Reading some more comic books, Gumball and Pipsqueak heard some kind of caw from inside the cottage. Something like a demonic chicken clucking. Fluttershy hovered herself downstairs to see what it was. "Goodness, what is that noise?" she said out loud to herself before opening the back door to see the sound. Many of her animal friends were nowhere to be seen around her abode, but her chickens were still inside of their coop. The larger animals such as Harry the friendly bear, were cowering under rocks, and covering their eyes like they just saw something evil. The yellow pegasus looked to and fro at where the cawing voice was coming from, then she heard it again, making her leap with an adorable squeal of fright, and hovering in midair.

Looking down, it was something very surprising to her. Why, it was a very interesting creature to come up to the yellow pegasus. This thing was a creature half chicken and half... dragon? A cockatrice. supposedly one of the most dangerous creatures in all of Equestria.

"Oh, my." Fluttershy said to herself quietly. This cockatrice had a normal chicken head with white feathers, and a green dragon body. "Ummmm... hello." she said to it. "Can I... help you?" the cockatrice looked up at her with a sad face and looking like it was about to cry. "What's the matter, little baby?"

The cockatrice let out a few croaking sounds of sadness and revealed his left wing, which looked a little out of proportion.

Fluttershy made a gasp as she realized something. "Oh! You poor, poor, thing." She said in great sympathy. "You broke your wing while accidentally hitting a boulder in the Everfree forest?"

Nodding a sad "yes" to her, the cockatrice let out a few more croaks and squawking to explain this more to her.

"Come here, sweetie. I will patch you right up. Gumball? Pipsqueak? Can you please give me a hoof in this?"

Pip made a yell in fear. "Sweet Celestia! A cockatrice! Don't look at him, Fluttershy!"

"Don't worry, it's not a dangerous one. He's only injured, Pip.

"What's a cockatrice?" Asked Gumball

"Dangerous monsters with the head of a chicken and the body of a dragon." Pip explained to his new best friend. "But they are dangerous because if you look at one in the eyes, it will turn you to stone! You'll be a dead statue!"

"Whoa, sounds like Medusa a little."

"Who's Medusa?" Asked Fluttershy

"It's complicated." Gumball pointed flatly. "But she's a very famous mythical monster that gets put into movies and games often, and... there are some weird artworks of her. But anyway, why do you want to help this creature?"

"Because it's the kind thing to do." Fluttershy pointed. "He came to me for help and i can't just turn down a poor, injured creature. Dangerous or not. And besides, many ponies get cockatrices all wrong. They can be nice and sweet if treated well-enough. So come on, can you please help me with this little one?" the beast looked at the boys with a pleading look on his face, and it was giving the puppy dog eyes with its blood-red ones.

"OK, but please make sure it won't turn us to stone, ok?" said Gumball. "Got a bad feeling about this though."

Fluttershy recognized the cockatrice by looking into its eyes. "Wait... I remember you." She said. "You're the one who turned Twilight and Elizabeak to stone, aren't you?"

the injured cockatrice looked at her, and bowed it's head in utter shame, and nodded its head slowly.

"Well, it's... nice to see you, again. I hope you haven't been turning other creatures into stone, have you?" Fluttershy began to sound like a stern mother.

Nodding it's head a no, the cockatrice let out more squawks and clucks from itself, making the yellow Pegasus smiled

"Good." Said the yellow Pegasus. "Now let me see where the first aid kit is." She gently placed him on her table, on a table cloth and went into one of her drawers to look for her first aid kit.

Gumball and Pip looked worried about this idea, and covered their eyes as the dragon-chicken creature was looking at the boys. "You're not looking, are you Pip?"

"Of course not. Only a fool would just look at a cockatrice in the eyes, unless they want to be turned into dead statues."

"Oh they only turn yours to stone when they feel threatened and at will. You can look at them. And I don't think this one has any intention to do so."

The boys let out a sigh of relief and looked at the creature, who was giving them a sad look like he was in pain (which he is)

Meanwhile

in Elmore, Nicole was in her own sister's house, even though she didn't really want to be, but the cat woman really wanted to make it up to his own firstborn son for her past behavior over the years, and wanted to be a better mother to him after all she had done.

And of course, her family urged her to give this a try since her last therapy lesson ended in a slight fiasco.

She was putting on a black sleeveless yoga unitard while Penelope a green one. "Gah, I feel so awkward wearing this leotard." Nicole groaned

"Actually, it's a unitard." said Penelope. "Leotards don't really have leg sleeves."

"Ugh, whatever." Nicole sighed.

"And don't worry, sis. You'll get used to wearing this. In time, it'll feel like you're not wearing anything at all. Trust me, that unitard will grow on you. Now let's get started."

She places the placemats down on her living room floor and turned on her phone to make some beautiful, peaceful, and serene music to brighten the mood of this lesson. "We'll start with the basics, ok?"

"Sure, sure."
