Here we are for the next chapter! We've officially begun pre season 1! Whoop! Also just heard that TWD is ending :( season 11 is the final season. No! But it's time I guess, also I'll be getting into Fear TWD soon, I watched the trailer and it looks insane. I've only watched up to season 3 so I will be catching up with that. I think if I'm planning this right, I have a whole new storyline even after the show ends (if they're doing it similar to the comics), it's still currently in the works though! Also updates will be slow since college is opening back up so my schedule will be a bit of a mess and my updates will be low. Well, let's get started shall we?

Disclaimer I don't own TWD only my ocs and plotlines (also some plotlines that weren't used in the show will be on here so they aren't mine)

Callie's POV

It has been roughly two weeks since the bombs, from what I could tell anyway, all the days have been mashed together.

Before there was noise, a lot of it, you could hear the cars, planes, neighbours arguing but now it's just an eerily silence, you can only hear nature. I break out of my thoughts when I notice a young man packing up a truck. He's going out. Maybe I might be able to help him get more supplies?

I walk up to him. "Hey, Glenn is it?" He whips around, a bit startled before his eyes fall on me and he composes himself.

"Uh.. yeah, that's... that's me. Glenn."

I grin at his awkwardness. He's definitely like me when I was his age that's for sure. "Can I come on a supply run? You'll probably need a hand to carry more stuff."

He looks a bit skeptical for a moment before he agrees. "Sure."

I smile brightly at him and quickly hop in the truck just as he gets in. "I'll follow your lead."

He smiles at that and we head off. Leaving behind the quarry. Jeremy is gonna kill me for leaving without saying anything. But he can't always baby me. I'm a grown ass woman now and can make my own decisions.

Some time later...

I take a glance at Glenn a few times as we drive to our destination.

"You've been to this place before?" I look at him curiously and he nods.

"Yeah, I chained it up last time, luckily enough, Dale leant me his bolt cutters for them." He answers, which causes me to frown at him.

"Dale?" I repeat and he looks at me a bit confused and a weird look on his face.

"Do you not socialise at camp at all?" He raises his brows and I shake my head. He huffs before glancing back at the road.

He's a bit weird. It's not my fault I like to keep to myself when necessary. And also like he's one to talk, he's the most awkward person I've ever met. He can't judge whether I'm good with people or not since he doesn't stand up for himself. Right we need to change the subject. Something. Anything. Come on. Think. Think think think. "So... do you have anyone at camp?" I ask him, a bit curious. If he wants me to get to know him, then he can have it.

He shakes his head. "No family. Tabby is my friend though. I guess when you're alone you go to people who are in the same boat."

I nod my head in agreement. "Yeah, I know that feeling." I feel his eyes on me. The unspoken question is floating around the air. "I'm..." I bite my lip. "I'm an orphan."

His eyes widen a fraction. "Do you know your family or..." he trails off.

I look at him "I do, but, they're most likely gone now."

He frowns before he glances at me. "Well, they're at peace now. Whoever they are."

Josie's POV

I scrub the laundry with the other women by the lake. It's beautiful down here. I've never been here before this... apocalypse began and I wish I had. But now it's quiet.

"Do any of the men do the laundry here?" A young girl called Tabitha blurts out. I agree with her. Elijah helps out now and again but Shane is training him how to use a gun to be another muscle and another person who can go on watch. Shane is also training a guy called Jeremy. The more muscle the better.

"They say it's a woman's job." Aubrey mutters. Aubrey is a blonde bobbed young woman with green eyes. She came with Andrea and Amy. Her best friend is Andrea since they were kids, so she knows Amy well enough that they decided to do a road trip together when this started. And the whole woman's job thing; we all know who 'they' is... it's Shane. No surprise there. The only one who calls out on his bullshit is Callie.

"It sucks." Amy puts in. I couldn't agree more. I see her look at me. "Right, time for you to get out of the sun a bit and rest."

I roll my eyes at her. "I'll be fine for another 5 minutes." I've had two kids before, I'm not dumb.

I see Lori come up to me. "Come on. Maya will be excited to see you. You've been busy majority of the morning."

I huff and she helps me up. "Yeah because I can't sit on my ass all day." No point in arguing when everyone is telling me to move. It is hard to move when pregnant so I'm glad for a boost.

Lori chuckles. "Well, you need to take it easy for little one there."

We walk slowly up the hill back to camp. "So.. have you and Shane thought to have a second child?" I ask her.

She spins to me so fast she almost toppled over. "Oh no. No no no. Me and Shane. We're... uh.. we're not like that." I raise my brows at her. "I uh... I just lost my husband. Rick."

My heart drops. "Oh my god. I am so sorry. I sounded so insensitive by assuming you and Shane."

I shouldn't have assumed anything. It just looked like her and Shane together and now I made this conversation ten times awkward. I guess I can be blunt when I'm pregnant. I don't even know if that's a thing or not. Or maybe apocalypse version. But still... argh! I can't believe I said that.

She raises her hand. "It's ok. It's been hard without Rick. But me and Carl are managing."

I smile at her. "Well, I'm sorry for your loss. But I'm glad you're doing ok."

"Thank you."

I have a lot of respect for her now, she seems so strong even though she lost her husband at a time like this. Her husband would be proud of her.

Callie's PoV

I shut the door and look to the store we're about to raid. I notice a truck on the side and a motorcycle while the rest of the parking lot is empty.

"Why is it empty?" I voice and I notice Glenn look around.

"I guess people don't hunker down in stores during the apocalypse."

Huh. That's a good point. Too many windows, not many exits. The only plus side is having all the supplies that you need but everything runs out eventually. I walk to the door and notice it's ajar and the chains on the floor. That's not good. "Hey, Glenn." I gain his attention and he looks at me weirdly.

"Yeah?"

I point to the door, "didn't you say you chained it up when you last came here?"

He nods and swallows hard. "Stay quiet and stay by me."

I nod and we walk inside. That's when the bell at the top rings and I wince. Oh for fuck sake. Trying to be quiet and this thing goes off.

"Let's get as much as we can."

A little later...

A growl interrupts me grabbing a machete and it grabs my arms and I let out a scream. "Glenn!"

He whips around quick and sees it. "Oh fuck! Callie!"

I hold it off with my knee, keeping it at a distance. "Grab one of the fucking dozen knives!"

"Which one?!" He freaks.

"Any one. I don't mind if it's a candle just grab something and kill it!" I squeal and just as I finish my sentence an arrow pierces it's skull, bloody splattering over my face and shirt and the body drops on me, "oomph."

I don't know whether that's luck or not.

"What the hell are y'all doing?" The guy snaps and to be honest, I have no idea.

"So-sorry." Glenn apologises.

"Thank you so much." I say grateful to the man. He saved my life, it would be rude to not say thank you.

"Hey brother! What's going on back here?" An older man came around the corner and he smirks when his eyes fall on me. "Hello sugar tits." His eyes drift slightly to Glenn. "Chinaman."

I make a face before turning to Glenn. "We should take them back." Glenn looks like a deer in headlights, clearly not comfortable to talk to the two men, even though they saved me. Up to me then. "I'm Callie, this is Glenn. Uh... we have a camp not far from here."

"Is that right honey?" The older man cocks his head to the side while the younger one looks ready to knock his brother out.

"Yeah, we have food, medicine, quite a few people at camp. And you guys look like good people so you could come with us?"

I see them look at each other in a silent conversation before turning to me in sync. That's weird.

"I'm Merle, honey bunch. And this is my baby brother, Daryl." He responds, jerking his thumb to Daryl who has the crossbow hanging to the side. He gives a slight nod of acknowledgement before glancing around. Maybe he's looking out for more.

I look at Glenn. "We should get as much stuff as we can carry. We can come back in a few days."

He nods and quickly grabs a few knives. I notice in the corner of my eye, machetes. Huh. They'll be good. I quickly grab two and a knife, and I glance back at the machetes and grab another for Jeremy.

"How many ya got in your group?" I look to Daryl who is grabbing a pack of arrows. I also notice Merle and Glenn have gone. Glenn must hate that Merle is with him.

"From the top of my head?? I'll say over 20. I don't really talk to anyone so I don't know the exact number." I inform him and he hums. I glance at his crossbow. "Do you hunt?"

He nods. "Yeah."

Ah he doesn't talk much. Probably not that much to strangers anyway which is fair. "That's pretty cool and handy. Even more now than ever."

I quickly grab some ammo. Only a box but it'll shut Shane up for a bit.

"Do you go on runs often?" Probably wandering how I've lived this long if I couldn't handle one dickwad.

"No, this is my first time. I thought we could gather more stuff." I pause. "The truth is... I... I want to be useful."

After some time

I put the last of the supplies in the truck and look at the pair. "Just tail us, okay?"

Merle mock salutes. "You got it, boss lady."

I pull a face at him and watch him start his bike and Daryl hop in his truck before we do the same and head off.

"You know Shane isn't gonna like them." Glenn points out and I nod. He doesn't like many people. He only likes Lori and Carl and that's about it from the top of my head. He didn't like the young girl that came in from the city too until she knew information that he didn't.

"Yeah, don't worry. I'll convince him." I assure him and he pulls a face.

"It's gonna be one hell of a convincing job."

Yeah it will be but I have an idea if Shane still isn't convinced.

And that's it! Daryl and Merle are here! With the way I'm putting these chapters together, all I know is Rick will come in before 15. I will also be doing some time skips before S1 so it's not too dragged out. Obviously I had to do Callie like this at the start to show her development, because when people are ultimate fighters straight away it doesn't make sense. I enjoyed writing the Glenn and Callie scenes, they make me laugh and they're quite similar, aren't they? I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter!
