Judy called the elevator, hoping that the mysterious fox hasn't gone too far. Every second ticked by oddly so slowly while she waited for the lift. The red number above slowly ticked over one by one , the lift slowly reached the desired destination. *Ding* The elevator finally reached the floor Judy was on and once the doors slid open, she jumped in with such tremendous speeds. She pressed the button to go to the very bottom. Once again the red digits ticked down so sluggishly, Judy felt every precious second tick by and that well dressed fox getting further and further away. She should've given up at this point but, she already gave up too many times, it was a matter of pride. The metallic doors finally slid open after reaching the bottom and she instantly bolted out of the small metal box. She followed the corridor until she reached the green apartment complex front door. Luckily for her the door swung open outwards instead of inwards so she pressed the handle midsprint and pushed the door open conserving as much momentum as possible. She has now found herself outside and nearly fell on the road. A car just whizzed by ,honking its horn at the reckless bunny. She pulled back just in time to not be a thick red paste splattered for the next 50 metres on the asphalt road. Judy exhaled sharply in relief of her miracle recovery and life-saving decision. She looked left and right. There were too many mammals walking about and the rabbit was way too short to see anything. She decided that she should finally use her physiology to good use and jumped up onto a post box then onto a sign and bounced off of that onto a windowsill and then checked her surroundings again. This time she saw a black mammal roughly fox sized to her right, turning right down the road. She jumped down and rolled to lessen the blow of landing. Now she darted through the massive crowd that was in her way. Fortunately, her small size made it easy to just dance around everyone and hit no-one, however it also caused the issue of not knowing where she was going exactly. After about 30 seconds of sprinting , she reached the spot that she was hoping to reach. Now, the pavement was clearer so the doe knew where she was going now. She jogged down the road , mentally praying that she sees the fox again. After all, the amount she was given was a life-saving lump of cash, she needed to show her gratitude. There were many turns and alleyways, all poorly lit even in the middle of the day. Judy started thinking , how would she show her thanks? Just say thank you? Seemed quite underwhelming for such an arduous trip but maybe the trip itself shown how grateful she was. What was his name again, he said call him 'Spectral Showman' seems quite aggressive but there must've been a good reason for such a name.

5 minutes earlier

The fox left the room that the bunny lived in. He hoped she would accept the money and listen to what the note demands of her. I mean it was a simple request. 'Forget that Duke even existed'. Sure maybe it wasn't easy but given enough time , he will be forgotten. He continued down the corridor, until he reached the stairs. Stairs seemed to be faster for the fox but that might just be because he is in constant motion and not standing still waiting. He essentially barrelled down the 6 flights of stairs ,reaching the wanted latitude. He proceeded down the cheaply made corridor and opened the dark green rusted door that separated the inside and outside. He stepped through the opened threshold and entered the outside world. Outside he saw a massive crowd of mammals approaching him . He decided that it would be perfect to conceal himself especially since most mammals were larger than him and so towered over him. He walked through the bustling streets and tried to lose all that could follow him before turning right. 'Should be the alleyway on the right , 5 from here.' Spectre just wanted his payment so he could go back home and rest, today was a slower day so he was willing to make the most of it. He carried on to the alley that he was meant to meet his client. The client was a ewe that was the secretary to Bellwether. The ewe was grey instead of white or black , which was peculiar but with the elite social class that most sheep possessed, she was seen as extra special instead of what she truly was. This preconception allowed the sheep to punch way above her deserved station, getting many promotions she did not deserve. The fox didn't question it or care , he only wanted his money and then would leave. As long as the client had no quarrel the employee had no quarrel, and the 'showman' believed that, emotion had no place in business, especially if it hindered performance, which was critical in a business like this. One hesitation, one mistake, one unwanted emotion, and your target could escape for ever or you could be found and killed. That would really ruin your career. Death, the biggest dampener, but also the biggest motivation. You never know when you would kick the bucket and have everything taken from you , just like that. It was a force of nature, the inescapable. That gave it a sense of adventure and fun to see how you would see it. He reached the agreed on destination and looked around, looking for the mammal that had the cash that now belonged to the spectral showman. "Show yourself, I have better things to do." No-one showed up, so the fox smelled the air to see if any mammals were here. How could he have been so foolish, what if it was a sting? She had a connection to Bellwether and he knew it, maybe she contacted the police about this. There was a smell of another mammal in the area. "Who is here? Show yourself before I find you in pieces and you won't want to be in little bite size pieces." Finally, the grey ewe emerged from the darkness within the alleyway. "You know it's not nice to keep mammals waiting."

"I take it the impoverished predator scum has been neutralised."

"Ooooh big words, I wonder what they mean. Yes , Mr Weaselton has been killed, and you know what that means."

The ewe rolled her eyes, "Yes yes, you predators and your need for money to survive."

"Just because you" Spectre crouched down slightly now and jabbed the ewe in the shoulder, "weren't ever poor and don't know what struggling means , doesn't mean only predators do." He stood back up. "So don't assume that I do because I'm a chomper, unless you want a demonstration of why that name exists." The fox winked as he said that. The ewe pulled out a stack of zoolars and gave it to the well dressed fox. "Ewe wouldn't believe it , it's all here."

"Now that you are happy, I think it is fair that we are pleased as well now. We can't let predators have any power or joy ,now can we?" Just as the ewe said that a larger ram charged at the fox. Spectre slid to the left and avoided the attack.

"Hah all that size and still you miss." He looked back at the ewe, "I have no reason to fight ewe so don't give me one." Just as he said that , she pulled out a pistol to try and shoot him. He rolled his eyes and roundhouse kicked the gun away towards the entrance of the alley. "What did I just say? Do ewe need to pull wool out of your ears." He turned around . "Hey big guy , I don't want a hug." He jumped back and barely avoided the squeeze attack that was presented by the large ram. "How nice of a blanket do you think you can make out of your wool?" The two sheep were starting to get agitated. They were being beaten by an inferior mammal and he was talking shit to them. The ram started swinging more wildly ,trying to hit the obnoxious fox. "Not the fur , I just got it combed today." The fox smiled while saying that. He kept avoiding all the attacks that were sent towards him. "Okay, I've had enough of this game, wanna see why foxes are predators?"

The two sheep staggered at that line, Spectre just noticed that the smaller ewe had her phone out. Not good, back-up would arrive soon. This hesitation caused the fox to be grabbed by the huge ram. "What did I just say, watch the fur, you are ruining it."

"Silence fox , you don't deserve to live so shut up and take this merciful death." The fox laughed at that statement. He found it hilarious, he didn't know why he just did.

"Death is always merciful, it is a sweet release, a luxury one could say, but I'm gonna have to pass. Also as you can see I'm very silent so good luck with that." The ewe pulled out a longish (for her size) knife and held it before the fox's neck.

"Any last words?"

"You know what , yes , you're a bitch, you needed a distraction, unintentional or not and a mammal thrice my size to beat me and yet I still hold the advantage."

To everyone's surprise, especially the fox's, a bunny appeared at the entrance of the alleyway, holding the ewe's pistol. "Let him go."

3 minutes earlier.

Judy carried on moving at a brisk pace, all the alleys were barren. 'Where could he have gone? There's not many places to hide here' she looked back at all the alleys. 'Okay there's a few spots to hide but it's a smartly dressed formal fox with good manners and good sense of self, where would he hide.' Judy looked left and saw kits playing on a playground. "Oh, there's a playground here, I should really learn my local area better." She was enthralled by the kits giggling and cheering. That was until she remembered what she was doing again and continued down the path that laid before her. She checked down the alley again and once again nothing. She sped up slightly, hoping she hasn't missed him. 'How difficult is it to say thank you to someone? That's literally all I want to do.' Judy rolled her eyes and mentally sighed. This was starting to get boring. That was until she heard a voice, one she recognised from the next alleyway. "What did I say, watch the fur, you are ruining it." She ran towards the irregularly loud voice. She reached it and heard a different mammal "Any last words?" That scared Judy, she didn't want the fox to be killed for what she thought was no good reason. She wanted to save the fox but was too scared to run in there. She looked into the alleyway and saw a pistol on the floor.

"You know what , yes , you're a bitch, you needed a distraction, unintentional or not and a mammal thrice my size to beat me and yet I still hold the advantage." Judy ran and picked up the sidearm. She pointed it towards the two sheep she just spotted and pointed it towards the three of them generally.

"LET HIM GO!" Judy yelled at them, which must've caught them all off guard . The ewe was confused.

"Isn't this your natural predator, why would you help such a scumbag, a disease that should be cleansed?"

"Because you are wrong. He isn't that. As far as I'm concerned , he is a friend and has helped me for no good reason. If anything, you are the scum" The ewe stared at the doe , who was still pointing the gun at them. "Now let him go."

"Okay enough chit-chat, it's quite uncomfortable here. I'd really want to be let go now, atleast until this convo is done. Would that be good?" The fox turned his head to the ram that was holding him. The ram shook his head. "Aww, you're a buzzkill you know." The ewe was starting to get infuriated by the lack of reason behind the prey that should be helping her. She wanted to help this fox and had no logical reason for it.

"Fine, you can die with this stain. Break a few eggs to make an omelette."

"Ooh omelette, I'd like one about now." Judy chuckled at that one and slightly let the pistol lower. Just then the ewe charged at Judy. Judy raised the pistol and hesitated for a few seconds before *BANG*. She pulled the trigger, she actually pulled the trigger. She started shaking and threw the gun away. The shot was most likely heard for miles. The fox saw this and decided that enough was enough. He pulled out a knife from his sleeve a thin one and stabbed the mammal holding him in place. "Sorry, gotta cut." The ram groaned in pain and let the fox go. "Well, now you won't cut yourself shaving." The fox said before slitting the ram's throat. "Well , I got my money." He was about to run away but stopped when he realised that this mammal just helped a shady fox and committed murder as a thank you. He stopped and came back. "Listen, you will be fine but you have to go, unless you want a free one way taxi ride to behind bars."

The rabbit looked at the still warm body of the ewe beside her. "Okay, it was you or her, you can't be like that." God mammals are difficult to deal with and this fox had to deal with a very difficult one. "Judy, why are you even upset and hung over about this. That woolhead wouldn't care if you died, maybe a little but would say it was worth it." The bunny raised her head at her name. "Just follow me." The fox started climbing the wall to a fire exit and lowered the ladder. "Climb up. Before you are in orange." The rabbit complied and hurried up the ladder then followed the vulpine to the top of the building. "How good is your jumping?"

"Good enough, I think."

"Well, we are about to find out Ms. Hopps , hopefully you tap into your namesake for this part. Wouldn't want to miss." The fox darted across the rooftop and jumped to one nearby. Judy reciprocated the action. They both continued until they reached a fire exit that was at a safe distance. "Come , it's safe . No-one will hurt you."

"Why did you help me?"

"When?"

"At my place."

"You didn't read the note , did you?"

"What note?"

"There it is, so actually it was a bribe. Most of the time I wouldn't but, he was your only friend at the time possibly due to my actions but I wanted him to do something different if he was about to be killed, so he was nice to you. What surprised me was that you two started to have a platonic relationship. Really? He robbed you."

"He was misunderstood."

The fox was going to say something but didn't know what. "I agree. That he was."

"But you killed him."

"A job is a job, after I sign the dotted line I can't say no. I'm never close with anyone so it never hurts. But I know everyone so I always know who I'm going to kill. Just the name is given and that's it."

Judy used the time to study the face of the fox. It was russet fur with brown lines in his fur ,breaking the red on his muzzle , face and down his neck. It looks like the pattern continues on his chest and back. "So why did you come?" This question broke Judy out of thought.

"I wanted to thank you. That money may have saved my life."

The fox stared deadpan. "That desperate?"

"Yeah, unfortunately."

'Hah take that ewe bleached bitch, your facts are wrong. This prey is in poverty aswell.' The fox was happy inside but didn't show it. Instead he shown empathy or atleast feigned it as well as he could. Clearly it was a convincing act as she believed it.

"Did you kill Duke? I only assumed and you didn't say yes or no."

The fox stared at the doe and removed his shades to show he was serious, even though he pretty much admitted to it. " Yes, I did kill him. We had a nice conversation and he spoke highly of you. I was impressed. Then I killed him. That was when I found your phone in his pocket. "

"He did lie to me. And so did you."

"Well, I had a very good reason to missy. I'm a literal contract killer. He didn't, yet I think he wanted to give it back , just didn't because of me." The doe was lost for words, both statements that were said made a lot of sense to her. He wouldn't confess to essentially mass murder and Duke wanted a reason to keep talking and maybe even add his number to her phone. "You see what I mea-"

A heavy voice from behind boomed. "There's that Satan-spawn."

The fox chuckled, "Well I am devilishly handsome." He then turned to the rabbit , "Stay behind me and you will be fine."

"I can handle myself you know."

"Weren't you just upset that you killed someone?"

"So? I'm not anymore and I wasn't going to kill them."

"Fair enough, they are much bigger." Three rams entered the alley , all bigger than the fox and bunny combined.

"What will you do now, foxtrot?" The fox smiled at that comment, he sent his his hand behind his back. He pulled out a pistol and killed the two rams on the side. There was no bang only a slight psst sound twice. The accuracy was commendable as both rams fell to the ground due to their wounds. Two died and one remained.

"I think, I will enjoy this."

The fox ran towards the huge ram after putting his pistol back in his holster. He feigned a jump but then used the upward momentum to crash to the floor and slide. The ram sent a punch downwards but just missed. "Must be crushing. You missed." He sent a roundhouse kick at the ram's leg , dropping the huge mammal onto one side. The vulpine used this to run up the wall and jump off of it , sending a foot plunging into the ram's cheek. The ram was sent crashing into the paved floor below him. A few teeth fell out of his mouth. "Any last words, or did I rock your world upside down." He smirked . "Ah too slow." He said cutting the ram off before he crouched down and snapped his neck. "That was fun." He then thought about that for a second. "Actually no it wasn't." He looked back at the rabbit that followed him. To his shock, the ewe was still alive, and fighting the rabbit. And the rabbit was winning? "Wow she has potential."

A few moments earlier.

The fox ran in front of the scared rabbit. She heard clanging from above her and looked up. "Hello, rabbit. You must've thought you could've gotten rid of me that easy but no, I'm much tougher than that." The ewe jumped down in front of Judy.

"Ewe" The sheep rolled her eyes at that. The sheep pulled her knife out. "Uh oh." The ewe smiled and lunged. The bunny bounced backwards and hit the wall behind her. That was an issue. The knife missed though so crisis averted for now. The ewe slashed diagonally at the rabbit, who ducked under it and found an opening to attack. She sent a roundhouse kick to the ewe's side and then used her other foot to knock the knife away. The knife clanged against the bins that were laying there. The ewe was shocked at that, this random stranger knew how to defend themselves well enough to not get stabbed. The ewe was now angrier than before.

"You will not make a mockery of me, pred-sympathiser." Judy didn't care, she just sent a right hook at the ewe's face, which hurt both of them. Judy would need to work on her punches but right now, kicks would be enough. She jumped up and bounced off of the wall that was directly behind her. She then spun her body in the few seconds that she flew through the air and knocked the ewe out by crashing into her with her full weight, which admittedly wasn't that much but was enough to deal significant damage. The ewe fell to the floor with a crash. Clapping was heard from behind the ewe. "I'm impressed I must say, with proper training, you could be practically unstoppable."

Judy blushed a bit. "That's high praise coming from you."

"Oh ewe know it is. Should I, you know?" Judy shook her head.

"She will be asleep for a while this time."

"Okay... Come we aren't out of the woods yet." The two started walking semi-casually through the streets to get somewhere. Where wasn't yet known to the rabbit.

"What happened to your formal elegant tongue?"

"Oh I was being polite and respectful to you, I'm a showman at heart so I have fun when the show begins." The fox winked. Judy blushed a bit at that comment. Sirens were then heard in the distance. "Try to be calm in case they see you. You don't want to fuck up now ,do you?" Judy shook her head in fear. She was really panicking about the current situation and hoped that she wouldn't be questioned. A cruiser drove past and neither the fox nor the rabbit reacted , both trying their best to play it cool to varying degrees of success. "They don't know you are involved and the only one that know is unconscious or trying to protect you. There is no reason to panic." The two continued down the road until a car stopped. A moose and a boar stepped out and walked towards the duo. Panic was rising rapidly for the bunny.

"What's going on here? Ma'am is this fox bothering you?" Just like that Judy stopped panicking, she was upset that a mammal was suspicious because he was a fox, something that was predetermined before and wasn't a choice.

"No, he isn't. He's helping me find my way back since I'm lost."

"Very well, good to see some foxes have manners, shame you are a fox though." The fox rolled his eyes behind his shades and Judy hid her anger.

The officers walked away to search the alleys that littered the street. The duo continued walking in the same direction that they were heading before. "How do you deal with the prejudice?"

"I just don't care anymore about it, that's it. No more no less. If they say something that isn't true, why make them think it's true by causing more problems. Just do nothing sometimes works." Judy looked at the fox, she felt sorry for him, so much pain stuffed inside that suit. That wasn't healthy to deal with.

"Does it hurt?" The fox stopped when he heard that. No-one ever cared for what he thought , he was stumped. He never even thought about if it hurt so he was unsure about how to answer that question before replying.

"Yes but not as much as when I was younger. It gets easier the longer you live with it, and once again , I have to deal with the pain every day so I'm fine."

"But you shouldn't have to. It's a terrible way to live."

Spectre opens a door that looked disgusting but was connected to a quite nice apartment block. "In here, no-one is looking." Judy rushed in and showman closed the door. "Welcome to casa del espectro. You'll be fine here for a while."

"Thanks but you don't have to do this."

"You're right, I don't have to, but I want to. No-one ever asked about me, that's why I froze. You cared for what I felt. Do you know how disorienting such a question is for me now?" Judy shook her head no. "That's just how bad it is for me at this point." The fox sighed. "You have potential, and you need money." Spectre mumbled under his breath.

"Pardon?" Judy didn't hear what the fox just said.

The fox smirked, "You're pretty good at this stuff so I was thinking, since you have the determination and the skill, I could help you train and work with me, then we split the contracts 50/50. Don't worry the contracts pay well enough, and I have some money saved up."

"But, I … I don't think I should."

"You're not wrong, but if you don't someone else will. What I'm offering is the ability to protect yourself and earn money with that skill." The fox tried to explain his stance.

"But killing other mammals isn't..."

"Isn't what? You shown you were willing to kill already. And that is the most difficult part in this job, you get past that and you are practically amazing at this." The vulpine smiled reassuringly. "So what do you say? I don't give this option often so know that you are truly special and have the ability and drive to do this."

Judy thought about the options carefully, on one paw, killing is bad but on the other, it's them or me. "I accept."

"That's fi- wait really? You accept?" The fox was surprised by her agreeing. "Well if that's the case, I'd say try to bring some belonging's here, it is quite a bit nicer than your 'apartment' and it would make it easier for me to teach you and train you to improve your skills. But first your punch, don't think I didn't notice before." Judy smiled, knowing that this was going to be challenging. She always liked a challenge. "Oh and if you don't see me when you wake up don't be alarmed, either I'm upstairs, which you are to not go to, or I'm on the roof having a drink. But first this evening, wanna come to watch me in battle?"

Judy's ears stood up at that question. "What do you mean?"

"Oh underground tournament tonight, I signed up , happens every month. Maybe next month you will apply." The fox winked again.

"Oh ha ha but I don't think I want to be beaten by you."

"There's a female league, but no weight classes so there is that."

"WHAT?"

"That's where the fun comes from. Also about four rounds will be occurring. So it won't be too long." Judy rolled her eyes. "Today you had enough fun, you should rest before tomorrow comes so only watch. Don't worry I'll be fine."

"I know. But they won't be."

A/N: So second chapter already and Judy said yes to literally no-one's surprise most likely (except that fox but it's in the story so...). Wow, if this was a proposal it would be great but it's an opportunity to be a contract killer, eh same difference.

Next chapter I will upload will be for the other longer story that I'm writing, oh god I have so many ideas for that one for both Nick/Judy and Finnick . This new part will be quite slow but a bit essential to Finnick. But I am really struggling to write one part for what Finnick is doing.

This part was to show that Judy was a capable fighter sure, not an amazing fighter but one that could hold her own since she practiced for police duty.

Spectral Showman, what a character am I right? Saying jokes at the worst moments but somehow knowing what to say just that second. Wonder who it could be?

Well, I think I am done writing for today and I have returned from my family trip so expect a few more chapters soon here and there. Other than that have a good one guys until next we meet.

Goodbye guys.
