Welcome one and all to another chapter of Pokemon SVTA and today, we'll be continuing the gang's journey to Mela's Scheder base, but it seems like something's in the way as the gang discover a Tera Den, a den that contains Tera Pokemon and despite Arven's warning, TR accidently pushes them in and themselves into a Den containing a Garganacl. What shenanigans will occur in the Den and after the Den? Only one way to find out without spoiling too much.

Cover Story 51: The Clembot's Daily Life 2: Emma, Skiddo and a New Day
With Clembot having learned of Meyer's story of how he met his wife, Clembot decided on a new goal in life, to learn more about Lumiose and its citizens. On this day, he and Meyer go out shopping for groceries admiring the day they're having and wishing both Clemont and Bonnie were here to enjoy the day. As they were walking, they encounter a girl with light dark skin, an Espurr, a group of kids, 2 Skiddo with ribbons (one Skiddo had a blue ribbon while the other had a red) and a Magneton and Magnezone who had scratches on them playing. Meyer says hi to the girl named Emma who Clembot gets curious about.
Clembot assumes that he and Emma are good friends as they both talk about their day and Emma's adventures, but it also appears that Meyer is sad for her for reasons unclear to him, but he also sees a particular Magneton and Magnezone who Emma reveals that they were found on the streets after their trainer was arrested and she decided to catch them to provide a home for them despite the lack of a 'home' for her. Clembot remembers that he, Clemont and his pals fought against someone impersonating Clembot who had those Pokemon although his memory is a bit rusty due to the programming done to restore his memories but he's glad that the Pokemon reformed in some way.
the two Skiddo wave goodbye with their hooves and run off which leaves Emma a bit sad for them, when Clembot asks why, she reveals that the two Skiddo are actually trainerless with the blue ribbon Skiddo having lost their trainer to a heart attack that Skiddo is trying to deny it happened while the 2nd one with the red ribbon was abandoned by their trainer under a false promise and she doesn't want them to be alone so she goes after the Skiddo to check on them. Clembot asks Meyer who Emma is exactly, and Meyer reveals that Emma is a girl who lives on the streets with her Espurr and plays with the children when she's available. Meyer encounters her when he's in the town and offers her lunch and dinners on days where she doesn't have money even becoming good friends with his children.
This leaves Clembot shocked that her parents didn't come for her, and Meyer says that she has none from what he's heard. He says that Emma told him that her father walked out when she was born and her mother passed from an illness and with no known family, she began living on the streets along with her Espurr Mimi, her first Pokemon. Meyer hates seeing her so alone despite her kind smile and wants to provide her with a home where she can be happy and a future ahead of her with maybe even adopting her as part of the Tonnere family.
Clembot encourages him to think about it and decides he want to help the Skiddo too, so he tells Meyer he'll be back. He walks around to find Emma and Mimi playing with the Skiddo and Emma notices Clembot and shyly waves her hand and says hi. Clembot asks if these Skiddo are waiting for something, it takes her aback but Emma nods and they both sit down on the curb to talk about the Skiddo. Emma explains she's worried for these 2 Skiddo, she doesn't want them to be alone, the red ribbon Skiddo keeps trying to search for her trainer to this day while the blue ribbon Skiddo is showing signs that he's starting to accept reality but is trying to shrug it off. She feels some sort of connection to them and just wants them to be safe.
Clembot could tell there was a sense of determination in her eyes, Clembot decides to ask if there's any evidence on the Skiddo that he could use his scanner on to hopefully give closure to the Skiddo surprising Emma but she says it's their ribbons that were given to them by their respective trainers, so Clembot scans them and picks up 2 readings, one from a grave site and another at a house which confirmed Emma's suspicions but decides to stay quiet for now and asks the 3 to follow along starting with the red ribbon Skiddo in which they ask around for whereabouts of this trainer pointing them to a house in the North Boulevard section of Lumiose and upon finding the house, they expect to find a young man living here but it turns out to be an older, kind gentleman who reveals that the previous tenant was arrested for an unspecified crime and is serving time which leaves the Skiddo sad that he never cared for her causing Emma to comfort her.
They then head to the Jaune Plaza graveyard to find out that the person they've been searching for, a man named Mr. Snyder has indeed passed away 2 years prior leaving the blue ribbon Skiddo devastated. As they walk back to their original spot, Clembot could tell that the two Gogoat looked devastated but are trying to keep themselves stable, Clembot remarks maybe he shouldn't have revealed the truth but Emma assures they would've known the truth soon or wanted to know the truth soon, she knows how they feel about loneliness having a father who walked out on her and a mother who died, she connects with the two Skiddo understanding their desire for companionship and to not lose anyone again.
Looking to the blue ribbon Skiddo, he understands the idea of losing someone as Clemont lost Clembot during that Team Flare incident and knows what it's like to feel lonely when no one's around so he decides to ask Skiddo to come with him so he doesn't have to feel alone again surprising Emma as the Skiddo looks on in shock and in tears as he accepts. Inspired by Clembot's courage, Emma decides to ask the same for the red ribbon Skiddo who also accepts. Realizing her circumstances, Clembot asks what Emma would wish for the most, she responds "A warming family."
Both of them decide to walk over to Meyer's home and to Clembot's surprise, he sees Meyer talking with Professor Sycamore and alongside him were two kids around Emma's age, a boy with dark blond hair and a white uniform and a Sylveon and a girl with a similar skin tone to Emma with purple hair and a white uniform along with a Glaceon as the group turns to Clembot waiting for him. Sycamore asks Meyer and Clembot if they could look after two proteges of his for the next month as they settled in and if the two could study under Clembot as part of an internship surprising the two as the two kids introduce themselves as Dexio (blond haired kid) and Sina (purple haired kid).

Cover Story 52: Hau and Friends Bizarre Adventure 5: Decent into Another Universe 2
Last time, an alternative version of Lusamine controlled by Nihelego arrived at Lillie's residence and despite the gang's best efforts, they were unable to save Mohn from the grasps of alternative Lusamine leaving Lillie devastated and feeling ashamed of herself, but the main Lusamine encourages her to keep stable and going and arrives to the scene however, she brings along some particular guests. Another version of Hau, Lillie, Gladion, Ash and Pikachu and Guzma in front of them and Anabel confirms they're from her world.
The gang are left in shock, but Lusamine suggests they go somewhere else due to the mansion's wreckage and somewhere a bit more secure and where Lusamine can call upon the Ultra Guardians one last time. they arrive to Kakui's house where Kakui, Kiawe, Mallow, Lana and Ash's Pokemon are left agape towards another version of Ash, Lillie, etc. Lusamine asks about Sophocles and Lana explains that he'll be there soon, he was stuck guiding a new girl around Hau'oli City and Anabel teases the idea of love before they get to serious business. Main Ash's Pokemon hug this Ash despite not being their trainer in his world making Ash blush.
Lana is filled with anger towards this Guzma because of her battle against him resulting in her Primarina's brutal defeat and Kakui acknowledges this having him and Olivia apologizing to her many times for not stopping the fight but also explaining that's a different Guzma and doesn't want her going down a dark path. Surprisingly, this Guzma does apologize for whatever happened to her which makes main Hau speculate that the alternative versions of these characters with differing personalities and Lillie steps in saying they should have alternative names to not get confused before talking about what happened, Lusamina agrees and assigns names though alternate Gladion refuses her help which leaves Lusamine saddened again but both Lillies convince him otherwise. Burnet suggests the names of:
Lillie - Yuri (alternative Lillie)
Gladion - Gladius (alternative Gladion)
Ash - Ashton (alternative Ash)
Guzma - Guzman (alternative Guzma)
Anabel on the other hand decides to keep her name as the other Anabell of Kanto/Hoenn is not around in Alola. Lusamine, Burnet and Wicke explain that they were investigating an Ultra Wormhole found at the Alter of the Sunne suggesting that this other Lusamine (or Lucy as Burnet suggested) came from this hole but before they could leave, Lunala appeared through the hole and not just any Lunala, a blood red Lunala and out spurted out the alternative versions of everyone and quite literally for Guzman as he was popped out instead of appearing on Lunala and Gladius upon seeing her had a mixture of hatred and worry in his eyes as he sent out his Zoroark intend on trying to attack Lusamine before Lunala stopped the fight.
Lusamine decided to bring them here in order to figure out the next course of action and it's in the ride where Gladius explained they were trying to stop Lucy who became obsessed with this Nebby and Nihelego blinded by the poison and the grief of her missing husband similar to what happened to Lusamine. Lillie connects the pieces explaining that Lucy might be here to take Mohn away from this world to have her husband back even if they're not the right Mohn. Kiawe says they have to hurry to the Sunne, but Wicke reassures them that it's under patrol at the moment with tools needed to subdue Lucy but at the same time though, Lucy might be aware of this and might be searching for another portal at the moment.
Lusamine, Wicke and Burnet will search for a possible portal, so they encounter this Lucy but for the meantime, they want the Guardians to prepare themselves and learn more about the new people here. Hau asks to join along promising not to get in the way and Lillie says that he and his Decidueye saved her from Lucy's attacks at the right moment. Lusamine smiles and accepts giving Garchomp as a ride Pokemon, a Pokemon that Ash had as his ride Pokemon. Hau joins in with Lillie, Mallow, Lana and Kiawe in a team fist bump as Sophocles walks in and upon seeing the weirdness of the situation, he faints comedically.
Later on, while everyone was getting settled in, Lusamine looks on at Yuri and Gladius who're just on the steps of the house, Burnet suggests going to them and she and Wicke will handle stuff for the moment but Lusamine appeared worried because of what she heard from Lillie and doesn't want to upset them but Burnet can see through Lusamine, she knows she's got this causing her to nod and walks over to the kids who panic but Lusamine says she doesn't to fight, she wants to talk but Yuri stays silent while Gladius ignores Lusamine as the woman sighed and sat down.
She acknowledges that something happened in their world involving around her to which Gladius says "clearly" but Yuri scolds him on his coldness. Lusamine asked what she did in their world to hurt them but Gladius looks away, but Yuri stands up and says it clearly, Lucy forced her in outfits resembling Ultra Beasts for the sake of authenticity and was punished for not doing so, she was called ugly, she was undermined by her, everything, it wasn't how she remembered her mother an frankly, Yuri wants to save her but she's full of anger. Yuri asks if Lusamine acted like this and Lusamine bluntly admits that she loved her children during that poisoning and as the poison went on, the more if affected her mentally to the point she said she 'hated everyone' but was saved by Ash and Lillie through their actions.
Yuri accuses her of just saying that to make her feel better, but Lusamine is telling the truth according to the actual Lillie who walks outside to see the commotion, but Yuri is just so full of anger, she wants to shout it out. Lusamine acknowledges this and asks her to shout out her feelings as if she's Lucy and anger causing Yuri to explode saying how much Lucy calls her and Gladius worthless, useless or disobedient for the smallest of things, doesn't dress accordingly, as ugly as a Feebas with no hope of being 'beautiful' or attracting anyone. Yuri then calls Lusamine an emotionless swear word who only messes things up, gets away with her actions, freezes her Pokemon for 'preservation', unfriendly, uncaring, heartless and Yuri raises her fist and Lusamine embraces the punches surprising everyone, but Lusamine softly smiles even in pain as Yuri keeps shouting everything she hates about Lucy before breaking down causing Lusamine to hug her to Yuri's surprise.
Lusamine tells Yuri that even if Lucy can't see it, Lusamine says that Yuri and Gladius are beautiful kids and to not let anyone tell them otherwise, they should be free to choose their lives and not have it decided for them. She also makes it clear that being compared to Feebas isn't some insult to her, a Feebas may consider themselves ugly but it's because that's what they believe or how others have been telling that Feebas in reality, your beautiful no matter how anyone tells you or others because you aren't because even a Feebas can be beautiful if they believe in themselves and their close friends and family and not what anyone else has to say because maybe, they're jealous of her beauty. It's a story that Lusamine's late mother told her and how that's been passed on through generations in her family.
Lusamine brings in Gladius for a hug too and although Gladius doesn't trust her and Yuri is still emotional, Lusamine is going to work hard to prove that she's not the same as Lucy and is going to save her from spiraling out not to excuse her but to face reality no matter how long it takes. Inspired by this, later that day, she brings Hau outside during the evening to ask a favor, to help make her stronger so she doesn't have to feel weak.

Main Story
It was another day in the Paldea Region after a day of rest, the gang are preparing to leave after a hearty breakfast and a discussion of their future plans and it appears Ash, Penny and Nemona are enjoying Arven's breakfast while their Pokemon were also eating breakfast as Torterra practiced with Koraidon and Pikachu practiced with Cyclizar.
"Arven, did you buy some of those herbs and veggies in Artazon because it's making my mouth water in delight." Nemona says as Arven nodded.
"I figured it was necessary for my recipes, helps keep us moving through the day so make sure you finish them, or you won't get anything for the day." Arven says as Ash, Penny and Nemona sighed and slumped.
"Yes dad." all 3 say as Arven nods.
"Good, now let's- wait, did you call me dad?" Arven asked as the 3 shook their heads.
"No." they insisted as Arven sat down with them. Penny appeared to have serious business to talk about.
"I think it's time I have something to say to all of you." Penny says as the other 3 perked up and paid attention. "Who took my brush, I was going to brush Greavard today." Penny says as the other 3 comedically slump down as Floragato brings the brush. "Ahh, thank you Flori." Penny says as Ash decided to continue the conversation.
"Speaking of serious, I guess we should talk about Mela and what you were saying about a plan." Ash asks as Penny perks up.
"Right, I told you the story of Hassel and Mela and so Hassel wants to help out by fixing her artwork and so I was thinking-" Penny kept on talking as we turn our attention to Tinkatink, Morada, Teddiursa and Greavard as the former 3 follow Greavard who sniffed around for something going near a river.
"What are you doing Greavard, I don't think you'll find Levincia by swimming through a lake." Tinkatink says as Greavard shook his head.
"No, I'm trying to find flowers for Penny for taking such good care of me." Greavard says happily as he comedically bumps into a tree.
"I don't think Penny will accept a tree as payment." Morada the H Sneasel says with snark as Teddiursa notices something in the distance.
"Hey, what's that?" Teddiursa says pointing to some sort of cluster of large gray crystals and an entrance in the distance as the 4 look on in awe as they go to check it out. "What is that?" Teddiursa asks as the others shrug.
"It looks like rock candy, how delicious!" Greavard says as Morada face palms.
"It's obviously Tera Crystals, maybe they contain secrets we shouldn't find out, c'mon, let's get back." Morada says as Tinkatink and Greavard were attracted to it and try to reach out to the cave as Morada tried to stop them but before they could fall in, Gogoat jumps in front of them loudly saying her name.
"Stay away from the Tera Den!" Gogoat yelled out as the Pokemon step back catching the gang's attention as they run over to the commotion.
"What's going on here? What's that crystal?" Ash says as Arven realizes the situation.
"Everyone step away from the Tera Den immediately!" Arven says as everyone did as Arven says and went back to the table.
"Arven, what's the matter?" Ash asks as Arven brought out the Violet Book and turned to a page about Tera crystals.
"That crystal you saw is what you call a 'Tera Den' and it's highly dangerous to go in there alone." Arven says as Ash and the gang were confused.
"What's up with a Den?" Nemona asked.
"Tera Dens are home to Terastalized Pokemon and are known to battle those who enter it's Den. No one is sure how this happened, but my dad and mom assume that this phenomenon occurs because of Area Zero's abundance of Tera Crystals that affect the mainland and whenever this happens, it creates these, Dens. Jacq warns us to stay away from these Dens especially black ones and not like a Dark type Den but a Den that contains malice energy." Arven says as the gang were spooked yet intrigued.
"Black Dens with malice?" Penny says as Arven nods.
"Let me put it this way, we often rank these Dens on how dangerous they are. Ranks 1-3 are normal Dens and usually contain not fully evolved Pokemon, 4 is a medium difficult Den but aren't anything too worrying to think about. 5 is where things get hard but again, if you know what you're doing you'll make it through but ranks 6 and 7 is where these Dens appear. They're full of powerful Pokemon waiting to rip you to shreds though you'll always be saved by a beam of light for no reason but it's so scary of a tale that it's highly recommended not to enter despite the rewards." Arven says.
"Rewards?" Ash asked.
"Those who successfully conquer the Den get to catch the Pokemon down there and earn various stuff from gold, artifacts, etc that sells for a high price." Arven says as Nemona and Penny got dollar signs in their eyes but stop upon seeing Arven's serious expression.
"You went down to a Tera Den, didn't you?" Penny asked as Arven nodded.
"Yes. It was around 4 years ago when it happened, it was around when me and mom were watching Koraidon and around a month before they went back to Zero, I was looking for a spot to get away from Koraidon." Arven says remembering back to 4 years ago.
4 years ago
We see Arven, Gogoat and Mabosstiff wandering around a grassy field near Los Platos as Arven looked around to see if no one was following him and breathed a sigh of relief and kept going.
"It's a good thing I placed that sandwich in my backyard, Koraidon will be busy with it and will stop following me like some insistent Growlithe." Arven says as Mabosstiff tilted his head in confusion causing Arven to rub his head and presents his Scarlet and Violet book. "I just needed a place to finish these books, normally I just put aside any gift from dad's, but these books contain so much info about Area Zero and its effects on Paldea that I just had to read these nerdy books, maybe that cave can provide some peace and quiet?" Arven says referring to a bright orange cluster of crystals containing an entrance of sorts, but Gogoat looked uneasy.
"Goat, Gogoat." Gogoat insisted as Arven pat her.
"Relax, it will just be a quick check and if it's safe, we'll stay and read." Arven insisted as he walks to the Den curious as to what it contains, he leans down to feel the 'ground' but his hand phases through and out of panic, he falls in. "AHHHHH!" Arven yells out as both of his Pokemon panic and Mabosstiff jumps in while Gogoat runs off.
Arven lands onto the ground with his back slightly hurt.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! That hurts." Arven says as he gets up to see a bright light in the distance that covered something or someone as Arven got curious but was kind of fearful at the same time. "Whose there?" Arven asked as the light dissipates to reveal a Tera Fire Copperajah that was larger than a regular Copperajah.
"Rajahhh!" Coperajah roared its name causing Arven to be scared and start to tear up.
"Please don't hurt me Copperajah, I didn't mean to intrude." Arven says as Copperajah's launches a Flash Cannon from their trunk aiming towards Arven causing him to cower but before it could land, Mabosstiff launches a Hyper Voice that collides with the Flash Cannon breaking it away.
"Stiff, Mabosstiff!" Mabosstiff yelled out intimidating Copperajah into lowering its attacking power.
"Mabosstiff!" Arven yells out in relief getting up and looking around trying to escape to no avail. "I don't see a way-out buddy, please help me out Mabosstiff." Arven asks as Mabosstiff nods and begins to fight the Copperajah. "Mabosstiff, use Psychic Fangs!" Arven says as Mabosstiff creates a floating pair of pink jaws and rushes towards Copperajah who responds by clashing with Brick Break with Mabosstiff latched on to the Copperderm Pokemon.
"Now stun em with Hyper Voice!" Arven says as Mabosstiff unleashes a mighty screech that stuns the Copperajah as Arven confidently smiles. "Use Jaw Lock!" Arven says as Mabosstiff jumps and creates a glowing pair of black fangs that bites the target before jumping away.
"That's the spirit Mabosstiff! Let's keep going! Use Play Rough!" Arven says as Mabosstiff nods and covers himself in a pink aura before launching himself towards Copperajah who launches a ball into the ground using Earth Power that heads towards Mabosstiff breaking the earth before landing on Mabosstiff who is sent flying towards Arven seriously hurt.
"Mabosstiff!" Arven yells out as Mabosstiff though injured, still tries to get up but before anything else could happen, Copperajah launches a white beam of light towards the 2 but it didn't feel painful, it felt soft like a pillow as the light clears away to show both Arven and Mabosstiff back to normal and Gogoat running back to the group with Sada and Nurse Joy on her back as Sada rushed towards Arven and hugged him.
"Arven, are you ok!? You're not in pain are you!?" Sada said in a panic as Arven didn't know what to say.
"I. I don't know." Arven says in disbelief.
Present day.
"It was then after that laws were put into place that requires schools, businesses and the sort to advise others when it came to these Dens and to never go alone, Jacq always taught us that whenever we have our Treasure Hunts." Arven says.
"So that's why you wanted us to go in there." Ash says as Arven nods but shakes it off.
"It's when I decided to read the rest of those books to learn about the Dens and learn about what to do if trapped in one. But that was a long time ago, I'm with you guys so if we were to get into one of these wholes, I can guide you through and we don't have to get hurt. I think it's best that we get going!" Arven says insistently as he stood up as the others worried for him but they also prepared to get going with the gang returning their Pokemon but it seems like Team Rocket are watching the group and they all had dollar signs in their eyes.
"Treasure!?" James says with glee.
"Terastalized Pokemon!?" Jessie also says in glee as an idea pops up in Meowth's head.
"I just have an idea of how we might be able to capture the twerp's Pikachu." Meowth says as the other two listen in, "That cave in supposed to be dark and desolate right? What if we trap the twerps down there with Pikachu not with them and that's when we capture Pikachu and by the time they get out, we would be gone and have captured the twerp's Pikachu." Meowth says as the two claps.
"Meowth, that's genius!" James says as Meowth scoffs.
"I'm always one step ahead." Meowth says.
We see the gang walking down the road towards placed unknown as Ash and Pikachu admired the scenery on Koraidon while the others decided to walk, everything was quiet and serene but then the gang stopped upon seeing some orange cones and a sign.
"Road closed up ahead, please walk to the side until further notice." Penny says as the gang look to the left to see the signs and stops continued on the left but not on the right where there was a gray Tera Den.
"Alright, let's just be careful around that Den." Arven says as the gang nod and they began to walk to the right in hopes of avoiding the Den but Floragato senses something behind her and activates her Shadow Claw towards that incoming object.
"FLORAGATO!" Floragato yells out slicing the object towards him being a net catching the gang's attention as they turn around.
"What is it Floragato?" Penny asked as Floragato points to shadowy figures in the distance causing Ash to grit his teeth.
"Do I even need to say who's there?" Ash says as snickering were heard as TR reveal themselves.
"No, you don't, that's the fun part." Jessie says.
"It's all about the surprise." James says.
"To protect the world from devastation." Jessie says.
"To unite all people within our nation." James continues.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love." Jessie continues but as she was talking, a heard of Paldean Combat Breed Tauros noticed them and prepared to rush at them.
"To reach to the star ab-OUCHHHH!" James yells out along with Jessie and Meowth as they were hit by Tauros's Double Edge and are sent flying towards the group sending them flying towards the Den and falling in.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" everyone says as the fall into the Den where a white light covered what was up ahead as Arven knew it too well.
"Everyone, stand up and send your Pokemon, we have a Pokemon ahead of us!" Arven says as everyone including TR get up as the white light dissipates to reveal a Steel Tera Garganacl indicated by the axe on its head as they growl their name.
"Wait a minute, where are Pikachu and Koraidon?" Ash said worryingly.
"Floragato too." Penny said worried.
"Pawmo dear?" Nemona also said worried.
"Arven, you may have to guide us through this one!" Ash says as Arven appeared nervous but nods.
"It's a Garganacl with the Steel Tera typing! Everyone together and send out one of your Pokemon for battle, we need teamwork in order to defeat Garganacl or at least last a while before we leave. You too Team Ro-" Arven didn't finish as Meowth brings out a large machine with a large hand.
"Nah, we'll do things our way. Meowth!" Jessie says as Meowth launches the hand towards Garganacl who grabs it surprising the trio before launching a Flash Cannon towards them sending them flying out of the Den.
"We'll be back!" the trio say as the disappear out of the Den with a twinkle.
"Oh no, our Pokemon!" Nemona says as Ash shakes their head.
"To be honest, I feel like they would be at a disadvantage against them." Ash says.
We see the trio pop out of the Den relieved to be free and they hug each other.
"Your alive!" all 3 say hugging each other.
"Pi, Ka." Pikachu says as the 3 turn to the angry 4 Pokemon left outside the Den as the 3 nervously smile and gulped.
"Hey there, we're sorry that we put your trainers in there, but it was an accident, right?" James asks as Pikachu snaps his fingers and Koraidon launched themselves at TR with Close Combat sending them flying in the air once more.
"Twice in a ROW!" TR yelled out disappearing in the sky with a twinkle.
"Now then send out your Pokemon quickly!" Arven says throwing out his Pokeball releasing Morada as the others nod with Ash sending out Quaxwell, Penny sending out Greavard and Nemona sending out Crocalor as Arven nods. "Good, just be careful, Garganacl is a Rock type originally so beware of their moves." Arven says as the gang nod and they call out their attacks.
"Quaxwell use Aqua Jet!" Ash says as Quaxwell launches himself towards Garganacl in a watery veil as Garganacl blocked the attack with his right arm.
"Now Bite!" Penny says as Greavard jumps and creates a floating pair of jaws that latches onto Garganacl's left arm leaving him defenseless as Nemona and Arven appear to have an idea.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Arven asks as Nemona nods.
"Yeah, another episode of food fails around the world?" Nemona asks as Arven shook his head.
"Maybe later." Arven says as he whispers into Nemona's ear, and she nods.
"Ash, Penny, back them off a bit, we're coming!" Nemona says as they both nod.
"Quaxwell, Low Sweep!" Ash says as Quaxwell's legs glow and strikes Garganacl's legs.
"Greavard, Mud Shot!" Penny says as Greavard launches a sludge of mud towards Garganacl's head causing him to be annoyed.
"Now Morada, Brick Break! Ash, some assistance." Arven says as Ash nods as Morada rushes towards Garganacl with a glowing right claw as Ash called out his next attack.
"Join Morada and use Liquidation!" Ash says as Quaxwell nods and water flows throughout Quaxwell's arms sharpening up and jumps in the air with the Sharp Claw Pokemon to strike the Rock Salt Pokemon with much damage as they both smirk, but Garganacl appeared angry with the eyes turning red and releasing a dust like substance that strikes both of them sending them back appearing unharmed... at least at first.
"Penny, let's join together in attacks. Use Flamethrower!" Nemona says as Crocalor launches a breath of flames towards Garganacl and Penny nods.
"Shadow Ball Greavard!" Penny says as Greavard launches Shadow Ball with Flamethrower pushing the Shadow Ball towards Garganacl making the attacks a bit powerful when combined.
"Yes!" both Penny and Nemona say but Morada and Quaxwell appear to be hurting from that saltlike substance as the wheeze in pain especially Quaxwell who looked especially hurt.
"Morada!/Quaxwell!" both Arven and Ash yell out as Arven brought out his Rotom phone to scan the effect. "It's Salt Cure! It's a Rock move that hurts the user for a while, it has a great effect on Water and Steel types." Arven says causing Ash to worry.
"Can you go on Quaxwell?" Ash asks as Quaxwell gets up gritting his teeth but nodding. It seems Garganacl looked furious enough to create a sort of barrier surrounding the Pokemon as Arven took note of this.
"It's a barrier of sorts, a Pokemon will take reduced damage from hits, you'll need to Terastalize your Pokemon to get through those barriers and do more damage." Arven says as the others nod and bring out their Tera Orbs to Terastalize their Pokemon with Morada having a Fighting Tera Type, Quaxwell into his Water Tera, Greavard is a Ghost Tera and Crocalor turns into a Fire Tera type. Garganacl stomped on the ground angrily using Stomping Tantrum releasing ground splinters towards the group as Ash called his attack.
"Quaxwell, Rapid Spin to deflect the splinters!" Ash says as Quaxwell nods and spins rapidly to deflect the attack with one of the splinters rushing at Garganacl who blocks it with Ice Punch allowing the others to try to strike through.
"Morada, Brick Break!" Arven says as Morada nods and her Tera Hat glows and rushes towards Garganacl with her glowing claw and chops Garganacl through the barrier damaging him with Garganacl preparing to punch her with Ice Punch. "Jump away!" Arven says as Morada jumps away and Nemona and Penny call out their attacks.
"Greavard Shadow Ball!" Penny says as Greavard jumps in the air and his Tera Hat glows as he unleashes Shadow Ball.
"Snarl Crocalor!" Nemona says as Crocalor releases a dark beam of energy towards the shadow ball which strikes through Garganacl's barrier and breaks it stunning Garganacl as Arven sees a chance.
"The barrier's broken, we need one last push to defeat Garganacl so give it your all!" Arven says as the gang nod and prepare for their final push to victory as Garganacl rushes towards the group with Ice Punch as Arven calls out his move, "Brick Break!" Arven yells out as Morada rushes towards Garganacl and clashes with Garganacl's fist as Ash called on his move.
"Now Liquidation!" Ash says as Quaxwell despite feeling hurt from Salt Cure kept going and water formed around Quaxwell's legs creating a watery blade as he striked at Garganacl and Morada pushed away Garganacl's fist and struck him.
"Now Mud Shot!" Penny says as Greavard launches a sludge of mud towards Garganacl.
"Flamethrower!" Nemona says as Crocalor launches a breath of flames towards Garganacl and both Morada and Quaxwell jumped away as the attacks landed as Garganacl's Tera hat starts to crack apart before eventually disappearing dizzying the Garganacl leaving the gang anxious.
"Did we?" Nemona asks as Arven nods.
"I think so." Arven said as the gang breathed a sigh of relief but still noticed it dazed.
"What's Garganacl doing?" Ash asks as Penny speculates.
"I think it's an opportunity to catch Garganacl before they disappear, who wants to catch him?" Penny asks.
"I think Arven should catch Garganacl." Ash suggested surprising Arven.
"Really, I thought you would catch Garganacl, they look powerful." Arven says.
"You deserve to, you helped us make it through this battle through your tips and suggestions." Ash says as Nemona agrees.
"Yeah, if anyone should catch them, it's you!" Nemona said happily as Arven smiles and grabs a Great Ball.
"Alright, then Garganacl, welcome aboard!" Arven says as the ball glows and Arven throws it far which surrounds the Garganacl in a light going into the ball which shakes and sparkles confirming their capture but at the same time, a light surrounds the group before disappearing showing them back to the real world as Arven was left astonished.
I won my first Tera Den, and no one got hurt because of me. Was it my skills that got them out of a jam or were we lucky? Arven thought to himself as he looked to his friends who reunited with their Pokemon and smiled. He felt something underneath his leg being his Great Ball containing Garganacl along with several treasures including various colored shards, pearls, nuggets and star pieces but also some small crystal shards of varying colors mainly gray, a dark blue, a light blue and 1 red.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch!" Nemona says getting the gang's attention.
"What's up Nemona?" Penny asks.
"I felt something sharp hit my Mudbray." Nemona says confusing Ash.
"You have a Mudbray?" Ash asks as Nemona sighed.
"Not that type of Mudbray. It's this strange crystal here." Nemona says holding a light brown shard as Arven realizes what they are and grabs some sort of holding case from his bag containing similar crystals.
"I know what they are. Those are Tera Shards!" Arven says getting the gang's attention.
"Tera Shards?" Ash asked.
"They're shards found throughout the Paldea Region, they seem like collector's items but in actuality, they can be used to change a Pokemon's Tera Type." Arven says surprising and intriguing the group.
"So, you eat the crystals themselves?" Nemona asks as Arven shook his head.
"Don't do that. Instead, it was something discovered by a good friend of my mom and dad's named Madame Petunia, a chef and owner of the restaurant of Treasure Eatery. The art of her Tera Shard cooking is so exclusive that she only taught those who were worthy of continuing her cooking and not even my parents know despite her being with them as part of their research group, she's stubborn let's say and yet she's cool." Arven says.
"Cool?" Penny asks.
"You won't know it at first, her aura gives off a menacing vibe but when you see her in battle or just in general, that's how you'll know. I want to know so much from her, she often wanders Paldea for recipes so I might want to ask her to teach me or at least let our Pokemon have a taste of her cooking." Arven says.
"And what if she doesn't?" Penny asked as Arven felt unsure.
"I'm sure she won't turn away someone like me, my parents know her, and she's known me since I was a kid why wouldn't she?" Arven says as Nemona's mind went off about something.
"Speaking of Pokemon, didn't you catch Garganacl?" Nemona asks as Arven nods and holds out his Great Ball.
"You're right, Garganacl, come on out!" Arven says releasing Garganacl and Arven gets up putting a smile onto his face as he walks over to Garganacl alongside Morada holding out their hands. "Hey there Garganacl, I know we got off to a wrong start but I'm happy to welcome you to the-" Arven didn't finish as Garganacl walked away looking towards the ocean horizon in the distance as Arven got cold feet. Arven goes over to talk to Garganacl once more, but the Pokemon turned to the right ignoring Arven causing him to comedically slump down in disappointment as the gang watched on.
"Ouch, that's pretty cold." Nemona says.
"Maybe he's just in his disobedient phase. Ash, you said you have a Charizard that acted disobedient too, right?" Penny asks as Ash nods.
"Yes but he only acted that way after evolving into Charmeleon and then Charizard so it's more of evolution but for Garganacl, I'm not particularly sure." Ash says as the 3 notice the treasure and picked them up as Ash looked to Arven. "Are you ok Arven?" Ash asked as Arven shrugged.
"I don't know, what am I doing wrong?" Arven asks as Ash pats him on the back.
"Maybe he just needs to spend some time within the group. Maybe have him and the rest of the team out, taking walks is a good way of bonding and Garganacl can learn about the team along the way." Ash suggested as Arven nods.
"That could work, come on out Appy and Gogoat!" Arven says s his Pokeballs release Gogoat and Appy the Applin who were cheering their names. Penny walks over to Ash and Arven holding out her Rotom phone.
"There's a good shop in the Village of Arrows where we could sell these valuables, that should be enough time for you and Garganacl to get along." Penny suggested as Arven nods.
"Yeah, I guess that could work hopefully." Arven says reluctantly as Garganacl continued to ignore him and they decided to continue the journey. We see TR in the distance from a bush still injured from their attacks.
"Those dang Pokemon gave us a good beating, maybe we should give up for today?" Meowth suggested as Jessie ignored him and focused on Ash's group and both James and Jessie recognize that look in their eyes.
"Oh no, I know that look." James says worried.
"Those Tera Shards were pretty and would make a great part of our collection!" Jessie says.
"Didn't we try that already?" Meowth asks.
"That was with Glimmora and the Tera Orbs, this time it's different, if we take a huge number of shards to ourselves, we can sell em off for ourselves. James, tell me there's a good spot for these Shards!" Jessie demands as James grabs Rotom Phone and looks it up and his eyes sparkle.
"Ah ha! there's a huge deposit of them in the middle of Arrows, it's one of two mining towns in that area from long ago along with Oresville and that village is a spot for these Sha- wait, you might want to recon-" James tries to inform Jessie but sees that she's run off with Oinkolgne causing James and Meowth to face palm and run after her.
We see the gang walking down the road to town as Arven observes Garganacl who walked along with the group as Garganacl stops and sees that Appy is trying to catch up with the group as Appy appeared tired. Garganacl leaned down on his knee, but Arven was worried that he was going to attack.
"Wit Garga-" Arven stops upon seeing Appy a bit scared of Garganacl but Appy could tell that Garganacl wasn't trying to hurt him and so he jumps onto Gargnacl's hands and Garganacl lifts his arms up to his ledges to let Appy hang out for a ride and get a view.
"Applin!" Appy says happily.
"Garga!" Garganacl said and although Arven couldn't tell Garganacl's expression, his sounds were positive and friendly sounding.
Is Garganacl friendly towards others, except me? I hear Garganacl are not actually intimidating but other than Ms. Tyme's Garganacl, I never seen a Garganacl in action before. Arven thought to himself as they kept walking noticing Garganacl's calm demeanor. As they were walking, Penny falls to the ground and grunted in pain catching everyone's attention.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" Penny says as the gang rush to her aide.
"What happened?" Nemona asked.
"I think I twisted my ankle or something, it hurts so bad! I have some medical supplies in my bag that could help." Penny says as they panic.
"I think I might also have some spray in my bag." Arven says but before he checks, he sees Garganacl walks towards Penny and leans down to create salt dust effect that worries Arven. "Don't you dare hurt Penny with Salt C-" Arven stops to see that Garganacl was applying the salt to Penny's leg as Penny didn't appear hurt from the 'attack' and actually softly smiled.
"Thank you Garganacl, your salt is helping right now soothe the pain. I still need some ice and spray but it did really help." Penny says sending out Glaceon, "Glaceon, create a small piece of ice for my wound please." Penny says as Glaceon creates Ice Shard and Penny applies it to the wound as Penny smiled and rubbed Glaceon's head. "Thank you, girl." Penny says.
"Glace." Glaceon says as Garganacl gets up and looks to Arven who looked bad for what he said.
"I thought- I thought you were going to-" Arven says as Garganacl's eyes turn red and walks away from him. "I didn't mean to accuse like that." Arven says feeling bad for Garganacl as he looked to Rotom Phone for info.
Garganacl likes to heal people with salt, now I feel like a jerk. Arven says slumping his head down.
We see the gang rest to the side with the hopes Penny's wound can heal by the next hour with Mabosstiff resting, Nemona trained with her Pokemon and Penny was on her phone with Floragato and Vaporean, we see Ash, his Torterra standing across Arven and Garganacl preparing for a battle.
"So, you wanted to have a battle?" Ash asked as Arven nods.
"I figured this might help me connect with Garganacl a bit more, are you up to it?" Arven asked as Ash nodded.
"Definitely." Ash affirmed as Arven nodded.
"Alright Garganacl, let's work together. Use Ice Punch!" Arven says but Garganacl ignores him and uses Stomping Tantrum launching several splinters towards Torterra as Arven pinched his head together.
"Torterra dodge using Trailblaze!" Ash says as Torterra nods and covers himself in a grassy veil dashing out of the way of the attack as Garganacl focused on his surroundings as Torterra dashed around him.
"Alright, there must've been a miscommunication for what I said, use Stomping Tantrum!" Arven says confidently as Garganacl instead rushes in with Ice Punch as Arven was left agape.
"Torterra, use Stone Edge!" Ash says as Torterra stomps on the ground releasing large stones that came from the ground and was launched towards Garganacl's direction.
"Punch them out of the way!" Arven says as Garganacl punched an oncoming Stone Edge surprising Arven as Garganacl listened for once, "That's the spirit Garganacl, now use Salt Cure!" Arven says as Garganacl instead launched Flash Cannon through the stones disappointing the chef.
"Use Leaf Storm!" Ash says as Torterra nods and turns to the side as his tree glows and releases a swirling tornado of leaves clashing with Flash Cannon which quickly explodes into smoke leaving Ash an opportunity to attack.
"Trailblaze!" Ash says as Torterra rushes through the smoke and tackles Garganacl who steps back after that large hit.
"Garganacl!" Arven says as Garganacl shrugs it off.
"Nacl!" Garganacl says as Arven breathes a sigh of relief.
"Now it's time to finish things, Ice Punch!" Arven says as Garganacl actually responds and covers his fist in ice preparing to use Ice Punch giving some hope to Arven as Garganacl rushes in.
"Headlong Rush!" Ash says as Torterra covers himself in a brown aura and rushes towards the Rock Salt Pokemon with massive power leaving Nemona curious.
"Headlong Rush?" Nemona asked as Penny uses her Rotom Phone.
"It's a Ground type move, the user rushes in tackling the opponent but it has a drawback of lowering one's defensive power." Penny informed as the two Pokemon clash with one another trying to win the struggle as smoke appears leaving both trainers anxious as they see their Pokemon hope out of the struggle to see they were damaged but not too much as they breathed heavily as both Ash and Arven looked satisified.
"I think, I've gotten enough battle experience for now, what do you say Garganacl?" Arven asks as Garganacl ignores him causing Arven to worry when the large Pokemon walks over to Torterra. "Wait Garga-" Arven stops upon seeing Garganacl and Torterra trying to shake hands but not only was Garganacl too tall, Torterra was quadruped and shorter than the Rock Salt Pokemon to shake his hand so instead, Torterra bumps into Garganacl's hand as an alternative to handshaking.
"Look at that, it seems like they became fast friends already." Ash says happily as Arven softly smiled.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Arven says feeling relieved as Penny moved her injured leg and felt fine.
"I think my leg feels fine, a bit sore but I think I'm able to go." Penny says as the others nod, and Ash sends out Cyclizar and sets some gear onto him.
"Cyclizar, be careful carrying her, ok?" Ash asks as Cyclizar nods and Penny waited for her someone to lift her up.
"Could you help carry a fair maiden like me, my prince." Penny says waiting for her 'prince' as Nemona helps her up causing Penny to look disappointed. "You're not my prince." Penny says as Nemona casually smiles.
"Your right, I'm a princess." Nemona said unaware of what Penny was talking about as Nemona helped her on Cyclizar and everyone packed up their things. As they were doing so, Garganacl notices Mabosstiff, one of Arven's Pokemon as Arven takes notice.
"Oh, that's Mabosstiff, I'm sure he would love to see you but he's a bit tired today... actually, he's kind of tired all the time, he's not doing his best and I'm worried for him, but I'll find him a cure, I can tell you that." Arven says trying to stay confident as Garganacl walks over to Mabosstiff and kneels down releasing salt particles onto Mabosstiff trying to heal him, but it seems it had no affect.
"Garga." Garganacl said sadly putting his head down as Arven looks to Garganacl in surprise over his kindness to help Mabosstiff despite the end result not working.
Garganacl, you do really care do you? Maybe there is some gold hidden in that rocky heart. Arven thought to himself as he walked over to Garganacl to pat him on the arm. "Garganacl, thank you. I know you were trying to help Mabosstiff and I do appreciate it. But Mabosstiff's illness is, well, I don't know how to put it, but I do know this, I may not be the best trainer but I'm not going to give up on Mabosstiff, I'm going to save him even if it means my life is gone." Arven says with confidence as Garganacl looked on at Arven inspired by him and nods.
We see the gang arrive to the Village of Arrows, which was a small town, a town where trainers can pass by and get supplies for the road. We see the gang arrive to a shop resembling an antique shop as Arven gives Ash his treasures.
"Are you sure you don't want to come in? It's pretty cool and fresh in there." Ash says as Arven shook his head.
"Nah, I need some time to talk to Garganacl, I want to learn more about him personally so go ahead and sell my half for me please." Arven says as Ash nods and Penny snickers.
"Alright, let me show you guys my bargaining skills." Penny says as the gang sans Arven walk inside leaving him,, Morrada and Garganacl alone. Arven, Morada and Garganacl began to walk around the town as Garganacl got curious to the boy's intentions.
"Look Garganacl, I know we got off at the wrong start earlier and I apologize. We spooked you while in your Den and I caught you without your permission so please accept my apology for what I've done." Arven says bowing to Gargnacl who looked on unsure of what to say.
"Garga?" Garganacl asks as Arven looks up and sighs.
"And, I realized that the reason why you've been acting this way..." Arven says as Garganacl looked on in anticipation, "You haven't had lunch yet and I deeply apologize!" Arven says as Garganacl and several bystanders face palm for Arven's choice of words.
"Sneas, Sneas!" Morada says as Arven sighs.
Think harder, think harder. Arven thought to himself as he realizes the truth once again, "Let me start over. I know the actual reason you're acting this way. Whenever I see Ash, Nemona and Penny with their Pokemon, they always get along closely with one another and in battle, they're always close and know what to do, they're trainers who's Pokemon listen to them because their trainers are competent and it got me realizing, that I'm not confident as them, skillful as them or as interactive as them. The reason you're acting like this is because of my incompetence in everything I do as a trainer, I know you want to be caught by a strong trainer who you can get along with, someone more focused and so I ask, do you want to be relea-" Arven didn't finish as the 3 heard a boom in the distance causing them to go over to check it out.
We see Arven and his Pokemon running towards the scene where we see TR on top of a giant drill drilling for whatever Tera Shards they could find along with wearing special headphones.
"Team Rocket! What are you doing this time, stop this immediately and why do you have weird looking headphones!?" Arven says as Jessie snickers.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't a twerp. These headphone things allow us to hear your nonsense too bad we can't filter that. Where are your friends?" Jessie says as Arven was about to open his mouth but Jessie interrupts, "Ehh, doesn't matter, your powerless to stop us from achieving our goals!" Jessie says as Arven gritted his teeth.
"And what would that be?" Arven asks as she snickers once more.
"We get rich off of our mining efforts for Tera Shards baby!" Jessie says as Arven struggles not to laugh catching TR's attention.
"What's so funny twerp!?" Meowth says as Arven laughed.
"You do know those Shards won't sell you much, they were so common back when they started appearing that the market for them started to dwindle to the point they have very little selling value." Arven says as Jessie's mouth was left agape as James sighed.
"I tried telling ya." James says as Jessie looked at James like a demon in the night causing both James and Meowth to flinch.
"Well, we came too far now, we'll keep digging for whatever's in here pronto!" Jessie says as James and Meowth flinched.
"Yes mam!" both James and Meowth says as Meowth presses a button to make the drill go faster.
"We won't let you! Morada Brick Break!" Arven says as Morada nods and jumps in the air prepared to fight the drill by chopping it but to no avail other than a dent. "Dang! the drill is too sturdy. Gogoat, come on out and use High Horsepower!" Arven says as he sends out Gogoat who tries to ram into the drill which created another dent and broke off a screw to some vent thing as TR noticed.
"Hey, don't mess with our stuff! Oinkologne, give em some pain!" Jessie says as she sends out Oinkologne who was ready for battle.
"You too Grafaiai! Prevent them from reaching the machine!" James says throwing out Grafaiai who was also ready for battle.
"Sickle hair's Lechonk evolved." Arven says scanning Oinkologne
Oinkologne (Female), the Hog Pokemon and the evolved form of Lechonk, This Pokémon sends a flowerlike scent wafting about. Well-developed muscles in its legs allow it to leap more than 16 feet with no trouble at all.
"Dosen't matter, we'll break through no matter what, Morada, Brick Break on Oinkologne and Energy Ball Gogoat on Grafaiai!" Arven says as Morada nods and rushes towards the Hog Pokemon while Gogoat launches a ball of energy towards Grafaiai.
"Grafaiai, counter with Tera Blast!" James says as Grafaiai launches a white light towards the Energy Ball covering the area with smoke.
"Now Oinkologne, Chilling Water!" Jessie says as Oinkologne launches a large spurt of water towards Morada who freezes up allowing Jessie another opportunity to attack. "Diarming Voice!" Jessie says as Oinkologne releases 2 music notes towards both Morada and Gogoat who were sent back from the attack.
"Gogoat! Morada!" Arven says as Jessie laughs.
"Your nothing without your fellow twerps so just do us a favor and give up and let the big kids handle this." Jessie remarked causing Arven to feel weakened by that remark.
"Big kids handle this?" Arven says and falls to the ground feeling defeated as Garganacl and Morada noticed this.
"Sneasel!" Morada says encouragingly catching Arven's attention.
Is Morada, encouraging me? Garganacl and Gogoat are looking at me with determination too and I bet Appy is doing the same in his Pokeball but I'm nothing like everyone els-
"Mabosstiff!" Arven heard in his head calling out to him, as Arven's eyes widen in realization and stands up.
"Your right, I'm not them but I don't have to be, I worked hard to get to where I am now, I want to save Mabosstiff and I can't just give up here! I'm not like Ash with bis battle prowess and strategy, Nemona and her skillfulness nor Penny and her... and her? Encouragement or smartness but I don't have to be. I'm not giving up here!" Arven says as Morada and Gogoat smile while Garganacl nods. Arven notices something about the dent within the machine and starts forming ideas around it.
"Morada, Gogoat, I need you to focus on fighting Oinkologne and Grafaiai, I think I have an idea and need Garganacl's help to do so." Arven says as his Pokemon nod and focus on TR's Pokemon while Arven talks with Garganacl.
"Alright, I have an idea, when Gogoat and Morada attacked the drill, some dents were made but also there's a vent within the machine. Salt Cure can effect Steel and Water types for greater damage right?" Arven asks as Garganacl nods. "Well, can it effect actual metal?" Arven asks as Garganacl nods.
"Alright, I want you to use Salt Cure on that vent cover to erode the steel and then we'll launch an attack on the inside. How does that sound?" Arven asks as Garganacl's eyes sparkle in acknowledgement and nods. "Good, Gogoat, Morada dodge! Garganacl use Salt Cure!" Arven says as Garganacl launches a series of salt particles towards the drill catching TR's Pokemon off guard as they were also affected by the move and so was the drill.
"What the- are you making it snow at this time of month?! No matter, Headbutt!" Jessie says as Oinkologne was preparing to attack.
"You too, use Slash!" James says as Grafaiai prepared to attack but the Salt Cure takes in its effect and starts to damage the Pokemon stopping them in their place as the metal started to erode and erase leaving the vent open and exposed for an attack and leaving TR confused.
"Hey! Why aren't you guys moving!? Is it the snow!?" Jessie says as Meowth shakes his head and looks to his tablet.
"No, it's Salt Cure, it's a move that affects the Pokemon greatly especially on Water and Steel types." Meowth says.
"Well, they can rub the salt off themselves, it's not like they're steel- wait, this machine is made out of-" Jessie didn't finish as the 3 gulp in fear as Wobbuffet came out of his Pokeball.
"Buffet?" Wobuffet asks as the 3 nod.
"Oh no." they say as Arven smirks.
"Stomping Tantrum!" Arven says as Garganacl stomps on the ground releasing a stone shard towards the drill which stops the drill's functions and caused the 3 and their Pokemon to panic.
"Oh crud!" Jessie and Meowth say but James isn't giving up.
"Not yet we aren't, Metronome my bottlecap buddy!" James says as Grafaiai shakes his fingers and launches a Shadow Ball towards Arven which takes him off guard and causes Morada to run towards him but before it could land, Garganacl takes the hit but seems to feel unhurt by the attack as Arven looked on.
"Garganacl, you protected me." Arven says as Garganacl nods as Arven looks in his Dex to see the Ability Purifying Salt, "That's why you're unhurt, Purifying Salt prevents status and reduces the power of Ghost type moves which means." Arven's calm smile turns into a smirk as TR's Pokemon jump back to their trainers in worry as he sends out his Tera Orb.
"Ready Garganacl!?" Arven asks as Garganacl nods, "Then let's go!" Arven says throwing the orb Terastalizing Garganacl into a Steel type ready for battle as the TR quadrio panicked as Arven called on his move.
"Use Flash Cannon!" Arven says as Garganacl nodded and creates a ball of metallic energy, but it seems to be absorbed into Garganacl as his head glows along with the Tera hat as he rushes towards TR. "That's Iron Head! You can do it Garganacl!" Arven says as Garganacl slams into TR creating a puff of smoke and we see TR flying in the air.
"So genius, what's next?" Meowth asks Jessie as she yawns.
"Right now, I'm going to take a nap." Jessie says.
"In the air!?" James says as they disappear in the sky with a twinkle. We see Ash, Nemona and Penny rushing towards the scene where they see the mess at the middle of town.
"Arven, are you ok we heard an explosion!?" Ash says as Arven puts a thumbs up and smiles confidently.
"Yep, me and Garganacl were just getting some bonding done!" Arven says as he talks with his friends meanwhile, an older woman with a black chef hat with ties on the back, a large backpack, sunglasses and a mechanical left arm looks on with her Mudsdale next to her.
"Dale?" Mudsdale asks her trainer as she sighs.
"Yep, that's Turo and Sada's kid alright. I hope he's not following in their footsteps." the woman said with a gruff voice finishing her red lollipop and walked off looking at a map.
We see Arven, Morada and the gang on the outskirts of town where Arven is talking with Garganacl about something important, but it seems the others were concerned.
"Does Arven want to do this?" Nemona asks as Ash shrugs.
"I don't know but that's up to Arven and if Garganacl really wants to." Ash says as they watch the conversation.
"Garganacl, as I was saying earlier, I know that I'm not like Ash when it comes to battling nor am I like Nemona when it comes to skills nor am I Penny when it comes to talking with my Pokemon. I'm just me, I know that you only acted this way because I'm not that strong of a trainer and I don't blame you for acting like this. That's why I want to say, I want you to find a trainer better than me, I'm sure they're better at everything compared to me." Arven says as he turns his back against Garganacl and walks away leaving Garganacl conflicted.
"Arven, are you sure?" Nemona asks as Arven softly smiles and nods.
"I'm sure, I'm not that strong of a trainer and I'm sure that's what Garganacl desires." Arven says as Ash smirks.
"Then why is Garganacl behind you?" Ash says as Arven turns around to see Garganacl following him leaving him astonished.
"Garganacl, but why?" Arven asks as Garganacl touches Arven's Great Ball in his hand but Arven doesn't make the connection right away but Penny does.
"Arven, he's trying to say that he'll stay with you." Penny says surprising Arven.
"But aren't I-" Arven didn't finish as Ash stepped in.
"I'm sure Garganacl's aware of this and yes, he did act that way, but he just needed some time with the team to get his impressions in and though some Pokemon do have preferences, Garganacl trusts you after what happened earlier, he knows you'll do well. At least, that's my guess." Ash says as Arven's eyes sparkle in shock.
"So, you'll stay?" Arven says as Garganacl nods causing Arven to smile and Morada to encourage him as Arven nods. "Alright, welcome aboard once again!" Arven says as he fist bumps Garganacl who goes into the Great Ball and Arven smiles towards the distance as he's caught a new Pokemon and made a new friend along the way even if it's going to take time for Arven to fully train Garganacl.

Phew, sorry for the wait, it was a slow month for me trying to write the side story chapters, so I decided to write the next 3 chapters (41-43) at the moment, so you guys won't feel bored. I'm currently working on the side story battles (Nemona vs Sarah and Ash vs Kieran) right now but also planning the next chapter of the story which will be major being the Schedar Team Star raid and its emotional conclusion along with plans towards Ash's first and long-awaited Elite Four fight against Poppy so please be patient for the time being.

Age: 43 (she looks younger than that due to exercising and a healthy diet, so she laughs if someone assumes she's in her 20's or 30's because of her appearance)
Home: Levincia, Paldea (has Galarian heritage on her father's side)
Description: A professor who studies the past and is the mother of Arven and the ex-wife of Turo, she raised Arven alone in her home but gets so busy that she doesn't have time for Arven, but she does love him and so when Mabosstiff fell ill and Arven said he hated her, she felt so horrible that she spent days and weeks searching for a cure for him. Her energetic, eccentric attitude are part of her style though it also acts as a way to not break apart due to Arven's hate in her initially.
She met her husband while both were employees of Harold's restaurant before becoming Clavell's assistants going down to Area Zero 26 years prior before dating and eventually marrying. She was pregnant with Arven while in Area Zero before giving birth to him while in Area Zero raising him there for a while before leaving and divorcing Turo for his obsession with a time machine they created whose accident caused a good friend of theirs to get hurt and Turo became obsessed with fixing it (and unbeknownst to her, has an obsession with Terapagos) so he can open a portal to other points in time.
Despite divorcing him, she does care for him and only wants Turo to return to his senses and be there for Arven. She often goofs off when she's bored.

Her first Pokemon, she acts as Sada's assistant.

Roaring Moon (Genderless, Dragon/Dark, TT: Dark, Protosynthesis)
Her only known Paradox Pokemon, it resembles Mega Salamence. she caught them in Area Zero to test them on their abilities and if they can adapt to Paldea, it took 5 years but it ended up being a success but she doesn't want many people knowing she has a Paradox, so she only uses them in emergencies.
