Another chapter! Back again in the writing stages, so I wanted to make up with Callie and the rest who are telling me off. So I'm back! I really want to get to a certain point for a certain character. That's the most vague I can do without spoiling anything. I'd like to apologise for the lack of updates, I've moved into my flat and started uni so things have been hectic.
Disclaimer I don't own The Walking Dead, just my ocs and plotlines.
Callie's POV
The heat of the Georgia sun was beating down her neck, she knows that she'll have sunburn by the end of the day. Daryl was leading the group, and her and Jeremy were following behind him.
"How many do you think there are in the group?" Jeremy asks her and she looks at him before shrugging.
"No idea. It could 5...10...50. God knows." She mumbles and he nods.
"Hopefully they are good people." Jeremy responds and she stops and looks at him.
"There are no good people in this world, Jer. There's only bad... or worse. If not, then they're dead. At some point, we'll have to make the same choices that they're making now." Callie points out to him.
We're all infected. It echoes in her head. She wants to tell Jeremy. She needs to. But her and Rick promised each other that it would stay between the pair.
Jeremy sighs. "I know. It's just a matter of time." He pauses. They fail to notice Daryl watching them.
Callie goes to speak but Daryl interrupts them.
"Come on. I found somethin'." Daryl urges and they follow him.
They walk through a clearing to see a house, overgrown grass and a pond nearby.
"Looks promising." She comments, smiling at Daryl. The corner of his mouth lifts up slightly before they move forward.
Jeremy points to himself and does a circle and Daryl stares at him in confusion. What the fuck is he doing? Callie frowns before understanding. She points at herself and Daryl, before pointing at the house. Then pointing at Jeremy and the ground. Finally Daryl nods and heads inside. Jeremy pulls a face and Callie snickers at his antics.
Thank God that she could understand his shit directions. Otherwise they would have been screaming orders at each other. But in case there were walkers inside, they wanted to be quiet in case anyone was in there.
She heads upstairs while Daryl searches the downstairs. A stair creeks and she winced before continuing forward. She looks and sees a walker, a dead walker with a knife sticking out of it. A little pocket knife. She takes it out and the blood squirts over her hand. Great. But who was up here? Did Sophia take him out? She looks at the broken chair nearby then fully looks at the walker, seeing it's legs were broken. If so, she did something smart. Getting it down to her level before killing it. She pockets the knife.
After going through all of the upstairs, nothing was there. She heads downstairs to Daryl walking outside.
"Sophia!" He calls out.
Jeremy walks up to them. "Anything?"
Daryl nods his head. "Come on." They follow after him and see the cupboard, big enough to fit a child inside where there was a blanket and a pillow. "Found this too." Daryl says and holds out an empty tin of sardines.
"She was here. I saw a dead walker upstairs. She must have cleared it." Callie comments and they nod. "There was a broken chair, so she got it to her level before killing it."
Jeremy smiles. "Smart kid."
Glenn's POV
They were riding the horses back slowly as the four siblings trailed behind them. To him, they seemed like decent people, but have witnessed the horrors that they have. Seeing their friends get ripped apart. When Audrey got bit, he wasn't there, but she was still nice to him, she didn't deserve to die like that. Then Jim, Jacqui, then finding all the dead people that he met in the Vatos gang. Sophia going missing, Carl, T-Dog and Connor getting injured. It was all a big mess to him.
But the one thing that helped him was Maggie. He smiled thinking about the sex and looked to the woman riding next to him. She must have felt his eyes on her before she glanced back.
"Don't spoil it." She orders and he grins.
"So it was good." Glenn points out to her.
She looks back at him. "It was a one time thing."
He stops smiling at that. They arrived at the farm and he breathes deeply at the sight of someone approaching. He sighs in relief when he sees it's Rick, who is looking at the guests. Then he sees Callie, Daryl and Jeremy approaching as well. The best people for this, he would rather them than Shane.
Shane was a loose cannon going off every few seconds. Now more than ever after that night with Otis. He guessed he was still shaken up.
He climbs off his horse and Maggie talks to her father. He swallows hard at the thought of him finding out. If he found out, he was sure they would kick the group off the farm. And everyone would hate him.
"Everything go okay?" He asks, looking at Glenn skeptically. He looks away and to Callie, who is eyeing up the newbies. He ignores the rest of their conversation. Rick was looking at him expectantly.
"Uh... oh right... this is Harriet, Daisy, Damien, and Richie." He points to each of them respectfully. The youngest of the four grinning at Rick.
Rick shakes Damien's hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Rick. Rick Grimes. We're quite full at the moment, but you can stay with us in the RV. Hershel-" he pauses and looks at the older man. "This is his farm, his land, and we're guests here. But our group will take you guys in, and you can be one of us."
Damien smiles at him gratefully. "Thank you. We'll earn our keep."
Damien looks at Callie and Glenn tenses, knowing how... stubborn she can be.
"Welcome to the group." She smiles warmly at the guy before walking off. Glenn sighs in relief, he was sure that she'd be on edge, but he guessed she didn't think that they were a threat so she was a bit more laid back than usual. He looks at Rick.
"We- we uh... we found them in the pharmacy." Glenn lies smoothly, he was not going to tell their leader that they found him and Maggie in compromising positions and naked. Yep. Very naked. No clothes, nothing. Just naked. But yeah, he was done for.
"Yeah, right." Daisy scoffs and Rick looks at her with an amused expression. Glenn sweats. Harriet elbows her in the stomach and she lets out a huff.
"Thank you." Harriet smiles at Rick.
"Glenn will show you four around. I need to talk to Callie. Then ask Hershel that they can use the shower." Rick tells him before walking off in the direction the girl went.
Glenn looks at the four who are watching him in amusement. "Right. Never do that again." He points a finger at Daisy before walking off. The four follow him, laughing at his antics.
Callie's POV
Rick approaches her and raises a brow in concern at the look on her face.
"What is it? Is it Sophia?" He asks in concern, quickly looking around in case anyone wants to listen in on their conversation.
"We found something close by. A cabin, and there was a cupboard with a blanket in it. Big enough to fit a kid." She explains to him and he nods his head.
"That's great." He comments before realising. "Is there something else?"
Callie nods her head. "The bear trap that Connor stood in." She pauses and he furrows his brows. "It's not Hershel's. Which means that there are people nearby."
They could possibly be dangerous. Hunting for food in the woods that surround the farm. But they could be watching them right now.
Rick swallows hard before nodding his head. "No one will go out on their own." He decides.
"And no one out after dark." Callie adds. She licks her lips in anticipation before continuing. "Are you sure that keeping... keeping that secret is a good idea?"
He looks at her for a moment. "Yeah, like you said. They would have stayed at the CDC. Now is not the good time with Sophia missing, Carl, Connor, and T-Dog injured. We have finally got stability. We need to keep a level head." He lowers his voice and she nods her head.
She wants to tell Rick about them being siblings. She hates secrets. It's going to get her killed.
His eyes narrow. "Is there anything else I should know about?"
She decides right then and there what she wanted to do. "No. No, I'm good."
Tabby's POV
She hears the RV door open and sees Glenn pop in. He grins at her.
"Hey." He beams and she frowns.
"What happened to you? Did you get laid or something?" She jokes around noticed Glenn's face and the fact that he was silent. WHAT THE FUCK. Her smile drops. "Fuck off! Did you?!"
He hushes her harshly and she hears giggling. "Come in." He ushers four strangers in and she looks at him wide eyed. Who the hell are they? Which she knew he would understand. "Oh yeah. Tabby this is Damien, Harriet, Daisy and Richie."
"Hi." They all say simultaneously.
"Hey." She greets before whirling on Glenn. "You had sex?!" She hisses and he nods his head.
"Glenn." Carol tuts before leaving the RV, followed by Daryl. Who didn't say anything, he was extremely uncomfortable.
Glenn groans into his hands. She snorts at his predicament.
"Who with?" She asks and Glenn was starting to sweat. She has never seen him that nervous... EVER.
Glenn stays silent for a moment. "Maggie." His hand muffled the answer but Tabby understands him. She stayed silent for a dramatic moment. Which she knew that he knows what she's doing.
She laughs. "Oh my god, you're so dead."
"We found them too." Daisy puts in and Tabby cackles.
"Sadly." Richie gags at the thought.
Glenn groans again.
Tabby's jaw drops in realisation. "You mean you both were still naked-"
Glenn nods and Tabby laughs loudly, causing the siblings to laugh at their friendship.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I wanted some humour, because how the hell did no one notice Glenn and Maggie's weird behaviour. So I had Glenn be his stupid self and do something funny. Soon, the barn secret will be out, then Callie's secret. Everything will be going to shit. I hope I do Glenn justice when doing his povs, he's a fun character to write.
