-that time we decided to take over a world-
Things were quiet for the next few minutes as everyone, even the mechanorimon scanned the area.
There wasn't much to see. The sky was blue and cloudless, the ground was smooth concrete in what seemed to be 10ft square sections, and it seemed to go on forever, stretching way into the horizon in all directions. The temperature was a bit on the warm side, and there was no wind.
"Some world this is." Henry said.
"Well, this definitely isn't home, but atleast we're not in an active warzone." I said.
"It's empty." Phoebe said.
"Well this looks like a good time to break in our new cars." Henry said.
"Yeah, um, Lussy why don't you take one of the mechanorimon up and see if there's any variation on the surface of this place or any structures in the distance or anything?" I asked.
"Ok, which ones mine?" Lussy asked.
"The red one, mine is the bus." Kiera said.
"Ok." Lussy replied.
"How do I get it to not be a car?" Lussy asked.
The mechanorimon responded by changing back to its normal form.
"Oh, it can hear me." Lussy said.
"Yep." Kiera replied.
"HELLO LUSSY." It said.
"Hi." She replied.
-awkward silence -
"Well let's go come on. Open up." She said after it just stood in front of her for an awkward amount of time.
It got on its knees and opened up its cockpit glass so she could climb inside. Not long after, they were in the air.
"Do you think Ophanimon is dead already or will she send the Bubblemen here? Because if she sends them here we might want to get moving." Zari asked, once the mechanorimon was far enough away that it wasn't difficult to speak over.
"No idea." I replied.
"I hope this isn't all this place is or we're screwed." Phoebe said.
"No idea." I replied.
"We could see how deep the concrete is." Henry said.
"Aggron might be able to break it up pretty quickly." I said.
"What if there's nothing underneath?" Claire asked.
"That's a good question, um…. I have no idea." I said.
"You seem to be very short on ideas." Phoebe said.
"Yeah well, you got anymore?" I asked as Lussy came back down.
"Let's see if she saw anything first." Phoebe said.
"There's seems to be some kind of town off in that direction, but it doesn't seem like the concrete ends." Lussy said pointing the way after climbing back out of her mechanorimon.
"Ok well, Phoebe and I will go check that out, you guys wait here." I said.
"I can't go?" Kitty asked.
"Sorry Kitty Kat but the less that come along the less likely we'll get caught by whatever may be there. We'll be back in a bit don't worry." I said.
"Are we taking the bus?" Pphoebe asked.
"Nah come on, we'll take the Laracoy." I said as I got in the mechanorimon that was being a replica of a car I used to own, not thee car, but the same model.
A few minutes later. –
"Fuck, the dash is a bit different from what I remember, but this is, damned near perfect the way it drives. Just like I remember. I gotta give that girl some credit she put some work into this. Even the sound of the turbine, it's dead-on." I said.
"Mmmm, you'll be able to do that soon enough, we still owe her for that show." Phoebe said.
"You promise you won't get jealous?" I asked.
"I'll drive the bus when we get back, and you can have her and Kitty, if there's nothing crazy going on here." Phoebe said.
"And Zari?" I asked.
"Don't push your luck she's going to be on the other bus, but um, maybe Tabby if she's not too sad." Phoebe said.
"And don't you tell me you have a crush on her now too." Phoebe said.
"Well, I am very impressed, this and that show, she's got some talent. It's just missing all the scratches Kitty put in the back seat." I said.
"Just don't let that turn into a crush." Phoebe said.
"Yeah stuff is complicated enough the way it is." I said.
"Mhm." She agreed.
"But you know how things are you know, you and I, we had a huge adventure together, Kitty and I , we had, well we hung around on Paloran for 20 years or so while my daughter was still alive. We were in the U.S.C together, but I was still with Ronny then and she was with, whoever would buy her a drink. And now by some divine miracle I have both of you." I said.
"Yeah, so, be happy." She said.
"I am." I said.
"And don't be mad if we never seriously consider letting Zari in." She said.
"I won't be." I said.
"Good." She replied.
"Hopefully it will pass with time." I said.
"Hopefully" Phoebe replied.
"And you know there would be a lot less chance of that happening if you stopped selling me out." I said, half-jokingly.
"Naaaaaaah, Kitty and I will just have to keep reminding you why you belong to us." Phoebe replied.
When the "town" Lussy spotted finally came into view, we parked the mechanoricar, told it to stay put, to which it blaired an "AFFIRMATIVE" and then we set out on foot.
"Hear anybody babe?" I asked as we walked towards the ominous row of concrete structures.
"Just you." She replied.
"Let me know if that changes." I said.
"I will." She replied.
-a few steps later-
"Ok, well, we can breathe here, so, either we're in another digital world or it can't all be concrete, there has to be some trees somewhere right?" I asked.
"I don't know, probably. Yeah." She replied.
"But they're just past the horizon, like these buildings were." I said.
"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.
The large concrete structures reminded me of grain elevators, nuclear power plants, and German bunkers of the world war two era, so much concrete, but no windows.
"I want to get this on film." Phoebe said.
"You should, for documentation purposes." I replied.
"I will later, I left my camera on the bus." She said.
"Gotta get everyone's human forms on camera too before Kitty decides to ditch hers and never uses it again." I said.
"I'm surprised she was still in it when we left. She's so cute." Phoebe said.
"You both are." I said.
"Whose cuter though?" She asked.
"Whichever one of you is annoying me the least at the moment. So her, since she's not even here." I teasingly replied.
"Oh really? You know I can just use my powers?" Phoebe replied.
"Yeah, you could, but the real question is, should you?" I asked.
"Probably not." She said.
"You know I love you baby girl." I said.
"Yeah, I know. I love you too." She replied.
A few steps later-
What do you think is in those things?" I asked.
"People? They could be thick enough I can't hear anyone inside." Phoebe replied.
"I hope so, I'm kind of getting sick of all the emptiness."
"Ok so, assuming this isn't another digital world, there's no way concrete this smooth would form naturally as well as those buildings." I said.
"Right." Phoebe agreed.
"So who built them and why?" I asked.
"Stop asking questions you know I can't possibly know." Phoebe said.
"Just trying to have a conversation." I said.
"Well, what do you think could be inside those things?" Phoebe asked.
"With our luck? Probably some giant alien monster that's just a few more hits against the wall from escaping." I said.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah and it will bust out like right when we get there and then we'll have to run back to the car and run back to the others and then we'll all be running to fuck knows where until we run out of water and…can the mechanorimon run out of fuel? I don't know, but, yeah…that's how we die Pheebles." I said.
"No it's not you goofball, we're going to be together forever, we'll be ghosts together, we'll still have sex as ghosts together and you'll give me all your ghosts sperms." She said.
"Sure why not?" I replied.
"And you'll be a big sexy gengar." Phoebe said.
"Eh heh, sure." I replied.
"Except we can live forever now as long as we don't do anything stupid." I said.
"True." She replied.
"Promise you'll be with me forever." She cutely asked.
"Unless something like that stupid portal thing happens again yeah, of course baby." I said.
"oh Cj." She said, completely enamored.
"Settle down babe, we're still on a mission here." I said.
"I know, hmmm." She replied.
"What's that noise for?" I asked.
"Stop for a second." She said.
"Why? you hear something?" I asked.
"No I just want to climb up on you." She said as she did so.
"Why?" I asked.
"Nobody is around, it's a big open area, why not?" she asked.
"Ok, but keep listening, don't let your guard down." I said.
"Of course, now mush!" She replied.
"You crazy girl." I said as we continued on our way.
After a lot more walking we eventually made our way over to the group of massive concrete monoliths.
"There's gotta be a door somewhere." I said, my beloved still riding on my shoulders leaving me wondering how long she planned to keep it up.
"Well, um, let's keep going, I don't hear anybody yet." She said.
"Ok." I replied.
We kept walking for some time around the nearest structure, looking for a door or really anything aside from a smooth, flat concrete surface. They all seemed to be arranged in a perfect grid with enough room between them for three or four cars to fit through side by side so they were probably around 24 to 30 feet apart. On the backside of every single one of them was a large steel door like that which would be seen on a bank vault, with a lock that was both too complicated and too substantial for Phoebe to simply bypass with her powers. It was also too risky to teleport inside as it could be full of cabbages for all we knew.
"How much further you want to go?" I asked as the grid seemed to stretch out indefinitely.
"Why don't we go back to the car and see how much further this goes?" Phoebe asked.
"You gonna teleport us or are we walking?" I asked.
"Well I guess you did help carry me here, so." She replied before teleporting us back to the car.
With the ground being flat concrete, the mechanoricars could travel way faster than the mechanorimon could fly in their normal forms. As they really aren't the best at flying. The smooth concrete was a bit slicker than asphalt would be so there was still some caution to be taken. Anyway, thirty minutes of driving later at over 140 miles an hour because there was literally nothing to hit and Phoebe didn't want me to go any faster despite the car being more than capable of it. We finally made it to the end of the grid of mysterious vaults, only to be met with a grid of large warehouses so we stopped to survey the situation.
"Still nobody?" I asked.
"Nobody." Phoebe replied.
A bald humanoid man with inhumanly gray skin lighter than Phoebe's, wearing a brown robe suddenly appeared.
"How did you get here? Who sent you? You're not supposed to be here! Nobody is supposed to be here, this is just a side world I use to experiment with things." He said.
"Wah where'd you come from?" Phoebe adorably clung to me tight as she was scared and caught completely off guard, something she wasn't used too.
"This is my world, I should be asking you. You know it's incredibly rude for one god to mess with the creations of another." He said.
"You're a god?" I asked.
"As you would know it yes. I am an immortal being capable of freely configuring reality to my will. As well as freely traveling across the multiverse. I'm guessing due to the fact that your car is a digital being of some sort and neither of you are from the same world, you lot are some kind of multiversal tourists? Wait a minute, you're both ageless, that's impressive, you know how rare it is for a common being to ascend to that level?" He replied.
"That explains why I never saw you coming. Can you send us home?" Phoebe asked once she regained her composure.
"I'd love too, but to do that of course I'd have to know where your home is, since you are obviously not from here, I do not know where your home is any more than you know what's on the other end of all these warehouses. Just because I can travel freely between universes doesn't mean I know the multiverse like the back of my hand. So to speak." He replied.
"We don't know either but can you atleast send us somewhere else?" Phoebe asked.
"Of course, I know of quite a few other worlds, any kind of one you want specifically?" He asked.
"One that has portal technology that could help us get home faster." Phoebe said.
"Well, I'll let you in on a secret, any world that has portals to it has theo potential for portal technology to be developed if you wait long enough." He said.
"We don't want to wait that long." Phoebe said.
"Ok, well, I do know of one world that does have it currently, but have you heard of the space police? Those annoying little buggers that think they can instill their version of order, enslavement, and justice across all of creation? " He asked.
"Mhm." Phoebe said.
"They've kind of infected it, and as far as I am aware, their god has been absent for some time, so they've basically just been left to do as they please." He replied.
"Where did he go?" Phoebe asked.
"Some of them head off to create new realities, others just mess around and experiment in their side worlds like I was before you showed up." He replied.
"What is in all those vaults ?" I asked.
"Nothing, I was just experimenting with concrete and liminal spaces." He replied.
"A lot of concrete." I said.
"Yeah, well nobody is supposed to live here so it's all concrete." He said.
"No plants for oxygen?" I asked.
"You don't need oxygen here. Or food or anything really, welcome to concrete heaven." He replied, jokingly.
"Anyway let's get you and your friends on the right track home." He said before creating a portal out of thin air that brought us back to the others who were all astounded.
"What the heck?" Henry asked.
"We found god." Phoebe replied half-jokingly.
"We found a god." I corrected her.
"And…..he sent you back to us?" Zari asked.
"Yeah and he's willing to send us out of here as well." I said.
"To a world where the space police are." Phoebe said.
"Why?" Zari asked.
"Because we know they have portal tech. So we're going to need you to kind of get under their skin or whatever." I said.
"I'll do my best, but you know there's a good chance we could be arrested within seconds of arriving." She said.
"I know, but we're stronger now." I said.
"Can you tell us anything more about this world before you send us there?" Zari asked.
"It's been awhile since I visited, but the humanoid population is green skinned, the space police have total control, but there was a rebellion going on in the undergroundcurious woman assembling a rebellious force to fight back. She's the one you're going to want to go to for help." The god replied.
"Can you send us to a the rebel base?" I asked.
"Of course,Um, if you don't mind I'm going to go make sure it's still therewhere she's at." He replied before vanishing.
He returned a few seconds later.
"Yes it is still thereAllright she's at their main base, they're not currently under attack or anything in other words the coast is clear, the space police are also still in control, you sure you can handle this? You know they keep their portals tightly guarded. Allright"
"We've dealt with them before." Phoebe said.
"Ok, I'll put you outside the main rebel base as you said, so hopefully you'll be able to make friends with them, and even more hopefully you can run those buggers out of there.. " He replied.
"Oh and one more thing, before I send you away, if you run into the god of that world, I didn't send you there." He said.
" We don't even know your name." Phoebe said.
"Exactly." He replied.
"Wait we have one more thing too." I said.
"What?" He asked.
"There's a chance that these guys wearing these big ridiculous bubble suits might show up here too, we're not entirely sure, but if you could send them to a different place thaen the one you're going to send us too, that would be great."
"Why are they chasing you?" He asked.
"They want her." I said, pointing to Phoebe.
"Why?" He asked.
"They think she is as powerful as you." I said.
"Well that's a bit ridiculous." He said.
"Well I've blatantly told them to their face and they still don't seem to believe me, but yeah if you could throw them off our tail that'd be great." I said.
"We'll see, anyway it's time for you to go and leave me to my work." He said before creating another portal. We all proceeded through it and ended up in some dark tunnel, big enough for all our vehicles to fit in.
Two large corrugated metal doors sat in front of us, we barely had time to take in our surroundings before a couple of idiot guards tried to hold us at gunpoint. Only for Phoebe to put one to sleep and Iceleomon to clock the other while effortlessly tanking a couple of shots, knocking him out as well. It all happened so fast there was next to nothing the rest of us could do about it. Of course, others heard the gunshots and soon the large doors cracked open and more armed guards filed out and surrounded us.
At that point everyone but Iceleomon, who switched to his digimontal form, surrendered and well the idiot wouldn't listen and, long story short within the hour and without even the slightest intention to do so, we sort of took over the whole rebel base, without any casualtiescasualties atleast.
"You're not the space police. What do you want with us?" Their leader, a young woman with long dark blue hair and dark green skin she seemed to share with her comrades asked.
Phoebe had already gone around and put everyone else to sleep at this point, all of which had dark to medium green skin and hair ranging from dark blue to reddish purple and of course the seemingly always present black or gray. Kiera could seemingly pass for one of them atleast from what we could see with their clothes on.
"We wanted to form an alliance against the space police, but things just kind of got out of hand and um, I guess we own your base now." Phoebe said.
"What?" She asked.
"We'll give it back, don't worry." Phoebe said.
"You better, or we'll tell Yuriour boss." She threatened.
"You knowr boss is Yuri? We know Yuri! I guess that means we haven't made it very far." Phoebe said.
"That is assuming she's talking about the same Yuri." I said.
"She is, I can see him in her head." Phoebe replied.
"Interesting, dude gets around. Unless it's just another version of him." I said.
"Yeah maybe, but the version of him she knows isn't green." Phoebe said.
"So they span across universes?" I asked.
"I think so." Phoebe replied.
"Do you have to tie me up?" She asked.
"Can we just talk?" Phoebe asked.
"Yes." She replied.
"Ok." Phoebe said as she untied her.
"So you want to fight the space police?" She asked.
"We've helped the rebellion Yuri before, anyway we need to get access to their portals so we can continue traveling across the multiverse and hopefully one day make it back home to our kids. However if there's anything else you need done to take the fight to them, we can help with that too, as you can see we're a bit overqualified." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, no shit, what even are you?" She asked.
"I'm a gardevoir." Phoebe replied.
"A what?" She asked.
"Nevermind that it takes too long to explain." Phoebe said.
"There's a lot of stuff you could do for us." She said.
"Well, um, your guys should wake up in a few hours and then we can work something out." Phoebe said.
"Ok." She replied.
"Until then why don't we introduce ourselves?" Phoebe asked.
"I don't know, why not." She replied.
-Several repetitive introductions later-
"And that's our bus, this is Henry's Camaro, and all these other vehicles are the mechanorimon, they're actually robot digimon that can turn into cars, they just got that ability." Phoebe said.
"Can they talk?" She asked.
"Yeah, but they don't say much." Phoebe said.
"And you don't want them to say much, they're really loud and annoying." Kitty chimed in.
"Well don't say that in front of them." Phoebe said.
"But it's true." Kitty said.
"That doesn't mean it's nice to say." Phoebe replied.
"Yeah they have feelings, they're just not very expressive." Kiera said.
"Well what are they going to do really?" Kitty asked.
They all started beeping at her until she covered her ears heavily annoyed.
"That." Kiera said.
"Cj?" Kitty asked like I was supposed to do something.
"Nope, you're not dragging me into this, you walked into that one." I said.
"Don't do that again! Are you crazy? They could find us!" The local leader of the rebel forces said.
"Right, well anyway, that's who we are, now what's your name?" Phoebe asked.
"It's Raylena,." She replied.
"Why hello there Raylena, you want to join us on our bus for a bit while we wait for your people to wake up?" Phoebe asked.
"Is this what I think it is?" I said as Kitty and I both intensely glared at her.
"Um, so you got anything to drink around here?" Phoebe asked, nervously backing down, realizing she was outnumbered.
"And real food?" Zari asked.
"Yeah food." Henry added.
"mhm, we haven't had real food in so long." Claire agreed.
"Um, yYeah I can just take you all to the cafeteria I guess." Raylena replied.
-A bit later in the cafeteria-
"Please don't eat too much it's really hard to get this stuff down here from the surface without getting caught." Raylena said.
"So, how do you communicate with Yuri across universes? Do you have your own portal." Phoebe asked.
"We have one, back to his universe, but powering it up is extremely difficult. So we only do so when we're really low on supplies." Raylena replied.
"That's ok, we don't need to go back there, that's the wrong way." Phoebe said.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Because it just feels like it is. We were there a long time ago, why do we need to go back?" Phoebe said.
"No idea." I replied.
"Is that the world you took me from?" Zari asked.
"I don't even remember." I said.
"Took you from?" Raylena asked.
"I guess we didn't cover this in the introductions, but, Let me reintroduce you again to former space police Lieutenant and former fleet admiral of the Zelusian space forces, Zarina Linerman." I said.
"Ahh, that could be useful." Ralena said.
"It's not Llinerman anymore it's your last name now." Zari said to me.
"I never agreed to that." I said.
"Me neither." Phoebe replied.
"Mhm." Kitty chimed.
"Well I don't want that name that's not even a real name they just pick them from a list , my husband is gone, I don't like having his name anymore, so."
"Pick another one from a list or just don't have one?" I suggested.
"I want yours." She said.
"Let's not get into this right now." Phoebe said.
"You two are married?" Raylena asked.
"MhmThey're not, we've been married for, 104 4 years." Phoebe said.
"We were only together for 4, eh, maybe closer to 5 now." I said.
"105 years." Phoebe said.
"Try twenty, real years." Kitty interjected.
"Oh really where's your ring?" Phoebe asked.
"Really you two?" I asked.
"Yes." Kitty insisted.
"No." Phoebe replied.
"Is she your ex or?" Raylena asked.
"No I'm his wife too." Kitty insisted.
"She's our virara I just let her say that for simplicity sake." Phoebe said.
"Yeah." Kitty finally agreed.
"So you're both married to him?" Raylena asked.
"It's more like I'm married to him, she's married to us." Phoebe said.
"But really more to him, and she does all the cooking and cleaning. She's basically our cleaning lady." Kitty teased.
"That is not how that works at all!" Phoebe said.
"Ooookaaaaayyyy." Raylena replied, obviously confused.
"You get used to it." Zari said.
"And what are you? His mistress?" Raylena asked.
"No, she's just a friend, like the rest of our group, we're all friends." Phoebe said, somewhat nervously.
"Cj can I still get a ring without the wedding?" Kitty pulled me aside to ask me quietly while the others continued on with their own conversations.
"You promise you'll always wear it as a symbol of our love?" I asked.
"Well um, wait, what if it doesn't fit all of my forms?" She asked.
"Maybe we could get like some bracelets instead?" I suggested.
"Maybe." She replied.
"We'll look into it you definitely deserve one by now, you know I love you babe." I said.
"What if Phoebe doesn't want me to have one?" Kitty asked.
"Wellhen she's just going to have to deal with it, I love you both, she knows that." I said.
"Kiss?" she asked.
"Not now, this is awkward enough." I replied.
"ok." Kitty said.
"It's complicated." Zari said, seemingly trying to drive her nuts. I kind of just toned it out when Kitty started talking to me.
"No it's not." Phoebe argued.
"It seems like it is." Rayleena said.
"Ok well um, let's just focus on the objective." Phoebe said.
"Yeah and eat this delicious food." Henry said.
"Mhm." Claire agreed.
"I mean the objective after that objective." Phoebe said.
"I like this one better." Henry replied.
"Pheebles." I said.
"what?" Phoebe asked.
"We should get Kitty a bracelet or something." I said.
"A bracelet?" She asked, confused.
"We can't get one ring that'll fit all her forms." I said.
"Ok, yeah, I get it, that's fine." She said.
"Good." I replied.
"You love her that much?" Phoebe asked.
"I love you both that much." I said.
"You want to match it to ours?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"Ok well we'll deal with that when we have time to deal with that, but you are not marrying her. Rright now we gotta figure out what Raylena over here is planning to do to save this whole world from the space police." Phoebe said.
"We're saving the whole world?" I asked.
"Think of all the portals they have, if we take over we could have our own base of operations." Phoebe said.
"I mean that's a lovely idea Pheebles, but how many of them are we going to have to go through in order to accomplish that? As opposed to just raiding their base and dashing through the…oh wait then we can't take our bus with us." I said.
"Right, and it's doable, we have digimon now and a bigger team than ever." She said.
"I guess it'd be a nice change of pace." I said.
"Seriously, you can do that?" Raylena asked.
"Well we did just beat an evil god from the digital world, so…possibly." I said.
"Yeah, but we got lucky that that thing with the data guns worked like it did. What you're suggesting is going to turn into an all-out war and I shouldn't have to tell you by now that the space police which is actually just the judicial branch of Utopia, the 1st multiversal nation, have a vast amount of resources. And we don't have the goddessesgoddesses' army behind us anymore for support." Zari said.
"We have the sword." I said.
"You don't think they also have ships?" Zari asked.
"They do?" I asked.
"I've never seen any myself, but probably, I doubt they're exclusive to the U.S.C and Zelusian universe." Zari replied.
"Is there no water where you're from?" Raylena asked.
"Not water ships, space ships." I said.
" YOU… HAVE….. A…. SPACESHIP?" Raylena asked.
"Yep." I replied with an eye roll.
"Can I see it?" Raylena asked.
"Nope." I replied.
"Why not?" Raylena asked.
"It's too cramped in here it will blow a bunch of stuff up." I said.
"You're serious though you have a space ship?" Raylena asked.
"Yes'Yes.," I said.
"Or do the mechanorimons just turn into one? Like where is it?" Raylena asked.
"It's in a very special box that was given to us, by a god." I said.
"What?" She asked.
"It's a long story." Phoebe said.
"You met god?" Raylena asked.
"Actually we've met 2 gods and four goddesses from 3 different universes." I said.
"Stop blowing my mind." Raylena said.
"Stop asking questions." I replied.
"You believe him?" Phoebe asked.
"You guys did just show up out of nowhere and ruined my entire operation and Kiera is the only one that really looks like she could be from here." Raylena said.
"Well, that was mostly IceLeomon, he's kind of an idiot. Anyway we're just one big band of inter-universal travelers that enjoy saving places from destruction and tyranny." Phoebe said.
"I see." Raylena said.
"So why don't you come onto our bus with us and we can work out a plan for how to start taking over this world? Everyone else can wait out here until your friends wake up." Phoebe asked.
"I'm sure they have their own meeting room." I said to my beloved, sternly, as Kitty and I glared at her intensely as we knew exactly what she was trying to do.
"I mean yeah, right?" Phoebe asked nervously.
"Yeah, I'll show you, come on." Raylena said.
"buzzkill." She called me telepathically.
"We don't need to sleep with every single girl we come across Pheebles, come on. Behave yourself. That and its better if our whole group is there to discuss things anyway." I thought.
"Ok, ok, but if she wants to I'm not saying no." She said.
"Then you can do that, I'll just spend the night with Kitty. And we'll take it off the amount that I owe you." I replied.
"Wait no." She said.
"Ahah, you do care." I thought.
"Ok you win this one." She said.
"And here it is." Raylena said as she showed us to a boardroom complete with a long table and office chairs. Everyone that could get a seat took one and the meeting began.
"We'll have to wait for a few of my men to wake up so they can tell you more but the documents in all these cabinets along the wall and all we have on the board over there contain everything we know about their operations in this world, from the companies they operated to the politicians they had in their back pockets. Prior to their takeover" Raylena said.
"So they've already move on to phase V? " Zari pointed out.
"What?" Raylena asked.
"Complete takeover of a world's government through political and corporate infiltration." Zari said.
"Yeah, you didn't know that already?" Raylena asked.
"We literally haven't seen any of this world aside from your base here." Zari pointed.
"Oh, do you need a history lesson then?" Raylena asked.
"Sure." Phoebe said enthusiastically.
"It could help." Zari agreed.
"30 years ago the government was operating with its normal amount of corruption. The election that year, this man, Charles Bryce, was elected president of Confria, 2 years after that, the president of south Listania all the way across the ocean went missing along with the Empress of Eudoria. The empress was replaced by her 10 year old son while John Decker the 7seventh assumed the open presidential slot. Not even a year after that they formed an alliance and immediately went to war with North Listania, after overthrowing their dictator, these three countries became the R.A.L.E that is the republic of the alliance of Listania and Eudoria thereafter. Confria, bordered by Eudoria, under the guise of not wanting to start a war joined shortly after and with all the major countries as one, the rest of the world fell in line shortly thereafter or were easily annihilated, forming one world government.
"So Decker and Bryce were probably paid off and an inside officer influenced the empress's son?" I guessed.
"Right, pretty much." Raylena said.
"Yeah that's how they start." Zari said.
"Well, anyway, with Decker acting as a sort of figurehead and Bryce as VP, the space police started cracking down and enacting laws and regulations like crazy, while new, unheard of technologies began to be developed out of nowhere, hover cars, bubble guns, and, most noticeably, new surveillance systems that automatically fine people for jaywalking, along with a litany of other offences. The amount of prisons was almost tripled. Meanwhile, the space police as the public knows it, was announced as being officially created, at around the same time interuniversal portal technology was unveiled, though they've banned anyone but them from using it since. Not that it matters because nobody really knows how to build the dam things anyway and the only way to get a portal machine is to steal it from them." She continued.
"There's a very small team that builds them at the Multiversal HQ and then they ship them out everywhere else across the multiverse. Now, you said they brought hover cars here?" Zari chimed in.
"Yeah." Rayleena replied.
"That's not a good sign." Zari said.
"What's it mean?" I asked.
"It means we're close to a major hub, or they're planning for this to be one. Otherwise they wouldn't bother they'd just use whatever was available for transport here. If we try to take them down here, their response will be relentless." Zari said.
"So we're back to breaking in and running?" I asked.
"We can't leave all our stuff behind." Phoebe said.
"Well, they gotta have portals big enough to get those hover cars through." I pointed out.
"Yes, but those will only lead to more secure worlds. "Zari said.
"Sounds like you might need to hit their research facility." Rayleena said.
"What?" I asked.
"According to some information we managed to steal, a given world can only connect to a certain number of other worlds. And every world is different in this way. The reasons any two worlds can connect aren't known as they very rarely have anything in common. So the utopian research facility was constructed to test all these worlds and find ones which are safe to enter." Rayleena explained.
"But would they be big enough to fit our vehicles through?" I asked.
"Yeah, if there was no sign of civilization around for miles and they needed to take a lot of supplies with them, they would use the larger machines for sure." Zari said.
"So this facility is our target then?" I asked.
"I guess so." Phoebe said as Rayleena started digging through the cabinet of files along the wall.
"Allright then here we are. Sorry information is a bit scant, we never really thought of it as a worthwhile target." Rayleena said as she set a folder containing information about the place on the table.
"Well maybe in exchange we can go after something more worthwhile for you first." Phoebe said.
"I'll have to talk it over with the others." Rayleena said.
"You got any prisoners that need rescued?" Phoebe asked.
"No, not really. The ones we had they already moved to a different world. " Rayleena replied.
"You know if we cut this world off from the ones they're getting supplies and new portal machines from. We could take it over then." I said.
"We are not destroying another portal machine, you know what happened last time." Phoebe said.
"Well we can keep our distance and not get sucked into it this time, besides not all of them explode like that, we've destroyed others before without any issue back home." I said.
"They usually don't do that, atleast the ones the space police build and use. Yeah it will create a spacial distortion if it's destroyed, but as long as nobody is near it it will correct itself without any issues. Or you could just cut the power, if it's off, then it will be inert." Zari said.
"Ok so that's one part of this massive undertaking figured out." I said.
"Not quite, as the portal machines the space police use can be reprogrammed, we can't just destroy the ones they use to move supplies, we'd have to take control of all of the portal machines in this world." Zari said.
"So that could be our phase one." Phoebe said.
"Right. Now we'll just have to figure out how to deal with Bryce and Decker and whoever else might stand in our way." I said.
"Actually it's more like whoever is using them as a figurehead. They would be what Utopia would refer to as a governor rank officerDistrict chairman, and they will have their own team of elite all the forces in this nation, bBut you know just getting close to them is going to be difficult, and doing anything about it will be even more difficult. Because these guys are most likely never going to be in the public eye and their names are definitely not going to appear in the media. And there might be only one here or theirthere might be one for each of the major countries. And then above them is the planetary chairman, who commands them and then above them are the multiversal sector chairmen and those guys are total ghosts, who answer to the grande chairman of the space police, who finally answers to the supreme leader of Utopia but the chances we run into anybody higher than the planetary chairman are slim to none." Zari said.
"That could be phase 2." I said.
"Right and for phase three, we're going to need to set up another government to take the place of the currently existing one. Probably just using our own figureheads we can trust, unless you want to be president of the world." Zari said.
"Not really no." I replied.
"How many bases do you have?" I asked Raylena.
" This one here in Confria and we're trying to set up another one in the Empire of Eudoria, where their culture has somewhat slowed down the space police's progress. You're seriously considering this?" Rayleena replied.
"Yeah, we just defeated a monster capable of destroying entire universes, so, I mean, yeah we're going to be here awhile, but, we can do it. We don't age, if worse comes to worse, we'll just outlive them." I said.
There was a lot of discussions to be had, even more so when Raylena's troops started to wake up and a lot of things needed to be re explained to them.
We planned until we started to get tired. Members of oOur group started to ask where they could sleep and they started leaving one by one until all the newbies were gone and it was just our core group left. We had made quite a large diagram by then, trying to break down this massive operation into simple steps.
The first basically boiled down to capturing as many portal machines as we could and destroying all the others, cutting this world off from the space police.
"Are we seriously going to do this?" I asked my beloved as she crawled into bed next to me once we finally retired for the night.
"There's not really an easy way forward anymore." She replied. "Besides, we both know we can do it."
"I mean, yeah, given enough time, but what's the point really?" I asked.
"Setting up a base of operations, both for us and the resistance, and just having somewhere nice we can always come back too." Phoebe said.
"I don't know Pheebles, we might get too content with that and stop trying to get home." I said.
"Maybe the space police is one of the things we're supposed to help stop though." Phoebe said.
"Maybe." I replied.
"And I could never be content Cj, not without my babies." She said.
"Allright then, we'll see where this goes." I replied.
"I just realized I didn't document any of that concrete world at all." Phoebe said about a minute later.
"Maybe it's for the best? Could you imagine how people would react if we had video proof of a god?" I replied.
"Yeah, maybe, anyway. Kitty? Are you still awake?" She asked.
Kitty's lack of response answered it for her.
"I guess not." I said.
"mmm." Phoebe said as she gently got on top of me.
"What are you doing you crazy girl?" I asked as I looked into her eyes.
"You think I could have a quick ride before sleeping?" She asked.
"If you're quiet, don't wake her up and let her have some fun the next morning." I said.
"Deal." She replied.
"Then I'm all yours baby." I said.
"Good Cj." She said, quietly before we started to make out.
"Just stay quiet and try not to shake the bed too much." I said.
"Right." She replied.
-several minutes of quiet sex later-
"Ok get off. I'm almost there." I said.
"I wanna tie with you." She said adorably.
"and now we're tied, fuck I said as she was squeezing my thing too hard to pull it back out without some pain. Which is a thing unique to gardevoirs and possibly some other pokémon. So we were more or less stuck together for the next hour or so, which is why we didn't do this very often.
"Yeah, see, I still love you, now hold me." She replied.
I pulled her close and very carefully rolled onto my side, taking her with me.
"Before you fall asleep, I'll probably get up early so you and Kitty can be alone together for a bit." She said, softly.
"ok." I replied, doubting I'd be able to remember this tomorrow.
"Love you, and thankyou." She said before kissing me goodnight.
"goodnight you sweet little thing." I said.
"Goodnight." She replied.
-the next morning-
I woke up next to Kitty who was curled up by herself as per usual, and still in her human form.
It was a quiet morning, and one filled with uncertainty as for the first time in a while we weren't exactly sure what was going to happen today, we could just spend the whole day planning while our new friends went about their normal routine of guarding and getting supplies for their base. A few minutes of complete silence passed before I decided to try to coax Kitty into waking up by gently shaking her.
"Whahat? She asked, tiredly and adorably.
"Goodmorning sleepyhead.' I said before kissing her on the cheek.
"Phoebe isn't here?" She asked.
"We played around a bit last night so she decided I'm yours this morning." I said.
"Do we have to start now or can I wake up more?" She asked.
"Of course you can wake up more, whenever you're comfortable baby. I just woke you up because I got bored and wanted someone to talk too." I replied.
"Why?" She asked.
"I don't know, I like talking to you sometimes." I said.
"What do you want to talk about?" She asked.
"I don't know. How come you're still in your human form? I thought you hated it." I asked.
"I didn't think I was allowed to change." She replied.
"Nah, babe, none of your forms are going to blend in with the people here so you can change anytime you want baby." I said.
"Oh, well then maybe after we have some fun, I know how much you love my feet in this form." She said.
"If that's what you wanna do." I replied.
"Cj?" She asked several seconds later.
"Yes my love?" I replied.
"How strong are the space police? I never fought them before." She asked.
"From what I remember, they are strong, by human standards, they don't have any powers but they have a lot of gear to make up for it. The more elite ones that can teleport, heal, and they have the guns that can shoot this strange goo at things that can immobilize people and possibly you so look out for that. Also some might be cyborgs." I replied.
"Do you think we can beat them?" Kitty asked.
"If we play our cards right, and get all these plans sorted out. Zari is great at this, Pheebles is great at this, I'm ok at this. Henry is allright. And then we got you and the other digimon to help with the fighting. We have a stacked deck babe, it's going to be ok." I said.
"Well, if you think so." She replied.
"And if things go bad I know I can rely on you to back me up." I said.
"Mhm." She agreed.
She cutely moaned as she kind of lazily flopped on top of me with none of the grace Phoebe would have.
"Hi." She said cutely as she looked into my eyes.
"Hi baby. Good morning. You know I'm naked right?" I replied.
"Does it matter?" She asked.
"Why you and Pheebles always gotta get on top of me anyway?" I asked.
"I don't know why she does it but I love you and it's fun, and now you're trapped and can't get away." She playfully teased.
"Why would I want to get away? You're my lady, love you." I asked with a laugh as I pulled her into a hug.
"Love you husband!" She said, cutely.
"Oh my sweet digimon wife, why don't we play around a bit and then go figure out where the heck Phoebe went off too?" I asked.
"No shower?" She asked.
"No shower, I know you hate them." I replied.
"mmkayy, so, how should we start?" She asked.
"I don't know, just come here, we'll figure it out as we go." I said.
"Kaay." She replied.
I pulled her into a kiss.
"Love you baby." I said.
"Love you." She said before kissing me back.
We started to make out which eventually led to some extremely passionate sex. Then she changed back to her persiamon form and went out to find Phoebe while I took a shower on my own. Until I got bored with showering, got dressed and headed out on my own in search of them.
It wasn't that big of a base so it didn't take too long to find them enjoying breakfast in the cafeteria.
"Cj come here, we have a seat for you." Phoebe said seconds after I entered.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Breakfast, remember breakfast?" She asked as I sat between her and Kitty.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Did you have a good morning?" She asked.
"It's still morning." I said.
"I mean before this, when I left you alone with Kitty." She said.
"You know I love my Kitty Kat." I said.
"I know and she already told me she had fun." She said.
"And now I feel like I owe you still because I had more fun with her than we did last night." I said.
"Oh its fine, that's all I wanted was a quickie anyway." She replied.
"You sure?" I asked.
"Mhm. If it wasn't I'd let you know and I know you're mine, and we both know we've had way more special times than that." She said.
"Right, ok, so what are we doing today?" I asked.
"Still planning stuff I think, it might be awhile before we actually do something." She replied.
"Maybe we could explore the world some? We still don't even know what's above ground." I said.
"We could, if we don't get noticed. Raylena said there's cameras everywhere." Phoebe replied.
"On the roofs?" I asked.
"I don't know." She said.
"Why are there cameras everywhere?" Kitty asked.
"So they can fine people for jaywalking and what not and make a lot of money under the guise of keeping them safe." I said.
"Really though or is it more of a control thing?" Phoebe asked.
"Maybe a bit of both. Anyway Henry and Zari can handle the planning for a bit while we go out and explore, and you can take your camera and do some more documenting and what not." I said.
"Ok, well, we'll see." She replied.
"Can I go?" Kitty asked.
"If we get spotted we may have to run and if I have to teleport you around too, then I'll get tired faster. Actually how about this? If we don't get spotted immediately we'll come back for you ok? Because usually they don't take long to spot us. So we might not even be gone very long." Phoebe said.
"Ok." Kitty replied.
"Do you think they know we're here yet?" I asked.
"No Cj, that's why this base is where it is, their network can't see down here." Phoebe replied.
"I see." I replied.
"And we still owe Kiera." Phoebe said.
"Yeh we'll deal with that eventually."
"Do you have to though?" Kitty asked.
"That was part of the deal, for that show, you can play too of course." Phoebe said.
"Or you could play with her and I can just have Cj to myself." Kitty suggested
"Absolutely not! She won't go for that." Phoebe replied.
"No more selling me out after this, I mean it." I said.
"I won't." Phoebe replied.
"I won't ever." Kitty said.
"Unless it's to Zari." I said.
"Yeah, not going to happen lover boy. I'm not saying there's no chance, but don't count on it." Phoebe said.
"Yeah don't count on it." Kitty chimed.
"So you want to handle this thing with Kiera now or?" I asked.
"No, let's see what happens today. I'll let you paint our aour nails that should get you into it right?" Phoebe said.
"Heh?" I asked.
"Mine's starting to wear off and Kitty hasn't gotten hers done yet." Kitty Phoebe said.
"They won't stay done, I'm not staying in human form anymore." Kitty protested.
"Its not that big of a deal Pheebles, it's kind of offset by having to use a condom when we play." I said.
"Well even though the people here are green they'll probably still be more accepting of you in your human form. Then, I mean, what even are you half Liepard?" Phoebe said.
"She's a persiamon, and a really sexy one at that, you know that." I said.
"I know, I'm just joking around." Phoebe said.
"Yeah well what are you some kind of bug eyed pencil with inflatable boobs?" Kitty shot back.
"Bug-eyed?" Phoebe asked.
"You're eyes are big and red like a bug's." Kitty said.
"Settle down you two, no need to start anything, you know I love you both." I said.
"Oh it's fine, we're sisters now we're going to fight sometimes." Phoebe said as Zari approached us.
"Can I sit here or . . . "
"Are you going to make any moves on Cj?" Phoebe asked.
"I don't know, but you know I don't want to steal him from you I'm ok with sharing." Zari replied.
"That's nice to know, and maybe someday, but we're still trying to settle things down with Kitty, and well, I mean we're going to be here awhile and there's a lot of men here now, so, maybe one of them will work for you?" Phoebe asked.
"I thought about it, and the newbies are definitely thinking about it, but, I want to be a part of this."
"Ok, well, then. Arceus, you really love him, and I can't argue with that because I love him too and nnnng, I want too but I don't want too." Phoebe said.
"I don't want too." Kitty said.
"I can't if Kitty can't, no matter how much I want too." I said.
"What do I have to do to get you to say yes?" Zari asked Kitty.
"I don't know." Kitty replied as Saphy came over.
"It's just going to take some time." Phoebe said.
"I don't know." Kitty said.
"And maybe some prodding." Phoebe said.
"Hi." Saphy said.
"Hi Saphy." Phoebe replied.
"What are we going to do today?" Saphy asked.
"We might go exploring for a bit and then it's back to planning to take over this place." Phoebe said.
"Ok." Saphy replied.
"Cj are you going to get something to eat?" Phoebe asked me.
"I guess I should, they got pancakes?" I asked as I got up.
"Yeah actually." Phoebe replied.
"Oh I want some too." Kitty said as she got up as well.
"Kitty wait." Phoebe said.
"What?" Kitty asked.
"They don't have much for food, so maybe you shouldn't, because you don't need to eat." Phoebe said.
"Oooh, ok." She replied as she sat back down.
"Same for you Saphy, let's try to be nice. "Phoebe said.
"I'll just share Cj's with him." Kitty said, teasingly.
"That's not what I meant at all!" Phoebe said.
After breakfast Phoebe and I ventured out on foot to see what the world was like on the surface and also to see if we could go on a quick supply run as a thank you for the food.
"Well there's no sign of those losers yet so I guess we're in the clear." I said to her as she donned her puffy white coat as a disguise.
"I guess they couldn't see us come in because of that god or maybe because of that tunnel." She said.
"Maybe." I said.
We were in some sort of mountainous area. There wasn't much to see outside really, a few camouflaged tents covered a few large trucks and a seemingly random assortment of cars, some fuel tanks, possibly full of diesel, but I couldn't tell for sure. There was some grass, some trees, a bit of a forest really and a dirt road going down to who knows where. The base was built in what was probably an old mine shaft, though there was little evidence of this aside from it being a dead end tunnel in the side of a mountain.
"Well there's not really anywhere to go out here without driving is there?" Phoebe asked as we took a look around.
"Doesn't look like it. This place is more in the middle of nowhere than our house was." I said.
"And still is, somewhere." Phoebe said confidently.
"Yeah, in some reality." I agreed.
"Um, why don't we go back and get Kitty and see if they'll let us borrow one of their cars?" She asked.
"Yeah, allright." I replied.
Our vehicles would stick out like a sore thumb, not only are most of the mechanoricars flashy sports cars but all of them are from brands that more than likely didn't exist in this world, the bus and Henry's Camaro were just as alien.
Anyway a bit later we were reunited with Kitty who Phoebe convinced to change back to her human form, and we were introduced to Tanya, one of Raylena's soldiers who she instructed to drive us around. She wasn't the most thrilled about it.
"Come on let's get this over with." She said as she unlocked the car.
"You guys better be legit." She said as we headed away from the tunnel and down the dirt road that led to it.
"We are. But these things are still going to take time." Phoebe said.
"Just keep your head down, last thing we need is people freaking out because they think they've seen a ghost." Tanya replied.
"Oh relax." Phoebe replied.
"No, you listen, it took a lot of effort to build that base we don't need you compromising it." Tanya replied.
"We won't, we'll get you even more bases." Phoebe replied.
"How do you plan to do that though?" Tanya asked.
"We're still working on it." Phoebe said.
"Eh heh. You may have convinced Ray Ray, but not me." She replied in disbelief.
"Well, we will eventually." Phoebe said.
"Well why don't you start off small and help us acquire enough food to replace what you've eaten?" Tanya asked.
"We'll get you more than that." Phoebe replied.
"If you can get her into the store, it should be cake." I said.
"But if anyone sees her we'll have the space police on us in no time." Tanya said.
"That's why I have my disguise coat." Phoebe interjected.
"So what store are we going to?" I asked.
"I'll show you once we get into town." Tanya replied.
"Do I have to do anything?" Kitty asked.
"Why'd you come along if you didn't want to do anything?" I asked.
"So I could spend more time with you." Kitty replied.
"They'll spot both of you immediately." Tanya said. "We should've brought Kiera along."
"She's usually hanging out with the other newbies." Phoebe said.
"The newbies?" Tanya asked.
"Yeah, her, Lussy, Selly, Chally, and now Tabby, they're kind of our unofficial harem." Phoebe said.
"The angel girl?" Tanya asked.
"Yeah, except actually she's a digimon like Kitty." Phoebe said.
"What's her deal?" Tanya asked.
"Her goddess is probably dead. So she might be depressed for a while. We need to cheer her up, but we've been so busy since we got here." Phoebe said.
"Oh, I see." Tanya replied.
"Wait? Harem?" Tanya asked.
"Well sort of, we've slept with every girl on our team aside from Claire and Iceleomon's wives, because boundaries." Phoebe said.
"Way to put that out there." I said.
"Well she's going to find out eventually, the newbies will talk." Phoebe said.
"You have a boyfriend?" Phoebe asked.
"Kind of hard to think about that stuff when you could be arrested for some bullshit charge any day." Tanya replied.
"I disagree, Cj and I got together right before an apocalypse and we've been together for 104 years." She said.
"Four years, we were separated for 100." I argued.
"Did you ever take off the ring?" Phoebe asked.
"That doesn't matter you weren't there." I said.
"But we were still married all that time." Phoebe said.
"Yeah." I admitted.
"And you still thought of me every day even when you were with Kitty and Ronnie." She said.
"Yeah." I admitted.
"Who's Ronnie?" Tanya asked.
"She was his wife, but she got old and died and she's buried back on Paloran." Phoebe said.
"You know that was one of the worst days of my life?" I asked.
"I know, but it's in the past now and we have much better days ahead right?" Phoebe asked.
" Hopefully." I said.
"I know we will because someday we'll have Nina and Charley in our arms again, and Kitty will be there, and you're going to get her pregnant and maybe Zari if we let her in by then, and who knows who else and how many babies and Charley's going to have so many friends. Arceus it will be so cute!"
Kitty and I both looked at each other, and it was amusing to see that even Kitty knew she was crazy.
"Um Pheebles, you are getting way way way ahead of yourself, we don't even know what we're going to do here none the less how we're going to get home, and we are not having that many babies." I said.
"Awwwe, but it would be so cute we could have a little baby parade and everything." She replied.
"I don't want to have babies, I'll kill them, I know it." Kitty said.
"No you won't, I'll help you." Phoebe replied.
"Kitty, when she's like this you just gotta, stop. You know, because she won't." I said.
"Ok." She replied.
"We have Charley and Nina, are they not enough?" I asked.
"They're enough, but Kitty is going to want to be a mom too, and my babies are my babies." Phoebe admitted.
"She doesn't." I said.
"She will, once we're all settled." Phoebe said.
"Mhm, keep telling yourself that." I said.
"Great, we're trusting our whole operation to a throuple of complete weirdos." Tanya said.
"Ok, you know, it's mostly her right?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm the weird one and our group is way more than just the three of us, Cj and I are just, kind of the ones that started it so we're the defacto leaders. I guess we can tell you everything we've done but we don't really have any evidence to back most of it up. I could show you my memories, but it might mess with your head too much and you wouldn't be able to tell if I was being honest or not with that either. I could show you my recordings of the digital world, but that's really just the last thing we've done, it just scratches the surface. " Phoebe said.
"Well then, you're going to have to prove it by getting food for all of us." Tanya said.
"So we will." Phoebe replied.
"Easiest job ever next to taking down their base." I said with a laugh.
"Fuck you." Tanya replied.
"That is kind of mean, we weren't really trying to do that." Phoebe said.
"I know, that was mostly just Iceleomon, but, could you imagine if we were though?" I asked.
"Yeah." My beloved replied with a laugh.
"This car better be full of stuff by the time we get back." A very annoyed Tanya said.
"This takes me back to the first couple years after we got separated." I said.
"When you had to steal to survive?" Phoebe asked.
"Yep." I replied.
"That was the worst time ever. So lonely. No food, a lot of tiny buzzing things that kept biting me, some stupid fluffy things that kept attacking me and they spray blood everywhere if I attacked them back and then it messes up my fur and I have to change form every single time to get clean. And if there wasn't something trying to eat me then water would fall from the sky and then I'd just have to stand there and get wet cause there's nowhere to go inside of, and there wasn't anything I could do about it except get wet over and over again, and then I finally see Cj again and he's married to Ronny." Kitty said.
"You mean the rain?" Phoebe asked.
"Yeah I didn't know what it was called at the time." She replied.
"You realize it was either I marry her or murder the entirety of that kingdom because if I said no they probably would've tried to kill me." I asked.
"But you loved her." Kitty said, with her head on my lap.
"Eventually yeah, not at first though. After being there for so long and nobody else in sight, by the time the U.S.C found us, I was fully expecting to live out the rest of my life there, I didn't even know I was ageless yet." I replied.
"He still misses her." Phoebe teased.
"Well no duh Pheebles. She was my wife for 80 years! Losing her to me, was like losing you. Don't you get that?" I said.
" I get it." She replied in a more serious tone.
"I'm sorry." She apologized a bit later.
"Eh well, one of these days we'll have been together 80 years." I said.
"Someday." Phoebe said.
"Maybe by then you'll have the space police out of here." Tanya said.
"Oh come on now, once we have a good plan it won't take that long." Phoebe said.
"Yeah and then what are you going to do?" Tanya asked.
"Set up base at one of their portal facilities and continue our search for a way home back to our babies, while you and the rest of the resistance use this world as a base to continue resisting and spreading freedom." Phoebe said as we started to enter a town.
" Right, ok, well, this is going to be a long drive." Tanya said.
"We're already in town." I said.
"Not this town, some of us used to live here and there's only one store and they don't get shipments very often." She replied.
"Wait what? We weren't expecting to be gone that long." Phoebe said.
"Well, too bad." She replied.
"That's a long time. We should've taken the bus." Kitty said.
"Then we would have gotten caught really easily, no valid tags, not even a valid brand." I said.
"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.
"Well, I guess I'll just take a nap then." Kitty said.
"You're going to use me as a pillow?" I asked.
"Mhm." She cutely replied.
"I knew I should have sat in the back." Phoebe said.
"Kitty sticks out more than you, thanks to your coat. And if you were back here too we'd all be squished back here." I said.
"I know, but still." She replied as Kitty dozed off.
"Just keep that hood over your face." Tanya said.
"You know we usually have to hide in every world we go to, we're not stupid." Phoebe said as she sank low in her seat.
"Just wait until we get there Pheebles, we'll show her." I said.
"Yeah." She agreed.
It was an awfully long and boring ride, but eventually we got to the city. Which seemed to be pretty modern, we saw maybe a few dozen hovercars flying about, and most of those were being used by the space police, with presumably only the wealthiest being able to afford their own personal ones, and of course it was difficult to be wealthy under the authoritarian regime of the space police. So most of the traffic was still the normal four wheeled kind. Though the cars were very modern-looking, though maybe a bit behind the best that were available in the space fairing universe, which were some of the most advanced I had seen. It's interesting to point out that even there, hovercars were only really used in the largest of terrestrial cities that could really benefit from another form of transport. The reason is simple, in general, they are way more expensive than a normal car, burn a lot more energy no matter what they use for a power source, and they can't carry as much. A few planets used tiny, very well protected reactors to power their's, similar to those used in spaceships, with the reactor powering either radiation turbines, which are turbines that are rotated by highly concentrated, and yes, very lethal radiation beams. These are basically a giant laser with the power equivalent of what we would know as a full sized nuclear powerplant in the form of a stream, another example is if you had a nuclear bomb that just constantly goes off but only sends that force down a 6 inch diameter pipe. So basically if you were on the receiving end of this, it would give you cancer in addition to melting you, if it wasn't encased in a giant block of absorbent materials that's literally designed to survive a direct hit from a tank. Anyway these turbines turn the deadly beams into mechanical motion or when paired with a generator, can make electricity. In addition to the encasing, they are generally designed to cut off the supply of the catalyst in the event of the crash, which makes the reactor a lot less deadly in the unlikely event it is exposed. Others worlds simply went full battery electric, which are cheeper and a lot easier to build, and don't require what we would consider "exotic" materials, but are typically smaller and have less range and cargo capacity. The space police seemed to be using this kind, judging by how quiet they were.
Anyway, Where we parked in a lot close to our target which looked like this worldsworld's equivalent of a Walmart super center, except instead of Walmart it was apparently called "Shoggen's".
"So that place is our target?" I asked.
"Not that place, the trucks behind it. Since the space police took over people are only allowed to use Utopian their currency and they barely pay people any more than they need to just barely scrape by and of course if you break one of their insane laws you don't get paid that dayget paid even less. So when we need to resupply we just wait for one of the delivery trucks to pull in and we take whatever we can from the back, instead of running around inside the store." Tanya said.
"Don't they have cameras?" I asked.
"Yeah, but, we have disguises and you three shouldn't even be in the system." She replied as she put on a mask she had in the glovebox.
"Eh, we might be since we've run across them before." Phoebe said.
"Eh who knows, information travel between worlds can be pretty slow. Not that it matters, if you're as good as you say you are you shouldn't get caught." Tanya replied.
"Do I get a mask too?" Phoebe asked.
"Yeah there's another one in there for you." She replied.
"Ok well, Cj, I guess I'm going to go do some shopping then, so, have fun being a pillow for Kitty and don't get hurt." She said before putting her mask on, stepping out of the car, and teleporting away.
"What the? Where'd she go?." Tanya asked, surprised.
"I guess I should have told you by now, but she can teleport." I said.
"What?" Tanya asked.
"You didn't notice when we knocked you all out?" I asked.
"Are we there yet?" Kitty asked, tiredly.
"Yeah, I think Pheebles is going to handle this one on her own, so." I replied.
"Ok, did we get permission?" Kitty asked.
"No, not right now." I replied, quietly and somewhat embarrassed she had the nerve to even ask such a thing at this moment.
"Permission for what?" Tanya asked.
"Nevermind that." I said.
"Oh right, you're still here." Kitty said.
"Eheh." I replied.
"I wanna know!" Tanya insisted.
"Permission to make love." Kitty said absent mindedly.
"Kitty why the hell would you . . . " I began to say.
"Ew no, not in my car, get out." Tanya interjected.
"We're not going too, I didn't know you were still herewe don't have it." Kitty said.
"We'll get caught if we get out." I said.
"You won't because there's no cameras here, but just keep your clothes on, weirdos." Tanya said.
"You wanted to know." I said.
"I thought you were going to try to kill me or something." Tanya said.
"You realize we already could have killed you yesterday if we wanted to." I said
"Right, Fuck you." She said.
"If I don't have permission why would you have it?" Kitty asked.
"You know what I meant." Tanya said.
"I do?" She asked.
"Yes." Tanya said.
"You sure? I don't know Cj, do you think she's kind of cute?" Kitty asked, making it obvious she was faking it this time.
"She's kinda grumpy." I said.
"Yeah, and kind of mean." Kitty said.
"What did I do?" Tanya asked.
"I don't know, you're just kind of mean and grumpy and we don't think that's very cute." Kitty said.
"Why the hell would I care about being cute, especially to you two?" Tanya asked.
"Cause if you were we could get along better." Kitty said.
"Listen, I don't know what your game is here, if you're secretly elites for the space police or what, but I don't trust you." Tanya said.
"If we were secretly working for them why the fuck would we go and tell you that Zari used to work for them? Wouldn't it be better to come up with a backstory that has nothing to do with them whatsoever?" I asked.
"Well maybe you said that just so you could say that now when it's called into question." Tanya said.
"That's not what she meant Kitty. Fuck, you're lucky you're such a cutey." I said as she gave me this indescribably adorable look.
"Awwe thanks." She replied.
"That was not a compliment." Tanya said with a laugh.
"It sounded like one to me." Kitty replied.
"Trust me it's not." Tanya said.
"Why would I trust you? You're mean and grumpy." Kitty said.
Then Phoebe tapped on the back window.
"Welp Pheebles is back." I said.
"She's back already?" Tanya asked as she got out.
"Yeah I just went in, filled this cart up with stuff and then this other cart and then I teleported the whole thing out." Phoebe said.
"Ok that's kind of impressive." Tanya replied.
"That's my Pheebles." I said with a sigh.
"I wanna help too." Kitty said.
"Go hHelp load it all into the car." I replied.
"Ok." She said before putting her flip flops back on and heading out.
I got out as well as it was weird being the only one in the car at that point.
"If we do this a few more times we'll have enough for the month." Tanya said.
"We'll have to hit a different place, they'll probably catch on if I go in there again." Phoebe said.
"True, well that's another reason why we came here and not to that other town. There's another Shoggen's on the other side and a farm supply store we could hit as well. If they noticed you they'll probably think you have stolen space police tech." Tanya said.
"Any gun stores?" I asked.
"Not since the space police took over. And they've all been picked over already." Tanya said as she opened up the trunk. As sirens blared in the distance.
"Are those for us?" Phoebe asked.
"No idea, not staying long enough to find out." Tanya replied.
We loaded everything we could into the trunk and then started piling things into the back seat.
"Only thing I gotta say is next time try to get more meat." Tanya said.
"Ok. I will at the next store." Phoebe replied.
"Good, also get these carts out of here.." Tanya replied.
"Right." Phoebe said before quickly teleporting away with the empty carts and back.
We headed to the other side of the city where Phoebe did the same thing again without issue and then we were riding in a car so full of supplies we were surrounded by cans of soup and other things. So it was finally time to head back., which was a lot less comfortable and equally as boring as the trip up.
"Here, Kitty, wear my coat and ride up front I want to ride in back." Phoebe said before we set off back to the base.
"Awe, but why?" Kitty asked.
"You know why." Phoebe replied.
"Cj." She said as she snuggled me as we were both half buried in a pile of assorted groceries.
"Hi Pheebles."I replied.
"Love you." She said before sweetly kissing me on the cheek.
"Love you too baby girl." I replied as I pulled her close.
"You going to use me as a pillow too?" I asked.
"Nah, I'm just going to snuggle you." She said.
"Ok." I replied.
"That was a lot of groceries, you're not tired at all?" I asked.
"A little bit, but I don't feel like nodding off right now. Besides there's too much stuff back here now anyway." She replied.
"True." I said.
The ride back was a lot less comfortable and equally as boring as the ride up. Tanya didn't want to talk much, Kitty eventually managed to fall asleep again, and Phoebe and I didn't really have much to talk about so I spent most of it staring out the window watching cars go by while she snuggled me. When we got back they were little surprised with how much we returned with, not enough for much of celebration though and the rest of the day was taken up by planning, planning and more planning.
I'll spare you a metric ton of conversation and give an overview of what was discussed the night before. At this point the Space police had three major hubs scattered around the globe that they used to bring in supplies and potentially reinforcements if threatened. One in Confria, where we were another in Eudoria, and the third in South Listania, , in addition to that there were two research facilities that also contained portal machines which could also be used to bring in reinforcements if reconfigured. Taking them out would be as simple as cutting the power and sending Aggron to flatten the building, atleast for the first one. After that security would go insane and simply traveling between those countries would be a nightmare in itself. So somehow we would have to hit all three of them at once, either destroying them or more preferably capturing them and then dealing with whoever tried to take them back. Which also wouldn't be easy as the entire world would be against us at that point. To even have a chance at this we were going to need more than the 2000200 or so people Raylena had fighting for her spread around the globe. Which led us to another list of targets, the prisons, the space police weren't shy about arresting people as part of a long term plan to basically enslave them, which on this world they hadn't really gotten around to yet. For most of these people, many of which were arrested for extremely trivial reasons, they had very little reason to not turn on the space police. And hitting a prison would not gather near as much attention as hitting a portal hub. The tricky part here being figuring out who is safe to release and who probably should remain in prison.
Finally there was the media, which would inevitably demonize us the moment we even moved towards the space police and turn the general public against us. There were five major broadcasting stations, atleast one for each country, and several substations for local news. These were the softest targets, but getting out a message that could make an impact posed yet another challenge, then again, Kitty was capable of mass hypnosis, and Phoebe could be if she could boost her powers somehow. It was a big complicated mess. Which is why, for the moment, the only thing anyone was really doing, was gathering information. Raylena's soldiers were already somewhat skilled at this, but there was always room for improvement and not one of them could get anywhere close to the prisons or to any government officials, so we would have to do it ourselves or find somebody who could.
The media quickly became our first target, being the softest, and the potential chaos it could cause could reduce the enemy's ability to protect the others.
We spent some time that evening watching it, which was interesting to say the least.
"Hi there! Are you short on money and can't afford to feed your kids? Why not surrender them to the space police? If you do, not only will you receive fair compensation, but they will be sent to one of the best training facilities in all of existence where they will be carefully educated and trained to be a member of the most elite fighting force existence has ever known, if this amazing opportunity interests you, call the number below!" One ad went.
"You think my parents saw that ad?" Zari asked, somewhat disturbed.
"Many have, Yuri said that's their main method of recruitment anymore." Rayleena said.
The next ad was for some kind of soft drink that had nothing to do with anything at all, and then finally the news came back on.
"In Eudoria today, world government spokesperson Skyla Soviva gave a speech to the people who are still unsure about the space police for cultural concerns.
"CRAP! TURN IT!" Raylena said.
"Why?" Phoebe asked.
"I know it seems like they don't have your best interest in mind, like they are trying to ruin your culture and replace it with their own, but you wouldn't be the first that has given into their will and you won't be the last, there are trillions of us . . . . . " She said in front of a large crowd.
She was intoxicatingly beautiful as she appeared on screen, her eyes as deep as oceans, as every word she spoke in her angelic voice seemed to embed itself deep . . . . . .
"WAKE UP EVERYONE! SNAP OUT OF IT!" Kitty yelled, suddenly standing in front of me the now powered off tv in her Lilithmon form.
"WHAT THE FUCK?" I asked wondering how the hell she got there without me noticing. As I had her in my arms just a second ago, but she was in her human form, and she can't teleport, it was just extremely jarring and I quickly found out I wasn't the only one affected.
"What just happened?" Zari asked.
"Since when can she do that?" Henry asked, confused at how she suddenly got in front of the tv..
"What?" Claire asked.
"I don't know." Saphy said.
It basically got everyone aside from Pheebles and Kitty as they were immune and Raylena, and her underlings as they knew to look away from the screen.
"They have a psychic working for them." Phoebe explainedsaid.
"And you couldn't have snapped me out of it or did you fall for her too?" I asked.
"No, unlike with Venusmon I could see right through it but it was funny to watch you zone out like that, but then Kitty had to go and ruin everything, I was going to find a marker andwe were going to draw on all your faces." She said, teasingly.
"Fuck she's more powerful than Venusmon." I said.
"Yeah, don't look into her eyes, ever. I don't know what she is but she's not human. She can make people listen to her. She can put people in a trance and make them become completely suggestible I've seen her bring entire riots to a standstill. She's the reason we all speak the same language even! It took a couple years but she taught almost everyone on the planet. Then the space police made it illegal to use our traditional languages. I take it Kitty can do that too since she snapped us out of it?" Rayleena asked.
"Mhhhmmmm." Kitty eagerly replied.
"I can too, just, not to the extent she can. Not without amplifiers anyway." Phoebe said.
"How long was I out?" I asked.
"Just a couple minutes, anyway so Kitty can help us fight back?" Rayleena replied.
"Possibly yeah. If we can get her in front of a camera." I said.
"I can try. I don't know what I'm supposed to say though." Kitty said.
"That's ok babe we'll figure it out later." I replied.
"Ok." She replied.
"So we still can't watch tv here because it's not safe?" Lussy asked.
"Nope, not really, you never know when she's going to pop up, and they don't always announce it like they did this time, in her first appearance, during the Eudorian riots, which was after the empress disappeared, before anybody even knew who she was, they put her on all channels without warning." Rayleena said.
"Imagine if she was on our side." Phoebe said.
"We don't even know what she is, she could be some kind of alien tentacle monster." I said.
"Whatever you're going to say, don't say it." I said a second or so later as it looked like she was about to say something she'd probably regret.
"Ok and just what are you expecting me to say?" She replied with a malicious grin.
"You know very well." I said.
"You're the one that brought up the tentacle thing you silly goofball." She said.
"Um, well whatever she is she can't be from here, anyway, why don't we watch a different channel?" Raylena asked as she turned the TV back on.
"Ok." Phoebe said.
"What if she comes back on again?" Selly asked.
"She doesn't come on all that often, just when they need to diffuse a situation where they've overstepped or to push their agenda, most of the time tv is still safe, just watch out for her and keep an eye on anyone else that's watching. If you shut the tv off when she comes on anybody affected will go back to normal in a few minutes or apparently Miss Kitty here can bring them back instantly." Raylena replied.
"It's Miss Cj." Kitty said.
"Noooo, you can take our last name, but you are not Miss Cj." Phoebe told her off.
"Ok well, should I go back to my human form or what?" Kitty asked.
"Nah, you're fine for now." I said.
"Ok." She replied as she returned to her place beside me on this huge ass couch they had in front of an equally huge flat screen tv. With Pheebles on my other side, and our friends and handful of resistance members I still didn't know by name gathered around as well. It was kind of a crowded room.
"Love you Kitty Kat, thanks for rescuing me from whatever the heck that was, and not drawing on my face." I said before kissing her on the cheek.
"mmm." Phoebe whimpered out of jealousy which was kind of what I was hoping for.
"You were going to draw on my face." I said.
"I was going to draw on everyone's faces. It would've been funny." She replied.
"Tv's back on now you two." Henry said.
"Right, sorry." I said.
"Shhh."Claire shshd us as Phoebe snuck a kiss on my cheek as well.
"It would've been funny." She said to me telepathically.
"What were you going to draw on my face exactly?" I asked.
"That's for me to know and you to never find out. Now I want my kiss." She replied.
"You already kissed me." I replied.
"No, I want you to kiss me." She said.
I kissed her, as it really wasn't worth fighting over.
"Baby why don't we spend tonight alone together? I wanna feel closer to you." I said.
"You think so?" She asked.
"Yeah, you know I love you babe." I replied.
"I know." She replied.
"And you've been a little grumpy today and, is it because of Ophanimon?" I asked.
"That and, well we have a lot of work to do before we can move on from this place as well. And an even longer time before we're ever going to get home." Phoebe said.
"Oh honey if we go through enough worlds we're going to get stuck in one for a while eventually." I said.
"I know, but it still sucks and if we're spending the night together what about Kiera ? " She asked.
"She can wait another day." I replied.
"I don't know, they've been talking to some of the resistance members." Phoebe said.
"That's fine, we knew this arrangement wasn't going to last forever and even then we'll just have to find some other way to pay her that debt isn't just going to vanish." I said.
"True, but this is the easy way." Phoebe said.
"For you." I said.
"I know you like Chally and Lussy though, atleast. What if we make them and Zari our viraras and then you can go ahead and marry Kitty too?" She suggested.
"Don't be ridiculous this is complicated enough as it is, that and both of them and Kitty would have to agree to all of that and Kitty I know is not going to be ok with it, she's not ok with letting Zari in, those two are a no brainer. They're great girls but, I don't feel about them the way I feel about you two." I said.
"Yeah, I get it." She replied.
"You'll really let me marry Kitty though?" I asked.
"No, only if you do all those other things." She replied.
"I am not giving you up ever you will always be my husband and she will always be our virara." She insisted.
"Fair enough, atleast you love me." I said.
"You know I do, second only to our babies and I want to love her too and we're getting there and I'm ok with us both being at your side, but I'm your wife first and foremost." Phoebe replied.
"Well if that's the way you want it that's the way it's going to be." I said.
"Good Cj." She replied.
With that I pulled her a bit closer and snuggled her while we cast our attention back on the tv which was now showing some random soap opera instead of the news. Conversation picked up again as it failed to catch anyone's interest.
"So if we're going after the media first, what station are we going to go against?" Henry asked.
"Eudoria, obviously since they're already not completely stable. I think that would be the best option to kick this whole thing off." Raylena said
"How do we get there?" Henry asked.
"We could get across the border, but none of you have any way to get a passport so." Raylena replied.
"Oh." Henry replied.
"Is it on land?" Phoebe asked.
"Partly, most of it is a river though. Somebody go grab a map. " Raylena said.
"Why are there even borders if it's a global government?" I asked.
"So they can monitor where people go and why and to prevent them from leaving certain areas if they don't have a valid reason. And of course there's always the idiots that try to leave when they have active arrest warrants." Zari pointed out.
"Well anyway if it's on land I should just be able to teleport some of us to the other side, and if it's in the water, if we had a boat we could do the same thing, we'd just have to get over there, o if its narrow enough I could get us to the other side. I can't swim very well." Phoebe said.
"You can teleport?" Raylena said.
"I probably should have mentioned that." Tanya said.
"Yeah, you should have." Raylena replied.
"Anybody else have any powers?" Raylena asked.
"I can punch things!" Iceleomon said.
"We knew that already." Tanya said.
"I can manipulate water, I've been working on becoming a better fighter too." Saphy said.
"I can also read minds and I can move stuff with my mind and throw shadowballs and put people to sleep, but Kitty is better at hypnosis and she's also better at fighting close quarters." Phoebe went on.
"Mhmm." Kitty agreed.
"And Challey can walk outside in the cold with barely any clothes on." Phoebe said.
"So can we." Elishen pointed out.
"Ok." Raylena replied.
"Tabby can create and shoot arrows out of thin air, and wait where is Tabby?" Phoebe asked.
"She's been keeping to herself all day." Lussy said.
"You're supposed to be keeping an eye on her!" Phoebe said.
"And Violet and Lilly can do stuff with plants when they're not busy screwing eachother." Phoebe said.
"Pheebles." I scolded her.
"Well what else would they be doing right now either each other or Tabby?" Phoebe said.
"Not with the mood she's in." Lussy pointed out.
"Ok I've been talking to Kiera." Phoebe said to me telepathically.
"What?" I asked.
"I can talk to anyone like this you know, not just you, except the digimon I can't tell if they can hear me or not because I can't read them." Phoebe said.
"Yeah I know. So what did you work out?" I replied.
"When this starts to wind down and people start leaving why don't you go to the bus and I'll send her after you a bit later, that way we can get this taken care of tonight, and we can still spend the night together as husband and wife."
"And Kitty?"
"You mind playing around with her tomorrow morning?" Phoebe asked.
"I don't mind playing around with you or her anytime." I said.
"Ok well after you leave I'll tell her that she has permission for that then so she won't get grumpy." Phoebe said.
"Ok if she can get up that early." I replied.
"She will if she wants you badly enough." Phoebe replied.
"Hello you there?" Raylena asked.
" What?" I asked.
"They do that a lot get used to it." Henry said.
"Do what?" I asked.
"Just space out like that when you're talking to each other." Henry said.
"Yeah we do do that a lot sorry what'd you want?" Phoebe asked.
"What are you talking about?" Kitty asked.
"How adorable you are." I replied, making her smile at me.
"Should we really watch a movie though or should we go back to planning?" Phoebe asked.
"We got all the time to plan, besides this will help you get know more about the world you're going to take over." Raylena replied.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Phoebe said.
"What?" I asked.
"We're going to watch a movie." Phoebe said.
"What movie?" I asked.
"I don't know, she'll pick one." Phoebe replied.
"I'll see if I can find one made before those ass hats took over." Raylena said as she scrolled through the channels.
"What if we split up and the newbies can watch movies while we focus on planning?" Zari suggested.
"Eh it's just one movie. Anyway do they have popcorn here?" Henry said.
"Yeah we do actually, Tanya go make a few bags." Rayleena said.
"Fine." Tanya replied.
"Anybody wanna go tell the flower girls to get their butts out here?" Phoebe asked.
"I'll go." Saphy said.
"Saphy if you're not back in ten minutes I'll go looking for you." Phoebe said.
"No you will not." I said, knowing exactly what would happen.
"Well then we'll both go." Phoebe said.
"Ok." I replied.
Tanya came back with two large bowls filled with popcorn and Saphy came back with Violet and Lilly who suspiciously looked like they just got out of bed.
"They look so tired." Kitty said before standing up and reverting to her persiamon form so she could smell them to sate her own curiosity.
"Yep Phoebe is right, they've been messing around all day." Kitty said out loud, getting a few laughs out of the others.
"Kitty Kat come on babe, don't embarrass them." I scolded her.
"Ok everyone is here, we got popcorn, its movie time." Raylena said
"How are they not bored of each other by now?" Phoebe said to me telepathically.
"Maybe we can get the newbies to keep an eye on them along with Tabby?" I asked.
"Maybe, those three really need to fit in with our group more." Phoebe said.
"Give it time, they haven't been with us all that long." I said.
"I know, I know." She replied.
"Popcorn?" Kitty cutely asked as she offered me the bowl.
"Yeah, allright." I said, taking a handful of the stuff before passing the rest off to Pheebles.
Raylena went and started the movie, which looked like it was made in the 80s, the entire cast were dark green humanoids that were native to this world. We didn't so much watch it as question every single minute of it. Was this city the opening scene was set in real? Is that interestingly shaped building\landmark real? Is or was that a real government organization? Do you guys really have cars that can deploy pontoons and speed across water like that? Why are your fire extinguishers orange? A roughly hour and a half long movie turned into a 3 hour history lesson as we questioned nearly everything.
After that I went to the bus alone, and waited for a bit for Kiera to show up as planned.
"You ready for this?" She asked as she came onto the bus.
"What do you think of our new friends?" I asked.
"They seem nice, but, we all kinda got feelings for you and Pheebles, except for Selly, she still wants her own harem of men." She replied.
"Babe, you're beautiful, but aside from weird stuff like this, you're probably never going to get in." I said.
"We can still be your harem though, If we want. Besides, we're all ageless now." Kiera said.
"I don't know why you would want too, there's plenty of other guys here." I said.
"But they'll all eventually grow old and die and there's no guarantee we'll ever run into somebody that can give them eternal life." Kiera said.
"Yeah, but you can still mess around with them while we're here for fun." I said.
"Selly might, but the rest of us are sticking with you." Kiera said.
"Too much time on the bus huh?" I asked.

"You remember, you didn't recruit me like the others? I tracked you down. I left my father behind." Kiera said.
"I remember that very well, and honestly you've proven to be just as capable as them anyway, and you've all left stuff behind so I don't really get your point there." I said.
"And you're our new stuff now and we don't want to leave you." She said.
"I like you all, but, I can't love you all you know? It's hard enough trying to get things to work between Pheebles and Kitty, and Zari to some extent." I said.
"Well we have eternity to figure this out now, I'm sure we will eventually." Kiera said.
"We'll see." I replied.
"So do we have to do it on here or maybe we can break in the new bus?" She asked.
"The one that's a mechanorimon? I asked.
"Yeah but I told you I put a switch in it, it doesn't have to know." She said.
"Does it even have any blankets?" I asked."
"Yeah, its fully equipped come on." She said as she pulled me towards the door.
-a bit later on the new bus-
"See it's nice and soft." She said as I tested it out.
"Yeah, like a marshmallow." I said as she laid beside me.
"You ready?" She asked after locking lips with me with an odd amount of passion.
"Yeah, ok." I replied.
"I was going to get a dress and get my nails done, but, this got pushed back so far I was starting to think you'd both decided to snub me." She said.
"Nah, we're better than that. Let's get this over with." I replied as we started to kiss.
She kissed me as I tried to get my pants off.
"Don't treat it like that, you know this will be fun for both of us." She replied.
"Yeah." I said.
"You can pretend I'm her if you have too." Kiera said.
"I like you, but we'll just have to ease into it you know?" I replied.
"Yeah, I know." She said as she started to stroke me.

"Good, because this is probably going to be the last time for a while." I said.

"Yeah, but I really just wanna be with Pheebles and or Kitty, it has nothing to do with you, it's just, I love them." I said.
"Yeah, I get it." She replied.
"Good." I said.
"Oh you went to the new bus. Are you guys done yet?" Phoebe said as she came onto the bus.
"There's my baby girl." I said as I moved so I could get a look at her.
"You have fun?" She asked.
"It was ok, not as fun without you or Kitty." I said.
"Maybe she could stay for round two then?" Phoebe asked.
"Maybe." Kiera said hopefully.
"Eh we'll see. Where's Kitty?" I asked.
"She's hanging out with Saphy and Zari, they're going to watch some more of the news, so she can snap them out of a trance if that one lady comes back on again." She explained.
"No more selling me out after this ok? This is the last time." I said.
"Ok, unless somebody's life depends on it." She said.
"As a last resort." I said.
"Ok." She replied.
"Now get your little gray butt over here." I said.
"Oh Cj." She said with an adorable laugh as I got up to start loving on her before she could even get in bed.
"Love you so much baby." I said.
"See this is why I let you do this, look how much you're loving on me now." She said.
"You just want me to hug and kiss you all the time?" I asked.
"When we're alone yeah." She replied.
So I decided to see how long she'd be willing to stand there while I showered her with hugs and kisses.
-about 30 seconds of kissing and hugging her repeatedly later.-
"Ok that's getting annoying, why don't you get dressed and we'll go back to our bus? You big naked weirdo." She asked.
"OK baby." I said before kissing her soft little cheek one final time.
"So this is goodnight?" Kiera asked.
"Yeah, goodnight sweety." Phoebe said as I started to locate my clothes and put them on.
"You're sure you don't wanna try this bed?" Kiera asked.
"I'm sure, I'm surprised you talked Cj into it." She replied.
So we went back to our bus just to snuggle in our bed.
"Let me know when you're ready again." My beloved said as we snuggled.
"Oh I'll let you know baby." I replied.
"Or maybe I'll just get you all ready and hyped up." I said.
"Don't get me going until I can get you going, it's not fair." She said.
"Allright. " I said before sighing. "What else is there to say?" I asked.
"We don't need to say anything, we can just enjoy each other's company." She said.
"True." I agreed.
"And you're cute little feet brushing against my legs." I said.
"Yeah you really like that don't you?" She said as she teased me with them.
"I love you baby." I said.
"Just let me know when you want them on your thing." She said.
"I just wanna squeeze you so tight." I said as I did so.
"Cj, hehe." She giggled as we played around a little bit.
"Not too tight." She said.
"I'm not trying to hurt you baby." I replied.
"I know." She said.
"Maybe I should clean her off your thing." She said.
"I don't feel like taking a shower right now." I said.
"We don't have to get in the shower silly, I have a tongue." She replied.
"Well if that's what you wanna do." I said.
"Good Cj." She said playfully as she reoriented herself and looked back at me with pure lust in her eyes.
"No that's a good Pheebles." I argued.
"hmmmnn, you wanna play with my toes too?" She asked.
"Mmm, ok." I said, kissing her feet after she put them in my face, which is how we tended to start things when Kitty wasn't around.
The next few days were basically just an extended board meeting interspersed with occasional sexual encounters with either of my ladies, as we planned and planned. Raylena would send one of her agents out to get information on a target, occasionally Phoebe and I would tag along where she could use her ability to teleport to help take pictures of things and get to places that our more human comrades had no hope of getting to, such as on top of buildings or passed security walls or the eudorian border checkpoints.
Targets in the newly United Republic of Listannia were the hardest to get info on as they were separated by an ocean along with several smaller countries and island nations. A few of which were not under the space police's control, but were unfortunately too small to be of much practical use, hence why even the space police weren't really concerned with them.
Anyway they'd return, pictures would be printed, videos watched, and everything studied carefully, information gained would be pressed into part of a plan, until we had this massive abomination of a book thrown together and it was finally time to move.
The day finally arrived where we were going to hijack the Creakbug news network. Judging by their logo, Creakbugs are apparently what we would call crickets. The main broadcasting station, in the Confrian capital city of Enlandia, about 4 hours across a highway from our base, was our first target. This building was not just a news studio, but it was also the hub for all tv stations in the country. This, combined with it's proximity to the capital, allowed government authorities and now the space police to have easy control over the nation's entire tv network. Conveniently for us, it also meant the whole network had a single point of failure.
Controlling it meant controlling Confria's entire tv network. Kitty, Zari, and several of Raylena's troops for good measure would be hitting this one. Once the building was secure, they would resume broadcasting across all channels, a new show with Kitty in a lead role.
It was just afternoon, during peak hours, which meant most of the staff would be there, but it also meant that so would most of the viewers. The station runs around the clock anyway so there were going to be broadcasts in session and people inside no matter what, Skyla, as far as we could tell, was still over in Eudoria so there was little if any chance of her being an issue, though we would have to pull a similar thing over there eventually, right now we were simply trying to take over the nation of Confria.
"Ok so two guards have been poisoned and another is actually working for us, so that leaves us with these two, that one is standing at the gate and the other is probably inside." Zari said as she held photos of them both.
"So I just kill the guy at the gate and we can get in?" Kitty asked.
"Nah, just get him to come here we'll throw him in the van and tie him up." Zari said.
"Ok." Kitty said.
"So you ready for this Kitty?" Zari asked.
"Let's go." She said.
"Don't get me killed, you know Cj won't like it." Zari said.
"I'm aware." She replied as she rolled her eyes before getting out of the van.
Even though she looked nothing like the people that lived on this world, they still found her Lilithmon form to be very alluring. Getting the guard at the gate over to the van was easy. With him out of the way and nobody at the gate to press the alarm or to watch the security cameras. An entire platoon of armed soldiers stormed the building to gather up everyone inside and keep them contained while one of them, who knew how to work the cameras could help Kitty get on the air.
Now Kitty, in her persiamon form could have easily taken on everyone in that building single-handedly with just her usual sexy but also somewhat horrifying to watch vampire dance technique, cutting them to ribbons before most of them could even react and making a big bloody mess with her claws, especially since most of them would probably just run away, and in her lillithmon form the nazar nail she carries could horrifically liquefy them all on contact, and while she wasn't as fast in that form she did have a lot more attack power, not even the space police's advanced body armor could save them.
However, a bunch of soldiers with guns were still perceived to be a lot scarier than her and were just more effective at keeping people under control, they were there more to keep things from getting violent than to engage in violence. Of course Zari was there mostly to keep Kitty under control and also because I wanted those two to get to know eachother a bit better, but that's another story. Anyway, once control of the building was established, all Kitty needed to do was use her powers and read a script.
"Darkness love, keep this channel on the air, and broadcast it everywhere, the time has come to take up arms against the Utopian Space Police that have invaded your world, lock them all up, liberate your brothers, your sisters, your wives and husbands. Reject their authority, we shall no longer be subject to their rule!" Kitty started to repeat over and over. Earlier we had her recite this several times in addition to the script so she wouldn't mispronounce anything.
The effects of this were slow at first, the first two lines really only applying to those running studio equipment in much more minor stations around the country. Confusing nearly all the other viewers who had no idea how to go about following those commands. The later lines however were a lot clearer and basically pissed off the entire country. People all over formed mobs and gathered whatever weapons they could find, even the staff of the station started to go ballistic and were gleefully released onto the streets. Even when they lost eye contact with her, and the trance should've worn off, their anger didn't subside, and they continued their pursuit of their own free will due to the confidence boost of already taking the first few, often most difficult steps, her powers nudging them over the edge, so to speak.
Eventually at space police command, some officers figured out her powers, and started shutting off the tvs. Breaking most of the officers out of their trance as they were too indoctrinated to retain their anger breaking the trance as normal. Of course, as soon as they were ready they were in their cars making a beeline for the station. Their hover cars, being faster, got there first but they were already drawing fire before they could land outside. That said, despite well-armed resistance, they eventually they had the place surrounded, thought they were unable to breach the interior.
Meanwhile on the outskirts of Enlandia, a few dozen miles away from that, was the crown jewel of the space police infrastructure, the RALE Supermax prison, the main building of which was an extremely imposing cross-shaped structure the size of a skyscraper made almost entirely of reinforced concrete. Surrounded by four guard towers and a double razor wire fence. It was home to tens of thousands of non-violent prisoners, despite the insane security measures. This would be our second. Phoebe and I were going to be setting some people free, Saphy, Tabby, Lilly, Violet, and IceLeomon also came along as this was where we were expecting the most resistance. Thankfully IceLeomon could actually ride inside a car in his human form. We were riding in an ugly ass European-looking high roof van, so there was plenty of room.
At the moment, we were just waiting in the van about a block away from the prison for Zari and Kitty to succeed with Phoebe, who as a psychic was mostly immune to her powers, watching her broadcast on a borrowed smartphone of all things.
We were going to go as soon as the space police showed up, but the sirens went off in the prison before that, as some of the prisoners had also seen the broadcast and this led to another riot within the prison.
"You hear that?" I asked.
"Is it those stupid dummy space police?" Phoebe asked, apparently not completely immune to Kitty's powers."
"No baby the sirens are going off in the prison." I said.
"They spotted us already?" Saphy asked.
"I don't hear any police cars coming this way." I said.
"Pheebles quit watching her, take me over there." I said.
"Is it time to fight?" IceLeomon asked.
"Not quite yet but it is time to break in, their security should be way more focused on what's happening inside the walls and not on the outside. Perfect moment to strike." I said.
"Pheebles come on give me your hand." I said.
"I want to watch her." She said.
"She's just reading the same script over and over again, you helped write it." I said.
"But I hate the space police so much, remember that time they shot me? " She asked.
"Remember the time after that?" I asked.
"Yeah but it hurt really bad before then." She replied.
"Yeah but."
"Oh and I am so glad she's yours right now, she's hot. Arceus, look at those boobs." She said, interrupting me with her classic level of perverseness.
Saphy used her powers to spray the phone out of her hand with a jet of water, which also destroyed the phone.
"Saphy what the? Why? That wasn't even my phone it was one of Raylena's guys." Phoebe asked.
"Obviously you're not completely immune to her powers." Saphy pointed out.
"Arceus, you're right, I'm not." Phoebe said after taking a moment to think.
"Let's go, come on, time wasting, let's do something about those stupid dummies you hate so much and then if everything goes right. You know if let her play with me she'll let you play with her." I said.
"Right, let's go." Phoebe said as she offered her hand.
She blipped us a few blocks closer to the prison, then I sent out Aggron, and instructed him to smash a hole into that massive concrete building. The nearest guard tower started to open fire on him, he made his way over there and smashed it. The other guard towers didn't even try. I stayed there, watching from the safety of the alleyway while Phoebe went back to get the others still waiting in the van. A minute later the space police received word of a giant metal dinosaur attacking their precious prison, while they were still trying to deal with the situation at the station. Also riots were forming everywhere but they were still the lowest priority.
Aggron chipped away at the massive concrete building, which proved to be impressively hard, he was making progress as a few hover cars arrived, but not as much as one would expect. Officers got out and started using their trademark bubble guns to try to immobilize him, only to get restrained by our team of digimon and knocked unconscious by Phoebe. Normal cars started to arrive en masse, Tabby shot a few of them and the road quickly became a log jam. bubbleguns were being fired in all directions turning most of the ground a sickly orange. Lilly and Violet used their powers to ensnare them in vines. Saphy used her ranamon form's draining rain ability to sap them of their energy which given enough time, would drain their energy to the point where they could barely stand, let alone fight, and she could use this ability while behind cover.
Phoebe got me a bubblegun, and I started taking potshots at the flankers, as well as degooing the others if they ever got hit. Mostly Aggron and IceLeomon. They also went after the flankers, the ones that were either smart or unlucky enough to get outside of Saphy's area of effect as Phoebe did her usual thing of putting as many as she could to sleep.
We still had things under control and stuff hadn't gotten too violent yet.
Elsewhere, some of Raylena's crew were hitting 2 smaller, less secure prisons simultaneously along with the newbies, Henry and Claire, and the mechanorimon. With all the stuff going down in Enlandia, these really only drew the attention of the local police. With the mechanorimon really shining with the offensive capability of their normal forms being the main strategy behind breaking into the place, and in their new forms when it came to escaping, with damage resistance similar to a light tank, and all the speed of the sports cars they resembled there was very little the space police could do to stop them without resorting to heavier weapons the local forces responding didn't have access to.
Alongside that that they would also be shutting down what we believed to be the surveillance hub, a building where a bunch of people loyal to the space police stared at screens all day looking for reasons to get people arrested.
Finally, thanks to Kitty, riots and the random chaos that comes with them were breaking out everywhere.
The situation at the prison became extremely dire for the space police, Kitty's spell turned out to be more effective than we thought as prisoners started to emerge from the front gate before Aggron even broke through, even some of the guards fell under its effect. Of course there was already a huge number of space police vehicles and incapacitated officers outside at this time with new ones arriving every so often.
Escaped prisoners started stealing and driving off in the multitude of abandoned police vehicles heading to who even knows where, and while they were escaping, a couple of armored personnel carriers showed up along with a helicopter. Smashing through and damaging several of their own cars and making quite an entrance. They started firing machine guns at Aggron, not knowing how pointless that was, as a bunch of elite officers in their fancy self-healing armor teleported out of it which was a little bit more thought out as they were using the heli or possibly some nearby cameras to spot for them with one teleporting in directly behind pretty much everyone but me. These were not cyborgs, like we had seen before but humanoids with a lot of nice gear. One tried to attack Iceleomon and got completely clobbered. Another behind Tabby which put up enough of a fight it kept her from taking out the helicopter. One actually managed to grab Phoebe, and about had her, but then she decided to teleport both of them into the air then she went for his helmet, as they fell. He used his hands to try to keep his helmet on his head and, while he succeeded at that, he let go of her. Then she teleported away without him and let him fall, he hit the ground before he could think to teleport as well. Then she knocked him out while he was on the ground writhing in pain as his armor wasn't penetrated so the healing cream wouldn't release. Then she teleported over to me. To make sure I didn't have to fight one too as a second one teleported to what would have been directly behind her to apparently try the exact same thing again, only she wasn't there anymore. A few others went for the prisoners.
"Fuck! Pheebles! Seriously don't do that! " I said as I about bubbled her.
"There isn't one after you?" She asked.
"I guess they don't see me." I said.
"Good." She replied.
"You allright? I can't believe that asshole got his hands on you." I said.
"Better than he is. Sorry I really didn't see that coming." She replied.
One fired a bubble around the corner without warning, which managed to hit Phoebe. I fired back, which pinned his hand to the building on the opposite side.
"That's Assault!" He said as I proceeded to pin the rest of him to the building and then immediately broke Pheebles out of her bubble.
"That was annoying. We were trying to have a conversation." She said before knocking our assailant unconscious.
"Damn, you're off your game today." I said.
"I thought they didn't send anyone after you." She said.
"I didn't think they did, let's get out of here before more show up." I said.
"Right." She replied before taking my hand and teleporting me up out of the alley and up the street a little bit before going into another alley.
Saphy digivolved to Oceanamon and started to fight her elite opponent close up, using every ounce of her training and holding her own against her well trained opponents. The flower girls were briefly pinned to the ground before using their ability to both conjure and manipulate vines to pry their attackers off of them. Neither of them were happy about being thrown to the ground like that and they were not kind. They squeezed him so tight his armor cracked and his visor shattered. Only saved by the fact another showed up and brutally punched Violet in the face, knocking her down again and earning the wrath of Lilly for his trouble.
The apcs finally realized their low caliber machine guns did nothing to Aggron and focused on IceLeomon instead. The helicopter also opened up its side door and opened fire. He was hurt but managed to get to cover around the side of the building.
"They're using lethal force now we gotta start stepping up too, Tell Aggron he can go for those apcs and get me into that guard tower, we gotta do something about these machine guns. Why isn't Tabby hitting that chopper?" I said.
"She's busy fighting one of the teleporter guys, trying not to kill them, anyway let's go." Phoebe replied before taking my hand and teleporting away.
In the guard tower, which was abandoned about as soon as Aggron creamed one of the others what seemed like half an hour ago, there was a conventional machine gun and also what seemed to be a heavier bubblegun. Both of which were mounted on a sort of circular railing that went all around the room. I got ahold of the normal one and pointed it at the helicopter, unsure if the bubble variety could actually bring down the helicopter. I pulled the trigger and shot it up pretty good before it turned prompting me to duck, as it tried to return fire, cutting the gun off of the railing, ruining it, shattering some glass and sending bits of concrete everywhere before the chopper itself careened out of control and crashed in the middle of a street in a decent sized explosion.
I didn't have much time to watch that before I got kicked by an elite that teleported in to make sure I was dead only for Pheebles to teleport back in as well to check on me. She held him back with her telekinesis, allowing me to easily remove his helmet so she could knock him out. Then we got the hell out of there before more showed up.
"You wanna stay here for now and just watch things?" I asked.
"Let's just watch for now." She replied.
Aggron made his way towards the apcs trying not to squish any of the now very many unconscious officers on the ground, the apcs went back to shooting at him, and then started to casually back away as he got closer, and then seemed to attempt to turn around and run as he got even closer but, being surrounded by abandoned police cars, took too long as the gigantic pokémon closed the distance. Hitting the first so hard that, while it didn't seem to take too much damage, the wheels popped off their studs and oil started to leak out of it. The driver and gunner climbed out and teleported away as he overturned the second one, which actually got it pretty easy as the first one then began to smoke and caught fire a bit later. Which got big really fast as the oil puddle underneath it also lit up which was the beginning of this turning into a total shit show as there were a lot of cars now in a very small area, and a fire, the perfect ingredients for a massive chain reaction. All this as former prisoners were still escaping from the building and running away on foot as others before them had already made off with nearly every vehicle that was still drivable.
"Get Saphy on that fire, it can't spread it will burn down the whole block." I said.
"She's busy fighting that guy." Phoebe said.
"Well go unbusy her. And have Aggron go back to attacking the prison." I said.
"Actually, you think maybe we should just return him and get out of here instead? What are they going to send next? You know more of those things are probably on the way, and if they send hover tanks Aggron will get hurt." She said.
"Yeah, you're probably right, prisoners are already streaming out and he's not chipping it away as fast as I thought he could. Tell everyone it's time to pack up and go, next target." I said.
Saphy put the fire out with her water manipulation powers then we got out of there and escaped to another big ugly euro van that was parked in a camera-less alleyway a few blocks away before all this even started, just in case they noticed the one we arrived in.
At this point the riots were a problem as well and the space police now had a great deal of their assets on hand heading to the prison, where nothing was happening anymore. We passed by 4 more apcs presumably loaded with elites and 2 hover tanks without being detected as we blended in with more normal traffic.
I actually did get a chance to read through some documentation on these tanks. They were just as armored and even more mobile than the apcs, and capable of low level flight like the hover cars. According to what information we could get, there are two variants, one armed with just a 10mm machine gun, intended for riot control, and another armed with a ironically old fashioned but still very powerful 75mm cannon designed specifically to have very low recoil, that can fire both he and armor piercing rounds which would be enough to seriously hurt if not kill Aggron, both variants also have a smoke dispensing system, a missile countermeasure dispensing system, and a coaxial 10mm machine gun. It was powered by a small reactor. This was concerning as it meant they had some ability to build spaceships. Though it was basically the most primitive version of a spaceship engine lacking even a hyper drive, and ancient by the space fairing world's standards, it meant they had access to materials required to make the parts necessary for interstellar travel.
Anyway, even with all the digimon, taking them down would be difficult, so it was best to avoid engaging them if possible unless we could get our hands on something heavier. We didn't have Dianamon with us anymore and it wasn't clear if Tabby's arrows could penetrate them.
There were heavier tanks at an old national guard depo which was now operated by the space police. It acted as a storage and maintenance facility for Confria's old military vehicles that the space police kept around for economic reasons as they had yet to set up the facilities to manufacture their own military spec vehicles here. All the hover tanks and cars had to be brought over the slow way.
Raylena's soldiers, some of which had military experience and actually knew how to drive these tanks, would be handling this target on their own, fighting against a handful of loyalist military personnel that were loyal to the space police for a variety of reasons, most just needed the money.
Everything devolved into chaos as a bunch of angry people converged at the old capital building, which was now basically just a regional headquarters for the space police, where an unelected district chairman unknown to the public secretly ran things, using supposed President Bryce as a figurehead and if needed, a fall guy. With the current global capital being all the way over in Listania, nobody seemed to have any clue who actually sat in the former president's office anymore. Also working in there were several representatives, not from Confria, but from several different branches of the space police to help coordinate things with other worlds under the current sector chairman's jurisdiction as well as with the Eudorian and Listanian district Chairmen. Finally there were a few people that were actually from Confria, industrial magnates that were paid very handsomely to advise the district chairman on the best ways to go about whatever their goals were for a given industry, with the end game being to set the whole planet up to funnel as much wealth as possible back to Utopia.
There was nothing available on him whatsoever aside from that there's always cars that park in the lot every morning and leave every night. As far as the public knew, Bryce retained executive authority over Confria despite never having set foot in the country for some time, in all of his media appearences, he's in Listania.
Across the street from this once treasured landmark was where the Space Police's main portal facility for Confria was built after demolishing several other historic government buildings and monuments to make space for it. Up to this point both it and the capitol building was defending itself extremely well against the hostile but lesser armed civilian mob, who only had a handful of guns, a few molotovs, and a variety of improvised melee weapons, such as bats and axes.
This bought plenty of time for more troops and vehicles to rally at other facilities on the other sides of the portals to be deployed when the room was available. Just like at the prison the ground was orange with the stuff from the bubble guns, and there were many, many stuck people. So far they were refraining from using lethal force against the general populace anyway, against us that ship had long since sailed.
Anyway, this would be our final target, for today anyway, as this all really was just the beginning of a long and extended conflict.
Meanwhile, across the ocean, over in Listania, Global President Decker ordered all tv transmissions from Confria to be blocked, stopping the spread of the chaos and keeping the residents unaware of what was going on. The space police had set up a similar tv hub here that was able to operate independently of Creekbug's and dealt with all broadcasts in Listania and some of the surrounding minor countries. Plans were made to fly Skyla over from Eudoria to help encourage and mobilize the slightly more loyal Listanian military to take action with support from the space police, who were also desperately searching through all their controlled systems to find a psychic powerful enough to go against Kitty, but as they had many worlds under their control, this was going to take some time. Of course they were also sending over as much military hardware as they could. Thankfully this world never developed nuclear weapons, and one of the more sensible aspects of the space police is they didn't like them either, so we didn't have to worry about them at all.
While on the way to the portal facility we got IceLeomon patched up as he was still bleeding pretty bad. Thankfully his wives were just waiting patiently back at the base for our return or they would be freaking out.
The crowd was so large, we had to park several blocks away from where we actually needed to be. We stuck to the rooftops as Phoebe and I went scouting around. There were no cameras up there, and there was so much general chaos going on it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway. A couple helicopters like the one we saw earlier were observing the crowd but not really doing anything worth downing them for, which wouldn't go down well with this many people around anyway. Their side doors were closed, so we'd have plenty of time to teleport out if they decided to attack. A blockade of officers in full riot gear, shields and everything, were slowly pushing back the crowd, a few apcs trailing behind them, seemingly just for intimidation as their guns stayed silent and a few didn't have any.
"Fuck we're still a few blocks away from the target." I said as I looked at a map on yet another borrowed cell phone.
"No tanks though." Phoebe said.
"Hopefully most of them went to the prison. They don't have that many do they? The documents said there was only had a half dozen or so." I said.
"If you want to take the risk go for it." Phoebe said.
" I mean, we could always just keep an eye out for them and return him before they can fire." I said.
"Yeah." She agreed.
"Well buddy, we got one more target for you today." I said as I held his pokeball in my hand.
"Get me as far behind that line of apcs as you can Pheebles." I said as I took her hand.
"As far as I can, or as far as I can and still get us back over here?" She asked.
"The second one." I replied.
"Ok good." She said before closing her eyes and teleporting us away.
I pressed the button on the ball, causing it to expand from ping pong to baseball size. I let it open in my hand behind us. Phoebe took me up to his shoulder, I showed him a picture of the building he needed to attack on the phone that I had, and the direction it was in then he nodded that he understood. And Phoebe took my hand and got us out of there a few seconds before the space police noticed he was there and started firing at him. Since they were all facing the opposite direction, and there was so much racket going on with the crowd, it took them awhile. I figured the helis must have spotted him first and then had to draw the attention of all the others as he took off running the best that he could towards his target. We followed him along on the rooftops. Thankfully the facility building was built like a large warehouse with paper thin corrugated metal walls that he could easily rip through. There was no sign of any tanks so far so he was free to do as he pleased.
The gunfire from the apcs and helis drove the crowd insane, most panicked turned and ran in various directions, others started fighting against the officers as there was little they could do to the apcs who were still unwilling to fire at them. A few of these managed to steal their own bubbleguns, but most ended up in bubbles themselves.
Meanwhile, a few more apcs and police cars came out of some of the portals but there was little they could do aside from piss Aggron off and get smashed for their trouble. The portals started shutting off as the electrical lines inside the walls were broken, effectively disabling them without destroying them, though several were ruined anyway, we considered just cutting the power to the place but that could be fixed too easily if even a few space police officers got away, which some almost certainly would as there were a lot of them. a few vehicles were also unlucky enough to be halfway through a portal when they shut off, slicing them on a molecular level, instantly disabling them and killing a few of the even more unfortunate occupants covering the floor with a mixture of oil and gas and a lot of blood in the worst cases. Hell of a way to die, but atleast it's painless. Sad brainwashed souls working for an organization bent on enslaving all of existence under the guise of justice and safety and whatever other concerns they can use depending on the world.
Once the facility was destroyed we'd be attempting to invade the capital building and barricade it from the space police, though we wouldn't have too much time before their hover tanks started to show up as we assumed they were already making their way over here from the prison.
"Cj, there's tanks coming." Phoebe said.
"Oh hell already? Those are their military tanks. What the heck I thought the hover tanks would show up first. Maybe they're Raylena's guys?" I asked.
"Do you want to risk it?" Phoebe asked.
We were told the space police were only supposed to use them as reserve forces.
"Well, tell Aggron to try to hurry it up, we gotta shut down all the portals." I said.
"We could just unplug them, there's not that many left." Phoebe said.
"Ok then go return him, get them unplugged, and get your little ass back here in one piece." I said.
"Don't get hurt." She said before taking his pokeball and teleporting away.
"You don't get hurt." I said after she teleported away and couldn't possibly have heard me.
These tanks were no joke. Ten years old and known locally as the MBT mark V, they had a very rounded front most resembling the Object 279 concept, but with only one pair of tracks, some ERA bricks all around it, and a modern 120mm cannon, with a coax machine gun, smoke screen system, the works. Compared to the Object 279, the sides were flattened so the entire hull could sit between the treads. A 1500hp turbine engine in the back and big road wheels gave it a top speed of 45mph. They were more powerful than the space police's own hover tanks, atleast as far as weapons and armor were concerned, but even with that impressive top speed, for a tank, they weren't nearly as mobile.
As for Confria's Humvee equivalent…..I have no idea, it looked like a Humvee to anyone that never looked at a Humvee too closely. As if somebody wanted to make a Humvee for a video game but had to change it just enough to get around copyright. I mean, it's a truck, it would probably hurt to get hit by it, it's probably not bulletproof. It was very square and utilitarian in design. There's wasn't really much about its tactical capabilities to be concerned about, a few might have machineguns or extra armor or whatever, but the only ones I saw coming down the street were a normal unarmed four door pickup version, assuming there were other versions.
We didn't know the real intention of these guys until the tanks turned and fired on the apcs, turning them into balls of fire with a thunderous bang. With some relief it turned out they were Raylena's guys all along.
"They're shooting the space police!" Phoebe yelled once she got back.
"Let's get out of here before we lose our hearing." I replied as their cannon shots were loud as hell, and well even most of the mob had fled by now.
"Ok, what about all the people on the ground though?" She replied before taking my hand.
"It's too dangerous Pheebles, too much shrapnel you can't see, you'll get hit." I said.
"Oh, ok, I hope your right." She replied.
"I'd rather be wrong and still have you around." I said.
So we got the hell out of there and returned to the van, at this point the mob was practically gone as a full on tank battle took place with the other rebel force quickly taking out all the space police's apcs, several cars, and officers as well, while soldiers emerged from the Humvees and started debubbling whatever civilians they could. They were a bit sloppier than us as they caused quite a few casualties, though the bubbles the civilians were trapped in offered surprisingly decent protection from shrapnel.
The space police just didn't have an answer until their hover tanks showed up nearly twenty minutes later, then the fighting really began as they managed to take down two of the rebel tanks before they were put out of commission. They were pretty hard to completely destroy as the reactors are very well protected for obvious reasons, but they can still be immobilized with sufficient damage to the propulsion system, or more typically the elimination of the crew. Trying to blow them up is not a good idea, and Raylena's men knew this, but as with most well designed reactor powered vehicles, the reactor's casing can take a few tank shells, otherwise nobody in their right mind would ever field these things because losing one would mean losing the entire battalion and probably whatever city they happened to be in.
When the cannon fire finally subsided we cautiously returned on foot with the rest of our group in tow to the sight of several burning vehicles and a few tanks and Humvees surrounding the capital building. People in full military gear stood around seemingly standing guard. We spotted Raylena among them and went to talk to her.
"Everything going good on your end?" Raylena asked after we spotted her.
"We weren't expecting you so soon we thought you might be them." Phoebe said.
"Hate to disappoint you it's just us." Raylena replied.
"No, it's good because we can't really do anything against a tank." Phoebe said.
"Well, should we check on our friends at the tv station then?" Raylena asked.
"Did you hear from Henry and Claire? Weren't they going for that other prison?" Phoebe asked.
"They haven't broken radio silence, so we'll have to find out later. Now we just need to all converge on the research facility and . . . . . "
"Unhand me this instant! I'm a district chairman dammit, a district chairman!" A terrified, bald purple man who obviously wasn't from here wearing elaborately decorated blue and gold armor yelled as a bunch of Raylena's soldiers dragged him out of the capital building.
"What do you want us to do with this guy?" One of them asked.
"Bubble him, and hold him here. We'll question him later." Raylena replied.
"We should have Zari question him." I said.
"It's about time to go pick them up isn't it?" Phoebe asked.
"Yeah why don't we go check on them, then we'll move on the research facility." I said.
"You need some help with that?" Raylena asked.
"If you could spare a few tanks why not?" I asked.
-several minutes later-
The TV station was still surrounded though they hadn't tried to enter the building and didn't want to destroy it either. They weren't psychic, they didn't know how many people we had in there. As we showed up in our van, following a tank, and some Humvees. A smaller force split off from the other from the capital, as they were still searching the capital for documents and other possibly important things.
Things were so bad for the space police now they just saw the approaching tank and, knowing by now the depot had been raided and it wasn't friendly, and another platoon of hovertanks was too far away to ever get there in time, even more so for the normal tanks, they dropped their weapons and surrendered, and they were all bubbled to be carted off to the prison at a later point in time as we didn't have enough vehicles to make quick work of that. A couple hours later a few of Raylena's guys got ahold of some metro busses to handle that task. And they spent several hours doing that at all of our target sites. Anyway our friends in the station were allowed to walk, and I was reunited with my beloved Kitty Kat, not including the nights I spent alone with Pheebles, it had been awhile since we had been apart for so long.
"CJ you're still alive, oh I missed you so much, I wuv you wuv you wuv you. I was getting so bored having to say those silly lines over and over." Kitty said as she unintentionally smothered me with her breasts.
"I missed you too babe, glad you're ok. Although you probably could've just read it once and played the recording back over and over." I said, equal parts aroused and embarrassed but I kissed her on the cheek anyway only for her to kiss me more sensually on the lips.
"We didn't want to take the risk of the recording not working." Zari said.
"Fair enough." I said after Kitty kissed me as Phoebe just stood there, jealous and about at the point where she was going to complain about it.
"And sister." Kitty said as she went to hug Phoebe as well.
"Awwe, Fluffybutt, I'm glad you're ok too sister. I miss your boobs." Phoebe said, a bit less jealous now as she awkwardly nuzzled her breasts.
"Pheebles." I scolded her.
"What are you doing? I was trying to be nice, don't make this weird." Kitty said.
"It's already weird." Zari said.
"Way too late for that." Saphy added.
"Mhm." Raylena agreed.
"She might've gotten a little bit affected by your powers." I said, even more embarrassed. I couldn't tell if she did that to get back at me or if she really wanted to play with them, either way, she wasn't going to tell me.
"Really?" Saphy said with a laugh.
"Sorry I couldn't help it you were so beautiful and you let Cj do the same thing." Phoebe pointed out.
"No I didn't." Kitty said.
"She hugged me, I wasn't borderline motor boating her. Glad you're ok too Zari." I said as I hugged her.
"Same. Do I get a kiss too?" She asked, more just to tease them then out of desire, though that was still there too.
"NO YOU DON'T!" Both Kitty and Phoebe said in near unison.
"We're just hugging." I said.
"Our Cj." They said in near unison as they both possessively grabbed me.
"Really? both of you now?" I asked.
"Mhm." Phoebe said as Kitty just laughed adorably.
"Saphy how did it go for you?" Kitty asked.
"I started holding them back but then one teleported behind me and I fight him up close."
"Did you win?" Kitty asked.
"I was holding my own, but Phoebe knocked him out for me." Saphy said.
"You didn't let her win on her own?" Kitty asked.
"I had to, one of their trucks caught on fire and we needed her to put it out before it got out of control and set everything on fire." Phoebe said.
"But our training worked right?" Kitty asked.
"Definitely." Saphy replied.
"Good." Kitty said cheerfully.
"Use the moves I taught you?" Zari asked.
"Yeah, he couldn't hit me." Saphy.
"Good, now we'll just have to start training the newbies." Zari said.
"You know we didn't recruit them just because they're pretty." Phoebe said.
"I know, but they could always learn more." Zari insisted.
"Yeah, I guess that's true." Phoebe agreed.
"Ok well, there's still one more target and we might want to check on the rest of your friends. And, well there's actually a hell of a lot more to be done." Raylena said as I got both my ladies in my arms.
"Tabby how are you holding up?" Zari asked.
"I'll be ok, I just need some time." She replied.
"She was doing good, she took out a few elites." I said.
"You saw some elites?" Zari asked.
"The teleporters, yeah, apcs full of them." I said.
"Cyborgs?" Zari asked.
"I don't think so." I replied.
"They must have not introduced them to this world yet. That doesn't mean they won't be coming though. Once the planetary chairman notices what we're doing they'll send everything the sector chairman will allow." Zari said.
"Do you know the sector chairman Zari?" I asked.
"Nope, they don't teach us that, it's pretty much completely irrelevant unless we're assigned to work under them and I don't even recognize this district. Sorry, but I couldn't tell you who any of the chairmen operating here are." She said.
"Anyway, Leelee?" Zari asked Iceleomon, teasingly.
"Don't call me that ever, only my darling Elishen can." Iceleomon replied.
"Ok ok. but is everything allright? " She asked.
"Yeah its fine, they shot me, but I got healed up." IceLeomon replied.
"Good." Zari said.
"We can't have a short little break before we go for the research place?" Phoebe asked.
"We really shouldn't, the longer we wait the more time they have to bring in reinforcements and there's a lot more we have to do if we're going to secure this city against their inevitable counter attack." Raylena said.
"We'll be surrounded again by tomorrow. They'll send the rest of the world against us" Zari said.
"Oh yeah, by the way we got somebody for you to interrogate." I said.
"The sector chairman?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"Where is he?" Zari asked.
"Back at the capital building, you can see him later, let's move on that facility." Raylena said.
By the time we all converged on the facility the space police had assembled a powerful defensive force, a few thousand officers, several apcs, including a new amphibious kind that had 8 wheels which were more of a light tank with a similar cannon to the hover tank but with an autoloader and less recoil reduction. These were a bit of a problem as they were more mobile than our tanks and like the hover tanks, could pose a threat to them. They were basically used as a cheeper alternative to the hover tanks that didn't require any exotic materials for their construction. There were atleast 10 of them patrolling the streets around the facility, alongside the normal armored truck like apc we had seen destroyed several times this day. We lost another three tanks and 8 soldiers to these damned things, including the one Raylena was in, but she got lucky and survived while both her driver and gunner were basically liquefied. Thankfully even though there was so many, we had sort of caught them off guard and they were still grouped in formation pretty close together which meant only a few could actually fire back at us at any given time.
Phoebe and I took to the rooftops where she quickly located and knocked out a bunch of snipers armed with some kind of rifle version of the bubblegun, which fired blobs at higher velocity over a greater range than the normal but more compact pistol version. Her powers completely nullified their sneakyness as their helmets did not make them unreadable.
We didn't see any more helicopters, there wasn't much the normal police choppers could do at this point as the tanks had a remote machine gun similar to most of the apcs and would shoot them to pieces. Additionally, they can't just fly helis in through the portals, they have to be towed in, assuming there was a portal that was big enough. All civilian air traffic out of Enlandia's airport had also been cancelled since we kicked off this whole thing. We later learned the sector chairman tried to call in an attack helicopter to deal with the tanks, which would've been really bad for us, but morale was so low, they couldn't get anybody to get one ready to go in time much less fly the damned thing. A rumor eventually spread that the ground crew played stupid the whole time, there was some possibly dubious issues going on with the fuel truck or something.
A couple hours later the facility was captured which was easy enough we didn't really need to be there, and the city and the nation by extension had been won, for the moment as the space police could not send in any more officers or equipment, though there was still a metric ton of work to do.
Another voyage back to the tv station, and a second broadcast was put out on the tv, this time with Raylena speaking, revealing the events that had occurred, and encouraging people to stay strong in the fight against the oppressive Utopian regime. Similar broadcasts were made every day throughout our campaign from then on, either by her or her lackeys. For her part, Kitty became somewhat of a celebrity. While Raylena sort of became the defacto leader of Confria and the resistance movement.
In the following hours, people started to destroy the comprehensive network of security cameras. Officers were hauled off to the prison. Others that managed to escape went into hiding. A team of guys with flatbed trucks started to move portal machines over to the research facility from the mostly destroyed hub building, and also destroyed any others we didn't have room for. Civilians were rescued, healed, debubbled, and allowed to return to their daily routines without fear of being arrested over tiny slip ups, such as not using turn signals or driving 1mph over the speed limit, or breathing obnoxiously and unnecessarily loud, or nearly anything that could be considered an offence no matter how remote or minor.
Elsewhere in the world, Listania and Eudoria began to marshal an invasion force as their media demonized us. Saying things along the lines of stealing the country from President Bryce, who in reality, unknown by the general public was only following orders from the sector chairman, the bald purple man we arrested and he didn't even live in the country anymore, the later of which wasn't even a secret. Part of the reason we had made so much progress is that he was already so unpopular in his own country, Kitty's TV appearance was just the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. This was also the reason we started this whole thing in Confria, as other nations had a little more faith in their leaders.
Anyway, the other countries news didn't show any actual footage of what had happened here, despite there being surveillance cameras everywhere. This was a possible indication that the newbies along with Henry and Claire managed to take down the surveillance hub. Though we wouldn't be reunited with them until tomorrow.
We may have won the battle, but the war was far from over, though we would have a few days before they could make their move, days we were going to spend getting ready to make our own.
That night with most of the fighting over with at the moment, the base, and our bus a few hours of driving away, we crashed at a hotel, conveniently free of charge, we didn't have to worry about being disguises, they knew aliens walked among them and a lot of the space police were. We would have to sort out how to get ahold of our extra clothes that were still on the bus later.
"Yay there's a bed!" Phoebe said as we opened the hotel room door.
"Yeah, were you expecting to sleep on the floor?" I asked.
Phoebe went and threw herself on the bed, horny as ever.
"Come and play you two." She said as seductively she could.

"We've been busy all day and all the stores are closed now and we have no money." Phoebe said.
"You can't steal one?" Kitty asked.
"Not anymore, we'll look bad, we need to look better than the space police to win over the minds of the public." Phoebe said.
"I thought I already did that." Kitty said.
"Kind of, but we need to keep it going." Phoebe said.
"If everyone that saw her on tv was attracted as much as you, we're breaking millions of hearts right now." I said.
"Not if they don't know." Phoebe said.
"They'll find out." I said.
"Well sorry world, she's ours, we had her first." Phoebe replied.
"True." I agreed.
"I'm all yours." Kitty said as she possessively clung to me for a moment.

"You don't want Zari to be around?" Kitty asked.
"I want her to be our friend, I don't want her to live with us when we make it home. I don't know though, that could change too." Phoebe said.
And then the phone I borrowed from one of Raylena's guys went off.
"Raylena?" Phoebe guessed.
"I would assume so." I said.
"Yeah." I said after finding my pants on the floor and fishing it out of the pocket.
"Wasup?" I asked.
"I just wanted to tell you your friends made it back to base." She said.
"They made it back?" I repeated.
"Yeah." She replied.
"Good they're all ok?" I asked.
"Yeah and their missions were a success, I'll have my guys hit the rest of the prisons tomorrow, shouldn't be too big of deal, and if Kitty could go back to the tv station and help get everyone geared up for their counter attack that would be great." Raylena said.
"What do you need her to say?" I asked.
"Is there a way she could help them become better fighters?" Raylena asked.
"If Zari goes with her again yeah. We could probably come up with something." I said.
"Awesome." She replied.
"Ok well, tell our friends we're all ok and we'll see them tomorrow." I replied.
"Right, will do. Also where are you guys?" She replied.
"We're just crashing at a hotel. It's the, hold on let me peak at the sign." I said.
"Don't tell me, they could be listening! We already got your location of your phone's gps anyway." She cut me off.
"Ok ok." I asked. As Phoebe decided that now was a great time to start to tease me with her cute little feet.
"Is Zari with you?" She asked.
"Yeah, um…uh… different room though." I said.
"Lussy said to tell her she told her so." Raylena said.
"About … what?" I asked as Kitty noticed and decided to play along too.
"I don't know, ask her." Raylena said.
"I'll tell her tomorrow." I said.
"Ok, well, goodnight, and don't get killed." She said.
"Eh heh, goodnight um wait.." I replied.
"What?" Raylena asked.
"There's a big blue suitcase on our bus, on the cargo rack, it has wheels, and a paloran sticker on it, and it has most of our clothes in it, if you could get somebody to bring it over here that's be great." I said as both my ladies exchanged giggles while continuing to tease me.
We acquired said suitcase just days before Kitty and I left Paloran and it was one of the things that made the jump from the ship back to the bus that hadn't really been mentioned until now, on the bus we used it more like a dresser.
"We'll get it sorted out, Lussy and Henry requested some things to. I'm not sure when we can get it to you, but you can go a few days without fresh clothes can't you?" Raylena said.
"Right, ok." I replied before she hung up.
"Really you two? Yeah you have cute feet I get it, but we just got done I'm not ready yet. And Raylena really doesn't need to know what we're doing." I said.
"Well you keep walking around naked with your thing out and bobbin around. What do you expect?" Phoebe teased.
"You to show some self control?" I asked as I laid down beside her.
"Nope, wrong answer dummy." She replied.
"What am I going to do with you Pheebles?" I asked.
"Pick me up and take me and wake up everyone on this floor." She said.
"Pick her up, throw her out and fuck me?" Kitty asked.
"Hey, no." Phoebe protested.
"That's not your worst idea." I said, jokingly
"CJ." Phoebe scolded me.
"Here, come here." I said as I lifted her up onto me.
"Nonono. don't please. Why Cj?." She protested, almost getting upset.
"Just get on my other side so I can snuggle both of you." I said.
"Oh." She replied.
"Why would I ever throw you out?" I asked.
"I don't know I can't read you very well right now because psyhorn in boobies out." She replied as she squeezed her own breasts.
"eh heh, well still, you know how I feel about you." I said as I pulled Kitty close and snuggled her.
"Yeah." She replied as she snuggled me.
"You're thinking about sex too much Pheebles, we still have a lot of fighting to do and you're both going to need to be at your best and I will do my best to make that as easy for you as I can.
"Well we're here for you too." Phoebe said.
"Mhm." Kitty agreed.
"And somebody needs to be there for Tabby, I wasn't sure when to bring this up and I know neither of you will want to bring her in here." Phoebe said.
"Yeah if we bring her in we'll have to bring Zari in as well and then probably Saphy and its just….yeah." I said.
"You and Zari aren't a thing, regardless of how badly you both want to be. Maybe we'll look into it more eventually, but not right now." Phoebe said.
"Well I know neither of you want to let her in and I respect that, but I don't want to hurt her so atleast respect that." I said.
"I do, but what if it costs us Tabby? " Phoebe replied.
"What if? And I might be talking crazy here Pheebles, but what if we could actually cheer her up during the day, with our clothes on?" I suggested, half-jokingly.
"We could, it's just boring, and it takes longer." She said.
"Well sometimes the slower, boring option is the right one." I replied.
"Yeah, maybe." She said.
"Haven't you gotten us into enough trouble yet?" I asked.
"Never." She said with playful defiance.
"Sometimes you're an even bigger mess than Kitty you know that? I mean look at her she's just snuggled up against me, slowly drifting off into sleep like the little black winged narcoleptic angel she is." I asked.
"mmm?" She heard me.
"Yeah I'm talking about you you sleepy little cutey. Try not to fall asleep yet or you'll miss the next round." I said as I lovingly kissed her on the head.
"Just wake me up if I do." She said, quietly.
"You sure about that?" I asked.
"Mhm." She replied.
"Ok." I said.
"Angel my butt, remember what she did to Kayla at that police station?"
"You weren't there." Kitty tiredly pointed out.
"She pissed her off, she went a little bit overboard, she won't do it again. Besides she thought Kayla did the same to me. And I know what I would do to anybody that tried to do that to either of you. " I said.
"What?" Phoebe asked.
"Something worse than any way I could think to answer that right now." I said.
"So you don't know what you would do then?" Phoebe asked.
"Come on Pheebles, don't be like that, seriously." I said.
"But you said you knew what you would do and you don't, so you lied." She teasingly insisted.
"Oh yeah, like you don't." I said.
"I have my reasons." She replied.
"Eh heh, sure." I said.
"I do." She said.
"And I don't apparently?" I asked.
"I can tell when you're lying so why would you?" She asked.
"Because believe it or not missy you aren't the only one I ever talk too." I said.
"But you just lied to me." She teased.
"No that wasn't a lie." I said.
"And you're lying again." She teased.
"No, I may have spoken a little too soon, but it wasn't a lie." I said.
"Quit lying." She teased.
"I am not lying you little goofball." I said with a laugh.
"Fuck I love you Pheebles." I said.
"Love you." She replied.
Eventually we had a few more rounds then we fell asleep at some point. A fun night with my ladies before a total world war would break out, literally.
Bryce "Officially resigned as president of Confria" While remaining vice president of the world. His final order as president was to shut down Confria's internet and cellular network. This was only partially successful as not everyone complied and most of the nation still had internet and cellular access and over the next few days as things got more organized, the networks would be restored in their entirety.
Realizing this, all internet communications with Listania were shut down as well as all travel and commerce between the nations. So the people over there would only see what the space police wanted them to see. In Eudoria, the sector chairman, acting as an advisor to the emperor, failed to convince Eudoria's young emperor to do the same. Despite this both Eudoria and Listania officially declared war on Confria. Though that meant nothing at the moment as they both needed time to marshal and assemble their forces.
Eudoria was next door but they were still having morality issues so their recruitment was at an all-time low. Liberating them would be our next goal, and the easiest way to do that, would be to get some words in to their young emperor. Who while actually retaining control over the throne, was young and suggestible and had basically been turned into a puppet, with a Utopian sector chairman actually calling the shots under the guise of one of his advisors. Though the emperor could be difficult at times and didn't always take his advisor's advice and there wasn't much the space police could do about it without exposing their influence.
But before we dealt with Eudoria, there was still some important matters that needed to be dealt with in Confria, such as hitting the remaining prisons to free everyone convicted of petty crimes, apprehending the remaining space police officers operating within the country and getting the Confrian military properly organized, by apprehending the Utopian loyalists and requisitioning as much military equipment as possible. Raylena had people working all throughout the night hitting these more minor targets, with small battles occurring in major cities all across the country. Thankfully we didn't have to take part in all of these nor did we really have the ability to. Raylena however didn't get a damned bit of sleep that whole night as there were always several operations going on at any given moment.
Some of the more notable of these are the ports, while we were asleep, the space police, desperate to retain control, started moving prisoners from several prisons on the west coast, onto cargo ships bound for Listania in order to keep them in prison over there. By the time the convoy of prison busses got there, Raylena's men were already waiting with stolen bubbleguns recently flown in from the capital. There were 3 major ports on the west coast of Confria, and at all three of them all prisoners were intercepted and all space police officers were apprehended. This also included a lot of military personnel from Fort Fortesque, who were arrested for not being loyalist and just sent straight to the port.
Fort Fortescue had slightly more loyalists than non-loyalists and swiftly put the entire fort and the city around it into martial law, where the military patrolled the streets alongside the space police and enacted even stricter laws. With the space police HQ in a building right next to the fort and a load of military equipment at their disposal, the local resistance faced huge losses trying to take over both facilities and was in dire straits. A few hours to the north of that, the arrowhead research facility, another space police stronghold, was also a tough nut to crack as the place was literally built like a fortress on top of the space police deploying their best assets to protect it, including the largest concentration of hover tanks in the entire country, and even scarier stuff.
Anyway while all that was going on, we slept well.
