lunch in an outside balcony area that was large for Pokemon to eat at.
We see everyone at the table except for Nemona (who was still in her room), her siblings other than their big sister who were trying to cheer Nemona up and Mei who was with Nemona at the moment.
"You all must be Nemona's friends, thank for being there for her and I'm sorry you had to see our family issues at hand. My name is Rolo Banderas, owner of several businesses and I'm the father of Nemona, Spot, Maculata and this here is my oldest child."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Leoa, the heir to the Banderas corporation." Leoa said bowing as the gang nods as Ash went first.
"The name's Ash Ketchum and I'm from Pallet Town."
"Arven's the name and I'm from Los Platos."
"I'm Penny from Cortondo." Penny then thinks about the words Leoa said about being an heir.
"The pleasure's all mine. I would've loved to talk to you Ash about Champion sponsorships, but I'll put that on hold. I assume you know the scenario with Nemona, yes?" Rolo says as the gang nods and he sighs, "If you don't mind me asking, could you explain what caused this friction if you don't mind." Ash asks as both Rolo and Leoa nods.
"Not at all. Well, let's start with this, Gina was very special to all of us but most importantly to Nemona as they went on a lot of adventures and taught Nemona how to battle like a trainer. And so, when she passed away, we were all devastated but I was the most devastated and kept to myself for a while working and focusing on the business world and when Leoa took an interest in my business, I was surprised and decided to-"
"You didn't want to force your children to follow your path but encouraged them to follow their dreams and Leoa took an intrest in your job and so you focused on her causing this conflict." Penny said that made both Rolo and Leoa look on with shock.
"How did you know?" Rolo says as Penny pushes up her glasses, "It's a common trope within Anime but if I was being serious, I thought about the words Leoa said and what Nemona mentioned and put two and two together."
Rolo smiles and nods, "Yes, you are absolutely right. Unlike other rich individuals, I didn't want them to follow the business route if they don't want to but rather find their own dreams much to the ire of certain individuals and yet, Leoa was interested as you said Penny, but I didn't think what I was doing would make Nemona think I was ignoring her. I wished I knew that earlier before the argument."
"And I assume your forgetfulness- no offense! Was the reason for what caused the argument." Arven says as both Rolo and Leoa nodded.
"Yes. On the day of Gina's birthday, Nemona was about to visit her grave at Mesagoza with all of this but unfortunately, I didn't realize it was that date and thought that the day was just something else important to her. How stupid was I that day."
"Father." Leoa said worryingly as Rolo shakes it off and continues, "Sorry, Nemona thought that I forgotten about Gina and that I was just focusing on Leoa rather than everyone else. I- I never wanted them to feel left out but as Penny said, I wanted to make sure Leoa wanted to really follow my footsteps for the future. Long story short, Nemona told me that Gina was the only one who acknowledged her goals of becoming a gym trainer. Another result of my ignorance is that what I said that broke the Camerupt's back, 'If you become a gym trainer, you'll only end up aimless' is what I said, I wish I never said that to her." Rolo said sadly as a tears drips down his face and the others look on with sympathy as Leoa pats her father on the back.
"You only said that to her because you didn't want to lose her didn't you." Ash says as Rolo opens his eyes to realization and then nods, "You're absolutely right. Paldea is a huge region full of mountains, wild Pokemon and I while I don't want to deny my child's dream, I also don't want to lose anyone again but unfortunately, it seems like that I upsetted her with that word and after I said that to her, she would say how she wished her mother were alive and left only coming back to continue Gina's business, break or whatever's going on." Rolo said with regret in his voice and Leoa starts to cry.
All of them sit there for a moment while Ash looks down upon himself until something comes up in his mind, "Mr. Banderas, if you don't mind me interjecting, I think your concerns are valid, but I want to say this. Nemona has displayed a level of confidence and determination I've seen before but she seems different, she's kind, helps others and is a great Student Council president when it comes to various issues at the school. But what I'm also trying to say is that I know she's determined from the first day I arrived by battling me, she's battled Team Star with me, she defended me from a student from another school who wanted me out, and I noticed how she always looks up to her mother due to her Champion-level status and wanted to become a Champion-ranked trainer because of that and so I've been helping her train and will provide more training and tips for Gym battles in the future once the Treasure Hunt starts."
Rolo and Leoa look on with surprise, "I-I-" Rolo didn't finish as Ash's face turned to a more somber look.
"But not everyone's as bright and cheery as Superman. Nemona has gone through some stuff that she feels sad about such as not being able to come up with a unique style that could match me and her mother's battle style, she's felt alone due to her status, she lost her own friend on the anniversary of her mother's death and has been called unnecessarily rude names and just earlier today, she was scared to go back because she herself felt regret for the things she's said to you. But even with all that, she wants to persevere and make a difference in everyone." Ash says as the group looks on sadly especially Rolo and Leoa.
"Oh Nemo." Leoa said sadly, "Has she kept all this to herself the whole time and she never... Oh sweetie." Rolo said sadly as Ash stands up confidently.
"You want to apologize right?" Ash asks the two as they nod, "Then I recommend you apologize but I also recommend you have a battle with her to see her skills and hopefully talk things out during the battle." Ash continued as Rolo and Leoa look on with shock.
"Ash, I- I'm not sure." Rolo says as Ash continues, "She's been practicing with me whenever she has time and every time she does, she improves. Sure, there are flaws but, in the end, no one is perfect whether that be as an individual, battles, arguments or anything like that. But I'll help her no matter what!" Ash says as Rolo's tears dripped down fastly.
"Ash, right!" Rolo says with a new sense of determination.
A little while later, we see Nemona and her Pokemon having finished up their lunch and looking out the balcony over the vast ocean.
"Coco?" Fuecoco said worryingly towards his trainer who looks distracted once more, "Oh, sorry guys, it's just me being distracted again. You know, I talked with Mei about my issues and yet, it seems like I'm divisive towards apologizing to them. I want them to realize that I have goals and dreams and yet, what I said was horrible. I-I-I don't know anymore!" Nemona said sadly crying into her legs when she heard a knock at the door, and something slips under her door.
Teddiursa goes to grab it and gives it to her trainer who looks at it, "I heard you were feeling down, and I heard that you guys have a battlefield at the beach so I was wondering if I could cheer you up with a battle from Ash with a smiley face." Nemona reads out loud as her tears stops and chuckles.
"Oh Ash, you know how to make me happy." Nemona said with a smile as Fuecoco jumps up with anticipation.
"Oh, I guess you haven't battled in a while, sorry about that. Today's your turn." Nemona says happily as she picks up Fuecoco and Nemona and her Pokemon proceed to go outside to the back.
Nemona walks down to the beach where Ash and Pikachu are seemingly the only one present on the battlefield with Arven, Penny and the others on the side on a platform watching from the distance.
"You really know how to cheer me up you know that." Nemona says as Ash smirks, "No problem, but I'm not your first opponent." Ash says as Nemona looks on confused as Rolo walks into the scene and the mood changes.
"Father?" Nemona said now getting a bit irritated, "Look, I know your angry at me for my words and I admit, I should've never said those things to you and I'm sorry. But I want to see how determined you are if you're going to take the Gym challenge, so I'll be your first roadblock to this Treasure Hunt. What do you say?" Rolo says with a reassured, but Nemona was unconvinced.
"I'm mixed on this, I have so many things to say to you and yet-"
"Maybe those words will show when the battle starts." Rolo said as Nemona sighed, "Alright, you have a deal. Fuecoco let's go!" Nemona says as Fuecoco hops from Nemona's arms onto the battlefield as Ash looks to both challengers and nods.
"And I'll be your referee for this battle, this will b and the victor will be decided when one's Pokemon has fainted. Do you have your Pokemon set?" Ash asks as Nemona nods and Rolo grabs a Pokeball and nods.
"Yes, Scovillain, come on out!" Rolo says throwing the Pokeball in the air releasing a Two headed pepper Pokemon that displays both anger and mischief.
"Sco." "Villain." both heads say as Ash grabs his Dex and scans it.
"Scovillain, The Spicy Pepper Pokemon, a Grass/Fire type. This Pokemon has two heads that displays its personalities with the red being stubborn, explosive and angry while the green is mischievous and a prankster but can get as angry as the red pepper if it's affected by spicy chemicals.
"A Grass/Fire type, that's pretty cool." Ash says impressed as Nemona's Fuecoco and Rolo's Scovillain are ready to go.
Over in the distance, we see Penny and Arven looking on with concern, "I wonder if things will work out in the end?" Penny says worryingly.
"There's only one way to really find out and that's through battle." Leoa says as the battle begins.
"You may have the first move my dear." Rolo says as Nemona scoffs.
"Don't call me dear, Fuecoco use Bite!" Nemona says as Fuecoco's jaw glows and rushes towards Scovillain as Rolo prepares, "Scovillain grab onto it with your arm!" Rolo says as Scovillain blocks the attack by using its arm.
The arm!? both Ash and Nemona thought to themselves as Rolo smirks, "Don't get distracted now, Zen Headbutt!" Rolo says as the green pepper head glows, but Nemona woke back up to reality once more.
"Distracted huh, like you ignoring us in favor of Leoa. Fuecoco use Snarl to push yourself away!" Nemona said as Fuecoco as he launches dark energy from his mouth launching himself back and causing Scovillain to appear a bit dazed a bit which makes Nemona see an opportunity.
"Use Snarl again to launch yourself!" Nemona says as Fuecoco turns around and launches himself backwards vis Snarl surprising Rolo and Scovillain as Fuecoco hits Scovillain sending him back a bit making him fall to the ground.
"Are you alright Scovillain?" Rolo asks as Scovillain gets up and back in action before Rolo remembers what Nemona mentioned earlier, "Look. I know your angry at for that reason, but Leoa took an interest in my work and it's just-"
"Even if that's the case, you forgot about mom's special day. Did you even care for her!?" Nemona intervenes angrily as Rolo looks on with regret, "I do love her, I fell in love with her not because of her background but for her personality and the fact that I would forget that day is something I regret dearly. Please understand." Rolo says as Nemona looks on with some shame but wasn't convinced.
"Understand? You never understood me and my goals, I wanted to become like her and yet you think I'm aimless. I'll show you that I'm not aimless and my goals are clear. Fuecoco use Incinerate!" Nemona says as Fuecoco releases a large burst of fire from his mouth as Rolo prepares another attack, "Energy Ball!" Rolo calls out as Scovillain launches a ball of energy from his mouth onto the oncoming Incinerate and both collide to create a puff of smoke which scattered onto the field.
"Zen Headbutt!/Bite!" both Nemona and Rolo say at the same time as Fuecoco's jaw glowed and Scovillain's red pepper head glowed, and both launch at each other with Fuecoco biting Scovillain's red pepper head while Scovillain tries to shake it off.
"Send him down!" Rolo yelled out as Scovillain prepares to send Fuecoco down to the ground with full force, "Incinerate point blank!" Nemona says as Scovillain sends Fuecoco down at full force and Fuecoco launches a fire ball at the same time both taking major damage. Fuecoco though injured, gets back up and Scovillain shakes off the damage.
"Look, I admit there's no way of taking back what I said or what I did but another reason I focused on your sister was that I didn't want you to follow my footsteps restricting you from doing what you want to do. I know I pushed you away without realizing it and I'm sorry." Rolo says apologetically and although Nemona looks sympathetic, she stills feels unsure.
"Then why don't you trust me, I worked hard to make everyone like me for who I am and yet you think I'm aimless and yet-"
"I only said that because-"
"Because what!?"
Rolo stays silent but through Ash's determined look, he breathes in and sighs. "Because I don't want to lose anyone again." Rolo says simply as everything went silent and Nemona looked on with shock.
"What?..." Nemona said with shock, Rolo breathes in again.
"I said that because I didn't want to lose anyone, Paldea is huge and full of dangers and so when I heard you wanted to follow Gina's footsteps, I felt so afraid to lose you that I only said that to deter you away from that path and while it did deter you, it only pushed you away from this home and I never got to apologize for what I've said. So, when you came back, I was happy, but I was still afraid that you were going down that path. It wasn't until Ash told me about your goals and achievements that I realized, I- I- that I was blinded by my own fears and didn't think your feelings. It was through this battle that I see your goals are clear and set, you are capable of great things as a trainer and my daughter. You don't have to forgive me but at the very least, let me make amends for my own foolish act-" Rolo didn't finish as Nemona and Pawmo (hugging his leg) hugged him hard.
"Nemo?" Rolo said crying.
"You dummy! I'm sorry too and I'm sorry to Leoa for the things I said to the two of you!" Nemona said crying as Rolo looked on with surprise as Maculata, Spot and Leoa go to hug him too.
"I want you to follow your dreams, all of you. I love you all." Rolo says hugging them, Fuecoco and Scovillain go to fist bump each other and apologize for the roughness from before. Ash looks on and although he was about to say something, he decides to leave a note instead and he and Pikachu go to Arven, Penny and the others to allow Nemona and her family to have a moment to themselves.
Later that day, they were having dinner to celebrate Nemona's upcoming journey and allowed Ash, Penny and Arven to stay over the night. While they were eating and talking about their adventures, Nemona excuses herself to look at the night sky from the balcony and Ash joins her.
"Nemona, is everything ok?" Ash asks the no longer distracted Nemona who looks to Ash and smiles.
"You know, I think it's well. Sure, maybe not everything is perfect, but I think I'm getting along more with my father and sister now after we talked about our problems throughout the day. It's not perfect, but we're making it work." Nemona says as fireworks reminiscent of Pikachu, Eevee and the Paldean starters appear in the night sky.
"Hmm, fireworks?" Ash asks, "It's a common thing around Capo Poco especially near the 'Day of Unity'" Nemona says.
"Day of Unity?" Ash asks the spunky trainer, "The Day of Unity is the day that Paldea united with Galar following the fall of the kingdom and helping them out of isolation, there's a statue downtown that features Agrumes and Raisin shaking hands with the new leader of Paldea Unir and the top hero who saved Paldea from the artifacts Abierta who would end up as the first Top Champion of the region and helped unite the region from destruction."
"And those two founded the schools, right?" Ash asks as Nemona nods, "Yep."
"There's going to be a lot of things we might not know about Paldea, are you ready for what's about to come?" Ash asks, "You know it sense- no Ash. Wherever we go as a team, we'll be bound to find out everything new but for today." Nemona stops herself upon seeing everyone covering their ears from Arven's bad singing skills in karaoke.
"Let's enjoy ourselves." Nemona says as Ash nods and the two plus Ash's Pikachu and Nemona's Pawmo go to have fun for the night ahead.
The night went on swimmingly, but the next day will prove to be something they'll never forget as we see the Koraidon from before as they're seen resting near some Pokemon looking up at the sky ready for what's about to come for the next day.
Miraidon wakes up after being knocked out and looks to be angry, their eyes go into a blank line with an automated voice appearing from Miraidon.
"Objective: Eliminate Koraidon before they leave. Operation paraíso is to go."
We also see the man from before working on a machine, he looks to a picture of young Arven and a Machiff and softly smiles with some regret in his eyes before he gets back to the machine.
"It seems they're about to fight. Arven and Sada are going to hate me for this." the man said as he got back to work.

We finally made it through another chapter and the next chapter is going to be what I call 'the real start to the plot' as in the next chapter, Koraidon finally arrives to Paldea and Ash, Pikachu and Koraidon get to finally know each other once and for all. This next part will also be split into two chapters though Part 1 is shorter than Part 2 mainly because I have some stuff to do Behind the Scenes.
I hope you're ready for what's about to come. Also, after chapter 19, I might take a bit of a break to not only prepare for the next half of the story but also some things to do with summer break occurring (that and some backlogs of games and FF16 in two weeks so I'll be busy but it shouldn't be too long of a break) but to give you an idea of my plans for the next couple of chapters, here are some snippets of details:
Chapter 17 (part 1): Koraidon arrives to Paldea and upon falling down a cliff to find out what Koraidon is, Ash teams up with Koraidon to get out of there.
Chapter 18 (Part 2): Both Ash and Koraidon get out, but Arven seems fixated on trying to get rid of Koraidon and it's where we get some characterization from both Arven and Koraidon. Also, Team Rocket return and Sada, just Sada.
Chapter 19: With a day before the Treasure Hunt, the gang seeks to get Koraidon settled in but Cyclizar seems to be getting kind of jealous towards Koraidon for doing what Cyclizar can do but better as Ash realizes too late that Cyclizar is jealous and now must fix their relationship. Also Team Rocket and Clavell gets word from Koraidon from a student of his, Turo, Arven's father.
Chapter 20: The gang officially set off for Cortondo and Ash has his first battle upon leaving for the Treasure Hunt, but Quaxly seems to recognize an old friend from back when they were with their previous trainer and emotions ensue.
Chapter 21: The gang arrives to Cortondo to find out that they're having a festival and the gym won't be open until tomorrow, it's where some criminals arrive and the heroic Hawluchador and his Shiny Hawlucha appear to save the day (with some relation to the Gym leader) and it's also where a Nymble that Hawluchador saves wants to be like her hero and Ash decides to help with his hawlucha at hand. Also, some bonus Penny emotional characterization though only near the end of the chapter when they head to her house because I had nowhere else to put it.
Chapter 22: Nemona particpates in a Gym Challenge to challenge the Gym leader revolving around pushing a large ball to a goal, can she do it.
