Reyna lashed out with a kick to the pad that Frank held in his right hand. She took a step back and let out exhausted breaths. Her limbs were sore, and she wasn't sure how long she had been going after the pads that Frank held up.

"Should we take a break?" Frank questioned. Reyna nodded and walked towards the corner of the ring. She grabbed a towel to wipe her face. Then, she drained a bottle of water, wincing as the cold water felt like it was burning her throat.

As Reyna finished the bottle, she tried to toss it into the trash. Her sore limbs caused it to completely miss and nearly hit Piper. Reyna winced, "Sorry!"

"It's okay," Piper said as she picked up the water bottle and tossed it into the trash. She made her way toward the ring. "Um, Jupiter and Lupa want to talk to you."

"Oh," Reyna exhaled. "Do you know why?"

"They didn't say," Piper responded. Reyna nodded and slowly got out of the ring. "Hey, um. Are you okay?"

"Okay with what?" Reyna asked.

"Just everything," Piper began. "I know that it's been a lot the last few months, and I haven't asked how you've been. I know that I'm not technically your manager but still."

"Thank you, Piper. I appreciate you checking on me," Reyna said. "I'm handling it the best that I can. It's nice to know that everyone here supports me. I should get going to the office. But, thank you again."

Piper nodded and smiled at her. Reyna returned it with a small smile. She crossed the gym and opened the door. Reyna took the stairs two at a time and rubbed her healing wrist. It was still sore, but she knew it could handle the training and fight ahead. Her ribs were mostly healed, but deep or quick breaths still hurt.

Reyna wiped away more sweat on her face and glanced down at herself. With a tank top and gym shorts, she wasn't exactly ready for any kind of fancy meeting. Reyna stopped outside the door and knocked.

"Come in," Lupa's muffled voice called. Reyna stepped into the office and looked at Lupa. She looked away even quicker and focused on Jupiter. "Reyna, thank you for coming so quickly."

"We just wanted to discuss a few things," Jupiter said. "Take a seat."

Reyna nodded and walked towards a free chair that felt really close to Jupiter. Their knees almost touched as she sat down. Jupiter studied her and spoke, "Your fight with Clarisse will go on as planned."

"I wasn't aware that there was a chance it might not," Reyna began.

"We had to investigate whether or not Hedge's tampering was also backed by gambling where either you or Clarisse would take a fall and upset the market," Jupiter explained.

"I would never do that," Reyna protested as she interrupted him. Jupiter held up a hand.

"Clarisse gave a similar and much more vulgar reaction. I know that both of you wouldn't, but these are steps that we have to take," Jupiter said. "Now, I expect an amazing fight from the two of you."

Reyna nodded as Jupiter continued, "We also have an interview planned for you and Annabeth next week. Your interview will highlight your fight along with asking your thoughts on going against Annabeth or Arachne if you win your fight. It will air in our prime slot, and the best quotes will be used in a promotional package."

"It is prerecorded, so you can take time to think of your answers and even do retakes," Lupa chimed in.

"We also have one of our lawyers coming in to question you about what happened with Hedge," Jupiter said. Reyna felt herself tensing, and she opened her mouth. "You are not in trouble and will not be in trouble either. We do need all the details for a case against Hedge."

Reyna nodded and remained silent. Jupiter stood, "I should get going. Reyna, will you walk me to my car?"

"Um, yeah," Reyna began as she stood.

"Have a good one, Lupa. I will see you soon," Jupiter said.

"It was a pleasure as always," Lupa said with a bow of her head. Reyna looked between them and slowly followed Jupiter out of the office. They walked down the hallway silently and then down the stairs. As they made it outside, Jupiter looked at her.

"There is one more piece of business," Jupiter said. He slowed his pace as they made it to his car.

"Which is?" Reyna slowly asked.

"Lupa is being inducted into the hall of fame as you know, but as with all inductions, we have someone introduce her before she makes a speech," Jupiter explained. "Lupa never had a career-defining rival. In fact, she rose above all of her peers."

"None of her opponents would be good to induct her," Jupiter continued. Reyna nodded and crossed her arms. "She does have a gym of fighters she has trained. All of them look up to her. Not to mention the fighter that she gave her nickname to."

"So you want me to introduce her?" Reyna guessed.

"I know that the relationship between you and Lupa has not been the best lately, but I do know that it would mean the world for you to induct Lupa into the hall of fame," Jupiter said. Reyna looked away.

Reyna knew how big of a deal this was to Lupa. She was going to not just be honored but be the headliner for the hall of fame that year. And it was the year of their anniversary. Reyna slowly spoke, "That means I have to give a speech?"

"We can always get you help to write a speech," Jupiter offered. Reyna sighed.

"I'll do it," Reyna said softly. "I know how much it means to Lupa, and she has done a lot for me."

"I know Lupa will be happy," Jupiter said. "If it makes you feel better, she gave us a list of people she would like to introduce her. You were at the top of the list."

Reyna nodded as conflict boiled in her chest. She did want to induct Lupa. It was an absolute honor. That didn't mean it would be easy. The speech had to be personal, but when Reyna thought of Lupa now, all she thought of was how Lupa knew her mother.

It was something they needed to talk about, but Reyna couldn't bring herself to do it. An angry sigh left her. Then, she closed her eyes. Reyna inhaled and exhaled once again. Then, she made her way back inside. Nico was sitting at the receptionist's desk and on the phone.

Reyna leaned on the counter as Nico finished the call. He hung up the phone and looked at her. Reyna spoke, "Put me down for a five o'clock meeting with Octavian. Tell him no opera music."

Nico rolled his eyes. He motioned outside with his head, "Everything good?"

"Yeah. I guess it's a surprise, but Jupiter wants me to introduce Lupa with a speech at the ceremony," Reyna said as she grabbed a stapler to play with.

"I'm surprised you agreed," Nico commented. Reyna shrugged and didn't meet his eyes. "You okay?"

"Tired," Reyna answered. "I'm trying to focus on my fight with Clarisse but not let it consume me. And, I have all these thoughts in my head I'm trying to work through. I know the solution is to talk to Lupa, but..."

"I don't know," Reyna finished. She rested her forehead on the counter.

"It's not easy," Nico said. Reyna chuckled and gave a small nod. She looked back up and focused on Nico. "You just need more time."

"Yeah," Reyna agreed. "What about you? Are you okay going back to Italy?"

"Going home? Hell no," Nico replied. "I'm sick to my stomach about it."

"I'm sorry," Reyna began. Nico shook his head and clenched his jaw. "Hey, we don't have to talk about it. Just know I'm here for you."

"Thank you," Nico said. He looked at Reyna. "We are going to eat at every restaurant we can."

"Of course we are," Reyna stated. "I still have to ask Kinzie and Hylla if they want to go. I hope they say yes."

"You're handing them a free honeymoon. I'm sure they will," Nico assured. Reyna smiled at him and pushed herself off of the counter as the phone rang. "Sorry."

"Hey, it's your job now," Reyna shrugged. "Have fun, Nico. I'll see you after work."

Nico smiled at her and answered the phone. Reyna smiled back and walked back into the gym. Her hand rubbed her wrist. She was a little worried about how sore it was, but Will reassured her it was simply because she hadn't used it in some time.

Reyna just needed to take it one day at a time and focus on her fight with Clarisse. Reyna could not wait to knock the stupid, cocky smirk off of Clarisse's face. It was just a matter of getting back into fighting shape. Then, no one could stop her.
