Boku no Hero Academia: Custodian Izuku
Disclaimer: This is a crossover fanfiction story of 'Boku no Hero Academia' and 'Warhammer 40k' (yes, really). I own nothing of the two series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.
I am making this story for the sake of fun, fluff and awesome after writing a one-shot story of the same story concept. If I am able to somehow impress fans of Warhammer 40k or even move someone to tears, even better.
Also, if anyone wants to know how in the world I got this idea in the first place, please refer to the artist, Ryuusei (Mark II), who has made some awesome pictures of gender-bent primarchs. The link is: .us/pools/17320
Please note that while I am familiar with the Warhammer 40k setting, my actual knowledge of it is casual at best. Also, if the genderbent primarchs seem at least a bit OOC, please kindly consider the fact that their bodies (especially the traitor primarchs) have changed drastically after entering Izuku's world.
In case anyone asks how much crack I was taking in to come up with the idea, I am just going to say enough to make even a loyalist Adaptus Astartes trippy.
Chapter 6: School Drama
Although Nedzu had originally planned to have Izuku, the twelve former primarchs and even Eri begin their school lessons before the end of the current week, their lessons were delayed due to certain revelations of Izuku's situation at Aldera Junior High School.
To put a long story short, Mitsuki and Masaru approached Inko to tell her the truth of Izuku's bullying and how Katsuki was his chief tormentor. Izuku, Nedzu, and Angron were present when the truth was revealed. Although Inko was aware that Izuku was being bullied due to being quirkless, she was not aware that Izuku's own childhood friend was bullying him. She was also unaware of just how badly Izuku was being mistreated by not only his own classmates but also the teachers who were generally apathetic or dismissive of his suffering. Make not mistake, she loved her son and wanted to help him but he kept on insisting that he was fine and could handle the problems at school on his own so, as a Japanese mother, she had no choice but to respect his wishes. That was not to say that she did not try contacting the teachers and the principal of the school about the issue but those people were even less helpful than she had feared.
Understandably, Nedzu was determined to have the school torn down to the bedrock after hearing about the bullying from Katsuki's parents.
When Inko asked Izuku why he kept downplaying the bullying, when he was unable to outright deny it, he admitted that he simply did not want to ruin Katsuki's chances of becoming a pro-hero. Izuku, who was heartbroken when he realised that he was quirkless at the age of five years old, knew how it felt like to suddenly realise that a dream was impossible to achieve and he did not want his former best friend to feel the same despair. He also admitted that he was blinded by his admiration towards Katsuki's natural talents and determination to be a great hero to the point of being willing to put up with his admittedly terrible flaws as a person. There was also the sad fact that, if Izuku had decided to stop seeing Katsuki as both a friend and goal to strive towards, he would most likely have no one to truly cherish other than his own mother and possibly Katsuki's own parents. It could be argued that becoming a companion of the girls who were once primarchs had finally given Izuku the courage to choose someone else to be both a friend and a worthy goal to strive towards in his admittedly unrealistic goal of becoming a great hero like All Might.
Little did Izuku realise that he was just as important to the six former primarchs whom he met in the forest as they saw him as both a trustworthy ally and a dear friend. After all, why else would they gladly allow him to train alongside them in spite of his limitations as a quirkless boy?
Hearing Izuku's confession broke Mitsuki and Masaru further as they knew that, in spite of Katsuki's claims, Izuku was truly a kind boy who deserved better. The fact that Katsuki actually thought that Izuku was mocking him simply because the quirkless boy was worried about his well-being made both parents wonder what they did wrong while raising their own son.
To make matters worse, Katsuki had not returned home since the day before and both Mitsuki and Masaru feared that he might do something foolish if he was not found soon. Needless to say, Nedzu immediately called for an investigation of Aldera Junior High and got even the HPSC involved.
It would only be on the following day when the results of the investigation became known…
-On the following day…-
"So, no one has found Kaccha… Katsuki yet," said Izuku who was currently inside a small meeting room with Nedzu.
"I'm afraid not," confirmed Nedzu who then added, "When we asked his other classmates about his whereabouts, none of them knew where he was or where he would be staying at."
Izuku sighed before he asked, "What's going to happen to the students and teachers there?"
"To put it simply, many of the students will be sent to other schools with stricter anti-bullying policies and any serious misdeeds that they have committed, including physically abusing you, will be in their permanent school records. As for the teachers, many of them will have their teaching licenses permanently revoked, at minimum," answered Nedzu.
"I'm guessing that many, if not all, of my former classmates will be unable to attend the hero course of any hero school, correct?" asked Izuku.
"You assume correctly," answered Nedzu who then added, "While those who only ignored you, either out of self-protection or because they were forced to, will still have a chance to take the hero course entrance exams if they so choose, the rest will likely be barred from joining any school with a hero course." His eyes narrowed as he spoke further, "While it has not been publicly announced yet due to being declared as missing at present, Bakugou Katsuki will likely be barred as well."
"I… see," said Izuku.
Nedzu sighed as he spoke to Izuku gently, "While I understand that you feel responsible for Bakugou's situation, please understand that this is NOT your fault. For all of his natural talent as a combat-orientated pro-hero, there is simply no denying the fact that he decided to hurt you just because he felt insulted by the idea that you wanted to help him. Never mind the problems that will inevitably arise if an unrepentant bully or abuser is allowed to become a pro-hero, can you imagine him being willing to accept help from anyone even though innocent lives are on the line?"
"Honestly, no," admitted Izuku. Tears welled up in his eyes as he wondered, "Is this… similar to how the loyalists astartes felt when they realised that they were being betrayed?"
Seeing that the conversation was over and Izuku needed time to process everything that had happened recently, Nedzu got off his seat and said solemnly, "For all that it's worth, I'm truly sorry for not being able to help you and your former childhood friend sooner."
As Nedzu exited the room, he noticed six of the former primarchs standing outside the meeting room. He wore a sad expression as he closed the door behind him and said to them, "While I'm sure that it does not need to be said, but please be there for him."
Angron nodded and said, "We will." Sanguinius, Vulkan, Russ, Jaghatai and Dorn nodded as well as they were determined to help Izuku overcome his grief. Nedzu nodded at the six girls before he had to leave to attend to his duties as both the principal of the school and a pro-hero.
Izuku was fighting back his tears when Angron, who entered the meeting room without his notice, sat beside him and hugged him gently while saying, "It's okay. We are here." Unable to hold back his tears any more, Izuku clung onto Angron and wailed as he grieved over the tragic reality that a treasured childhood friendship had been twisted and corrupted to the point that reconciliation seemed all but impossible.
-Some time later…-
Angron wore a sad expression as she, along with the other five former primarchs who were present when she first met Izuku, carried the emotionally-exhausted boy bridal-style back to his room in the Imperial Dorm. As they entered the dorm, Inko, Eri and the other former primarchs saw them. Lion seemed as distant and aloof as ever while the others felt at least some level of concern towards him. After all, the former loyalist primarchs knew what it was like to be forced to realise that some of their own comrades, if not beloved brothers, had become enemies of everything that they stood for.
Inko, who still saw Mistuki and Masaru as her dear friends in spite of recent revelations about Katsuki, smiled sadly as she spoke to the six former primarchs who were closest to Izuku, "Thank you."
"It's the least we can do for him," said Angron.
"He… really cared for Bakugou Katsuki, didn't he?" asked Ferrus who, among the new residents of the dorm, sympathised with Izuku's grief the most.
Angron nodded and said, "I'll take him to my room. I don't think he should be left alone."
No one spoke in protest as Angron went upstairs to her room. When she was upstairs, Eri turned her attention towards Curze and asked worriedly, "Will Izuku-niichan be okay?"
Curze, who could not use her quirk due to her manacle, shook her head and said, "Not sure. But. He is. Not alone."
"Should we make something for him? Maybe it will make him feel better," suggested Eri.
Like how a single spark can lead to a burning flame, Eri's innocent suggestion made Vulkan smile and said, "Yes, I think we should try to make something." She then turned her attention towards Ferrus and asked, "Do you mind landing me a hand, sister?"
Ferrus nodded with a smile and said, "What do you have in mind, Vulkan?"
"I'm thinking of making him a combat knife. Even if he chooses a different primary weapon in the future, he can still use it as a secondary weapon," said Vulkan.
"Smart choice," agreed Ferrus.
"Come on, then. We'll need Nedzu's permission to use one of the support labs," said Vulkan.
While Vulkan and Ferrus left to make a knife for Izuku, Curze turned her attention towards Sanguinius and asked, "Have clay? For moulding?"
Surprised, Sanguinius said, "No, but I think the school should have some."
Curze stood up and said to Eri, "Let's go. Make gift."
Eri nodded at Curze and said eagerly, "Okay!"
Realising what Curze wanted to do, Sanguinius smiled and said, "If you do not mind, I would like to come along as well." Curze nodded at Sanguinius before she left together with both the winged former primarch and Eri.
Russ scratched the back of her head and grumbled, "I'd give Izuku a drink but I don't anyone will like the idea of him taking anything alcoholic."
Lion rolled her eyes and said, "Of course you'll think that giving him something that would make him drunk would make him feel better." Russ flipped the bird at Lion and blew a raspberry in response.
Inko chuckled before she suggested, "Perhaps you can help me prepare a meal for him, Russ-chan."
Russ grinned and said, "Well, it's a start." She then walked into the kitchen to help Inko prepare a meal which, unsurprisingly, was going to be katsudon.
Jaghatai turned her attention towards Dorn and asked, "So, any idea what we can do? I don't have a licence to drive or ride anything and I get the feeling that Izuku's not the sort to appreciate the thrills of extremely fast rides."
Dorn frowned and grumbled, "Personally, I'd like to make a gun for Izuku but this country's laws on firearms is ridiculous."
"Perhaps some 'micro-beads' will be a more appropriate gift," suggested Guilliman who then added, "After all, good communication is vital regardless of profession."
Dorn wore a thoughtful expression and said, "Giving him a means of communicating with us is certainly a sound idea. Perhaps the micro-beads can be fitted with tracking beacons and emergency signals as well."
"Then let's go to the support labs. I'm sure Vulkan and Ferrus will be happy to help," said Jaghatai.
Dorn nodded at Jaghatai before she turned her attention towards Guilliman and asked, "Would you like to come with us?"
Seeing no reason to deny the offer, Guilliman nodded and said, "It would be good to know the limits of this school's ability to produce proper war gear."
After Guilliman left the dorm with Dorn and Jaghatai, Icarian turned her attention towards Corax and Lion and asked, "Should we do something for our Izuku?"
Although Lion seemed uncaring, she knew the painful sting of betrayal like the rest of the former loyalist primarchs. As such, she got up and said, "The rest of our sisters are already making gifts for him. What he needs is someone to help keep a lookout for possible enemy incursions."
Both Corax and Icarian nodded as they proceeded to patrol in and around the dorm to ensure that no one would disturb Izuku or Inko without their notice.
-Later that evening…-
Izuku, who felt a bit better than before, smiled awkwardly as he sat on Angron's bed beside her and said, "Thank you… for being there for me."
Angron smiled kindly at him and said, "It's the least I can do for you, Izuku." She then asked, "What will you do if your childhood friend becomes your enemy for real?"
"As much as I would like to help him somehow, Nedzu-sensei is right. He made his own choices and I'm not responsible for them," replied Izuku who then bitterly added, "That does not make it hurt any less."
Angron hummed before she said, "You should talk to the former loyalist. If there is anyone who knows a thing about being betrayed and finding a way to somehow deal with it, it would be them."
"Won't they simply suggest that I kill Katsuki?" asked Izuku who was half-joking.
Angron snorted and answered, "Probably." Both Izuku and Angron chuckled before she placed her hand onto his shoulder and said, "You're not alone, Izuku. Never forget that."
Izuku placed his hand onto hers and smiled at her while saying, "I know, An-chan."
Angron blushed slightly but was able to avoid becoming a sputtering mess as she spoke, "We should probably head downstairs. It's almost dinner."
Izuku nodded and went to the ground floor together with Angron. When the two of them exited the elevator, they were surprised to see all of the dorm residents waiting for them. Angron raised an eyebrow before Icarian coughed into her fist and confessed, "I… asked Nedzu for permission to use my quirk a short while ago."
Realising that Icarian was given permission to predict the likelihood of Izuku and Angron entering the ground floor together at a given time, the both of them decided to focus their attention towards the items that the former primarchs and Eri were holding. Vulkan stepped forward with a smile on her face and said, "While it may be some time before you finally learn which weapon suits you best, I think this knife will serve you well for many years to come."
Izuku's eyes widened as he reverently took the knife from Vulkan's hands. The knife was beautifully designed with the gold-coloured sigil of the Imperial acquila on both sides of the sheath. It was also clearly inspired by an ancient local weapon, the 'tantou' as it also possessed a handle that seemed to be wrapped in some kind of inscribed white cloth and a silver-coloured pommel that was shaped to resemble a human skull. As for the obsidian-black guard of the knife, it was rectangular in shape and was decorated with twelve twelve-toothed cogwheels that were red in colour.
He stared at the weapon in awe before Ferrus said, "You should draw it and test its edge."
Izuku complied and realised that the single-edged blade of the knife had a beautiful pattern that would normally only be found on the finest of damascus steel blades. Amazed by the beautiful gift, Izuku stared at it for a moment before he sheathed the weapon and asked Vulkan and Ferrus, "Is it… really for me?"
Vulkan nodded and said, "Regardless of profession, it never hurts to have a reliable weapon for self-protection."
"While our gift may be humble compared to theirs, we also decided to make a gift for you," said Dorn. Jaghatai then showed twenty bean-shaped wireless earphones to Izuku while Dorn explained, "These are micro-beads. You can use them to communicate with your comrades who are up to a single kilometre away. You can also pass them to whomever you decide to trust so that you can keep in touch with them while on duty."
Izuku was already close to tears of joy when Eri stepped forward and said, "Curze-neechan, Sangui-neechan and I made pretty things for you too!" She then showed Izuku a childish drawing of him smiling while being surrounded by the other residents of the Imperial Dorm. In fact, the only person who was frowning in the picture was Lion.
Sanguinius chuckled before she presented her own picture to Izuku and said, "While I doubt I can ever capture the charming innocence in Eri's drawing, I'd like to think that this one is something that humanity from both versions of Terra will approve." She then showed an incredibly detailed picture of All Might doing an actual "bro-fist" with the Emperor of Mankind himself.
Curze, who seemed a bit hesitant, said, "I made. Emperor figurine. Give you. Good luck." In her hands was a beautifully-crafted figurine of the Emperor standing vigil with his sword in hand.
"I also helped Inko prepare dinner for everyone," said Russ who then grinned at Lion, Corax and Icarian and added, "While those three decided to be on security duty so that you and Angron didn't get your cuddle-time disturbed."
While Izuku and Angron blushed, Corax smiled at the two and said, "I never thought that I would ever say it, but you were actually rather cute when I saw you cuddling with Izuku in your arms through the window, Angron."
Angron's blush deepened as she sputtered, "S-shut up!"
Unable to hold back his tears, Izuku wept as he held the sheathed knife tightly to his chest and sobbed, "T-thank you… everyone."
Even Lion's seemingly perpetual frown softened a little as Inko gently beckoned, "Come on, everyone. Dinner will get cold if we don't start enjoying it now."
Although the pain of finally realising that Katsuki would never choose to mend their once-close bond as childhood friends was still present, Izuku knew that he would eventually be able to move on from it as long as the former primarchs of an alternate war-torn galaxy were willing to stay by his side.
-Meanwhile, along a random alley in Musutafu…-
Katsuki was sitting on the dirty floor of the alley while leaning against a marginally cleaner wall. His eyes looked empty as his mind struggled to come to terms with what had happened over the past few days.
On the day that he fought with his parents at his school, he decided to sleep in an abandoned building instead of returning back home due to feeling so angry towards them. The last thing he wanted was to deal with more "bullshit" from both of his parents and he made sure to destroy his own mobile phone with an explosive throw so that they would not be able to contact him. As he slept hungry and cold in the abandoned building, his last thought were how he blamed Izuku for ruining his life.
Originally, Katsuki planned to return home on the following day as he did not want to be branded as a "shitty fugitive". However, before he could leave the building, a tall girl with white hair, yellow eyes that seemed to glow and a seemingly innocent smile appeared before him. Although he could not understand why, his instincts warned him that she was the same as the tall muscular girl with dreadlocks who scared him off with just a glare. In spite of his growing fear, he tried to intimidate her with his quirk and bravado.
Instead of getting intimidated, or even aggressive, the white-haired girl continued to smile innocently and warned him that pro-heroes would soon investigate his school. Shocked and arguably unnerved by the information, Katsuki demanded to know why he should believe her. She explained to him that a friend of hers had seen his parents leave their house to go to somewhere.
Although Katsuki did not want to believe her, especially given the implications of what would happen if his parents had decided to tell everything to not only Inko but also the pro-heroes who worked at U.A. High School, he was unable to sense any falsehood in her words. In spite of her warning, Katsuki simply brushed her off and returned home.
When he got home, he realised that his parents were not there as the girl had forewarned. As he entered the house by using the spare key, he saw a note that was written by his father on the dining table. He read the note and realised that both of his parents had decided to visit U.A. High School and reveal everything to not only Inko but also the headmaster of the school, Nedzu. There was more to the letter but Katsuki was unable to look past the lines that confirmed his worst fears. Unable to deny the horrifying possibility that his dream of becoming a pro-hero even greater than All Might was already dead, Katsuki ran out of the house like a child fleeing from a legion of hellish daemons. He kept on running until he was too exhausted to even move and then fell unconscious. When he regained consciousness, he hid in the shadows and saw a news broadcast of various pro-heroes investigating Aldera Junior High. Feeling betrayed by his own parents, "shitty" as they were, Katsuki nearly wept as he wondered why his life had become so unfair lately.
As Katsuki continued to sit on the floor with despair gnawing at his very soul, a familiar gentle voice said, "I see that you've avoided the authorities."
Katsuki's eyes moved to look at the white-haired girl who seemed to almost glow in untouched purity in spite of the dark and grimy alley they were both in. He glared at her and weakly growled, "Fuck you, bitch."
"Now, is that any way to speak to someone who took the trouble to to warn you yesterday?" asked the girl who seemed amused instead of insulted.
"Fuck off," said Katsuki who, due to not eating or drinking for over a day, was feeling weaker than he had ever been before.
A moment of silence passed before the girl said, "I know what it's like to have a beautiful dream destroyed."
Surprised, Katsuki remained silent as she wore a mournful expression and said, "A long time ago, I built a something which was supposed to be a wonderful monument of my father and idol. However, he did not approve of my creation and forced me to not only watch it be destroyed by my sister but also kneel before before him in its ashes and be deemed as unworthy by him."
"That's… got to fucking suck," said Katsuki.
"It did, honestly," confirmed the girl who then smiled and said, "But then I discovered something even more wonderful than my father, a 'Primordial Truth' of the very nature of the universe itself." She offered her hand to Katsuki and said, "You may never be able to achieve of your original dream of becoming a mighty pro-hero, but that does not mean that you cannot choose to become a mighty champion of a different, truer cause."
Normally, Katsuki would never agree to accepting the girl's clearly suspicious offer. Besides, his pride would never allow him to accept help from anyone, especially a weakling. However, between the despair of losing his original dream and his increasingly delirious desperation for a new goal in life, Katsuki felt genuinely tempted to accept her hand. Even so, he had to ask, "Will I be allowed to kill whoever I hated?"
The girl's smile widened and became more malevolent as she replied, "Let's just say that murder is one of the four key aspects of the Primordial Truth and leave it at that."
In a tragic twist of irony, Katsuki accepted the hand of one who brought damnation instead of salvation. Also, he was not the only one from Aldera Junior High to accept the same hand of damnation that belonged to none other than Lorgar herself…
-Back at U.A. High School…-
"So, Bakugou Masaru's hand-written message to his son has been tampered with," said Nedzu.
Naomasa nodded and said, "While we do not know exactly how, we suspect that a quirk had been used to somehow edit the letter while accurately mimicking his handwriting."
Although Masaru had indeed left a note that stated he and Mistuki would be out of the house and that they they should discuss about Katsuki's past actions further, it was not supposed to provide any information about the two parents meeting Inko at U.A. High School. After all, they had no way of knowing what Katsuki would do if he found out about it. Grated, the truth would have to be revealed eventually but both parents felt that the revelation should be done in person instead of over a piece of paper.
On a side note, none of the students or teachers at Aldera Junior High had a quirk that allowed them to alter a hand-written letter.
"What about the… 'anonymous tip'," asked Nedzu.
Naomasa grimaced as the so-called tip was actually a brief but disturbingly accurate account of how Izuku's former classmates and teachers abused the boy for years. While no one from the whole school knew who provided it, none of Izuku's former classmates and teachers could deny its accuracy without lying.
"Whoever provided the tip either has something against Izuku's former tormentors or was hoping to gain something from the debacle," said Naomasa who then added, "However, the list of groups that would actually go out their way to punish a quirkless boy's tormentors is short and, other than possibly Humarise, none of them seem likely especially since Izuku had already been staying with the girls here for over a week when it appeared."
"What about the investigations of the school staff being associated with a quirk supremacist group like the Meta Liberation Army?" asked Nedzu.
"So far, none of them seem to be actual members," answered Naomasa who then frowned as he added, "That being said, they have confessed to finding inspiration in the 'Meta Liberation War' which had led to them being lax when 'promising students' like Bakugou Katsuki wish to 'express themselves' through quirk usage."
"Which means that there is a chance, however small it may seem to be right now, that the Meta Liberation Army or a successor faction may still pose a threat to society," said Nedzu.
"My concern, exactly," said Naomasa.
"Then it would be best to have all educators questioned to ensure that they do not promote Destro's ideals of allowing quirks to be used freely without caring about the possible consequences," said Nedzu who then asked, "Is there anything else that you wish to inform me?"
Naomasa shook his head and said, "No, but I do have one question. Do you think that at least one of the former primarchs is behind this?"
Nedzu's frowned as he thought about it and said, "I have already considered the possibility and, given recent evidences, the possibility may be greater than I have initially expected."
"Assuming that it is actually true, why would a former primarch even go through the trouble of doing such a thing?" asked Naomasa.
"That is indeed a good question," said Nedzu who then had a thought and said, "Please wait for a moment."
He took out his mobile phone and proceeded to make a call while setting it to speaker-phone mode. Before long, Guilliman's voice could be heard, "Hello, Nedzu. Is something the matter?"
"Hello, Guilliman, are you alone at the moment?" asked Nedzu.
"Yes, I am," confirmed Guilliman who clearly realised that the call was serious.
"I would like you to answer a question for me," said Nedzu who then asked, "What are the chances that Lorgar may engineer a situation to rapidly obtain potential cult followers that include, for the sake of example, junior high school students and teachers whose lives have been recently ruined?"
A moment of silence passed before Guilliman grimly said, "It's certainly possible but actually being involved in the process of engineering the situation would imply that Lorgar has either somehow gotten the necessary resources to do so or, more likely, gotten the help of someone who is willing to believe in the existence of our original universe."
"So my fears of a potential cult uprising led by Lorgar, who is in turn probably supported by a villainous organisation, is not unfounded then," said Nedzu.
"Unfortunately, it isn't," confirmed Guilliman.
"Thank you for your honest opinion. You may inform the others about this possibility but kindly limit it to those who live in the Imperial Dorm with you and remind them that this is simply an admittedly plausible theory," said Nedzu.
"Understood," replied Guilliman who then asked, "Is there anything else that you wish to ask or add?"
Nedzu hummed before he said, "Someone may be actively targeting Katsuki as a potential recruit for a villainous organisation or a cult. A message that was meant for him from his father had been tampered with in such a way that, regardless of its tampered state, was still irrefutably true in a way that made Katsuki decide to stay away from his own home."
"I see," concluded Guilliman who already realised the possible implications. She then said, "I strongly recommend increasing the presence of law enforcers around both the students and the teachers of that school as well as increase the manpower needed to somehow find Katsuki."
"As much as I would like to heed your suggestion, I'm afraid that doing so will not be so simple," said Nedzu who then regrettably added, "Not without having the actual truth of your existence revealed to all at the very least."
"I assume that letting us go into the field is also not possible without raising a lot of problems," said Guilliman.
"You assume correctly," said Nedzu who then had an idea and asked, "However, there might be someone who can help us deal with this situation."
"Who do you have in mind?" asked Guilliman.
"Do you recall Sanguinius claiming that Magnus, Fulgrim, Mortarion and Perturabo are not interested in rejoining the forces of chaos?" asked Nedzu.
"You're hoping that they are sincere and can act on our behalf," said Guilliman who was already sceptical of the plan.
"If nothing else, assuming that they can indeed be trusted, they can help us keep an eye out for Lorgar and whoever else that wants to establish a cult that worships the Ruinous Powers," argued Nedzu.
Guilliman was silent for a moment before she sighed and said, "Lion will not like this plan but we do have both Icarian and Curze on our side for predicting future events so it might be worth the risk. We can also use their abilities to help with the investigation itself."
"Excellent!" said Nedzu who then added, "I will arrange a meeting tomorrow to discuss about getting into contact with the four former traitor primarchs and the potential locations where Lorgar may establish a cult."
"Understood," said Guilliman who then added, "If there is nothing else, I will retire for the night."
Nedzu nodded and said, "Good night, Guilliman. I will see you all tomorrow."
"Good night, Nedzu," said Guilliman before disconnecting the call.
Naomasa, who had overheard the whole conversation, wore a determined expression and asked, "So, what's the plan?"
-Elsewhere, in Jin's apartment…-
Magnus wore an unimpressed expression as she spoke to Alpharius and Omegom who were both seated before her while sitting in the "seiza position", "So… what exactly were you two actually planning." Both twins looked nearly the same and were even wearing identical pouts although there was a noticeably swollen bump on the top of Alpharius' head.
Earlier that day, Alpharius, as in the actual twin, approached Magnus and Perturabo with the intention of confirming their desire to not rejoin the forces of Chaos before introducing Gwalchavad to all four former traitor primarchs. What she had not expected was Magnus reading her mind and realising that she had a twin who was with Gwalchavad at the time.
What came next was a series of events that involved Perturabo knocking out Alpharius with a well-placed hit onto the top of her head while she was distracted by Magnus' hallucinations. Once Alpharius was captured and restrained, Magnus, Perturabo, Fulgrim and Mortarion surrounded both Omegon and Gwalchavad. Although Gwalchavad was reluctant to surrender to the four former traitor primarchs, the revelation that she had been following Alpharius' twin was enough to convince her that Alpharius, if not Omegon at the time, had not been entirely honest with her when she suggested the possibility of joining Magnus' group. As a result, she decided to at least hear what Alpharius or her twin had to say about the whole situation with Magnus and her group before deciding what to do next.
Currently, Gwalchavad was leaning against a wall next to Jin while listening to the other former primarchs.
Realising that there was no point in further deceit, Alpharius confessed, "We have been searching for all of the former primarchs in the hope that, when our father finally finds us, he will take those whom he deems as worthy back to his side."
"We were also making sure that none of the former traitors attempt to get into contact with the Dark Gods," confessed Omegon.
Magnus frowned as she read their minds and said, "They're saying the honest truth, for once."
Mortarion huffed and said, "None of us here were truly willing to submit ourselves to the forces of Chaos during the Horus Heresy in the first place. Even Fulgrim only fully submitted to Slaanesh after getting corrupted by the deamon in the Laer Blade."
"The same can't be said about Lorgar though," argued Alpharius.
Magnus, Mortarion, Fulgrim and Perturabo grimaced as they knew that Alpharius had a point. Even Horus, who was the chosen champion of all four Chaos Gods during the events of the Horus Heresy, did not choose to betray the Emperor until his mind had been warped by the Dark Gods who played upon his bitter feelings of jealousy, anger and desire for power.
"Have you met him… her or whatever?" asked Perturabo.
Both Alpharious and Omegon shook their heads in unison before the latter said, "We have been unable to locate Lorgar or Horus."
"While it may be possible that Horus' very soul was simply too destroyed to be reborn in this world, the same cannot be said for Lorgar's soul," said Alpharius.
Magnus rubbed her chin and said, "Which means that, unless we want a chaos-worshipping cult on this version of Terra, finding Lorgar is our top priority."
Fulgrim, who had been depressed lately after watching Ferrus' emotional break down, wore a dark expression as she growled viciously, "I refuse to let Lorgar form a cult that worships them!"
"Not that I'm against stopping a chaos-worshipping cult from bringing the Ruinous Powers to this place, but do any of you have an idea on where to even start?" asked Gwalchavad.
"Honestly, no," admitted Magnus who then said, "However, I won't be surprised if Lorgar attempts to get into contact with the students and teachers of Aldera Junior High."
"Why's that?" asked Jin who then contradicted himself, "It's so obvious!"
Omegon nodded and said, "Lorgar will need a cult before she can proceed with anything else in her plans that involve the Ruinous Powers."
"The students and teachers whose lives have been ruined in the investigation will likely be… receptive to the idea of worshipping the Dark Gods," said Alpharius.
"But there are so many of them that you'll never be able to keep an eye on all of them," argued Jin who then added, "This will be easy as pie!"
"Jin has got a point," said Fulgrim who then added, "Even if we limit our search to just Izuku's classmates and teachers, there will still be too many students and teachers for us to keep an eye on effectively."
"Actually, there may be a way to limit the number of people we need keep an eye on further," said Perturabo.
"What do you mean?" asked Mortarion.
"Based on the reports, Katsuki has been missing since over a day ago and is rumoured to be Izuku's former childhood friend. If we assume that he is Lorgar's first target for recruitment, then the most likely targets after him will be the students and teachers who know him best," explained Perturabo.
Magnus hummed thoughtfully before she said her thoughts aloud, "While there is no concrete evidence to prove the effectiveness of your idea, it does have merit." She then turned her attention towards Alpharius and Omegon to ask, "Do either of you have anything against this plan?"
Both twins glanced at each other before they turned their attention towards Magnus and said in unison, "We see no reason to disagree with her plan."
"That being said, other than Izuku and Katsuki's parents, it will be difficult to determine who else is genuinely closest to Katsuki," said Alpharius.
"There is also a chance that Lorgar may seek people who are not even from the school as potential cult members," said Omegon.
"While I'll admit that this course of actions has its flaws, it's the best one we've got. Besides, we can't exactly go to U.A. High School to ask for the help of our fellow former primarchs," said Magnus.
"I… can help," said Jin. When everyone else turned their attention towards him, he spoke without contradicting himself, "I can make two copies, max."
"Are you sure?" asked Fulgrim who then added, "Won't using your quirk make your mental state worse?"
Jin shook his head and said, "Copies of other people is no problem for me." He then contradicted himself, "Even copying a pebble will freak me out!"
"That will certainly increase our chances of locating Lorgar," said Perturabo.
Magnus turned her attention towards Gwalchavad and said, "Will you help us as well?"
Gwalchavad sighed and said, "Even if I wanted to say no, letting Lorgar bring anything from our home universe to this one will not lead to anything good."
"Then it is decided," said Magnus who then announced, "We will seek out Izuku's former classmates and teachers while determining which ones are genuinely close to Katsuki."
All of the former primarchs present in Jin's room nodded in agreement to her plan, united in their shared desire to stop Lorgar from summoning the Ruinous Powers to the world they were currently on.
-In the primarchs' original universe…-
The four gods of the Ruinous Powers approved of Lorgar's first choice of chaos worshipper, Bakugou Katsuki.
Khorne was pleased eightfold by the hateful rage that burnt red within his soul.
Slaanesh was thrilled sixfold by the excessive perfectionism that ran black within his heart.
Nurgle was delighted sevenfold by the decaying despair that bloomed green within his spirit.
Tzeentch was… barely contented by the intriguing ambition that sparked blue within his mind.
In spite of Tzeench's reluctance to see Katsuki as a potential champion, mostly due to Katsuki's tendency to focus on attacking his enemies directly instead of making intricate and complex plans of subterfuge, all four gods agreed to grant him their blessings when he had proven himself to them further. Besides, what better way to torment the boy who was acting as a custodian of the former primarchs, Midoriya Izuku, than to have him face Bakugou Katsuki who has chosen to become a champion of Chaos Undivided?

Author's Notes:
Villain/Cultist Katsuki is officially a thing in this story. Given the current plot, I figured that it would make sense for three of the four Chaos Gods to favour Katsuki.
Katsuki's aggressive and short-tempered attitude, never mind his actions towards Izuku during the first battle trial in canon, is pretty much a shoe-in for khornate worship.
Katsuki is known to be a perfectionist with varied talents, including music and cooking, so it's not impossible for him to worship Slaanesh to some degree.
Katsuki's feelings of despair upon realising that his dream is impossible makes him a fitting worshipper of Nurgle. Even the canon version of Katsuki felt at least some level of despair when he realised that he could never become the next No.1 Pro hero due to being in Izuku's shadow (check Ch.360 of the manga).
Although Katsuki is smart and good at improvising, he tends to attack head-on instead of making intricate plans, especially in early canon, so I think Tzeentch will find little interest in him as a potential cultist.
By the way, I had an idea while writing this chapter and decided to write it down as an omake. While I would like to present it as a possible future event of this story, I'm putting is as "Might not be canon" until further notice. The title of this omake, which features Trazyn the Infinite, is, 'The Immortalised Humiliation of Lucius the Eternal'.
Until next time, go beyond, plus ultra!
-Start of Omake (Might not be canon)…-
Lucius the Eternal was on his knees, his two arms reduced to charred stumps due to being cut off by the blessed power weapon wielded by his opponent, the reincarnation of Midoriya Izuku. They were both standing inside the destroyed ruins of a building that was large enough to serve as an arena.
When Lucius accepted the duel from Izuku, who wanted to face him in an arena that would be "of his own choosing", he knew that Izuku would lay traps for him. Even so, he was still caught off guard by the sheer number and variety of traps that Izuku had prepared in advance to restrain or cripple him. Of course, Lucious was able to avoid or destroy the traps but they were still effective enough for Izuku to find the openings he needed to somehow cripple both his arms and his legs.
Izuku, though wizened through living his years in both his original universe and the home universe of the primarchs, was still a kind-hearted young man who dedicated his life to the protection and betterment of humanity as a whole. His open-minded nature made him well-liked, if not well-loved, by various abhumans including ogryns, squats, ratlings, navigators and even heavily mutated of beastmen who had rejected the temptations of the Chaos Gods. As such, he loathed Lucius who found delight in killing and torturing others.
In spite of his imminent defeat, Lucius smirked at Izuku and taunted him, "Well, what are you waiting for, mortal? Finish me and claim your victory."
Izuku glared at Lucius for a moment before he said, "No, I won't." Lucius' eyes widened and stared in stunned silence as Izuku de-powered his weapon which was a power-spear that resembled a Japanese naginata.
Unable to comprehend what was happening, Lucious sputtered, "W-what?"
"There's an idea which, while uncommon among the humanity of this universe, is something that is well-known among the people of my original home. It's the idea that it takes more skill to defeat an enemy that wants to kill you without killing him than to defeat him by killing him," explained Izuku who then added, "Therefore, by defeating you without killing you, I have already proven myself as a better warrior than you."
Anger, shame and humiliation burned within Lucius as he started yelling, "You dare mock me, Lucious the Eternal?! I am the greatest swordsman of the Emperor's Children!"
"And I do not care of your titles, villain," said Izuku who then left the ruins without looking back at the raging traitor astartes who was unable to stand up due to his injured legs. As he left, he noticed a necron overlord standing by the entrance of the ruins and said with a cautious but respectful nod, "As agreed, you can have this one, Trazyn."
Had Trazyn been able to smile, he would have smirked in delight as he nodded at Izuku and said, "A pleasure doing business with you, Midoriya Izuku."
As Izuku left the ruin to help jump start the process of rebuilding the tragically-ruined world, Trazyn approached Lucius in a sedate manner and said, "I've heard of an infamous traitor astartes of the Emperor's Children who would possess and take over the bodies of anyone who felt pride after slaying him. Why, if the rumours are true, even souless entities like necrons are not spared from the transformation." He placed his hand beneath Lucius' chin as he continued to speak, "Imagine my surprise and delight when Midoriya Izuku personally contacted me and made an offer. If he had been forced to kill you, I would be allowed to claim him as a part of my collection, forever held in stasis with you trapped alongside him. Even if tainted by the curse of your very existence, the promise of such a prized specimen was something that I simply could not resist claiming as my own." Trazyn chuckled as he looked into Lucius' glaring visage before he took his hand off his chin and continued to speak while turning his back towards him, "Alas, Izuku has proven himself to be even greater a warrior and cunning tactician than I have expected. Still, having you as a part of my collection will not only rid this galaxy of an… 'Eternal Annoyance' but will also serve as irrefutable proof of Izuku's existence as a great champion of the Imperium who was wise enough to cleverly get around the problem of killing you without feeling even a moment of pride, albeit as a saviour instead of a slayer."
As a box-shaped object materialised in Trazyn's hand, Lucius' eyes widened in horror as he recognised it as a Tesseract Labyrinth and realised what was to come. Trazyn, in spite of his metallic skeletal face that could not express emotions, was unmistakably smug as he turned to face Lucius and spoke, "I think I shall title this one, 'The Immortalised Humiliation of Lucius the Eternal'."
Lucius fell down and tried to crawl away from the necron in fearful desperation as he uttered, "No… not like this… Anything but this…!"
Trazyn chuckled as he spoke with the finality of an executioner, "Had it been anyone else other than one of the few remaining slaaneshi champions, I'm quite sure that your patron god would have been… delighted with your humiliation and despair."
As the cube grew in size to envelop the entire structure around Trazyn and Lucius, the slaaneshi heretic astartes screamed in terror and despair, "NOOO…!"
The last thing Lucius heard before his eternal imprisonment was Trazyn's satisfied voice, "Ah… perfection…!"
-End of Omake…-
