Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Star Trek and Mass Effect. Enjoy the 800-word story. I do not own Star Trek… Paramount and a few others do.

There was something else to think of… Now and it was all too curious at the end of the day.

Then again? It was secondary to the fact the Federation and the Romulans were busy waging war upon each other… The two groups duking it out within a field of stars.

Why did the Federation care so much? These stars seemed to be unique, showing off energy readings and opportunity knocked on their door…. Leading the Federation to come knocking.

What they did not know? Well, was either the Romulans wanted to have said power themselves… Or it was a trap, one they had waged PURELY to get rid of the Federation.

Something about this all had been too much now. He was curious once more at the end.

He was all too much to deal with… And so were the Romulans… Now and good would this come to a head.

There was so much going on as BOTH ships battled with each other.

He had something else to occur now… And this was too much for him… So blasted much for now.

It was all too much for now.

It would remain too much for now… Not that he wanted something else in the way… All such things had to end now… But for them? This war certainly did before it consumed too much of the fighting space they were surrounded by.

It was almost too much as another torpedo exploded directly off the bow of their ship.

"Admiral? We have almost lost shields… And they continue to assault us… I have 2 more contacts coming in." He heard.

It made him frown, knowing what was coming…. He was no fool when it came to combat.

Now it had ended… The moment of peace had ended…. It would always end like this and always boil over… Now.

Now and good had this ended. It would help only slightly if he was right.

"If they wanted us dead? We would be free floating debris." The admiral stated, frowning. "It takes a Romulan to know a Romulan. They will be pressing their advantage towards us, we need to continue the attack, push them back." He added to himself for now.

It was too much to deal with… But life required sacrifices, it required more than they were willing to give now.

It was something else to deal with, something beyond the pale…. Yes. It was all going to end now, all too much for them to bear when it was said and done.

Then again? He was confused as to how it would be now… Very much was too much for now… He had been too distracted for now… All of it was too much, it had to end, and it would continue to relax.

Being an admiral meant being a soldier, one who could act for now.

Another explosion shook their flagship. The Romulans were dangerous… So was he.

"Keep them in the distance… Their warbirds will destroy us if we continue to press the advantage." He stated, folding his arms behind him.

The other Romulans bothered him as he knew better… He knew much better now than this.

It had hurt… It had cut deeper and deeper… It was too much for now at the end of the day.

Battles were too much, he was distracted now and distracted far beyond the pale. The Federation was simply not used to such chaos.

Then again? It was odd. He had commanded a warship before…. But this? It was odd in a thousand different ways… And he could not fathom how it would be.

How they would fight, however? As a Romulan? He knew all too well the tactics that would be used… Used by their leaders. He knew how they fought.

But now things would end… There was a fight now, a fight to strike out at the enemy.

There was something else to deal with…. A battle, unlike the others… And he must win today.

But it was odd too much… To the end…

Yes, at the end… Such was life and life was good now…. Well, it was without the explosions… And the portal which had sucked them all up into it.

He would curse himself later. That part ended things.
