Chapter 51 Opening Loss
Early, the next morning, all twelve teams were filling the taxis that would take them to The Grand Ball Court. With every taxi full, the drivers drove off to the stadium. On reaching the stadium, ten of the twelve teams went and filled the stands. Two of them were not present.
"Good morning, everybody and welcome to The Grand Ball Court in Chichén Itzà, Mexico, today we'll be seeing two teams who have made it all the way to Mexico!" DJ Jazzman announced. "First up, are the former cheaters who have wrangled their way to the finals in a misguided manner, but now that Mr. Coupe is out of the picture, how will Risk Factor fare?"
Risk Factor made their way into the stadium, Daryl led his four teammates. Now that Mr. Coupe and Billu were jailed in Austria, how would they fare? Would they win at all or would it end for them? Once in the stadium, Risk Factor sat down on the bench.
"Their opponents are a team we know very well; those cats are not to be tossed a ball of yarn unless you want to say goodbye to your limbs! Please welcome White Tiger X!"
With Lee up front, White Tiger X entered the stadium and sat down opposite Risk Factor.
Now both competing teams were present, it was now a question of who would represent which side. All the spectators were so tense that the tension could be cut with a knife. For what seemed a long time, nobody got up.
Eventually, Kevin got to his feet and made his way to the stadium.
"White Tiger X are sending Kevin to the dish, his Galman bit beast is one wild monkey, it can really confuse the opponent and wind them up!"
No sooner had Kevin reached the closed platform, he was met there by Chinh.
"Chinh will represent Risk Factor for this round, how will he fare now that Mr. Coupe is gone!"
As soon as Kevin and Chinh were facing one another, the platform below separated and a puff of smoke rose out. Something else was rising with the smoke.
Once the smoke had dissipated, it revealed a stadium that had the El Castillo pyramid in the centre, while grass and dirt surrounded the pyramid.
"How impressive, the El Castillo stadium, how will our brave beybladers fare in this dish?"
"It'll be interesting to see their fight around the pyramid."
"Beybladers, get ready!"
Kevin swiftly readied his launcher, ripcord and beyblade. He didn't have long to wait until Chinh was ready and waiting as well.
"3,2,1, let it rip!"
Kevin swiftly launched Galman into the stadium, and onto the dusty path. Chinh was quick to release Island Lasiotis. Throwing caution to the wind, Kevin was quick to go on the offensive.
"Galman, attack!"
In adherence to Kevin's command, Galman mounted a ferocious attack on Island Lasiotis, it slashed it hard and swiftly as sparks flew.
"Island Lasiotis, fight back!"
Like the flipping of a switch, Island Lasiotis stole the momentum away from Galman. Kevin could barely see the speed of Chinh's attacks.
"Galman, strike back!"
As if Chinh's attacks were nothing, Galman snatched the driver's seat back from Island Lasiotis. It ferociously attacked, hitting faster and harder with every blow.
"Galman, slam!"
With a powerful blow, Galman slammed Island Lasiotis into the pyramid. The rock at the top fell down as it connected. In seconds, Chinh's blade fell to the other side, it hit the stadium perfectly.
"Get in there and attack, Island Lasiotis!"
Shooting round the stadium, Island Lasiotis found Galman and attacked with a velocity never seen before. Galman was getting slammed left, right and centre, bits of the stone pyramid were flying here, there and everywhere.
"Galman, attack now!"
Breaking through the rubble, Galman shot out and viciously attacked Island Lasiotis, striking hard with heavy slams.
"Galman, multi slam!"
In a trice, Island Lasiotis was being shoved around like s tennis ball, every blow knocked it back harder.
"Island Lasiotis, attack!"
"Go, Galman!"
In seconds, Galman and Island Lasiotis heeded their respective bladers' commands and traded blows back and forth.
"Galman, Illusion Confusion!"
As soon as Kevin issued the command, Galman's rotation increased and four illusionary beyblades appeared.
"No way!"
The illusions ferociously attacked a confused Chinh, who tried in vain to discern the real enemy. Then the real blade slammed Island Lasiotis out of the stadium.
"Island Lasiotis is out, Galman is still spinning, the winner is Kevin!"
Galman returned to Kevin's open hand, while Chinh picked Island Lasiotis and skulked off to Risk Factor. Kevin returned to White Tiger X in joy.
As soon as this happened, Lee stood up and went to where the stadium once was. However, the El Castillo stadium was no longer there, instead was a new stadium. This one was entirely different for it was a vast quadrangle. On one side lay the remains of four chambers, two of which once supported a second floor. However, the vast majority of the stadiums was filled with columns, once painted and known to have held up roofs of some nature.
"Lee the lead man for White Tiger X is stepping up to battle, he is a lion whose cage you don't want to rattle!"
Before long, Lee was met by Giang who eagerly walked up to face him.
"Giang is a hardcore customer with his Grassland Collaris bit beast's Poison Belch attack!"
Now at the stadium, Lee and Giang swiftly readied their launchers, ripcords and beyblades and poised to launch.
"3,2,1, let it rip!"
Without waiting to be told twice, Lee swiftly launched Galeon into the stadium. Not to be outdone, Giang followed suit with Grassland Collaris.
"Galeon, attack now!"
"Go, Grassland Collaris!"
Galeon and Grassland Collaris zig zagged through the pillars and struck each other hard. Sparks flew as the metal of the blades clashed.
"Push it back, Galeon!"
In a trice, Galeon shoved Grassland Collaris clean off and sent it into one of the pillars. The pillar collapsed and Giang was barely able to save his blade.
"Grassland Collaris, attack!"
Heeding Giang's command, Grassland Collaris shot forwards to strike. Seeing this, Lee acted swiftly and gave the command.
"Galeon, evade and counterattack!"
Galeon swiftly dodged the attack, Grassland Collaris was left to strike thin air. Now, Galeon heeded Lee's command, it snuck up behind Grassland Collaris and slammed it.
"Keep it up!"
Without hesitation, Galeon ferociously circled Grassland Collaris, it struck relentlessly every time.
"Attack, Galeon!"
Now in full control, Galeon followed Lee's instructions and ferociously attacked. It hit hard with unrelenting and powerful blows, sparks filled the stadium with every hit.
"Grassland Collaris, fight back!"
Somehow, Grassland Collaris managed to gain some momentum, it struck hard and fiercely. Its velocity was slight but still significant, it slammed Galeon hard.
"Keep attacking!"
"Don't give up, Galeon!"
The metal of the two blades sparked and smashed hard, heavy blows were traded every time.
"Galeon, full power attack!"
Lee swiftly reclaimed momentum, as Galeon went on a ferocious attack, it slammed Grassland Collaris here, there and everywhere.
"Galeon, multi slam!"
"Grassland Collaris, defend!"
Galeon kept the door closed on Giang's vain attempts to attack, it viciously hit Grassland Collaris with remorseless blows, each one harder than the last. However, despite the beating it was taking, Grassland Collaris struck back hard and hit Galeon with fierceness.
"Galeon, Spiral Lightning!"
Despite taking a beating, Galeon remained strong and regained spinning power. At the same time, the magnificent black lion appeared roaring, it leaped forwards and the lightning disorientated Grassland Collaris before it was slammed out of the stadium, through the air and to Giang's feet.
"Grassland Collaris is out and Galeon is still spinning, Lee is the winner and White Tiger X take the match!"
Galeon returned to Lee's open hand, Giang picked up Grassland Collaris and went back to Risk Factor and Lee returned to the White Tiger X to celebrate. However, Lee was a good sportsman, so he congratulated Giang on a good battle and wished him good luck for next time.
"That was an awesome battle, see you all tomorrow to see the world champion G-Revolutions clash with Mythic Blade!"
