I'm here! *bows* I present chapter 6. Last chapter the Dixon brothers arrived at camp, much to Shane's dismay. Jeremy and Callie argued, sheesh am I right? I'm so sad that they announced that season 11 is the final season, but it's the time for it. World Beyond is ok, a good story in my opinion and I'm excited for season 2 for more CRM.

Disclaimer I don't own TWD, only my ocs and plotlines.

Callie's PoV

It's been a couple of days since the Dixon brothers came to camp and I once again sharpen my machetes, they need to be sharpened every day so they can be used against the dead. That's when someone plops down next to me, I look up to see Jeremy. Oh good. He better apologise.

"Callie, you need to stop hanging around them." He tells me softly but I know better. Ah, controlling me,again. Whenever he wants to be right in something he coddles me like I'm fragile.

"Who?" I ask dumbly. But I know exactly what he wants to say. I want to hear him say their names.

"Charlie Chaplin." He retorts sarcastically, "who do you think? The Dixon brothers. They're bad news. They're rednecks and lowlifes."

I look at him shocked. "I bet some people think that about orphans. Jer, we can't judge them for what they grew up with. They're good people. Yeah, Merle deep deep down but they know how to hunt. Think about how valuable they're during this."

He shakes his head, clearly not believing it. "Still, they're bad. They'll bring you down."

"No. Maybe I need to stay away from you. They don't control people. They mind their business. So how about you leave and come back when you're ready to apologise."

He storms off and I stalks away as well, to the Dixon brothers. Maybe in spite towards Jeremy but I need someone to be with right now, someone that is not Jeremy.

Daryl sees me storming towards him and I could already tell he already knows. "You and Jeremy fight again?"

I nod exasperated. "Yes, he pisses me off. Calling you rednecks and that when we're no different."

He furrows his brows. "What do you mean?" Callie can tell he's pissed about what Jeremy said but somehow reigning it in.

"Well... me and Jeremy are orphans. So we have no family. No one. That's why we have no right to judge anyone. Well no one should judge anyone for their past." I rant.

He hums and gets back to cleaning his bow. That's the end of the conversation. I take a deep breath and plop myself down opposite him and watch him work.

"Can you teach me?" I blurt out and he gazes at me. "How to hunt? I need to learn." He keeps on staring at me and I squirm under his gaze. "Look, Shane doesn't allow any of the women to carry guns. Which is a stupid ass decision since it's the apocalypse and everyone needs to learn how to protect themselves."

"Alright."

I blink, wow that was quick. "Really?"

He nods. "Yeah. It'll be good for ya. Get away from Jeremy and all."

I smile and nod. This will be good.

"And you're right." I look up at him a bit puzzled. "About it being a stupid decision, everyone needs to learn how to defend themselves." He looks at me in the eyes. "Especially now."

Josie's PoV

I watch Jeremy storming away from Callie, another argument I guess. They've been arguing a lot recently. "Is she acting like a teenager?" I ask him and he stops and nods, sighing.

"Yeah. She is. It's like every time I tell her to do one thing, she does the opposite."

I smile and point to Connor. "Believe me, I know the feeling. And me and Elijah are about to be outnumbered."

He looks down to my stomach for a second before looking back at me. "Yeah, I bet you're nervous about that?"

I nod. "Yeah. Me and Elijah are about to go to see Tabby. She's going to see if everything's ok."

He smiles softly. "Hope it goes well." Before he walks off.

I turn to see Elijah coming towards me. "You ready?" I ask him.

He nods and rubs his hand on my shoulder. "Yeah. What did Jeremy want?"

"Nothing. I was the one that talked to him."

We quickly go to the RV where Tabby is setting up her stuff with Dale and Aubrey helping her. It's quite a surprise to see Aubrey alone, usually the three blondes are joint at the hip. Andrea, Amy and Aubrey, the triple As and inseparable, but clearly the apocalypse changes people.

"Where'd you find all of this?" I ask Tabby, quite impressed with how much medical supplies there are.

She looks up and smiles. "Glenn and Callie found it with the help of the Dixon brothers, cool right?"

I chuckle and nod. "Yeah. They've been a big help with the food situation. Especially Callie, she's smarter than she seems."

"That's the only thing they're good at." Elijah snaps and I look at him shocked. Why did he say that?

I see Tabby have the same look in her eyes as me. She shakes it off and smiles warmly at me. "Let's have a look at the little one."

I raise my shirt up and she listens to the heart beat. Not like the doctors so it won't be as accurate but it's helpful for us.

"Did you learn this at school?"

She nods. "No, I was starting to learn on my own. I like to read about different things so I'll be prepared if I ever see it happen."

Wow. "You like to be prepared then?" I offer and she just nods as an answer.

She finishes up and looks at the two of us. "Well, good news. The heart beat seems steady and healthy. Just keep taking it easy." She walks away and packs her stuff away.

I grin and look at Elijah who seems happy but there seems to be a distant look in his eyes.

Elijah looks to me with a serious look on his face. "I don't want you talking to Jeremy."

"Why?" I narrow my eyes at him.

"He's bad news. Especially that woman, Callie, who hangs around the Dixon brothers."

I go to argue but sigh and nod. "Ok." In the corner of my eye, I see Tabby looking at each of us and shaking her head. Clearly fed up of all the arguments at camp. Me too, Tabby. I watch him leave and look to Tabby, who seems to be in a bit of a hurry. "Going somewhere?"

She whips around to me. "What? No! I'm staying here in camp."

I give her a look and she squirms. "Tabitha."

She grimaces at the sound of her full name. "Ok. Look, I'm going to ask Callie to train me. I need to learn how to defend myself."

I look at her puzzled. "Why?"

She looks at me like I'm insane. "Why?" She mocks and pints out the window, in the distance I see Callie holding her machetes. "That's why. The dead are killing hundreds of people daily, we're outnumbered especially if only the men are allowed to carry a weapon. We all will be dead soon."

I nod my head. "Ok." I take one more glance outside at Callie before back at Tabby. "Can you do me a favour?"

She furrows her brows, "what?"

"Can you talk to Callie? See what type of person she is."

Tabby clenches her jaw. "You want me to spy."

"No!" I immediately say and she gives me a look. "Fine. It's what she'll least expect. Especially from you." She makes a face. "Please." I add.

"Fine." She says before leaving the RV.

Callie's PoV

I swing my arm and try to gain more balance with the machete. And I'm trying to get my arm use to it as well, I don't want my arm tiring out if I'm surrounded by the geeks.

I hear footsteps and turn to see Tabby, waving enthusiastically. "Hi!"

I give her a weird look. "Uhh... hi."

"Sorry, I get way too giddy when I've been in a awkward position." She admits and I nod. Understandable.

"What do you need?" I ask her and she looks around for a second before turning back to me.

"I was just wondering if you'd like to teach me that." She points to my machete and my eyes widen.

I raise my brow. "You want me to teach you how to use a machete?"

She nods. "Yes. And survival. I want to know how." She looks kind of proud that she told me, like she finally had the courage to say it.

I narrow my eyes at her. "Why?"

She huffs. "I was in a city full of those freaks. What happens if we need to move camp and majority of us don't know how to use a gun. Noise attracts geeks and guns make noise. So we all need to learn this." She demands.

I smile at her. "Well, good news..." she looks at me confused, "you're more prepared than the rest of camp since you're willing to learn."

She smiles sheepishly at me and I indicate my head so she can follow me.

"Come on. I have a lesson with Daryl. He can teach you too."

Her eyes widen. "Right now?"

"Yes!" I laugh.

Tabby's PoV

I watch Daryl grab his crossbow and arrows, same with Merle.

Well Merle is busy checking me out since Callie is ignoring him.

"So... sugar tits? You haven't come here before." He looks around to indicate their camp.

I shake my head. "Uh.. no. I'm the only person here trained in medical. Shane wants me nearby."

"Ah, the cop." He spits and I take a nervous step back from him but he doesn't notice. "The one bangin' boss lady. The one actin' leader when he ain't shit."

I nod my head. "Yep. That's him."

He goes to open his mouth but Callie stops him. "Come on, we're ready."

I'm not really a fan of Merle, he seems scary and intimidating. But Daryl seems... quiet. That's all I can say about him. But Callie however, they follow her, I guess she can be a leader but I have to find out and tell Josie. Josie wants to know what type of person Callie is and so far, she seems like a good person, just awkward.

After a couple of dead squirrels, we're still walking through the woods. Have I mentioned that I'm a city girl? I was born in Indianapolis and moved to New York, Los Angeles and finally Atlanta. I have always been in a city. So this is not my expertise. And everyone around me can tell because no matter where I put my foot, I make a loud noise. Which is obviously irritating Merle. Daryl and Callie don't seem irritated... yet.

"Girl do you have to walk so damn loud?" Merle blurts out and I roll my eyes at him.

"Sorry, I don't have that much experience in walking quietly." He scoffs and storms away, pushing through Daryl and Callie.

Merle's moods give me a headache all the time, one minute he's nice and the next he's cursing up a storm. There's no in between from what I can tell. But one thing I've learned is that Daryl is the calmer one out of the two brothers.

That's the chapter! Jeremy is still trying to control Callie but calling the Dixon brothers' lowlifes? Wow. But there's a lot of tension at camp, isn't there? I love creating some sort of conflict for my ocs. It makes me sound horrible, doesn't it? Also Tabby wanting to learn how to use a machete too? My girls are growing. I can't wait to build up my ocs.
