Disclaimer I don't own The Walking Dead just my ocs and plotlines

Callie's POV

After they left the house, they were met with a sight. A herd bigger than she had ever seen was heading towards them, and due to the darkness, the lights of the house drew them in and it was too late to divert them.

"Patricia, kill the lights." Hershel tells her and she immediately runs inside.

Callie looks at Andrea. "Get the guns. All of them."

Andrea nods and heads inside.

"Maybe they're just passing, like the herd on the highway." Glenn suggests and she shakes her head. There was no way they haven't seen them by now, they were a target.

They were engulfed in darkness as the lights went off.

"Should we just go inside?" Noa asks.

Daryl was looking out at the dead arriving, they were by the barn. "Not unless there's a tunnel downstairs I don't know about. A herd that size will rip the house down."

Lori and Josie come out panicked. "Carl and Maya are gone."

Callie's stomach dropped.

"What?" She murmurs.

Lori looks at her. "He- he was upstairs."

"They both were." Josie adds. Connor was behind his mother, and Summer was beside him, and she noticed the two young teenagers holding hands but she glanced away to not make it awkward.

"We can't find them anymore." Lori concludes it.

Patricia was back out then. "Maybe they're hiding."

Lori shakes her head and they could see tears in her eyes. "He's suppose to be upstairs. I'm not leaving without my boy."

"I'm not leaving without Maya." Josie says determined.

Carol nods her head. "We're not. We're gonna look again. We're gonna find both of them." Carol grabs Lori and Josie and the trio head inside the house.

Andrea comes back out with the duffel bag.

Maggie grabs a shotgun and loads it.

Glenn looks at her wide eyed. "Maggie-" He starts but is interrupted.

"You grow up country, you pick up a thing or two." She answers him.

Glenn nods, and Callie could see the admiration in his eyes.

Callie grabs a gun, quickly making sure it was loaded.

Jeremy and Damien were handing out guns to everyone.

"I got the number. It's no use." Daryl informs them and she sighs. They've gotta try.

Hershel loads a gun. "You can go if you want."

Daryl looks at him questioningly. "You gonna take 'em all on?"

"We have guns. We have cars." Hershel points out to him.

Callie could see him weighing his options. But she knew he wouldn't leave, he's not like that.

"Kill as many as we can, and we'll use the cars to lead the rest of them off the farm." Andrea suggests and Callie nods.

"Are you serious?" Daryl asks, looking at them.

"This is my farm. I'll die here." Hershel answers and that seemed to persuade him.

"Alright. It's as good a night as any." Daryl shrugs it off the possibility of dying.

"If things go wrong, we meet at the highway." Callie instructs them and they nod. "Get the kids out, and anyone who can't shoot, we'll hold them off for as long as we can."

Daryl nods and hops over the porch fence, and lands on the ground with a thud.

She sees Damien look at his brother Richie. "Get Daisy out." He nods his head and they hug.

She knew there was a chance that some of them might not make it, and that thought terrified her. They didn't even get a chance to load the supplies into the cars. In other words, they were fucked.

Maya's POV

Rick slammed shut the barn doors as walkers surrounded them. Her and Carl were panting in a corner. The doors started shaking as more walkers were banging on them, trying to get in.

Rick looked around and found a canister of gas.

"Right, Maya, climb up. Me and Carl are gonna pour gas all over the floor." Rick explains and she nods, quickly climbing up the ladder. She was scared, but she felt safe with Rick.

The two quickly spread gas all over the floor as she watched them, the doors kept on banging, due to the walkers trying to get in, she was surprised they were holding out for so long.

"Up there. Hurry." Rick urges his son.

"Well what about you?" Carl asks his dad, he was worried about him.

"I'll be right there." He promises and hands him a lighter. "Drop the lighter when I say. We'll stop some of them from reaching the house and distract the others, so at least we'll have a chance." Carl starts climbing up the ladder and stops, Rick grabs his shoulder. "Hey-hey, look at me. You can do this." Carl nods his head. "Carl- I love you."

Carl nodded and quickly climbs up the ladder, she knew why he said it, in case he dies. She wish she got to say goodbye to her father before he died.

Rick starts banging on the doors, getting their attention.

She looks at Carl, who was at the top of the ladder, quickly joining her. They watched as Rick opened the barn doors.

"Hey! Hey! You want some?!" He walks backwards as the walkers stumble in, reaching for Rick. "Come on! Over here! Come on!" He climbs up halfway of the ladder and looks at the pair of them. "Carl, now!"

Carl lights the lighter and drops it, the gas bursting into flames.

Jeremy's POV

The car bumps and he whacks his head on the car frame, struggling to keep his aim on the walker, and hitting it in the shoulder instead of the head.

"Keep it steady!" Glenn urges his girlfriend, who was driving the Ford.

"I'm trying!" She calls back.

He cocks the gun again and shoots a walker, killing it instantly.

There were three cars driving back and forth, trying to kill as many as they can while the others get to safety. Then they can draw them off the farm and somewhere else before coming back.

They passed Andrea and T-Dog in the blue pick up once again.

"There's way too many of them!" Damien shouts at him and he nods.

There was way too many to take out. He shoots again but hears a click. Dammit. He sits back down in the car. The only ones shooting now were Glenn and Damien.

"I ran out of ammo." He tells Maggie who was trying to keep the car steady.

They were running out of time, fast.

Amy quickly drives past, and he sees Richie shooting at a walker, killing it instantly. Tabby and Harriett were aiming now and again, to shoot at them.

Damien sits back down.

"We're gonna run out of ammo before making a difference." He pants.

"Or gas." Maggie says, turning the vehicle around.

Jeremy looks at Damien's gun." "May I?" He asks and Damien hands him the gun, and he sticks his head out again, both him and Glenn on the same side, and he shoots at a large walker, killing it instantly.

Summer's POV

She managed to get a rucksack of supplies ready, there was no way that the farm would survive after this herd.

"The barn's on fire." Beth points out and they frown.

"What?" She asks and goes to window, standing next to Beth and Patricia joins them, seeing the barn alight.

"They're headed for it." Patricia mutters.

Maybe they had a chance?

"Maybe Rick set it to draw 'em in?" Connor suggests, joining them.

Lori storms in, her hands running through her hair. "I can't find him anywhere."

Carol joins her and Josie had a hand on her stomach. "So maybe both of them snuck outside?" Carol suggests to the two worried mothers which wasn't the most helpful.

"What do I do?!" Lori cries out.

"He was here. He must've run off, maybe looking for Rick or went after Randall himself."

"Maya must've went after him." Connor says, she could tell he was worried about his sister. Over the time, they've been getting close to each other. Okay, she liked him. He was cute.

Lori and Josie were looking worse by the minute.

"Maybe he set the fire." Patricia says and the two women looked out the window with them, seeing the barn on fire.

Oh god if that's Carl setting the fire then he is in trouble.

Noa's POV

Her and Jimmy were in the RV, they could see the fire at the barn.

"What the?" Jimmy trails off.

"Yo!" They look out the window to Daryl on his bike. "Must've been Rick or Shane who started that fire. Maybe they're trying to get out back!" She nods.

"We circle round?" She asks him and he nods his head.

"Go!" He urges and Jimmy puts his foot on the gas, driving away from Daryl and towards the barn.

"Hopefully they're okay." She mutters and Jimmy hums.

"I'm sure they are."

She looks at him at that and could see the fear in his eyes, she was terrified too, they've never dealt with this many before.

They drive by the entrance and could see walkers still walking into the flames. Circling around and seeing three figures on the barn roof.

"Hey! Here!" Rick screams, pointing at an area. "Get in here!"

Jimmy quickly moves the RV into position, being careful not to hit any of the barn since it's unstable with the fire, and having three people on it. They didn't want to risk them falling off.

Jimmy stops the RV and she frowns looking at him. He quickly gets up and looks at the roof, making sure they're on.

"Are they on?" She asks him.

But before he could answer, the door bursts open and walkers were immediately grabbing Jimmy and he falls over, and they quickly bite into him.

Oh my god.

She screams as he does and immediately goes to the drivers seat and opens the window.

She looks back as he was being ripped apart and blood splatters all over her and the window. She slips out the window.

"Noa!" Rick grabs her and she looks up at him. His eyes were wide taking in all the blood on her and she looks at Carl and Maya. But no sign of Shane.

"Head for the woods now, as fast as you can. Come on." Rick urges and she grabs Maya's hand and Rick grabs his son's and they run into the woods to get away from the walkers.

She had no time to think on what just happened, she had to help Rick keep the kids safe.

Connor's POV

He managed to gather up supplies in a bag and he heads to the porch, where his mother, Lori, and Carol, were gathered. Callie and Hershel were beginning to shoot at the walkers that had got past the cars.

"I checked the shed, I can't find them anywhere." Carol says and Lori was looking more and more panicked and his mother looked pissed off.

"Not in the cellar or the attic." Lori adds on.

Lori shakes her head. "Why can't he listen for once?" She looks out to the distance and nods. "Okay, okay, if he followed his daddy, he went that way!" She points out and goes to head off but Carol stops her.

"No! You'll lead 'em right to them. We can't stay here!" She yells at the mother.

"But that's my boy!" Lori cries.

"You're gonna have to trust. If we find him, he's gonna need his mother, the same for Maya. We've gotta go."

It was a moment of silence before Lori nods. She looks at him.

"Get the others."

He nods his head and runs inside, and the rest of them, Patricia, Beth, Daisy and Summer looked at him.

They could hear Lori and his mother shouting out.

"We need to go!" He shouts at them and they nod, quickly leaving the house.

"Ready?"

They look at Lori and his mother who looked hesitant to leave.

"Mom?" He calls out.

Lori looks at Hershel and Callie. "Hershel! Callie!" She looks back at them. "It's time to go!"

She nods and was yelling at Hershel but nothing.

"Come on, now!" Carol yells grabbing Summer's hand.

"Just get off the farm!" Callie yells back and Lori understood, even though he could see the regret in her eyes, Callie was holding the dead off for them to leave.

"Stay behind me." He could hear Lori say to Beth and Patricia as they run off the porch. Lori, his mom, Patricia and Beth were infront of them, he was holding onto Daisy's hand as a walker bites into Patricia's neck and she screams.

Daisy screams out and he yells.

More and more walkers continued to grab onto Patricia and bite into her, he could see Beth holding onto her hand. He could Lori grabbing Beth but saw some walkers notice them.

Oh shit.

"Connor!" His mom screams out.

Shit, he couldn't get to them. They were cut off.

"I'll go to Callie!" He yells out back to her, and drags Daisy back to the house, back to Callie.

They had no idea if they got Beth, but he wasn't staying around to risk his or Daisy's lives. He had to find Callie.

Summer's POV

She could hear screams behind her and grab Carol's hand, they kept on running but wound up at a dead end.

"No!" Carol cries out.

They turn back and were surrounded by walkers. They saw the blue truck in the distance stop and saw people get in. But then immediately Andrea runs to them,

Carol pushes her behind her and grabs a log, ready to protect her.

She raises her gun and the walkers around them drop dead as she shoots each one.

"Look out!" She cries as a walker creeps behind her and they both drop to the floor.

Oh my god. She's dead.

She grabs Carol's hand. "Come on! We need to go!"

They run the opposite direction of the house and towards the road, where it'll be safe.

Jeremy's POV

They saw the blue truck drive away, heading towards the gate.

"Where the hell are they going?" Glenn asks and him and Damien look towards each other.

"Should I follow them?" Maggie asks, they were endlessly driving around and Jeremy could see the walkers' numbers are growing.

"I'd say yes." Glenn mutters nervously. "Swing it around. Swing it around here." He instructs and they stop and a crowd of walkers head towards them. They blocked their path to the blue truck.

"Shit." Jeremy mutters.

"Oh my god. I can't get through." Maggie cries, looking terrified at the walkers banging on the car.

"Maggie, drive." Damien snaps at her.

Glenn nods. "Head out."

This causes all of them to look at him.

"What?" Damien asks, looking at him, Jeremy could tell Maggie looked hesitant.

"Get off the farm now." Glenn continues, looking at Maggie.

She shakes her head. "Don't say that."

"Maggie it's lost!" He yells at her.

"Please do something." Damien says as the walkers surround them.

"The others... we can't leave them." She argues weakly.

"Get off the farm now!" Jeremy instructs her and before she could argue, a walker falls onto the windshield, snarling, his face ripped off and Maggie screams, quickly throwing the car in reverse, and speeds away from the crowd. Making them follow after them.

Callie's POV

She was trying to get Hershel off the damn farm but he wasn't budging, at one point she heard screams but she couldn't leave the man. He will die.

"Callie!" She hears Connor yell and looks back to Connor and Daisy running at her, but she sees a walker creeping up behind them.

She raises her gun and shoots, killing the walker instantly. They jump and look behind them to see the dead walker on the floor. She runs to them.

"Where's everyone?" She asks them. They had tears running down their face.

"They've got out." He tells her.

Daisy sniffs. "But Patricia..." she trails off and she understood. One person gone.

She had to make a decision, and fast. She could either stay with Hershel and risk the children's lives, and they die together, or she takes the kids away, and risk Hershel. She knew what she had to do.

"Hershel!" She yells out but he kept on shooting. She knew she couldn't get to him and she looks back at the kids, looking at her worried. "Come on." She urges and she runs into the direction of the stables, luckily the walkers haven't got to that part yet so it was a pretty forward run with no walkers.

"What about Hershel?" Connor asks her and she shakes his head.

"He ain't leaving. But I need to get you two to the highway." She says determined.

They enter the stables and hear the horses getting agitated, they looked terrified and could hear everything going on.

"I know how to set him up." Daisy says and they look at her surprised.

"Okay. Do it quick." She tells her and she nods, quickly grabbing equipment. She looks at Connor. "Help her, I'll guard the doors."

She quickly goes back to the doors and looks out, not seeing any walkers near them yet. Okay, they'll have 10 minutes to get the horses saddled up and get out. Enough time. Luckily they're close by to the tree line, heading to the direction of the highway, which makes it easier for them to get there.

She could hear them saddle up two horses.

"We're ready." Daisy tells her and she nods.

"Good. They're coming." She tells them and helps Daisy onto a horse.

Connor gets on the second. She was going to share with Daisy, due to her being slightly younger than Connor. She opened the stable doors and Daisy stops her.

"What about the other horses?" She asks and Callie stops.

"Hershel's gonna kill me." She mutters and opens the stable doors to the other horses, giving them an opportunity to escape. She hits the back of a couple which scares them into leaving, galloping away.

Daisy and Connor get the horses to leave the stables and she gets up on the horse with Daisy.

"Which way?" Daisy asks her and she points in the direction.

Daisy kicks her heels into the horse and they gallop into the direction, Connor following closely behind.

She didn't have a choice, they had to leave the others. Her priority was the kids with her, she needed to keep them safe.

Oh my god this was the most chaotic chapter I've written where it kept jumping. But Callie had to leave Hershel, a hard choice but the kids didn't have guns so how else was that going to go down? Let me know what you guys think!
