Museum Visiting to Playground Heist

The scene shows three beds in a room within a slightly larger train cart next to the main hideout of the Copper Gang, where the three adopted girls of the Cooper Gang with each sleep on their own bed and all are sleeping soundly.

Well, all except for one as the bed in the middle is empty.

Catra is seen standing on top of the train cart looking over the horizon that is clear to see the night sky and then quickly came the sunrise, changing the dark sky and watching carefully as the sun comes up for her eyes to gaze upon.

"Seeing this never gets old." Catra smiled.

"You can say that again." Sly agreed, revealing himself to be sitting right next to her.

"So, any thief mission for today?" Catra asked.

"Nope, believe it or not, it's our day off and the boys and I are going to be kicking back and relax while we watch the games." Sly answered.

"Sounds boring." Catra commented.

"Don't worry, Carmilita said she's coming over to take you and girls out for some fun she had plan." Sly informed.

"Really? But I thought she was still working on that case with the guy who's been beating up any who does workouts in gyms." Catra was surprised to hear that.

"She managed to get the job done fast in record time just two days ago and have been doing some planning with Adora to make sure everything goes smoothly." Sly explained.

"Wow, if I didn't know any better than I would say that mom is trying too hard to be a mom." Catra chuckled.

"Well, you kinda brought that out of her since you came into our lives and even helped destroy the nightmare of the Cooper Clan six months ago." Sly said.

"Six months, to think it has been that long since that last big adventure." Catra smiled.

Indeed, it has been six months since the big battle against the mighty and evil metal owl that was known as Clockwerk where they had almost lost their lives, everything from then on opened a new path of the Cooper Gang where the girls have found themselves a family with their bonds becoming stronger than ever before.

Throughout the months, the Cooper Gang have been living a good life as any thieves would do such as taking heist on some bad guys that steals from the poor and other people, steal those things and give some of them back while Carmilita helps take those guys to jail.

Though it was a bit difficult since both her adopted parents live apart from each other and wonders if the time will ever come for them to live together, but she'll just have to wait and see.

Right now, she just wants to live in the moment with her family and all the adventures they'll have soon.

"It's also good today since it's an extra day off from school." Catra mentioned.

"Just make sure not to make some trouble and worry your mom." Sly said.

"I'll try my best." Catra nodded.

"So, what time is mom coming to pick me up?" Catra asked.

"Around noon, she wants to take you and Adora somewhere before lunchtime." Sly answered.

"I hope wherever we go it's going to be lots of fun!" Catra smiled excitedly.

(Later)

"This is not fun…" Catra deadpanned, completely against this activity now and regrets ever coming along.

"Come on, Catra. You promised your dad that you would behave on this trip." Adora reminded the cat girl of her promise to Sly.

"Only because I thought this day is going to be fun, but this it totally the opposite." Catra said.

"I don't know, didn't our dads always tell us to learn as much as we can so we can be ready?" Scorpia recalled her dad and uncles telling them that.

"That is correct, I say this trip will help us with just that." Entrapta nodded.

"I can't believe I'm hearing this from you two! How could you be okay with going here, you curse them, mom!" Catra pointed her finger up at Carmilita.

"Catra, you're overreacting." Carmilita said.

"Overreacting? Overreacting! Mom, you took us to one of the most boring places in the world… the Museum!" Catra complained.

Now everything makes sense with Catra complaining as she got her hope too high, and it came crashing down.

The plan Carmilita had in mind was taking the kids to the city's big museum where they can learn a lot of things there, she wanted to help the kids get some education (with three of them going out being thieves with their dads) and figured they could learn some history and such to understand some things.

"Now Catra, I know this is probably the last place you wanna go on your free time, but it doesn't hurt to see how everything here is priceless and important to our world." Carmilita gestured to their surroundings.

"Such as any potential bad guys could try stealing them." Adora added.

"That, and because of how the gang would travel a lot these days, I though I should help you be prepared of how different culture and other things." Carmilita explained.

"Please, I only hear this kind of thing from school…" Catra groaned.

"And why are we starting with this giant rock?" Catra asked, looking at the big boring-looking rock.

"This rock has some very old painting that was done by a once known tribe that used to exist 500 years ago when it was done by the poor people who had to live in the dark times of the city." Carmilita explained.

"Oh, I can see the ancient wisdom from this." Entrapta intrigued.

"So, a bunch of poor painted this rock?" Catra asked.

"It was when a few dozen people who used to live in the poor state of their life with barely any food to go by, no money, and had to live out in the street because they didn't have roofs over their heads. So, they all move out of the big city together and lived out in the forest outside of Paris." Carmilita explained the history.

"Oh, they became farmers." Scorpia found this to be cute.

"From what I can tell, it wasn't easy for the people since they had little to go by, but they were able to make it work and recognize by the community and the mayor from back to share a business deal and as citizens of their own little home." Adora explained some more.

"That's right, and since then, the people of that little home on the countryside have been living in peace." Carmilita nodded, but then her expression turns to sadness.

"However, that life didn't last forever when World War 2 broke out and that little home was caught in the crossfire… A lot of lives were lost, no survivors." Carmilita sighed.

"Now this story just got sad." Scorpia sobbed a little.

"Others who knew the people from back then were sadden by the lost, and they discovered this big rock then getting the idea to paint their stories on it." Carmilita mentioned.

"No one complained about it for this was something they could always remember of those kind people that have the most struggle in life than others." Carmilita placed a hand over her heart.

Catra look up at the rocking, staring at it for a while even though she still finds the visit to the museum boring, she can at least show her respect to the people who gave it their all before death.

"So, anything else you wanna show us in this museum?" Catra asked.

"I'm glad you ask because the next exhibit we'll be visiting is where you can learn about the women taking care more of their lives such as being surfers, champion fighters, and being known as famous cooks." Carmilita answered as they walk away from the rock.

"In other words, history about awesome women!" Adora smiled.

"Okay, now that is something I can look forward to." Catra smiled.

But as they reach the Strong Spirit Women exhibit, the group are surprise to see about eight police officers with police tape on four of the display stands with some shattered glass pieces on the floor.

"What happened here?" Catra asked.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." Carmilita walked over to the officers with the kids quickly following her.

"Officers, what happened here?" Carmilita asked.

"Inspector Fox! We weren't expecting you here." One shark female officer surprised to see her superior here.

"I was taking my niece, my daughter, and her friends out on a little trip until we came across this." Carmilita explained.

"Wait, wait, wait, you have a daughter? Is it the weird hairless monkey girl?" The female shark officer asked shock.

"No, it's the cat girl. But tell me what happened here?" Carmilita gestured to the crime scene.

"We're not entirely sure, the exhibit was about to be open with the gate going up but then there were the glass case hanging in the air by some wires and they fell the moment the gate open, and no alarms went off. One of the workers called us as soon as this happened." The shark officer explained.

"What about the wires that were holding up the case? Were they cut?" Adora asked.

"Not exactly, there was a piece of that tape stick on the wire and the cases though they didn't hold for long." The shark officer answered.

"That could only mean that whoever robbed this exhibit must expected that the glass case wouldn't be hanging around for long, and the tape would hold just long enough." Carmilita theorized.

"Girls, stay with this officer and behind the yellow tape. I'm going to take it out." Carmilita ordered before entering the crime scene.

"And Catra, please give the officer back her teaser." Carmilita said.

The shark officer is shocked to hear that and looks at one pocket of her utility belt to find her teaser missing, she looks over to Carta who has the teaser with a sheepish smile as she gives it back.

Carmilita looks around to see if she can find any clues about the robbery found out about certain items were taken such as a pair of silver boxing gloves, a stethoscope with a blue heart mark on the side, a military badge along with a model plane, and a pair of white and red running shoes.

She wonders why someone would go about taking these things besides the money thing, but then she spotted something on the floor.

"Let se what we have here." Carmilita pulled out a pair of tweezers from her pocket and picks up the object.

Upon closer inspection, this object appears to be a piece of fabric with a little stain on it though she notices something a little off with the stain as she sniffs it with her nose.

"Huh, smells like… tomatoes? Muy extraña, better have the boys check this out." Carmilita said.

But then she notices something else is on the little fabric, it looks like something shiny but also transparent that is almost hard to see though she can tell what that is.

"Scale, looks like someone might be reptile." Carmilita whispered to herself.

"Inspector Fox, we found some any trances of salt on the floor." One gorilla officer informed.

"Salt?" Carmilita raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm confused about that too, but one of our guys stumbled upon them while testing out his new magnifying glass." The gorilla officer explained.

"Esto se está volviendo más y más curiosa, first this fabric with the tomato scent stain and now we find salt on the floor too." Carmilita said.

"Something tells me this criminal who robbed this exhibit must've had himself some snack before coming here, a small quick snack that he would eat on the way here and during the robbery." Carmilita figured that part out.

"Huh, the only thing I could think of that involves tomatoes and salt is… French fries." The gorilla officer guessed.

"French fries, but the nearest restaurant from here to get those would be about one and a half mile from here." Carmilita recalled that.

"Have the boys scan the scale on this fabric and search for any other place that may have also French fries and ketchup." Carmilita ordered.

The gorilla officer nodded, he pulls out a small plastic bag for the fox woman to put in the evidence and he walks away.

"Inspector Fox, I'm so sorry to say this but… I lost the kids!" The shark officer informed in fear.

"WHAT?!" Carmilita shouted in rage.

"We were playing a game, and they were spinning me around which was fun, but then I found out they weren't around anymore." The shark officer explained.

"Of course, Catra wouldn't stay in one place for long." Carmilita sighed.

"Alright, let me know if you find anything about the robber. I got some kids to round up." Carmilita said before leaving the crime scene.

It didn't take long for Carmilita to find the kids as they were walking around and using her detective skills to find out which way Catra would lead them, and just in time before they could cause any trouble and Catra stealing some things.

"I swear, I tried to stop them." Adora pleaded with her case.

"I know you were, mi sobrina, I'm just glad nothing bad happened." Carmilita said.

"We were just trying to have fun." Catra defended in her case.

"I know, but you have to understand that every action has consequences, and you have to be careful that those consequences don't hurt any people." Carmilita lectured.

"Does that mean I'm grounded?" Catra asked.

"No, you're lucky I still want to make this a good day for us." Carmilita chuckled, deciding on letting Catra off the hook, this time.

"So, are we getting something to eat?" Scorpia asked as she rubs her belly.

"Of course, we're going for McDuck!" Carmilita nodded, which the kids cheer for this.

(McDuck)

Carmilita and the kids arrived at the fast-food restaurant where the kids got their kid happy meals, along with the free toy, while the Inspector woman herself just got herself a burger and some fries with one order of a cup of coffee.

And now, they have arrived at a playground the fox woman promised them some fun and they were very please.

"Arrgh, you'll never take me alive, Admiral Fox!" Catra pretended to be a pirate with Scorpia and Entrapta being her crew, obviously.

"Don't think the sea will help you escape, Catra the Blue Cat Pirate Captain!" Adora shouted, playing the pirate as the admiral.

"Good to see those kids are going well." Carmilita chuckled.

"Fresh French fries, get your fresh pack of French fries right here! Freshly made to experience the taste of the USA of how they added our country's language!" A French fry salesman announced.

"Hey, lady, do you want some French fries?" The French fry salesman offered one pack of French fry to Carmilita.

"No, I'm fine. Just enjoying the day with my kids." Carmilita turned down the food.

"Okay, thought you were in a rush like that one guy earlier." The French fry salesman mentioned.

"I bet." Carmilita nodded.

"Yeah, the guy was really in a hurry about getting to the museum to see that women exhibit." The French fry salesman chuckled, and this caught Carmilita's attention.

"Aunt Carmilita, we found this bag in the sand, and we think someone lost it." Adora reported as she and the other kids came in showing the bag.

Carmilita looks inside and became surprised to see the four missing items from the women exhibit of the museum, then she immediately figured out the robber is the same guy who came here for the French fry from this man.

"Sir, did this man by any chance have scales?" Carmilita asked.

"Oh yeah, it'd be weird for a chameleon not to have scales." He nodded.

A chameleon, that's how the guy snuck into the museum with the ability to change his body to the background while that exhibit was still close, then there was this bag founded in the sand by the girls meaning the robber must've hidden it here and would come back for it later which means he should be coming back very soon.

Carmilita narrows her eyes at the sand looking for any sign of the chameleon until she spotted footprints appearing in the sand, she took out her shock pistol and fired an electric shot that zapped the robber to revealing himself.

"What the f" The robber was punched down and knocked-out by Carmilita who rushed in.

"You are under arrest." Carmilita cuffed the chameleon's wrist while the girls and the French fry salesman cheers for her.

"Best. Mom. EVER!" Catra jumped onto Carmilita as she smiles.
