Well here we are. Approaching the season 2 finale. Getting to my favourite season where things kick off. I love season 3, it's just soo good. By the time you've read this, all the episodes of The Ones Who Live are out, and I'm crying. It's so good. Anyway, enough of me, let's get straight to it.

Disclaimer I don't own The Walking Dead just my ocs and plotlines.

Callie's POV

They've just buried Dale and were standing there paying their respects. She looked at all the graves that were next to Dale's. They've lost so much already.

"Dale could- could get under your skin. He sure got under mine, because he wasn't afraid to say exactly what he thought, how he felt. That kind of honesty is rare and brave. Whenever I'd make a decision, I'd look at Dale. He'd be looking back at me with that look that he had. We've all seen it. One time or another. I couldn't always read him, but he could read us. He saw people for who they were. He knew things about us- The truth. Who we really are. In the end, he was talking about losing our humanity. He said this group was broken." Rick let the silence simmer. "The best way to honour him is to unbreakable it. Set aside our differences and pull together, stop feeling sorry for ourselves, and take control... of our lives... our safety... our future. We're not broken. We're gonna prove him wrong. From now on... we're gonna do it his way. That is how we honour Dale."

Callie makes eye contact with Rick. They had work to do. A lot of it.

After the funeral, the group was packing up their tents. The plan was to move everyone into the house, yes it will be a tight squeeze for all of them. She has a plan to have supplies be packed up in each of the vehicles, stating that if something happened and they had to flee, it's best if they were prepared. Each vehicle will have a can of gas, a few cans of food, a med pack, and water.

But first before they do all of that, they need to do a supply run. Raid the pharmacy of all of its meds, anything that they can grab. Raid as many houses of supplies and stock up for the winter. She wants the group to go out a lot less when winter comes. Only if they needed to be topped up with anything, basically emergencies only.

"It'll be tight, twenty six people in one house." Rick points out to Hershel. They've finished up packing and were planning the next few days ahead, the future.

"Don't worry about that. With the swamp hardening, the creek drying up..." Hershel trails off.

"With fifty head of cattle on the property, we might as well be ringing a damn dinner bell." Maggie adds on.

Hershel nods his head at his daughter. "She's right. We should've moved you in a while ago."

Callie smiles gratefully at him. "All right, let's move the vehicles near each of the doors facing out towards the road. In each of the vehicles we'll have supplies, just in case we need to leave in a hurry. Tabby, I want you to start doing inventory of all the supplies we have, and start separating batches to put into the cars." She adds on and Rick nods his head, agreeing with her statement. Tabby nods her head.

"Good idea. We'll build a lookout in the windmill, another in the barn loft. That should give us sight lines both sides of the property. T-Dog, you take the perimeter around the house. Keep track of everyone coming and going." Rick tells T who looks confused.

"What about standing guard?" He asks, glancing at Shane who was standing there quietly. He looks like he didn't agree with anything they were saying, or what Rick was saying.

Rick does notice T's glance at his former best friend. "I need you and Daryl on double duty."

"Gotcha." T-Dog agrees before walking off, a tub in his hands.

"I'll stock the basement with food and water, enough that we can all survive there a few days if need be." Hershel announces and she nods at him. He lifts a box as well before she stops him.

"Good idea, work with Tabby on the supply stock, then we know how much we have, and how much we can split between the vehicles, and sort out the basement plan." Callie tells the older man and he nods his head before sticking around, waiting to talk to Rick and herself.

Damien looks at Rick and her. "What about patrols?"

"Let's get this area locked down first. After that, Shane will assign shifts and Callie will work out everyone's duties for the next few weeks. While me and Daryl take Randall off site and cut him loose." Rick explains and Damien looks at her for more intel.

"We'll work on the most important runs for the next few days before winter sets in. Try and gather as much food, gas, medicine, warm clothes as possible." Callie tells him and he nods.

"Cool. I know some places in town that have a few supplies." Damien informs her.

She smiles. "Good, meet me in the house and circle the areas on a map. We'll talk it over later."

He nods his head and walks off, carrying a couple of tents.

"We're back to letting Randall go now?" Shane asks, a tone in his voice that makes Callie roll her eyes at his childish attitude.

"It was the right plan first time around. Poor execution." Rick says and Shane huffs, causing Rick to give him a look.

"That's a slight understatement." Shane mutters and Callie clenches her teeth.

Really? Even after Dale dying, he can't for the life of him get his head out of his ass.

"You don't agree." It was more of a statement then a question. "But this is what's happening. Swallow it. Move on." Rick tells him off.

Jeremy was looking between them, mainly looking uneasy around Shane.

"You know that Dale's death and the prisoner- that's two separate things, right?" Shane asks Rick who just ignores him. Shane clenches his jaw. "You wanna take Daryl as your wingman? Be my guest."

If she didn't know any better, she would say Shane is jealous.

"Thank you." Rick sarcastically says.

Shane storms off but not before muttering. "You got it." Which Lori stares after Shane in disbelief.

That left the four of them, herself, Hershel, Jeremy, and Rick. The others were walking ahead or driving the vehicles. Apart from Amy, Andrea and Glenn who were trying to sort out the RV.

She did manage to laugh earlier when Richie and Connor were both struggling with putting down Josie's tent. Summer was laughing at them the whole time while she was 'helping'. Which did make a few of them smile, which was surprising considering the circumstances.

"I see why you're not taking Shane with you." Hershel states as they walk back to the house, carrying the last of the stuff. "Just know I've got no more patience where he's concerned."

"Christmas will be awkward then." She mutters and Jeremy snorts, making Hershel crack a smile.

Jeremy adds. "And Thanksgiving."

Rick smirks shaking his head. "He's turning over a new leaf."

She shares a look with Jeremy. They don't believe that Shane would turn over a new leaf. He's too hotheaded.

"Andrea." Rick calls the woman and she turns, looking between her and Rick. "When I'm out with Daryl, help Hershel and Callie keep an eye on things around here."

Andrea's eyes widen and she looks taken aback for a second. "Me?"

"Shane's got a way of letting things get out of hand, especially when he's all torqued up." Rick tells her, and this causes Callie to snort.

Jeremy coughs. "That's putting it lightly."

"I think we're all a bit torqued up at this point." Andrea mutters, clearly trying to stick up for him.

"He needs to be kept in check, and you've gotten close to him recently." Callie reminds the woman, who frowns about to argue but Hershel cuts in.

"If you're staying here permanently, he's got to understand that it's what Rick, Callie and I say, not whatever he wants."

Andrea goes quiet.

"As Callie said, you've become close." Rick points out to her and she purses her lips for a second, and a light blush comes to her face.

She understood what that meant, Jeremy filled her in on the run that Shane and Andrea came back from, that they looked like they had sex. Andrea was extremely flustered and kept on smiling. While Shane was unusually quiet. She didn't believe it at first but until she saw them getting closer, it would make sense since the sexual tension was thick.

"We... talk." She finally says.

"Putting it lightly." Jeremy mutters and Andrea glares at him.

At this point they stop walking. "Then you know he's not a bad guy. He's just his own worst enemy." Rick explains to her.

She narrows her eyes at her and Rick, casually glancing at Hershel as well. "You want me to babysit, Shane?"

"Yes." Callie responds bluntly and she could see Hershel crack a smile.

Rick gives her a humorous look before looking back at Andrea. "I need to make sure that every time I leave the farm, all hell doesn't break loose."

"Then maybe you should stop leaving." Andrea retorts before walking off.

That leaves the four of them staring after her.

"Will you keep an eye on things?" Rick finally asks, clearly wanting an answer from her.

"Of course." She calls back and they all look at each other.

Rick looks at Jeremy and her. "You two are not helping."

"What?" They both ask in unison, messing with Rick.

"You know what." Rick laughs before walking off.

Jeremy and her look at each other again before laughing, knowing exactly what he was on about. They were jabbing at Andrea, knowing she slept with Shane and basically having fun with it.

Noa's POV

She was helping the group set up in the house. She was happy that her father finally gave in and allowed the group to stay, but it was after the cost of one of the group, Dale, he was a nice man. She didn't have much interaction with him, but whenever she did, he was forward and kind.

She has decided to share her room with Tabby, Amy and Harriett. It was a squeeze, but they'll make do.

"Where are your sisters going?" She asks Amy and Harriett.

"With Beth." They both answer in unison and she nods her head.

Noa could see that Amy was upset about Dale, they were close. Amy must've noticed her looking at her.

"I'm going to find Andrea." She says before taking off.

They watch her leave the room.

"She's not taking it well." Tabby mutters and she nods.

"I'm sorry about Dale, he was a good man." She tells them, and they smile at her.

"He was." Harriett says. "I wish I knew him longer." She admits and she understood.

Their group was tight, they met up at a quarry and had the start of the apocalypse together, while Harriett and her family came after. The only reason why they were here was because the group came onto the farm.

Noa never believed in a higher power, but recently, with everything by going on, maybe everything does happen for a reason?

Callie's POV

She was listening to the plan that Rick and Daryl are putting together, once they have a plan, they'll put supplies in a truck and head out with Randall. This will finally be over. Rick wanted her to hear the plan, just in case they get stuck, she knows where to take a group out for a rescue mission.

"Take him out to Senoia, hour there, hour back, give or take. We may lose the light, but we'll be halfway home by then." Rick explains.

"Sounds good to me." She tells him and Daryl hums.

"This little pain in the ass will be a distant memory. Good riddance."

She snorts at Daryl's words.

"Carol's putting together some provisions for him, enough to last a few days." Rick informs them and they nod.

"Jeremy and Damien are preparing supplies for the vehicles, that way in case we're overrun, we have a few supplies to last a week." She informs Rick and he nods.

Daryl quips a smile. "Smart plan."

She nods. "We need to be prepared for anything."

It falls silent between the three of them.

"That thing you did last night-" Rick starts but Daryl interrupts him.

"Ain't no reason you should do the heavy lifting." He explains. "Either of you." He adds on looking at her.

That was a good reason in Callie's book, everyone else looks at Rick and her for answers and to do every thing. Which as leaders, they are expected to. But having Daryl make that choice for them, to carry that burden alongside them, it was a weight that had been taken off of both of their shoulders.

"So are you good with all this?" Rick asks him, clearly wanting his honest opinion.

Callie could see a flicker of shock in Daryl's features before it was masked as quick as it comes.

"I don't see you and I trading haymakers on the side of the road. Nobody'd win that fight." Daryl tells them, and they both chuckle at that.

The meaning that he won't swing at Rick over it.

The three stop laughing when they see Shane walk over to them.

"I'm gonna take a piss." Daryl announces and swings off the porch railing.

"I'm gonna be somewhere else." Callie says and Rick gives her a look as she walks inside, spotting Hershel.

"They got a plan yet?" Hershel asks her and she nods.

"Yeah, the plan is set, once they've got the supplies, they'll get Randall and get going before it gets too late." She explains to him and he nods. She sits down at the kitchen table, sitting next to the man, as the house is busy with everyone unpacking, and Carol putting together the supplies. "How many supplies do we have?"

Hershel passes her a list that Patricia managed to write.

She looks at the numbers, which wasn't good, but not too bad.

"With everyone during the winter, it'll be tight." He explains and she nods her head.

"Maybe ration when it gets in the middle of winter?" She suggests and he nods.

"We could do. We can hunt, we've got cattle for fresh milk."

She nods her head. "Or if worst comes to worst, we'll have to kill a couple for meat."

He nods his head at her comment.

The group needs to be prepared for anything, even if it means killing a couple of cattle and storing it so it'll last them. But it means that people will have to go out hunting, searching for supplies just to get them to a safe spot.

Jeremy and Damien were putting supplies into piles near them. Those are what will bring down numbers of the house supplies as well, is she being too cautious where she'll put the group in jeopardy due to trying to prepare the group for everything.

Rick joined them and is talking to Hershel and herself about their supply situation, and their run to drop off Randall. Randall is only having a bag of supplies, which is in the back of the truck ready.

It was a little later when T-Dog rushes into the house, panting.

"T? What's wrong?" Callie asks him.

"He's gone."

She looks at Hershel and gives him a look of not letting anyone know just yet until they did. Her and Rick ran out of the house with T, meeting up with Daryl outside.

"Randall's missing. I opened the shed, and he wasn't there." T explains to them, showing them the shed, Daryl shook his head at her, he was at the entrance.

"How long has he been gone?" Rick asks him.

"It's hard to say."

"What's going on?" They hear Jeremy ask and look outside of the shed to the whole group, looking at them worried, thinking maybe Randall was dead.

"The cuffs are still hooked." Daryl informs them.

"He must've slipped them." Jeremy suggests.

"Is that possible?" Damien asks, looking at each of them.

The group luckily didn't hear the previous part? Maybe thinking that he somehow killed himself inside the shed, but they needed to tell them the truth. This was dangerous.

Callie could feel all their eyes on herself and Rick, they are wanting answers and they don't have them. Even Daryl was looking at them with pity, his conversation earlier coming back to them.

"Randall's missing." Rick announces to the group and a couple gasp and they all look terrified.

"The door was secured from the outside." T-Dog informs them and both her and Rick looked at each other. What the hell happened to Randall? And how the hell did he escape?

"Rick! Rick!"

They hear Shane yell, he was storming out of the forest, his face covered in blood. What the fuck happened to him?

"What happened?" Rick asks his best friend, who looked utterly pissed off.

"He's armed! He's got my gun!" Shane shouts, announcing the worse possible situation to the entire group.

Oh fuck.

I thought that this was a good place to stop, leave it on a little cliff hanger due to the chaos about to happen. I hope you guys enjoyed it! I'm sorting out the plan for the series in the future, I'm on season 3, getting the details in place, and every characters storyline, I've got the main points but making sure that it makes sense. Please let me know what you guys think!
