Fate Whispered to the warrior 'You cannot withstand the storm' and the warrior whispers back 'I am the storm'
Dawnya watched in sorrow at the sight before her. The drips of rain dropping onto her face – the rain descending onto the chaos of the battlefield, the rain dripped down her skin. As the heavens open and with it, the cries for the crying princess followed.
The princess crying over the loss of live of her people.
The loss of innocent.
The loss of the brave warrior whom flew the ticking time bomb into the sky and brought the wing back.
Dawnya stood up, taking a step forward – taking a deep breath she felt the tug at her gut as the winds danced on the rain. She pulled at them, sending them downwards towards the battle. Downwards from the skies above. She glanced up, feeling the rain on her face the dampest spreading as her clothes became sogged.
"SO, EVERYONE PLEASE! STOP FIGHTING!"
The battling slowed to a stop, the rain pouring down onto the bloodied field as Vivi voice carried by the wind finally hitting home.
"The rain is starting to make it clear again..."
"Vivi's voice is heard by everyone." Nami muttered glancing towards Dawnya, before viewing the battlefield.
They'd won.
"Princess Vivi"
"it's princess Vivi"
"Vivi!"
"I thought the princess wasn't here"
The murmurs spread over the battleground.
"Mr crocodile!"
"Why is he down here!"
Once again Vivi's voice carried across the field.
"The rain right now, will fall again like before! Before all the nightmares have ended!"
Dawnya followed the rest of the crew, leaving the princess with her kingdom – they had a captain to find. She walked slowly, at the back of the group, behind zoro who was dragging a heavily bandaged usopp. She watches the pair, every now and then checking on the rest of the crew. All looking worse for wear. She could feel the weariness in her limbs creeping – the feeling growing stronger. Yet she would not rest. Not yet, not till the crew that saved her was safe.
"Oh?"
"There he is" Sanji pointed, him being the font of the group.
Eyes flickered forward, before them, was the king carrying an unconscious Luffy.
"Who are you?" questioned the king wearily.
Sanji spoke first, gesturing to the boy on the kings back. "Err, that guy on your back. He's one of our friends. Thanks for carrying him. Let's switch."
Realisation overcame the kings once guarded features, his eyes flickering to her form in the back. "So, you're the pirate group that brought Vivi back.
"Ha?"
"Who are you mister?"
"Everyone!" Vivi called running over to the group, "huh? Papa!
"Papa!" Sanji exclaimed in surprise.
"I thought I was dead for sure... but this kid saved me" the king explained placing the sleeping captain on the floor.
"Ever after fighting with crocodile, he carried two people to the surface... Such unbelievable power." the king continued, turning to the crew.
"So does that mean the poison is gone already?"
"It should be neutralised"
"But the wounds should be treated you guys too"
Dawnya glanced about as a rustling of fabric streaked her ears. Zoro. The male having sat down, leaning against the wall, the blood staining the damp wall as his wounds leaked slightly. she was worried about the male but reframed from voicing her concerned out loud.
"Vivi, stop bothering with us, hurry up and go" the male swordmen spoke.
"that's right... Let's all go!" the princess huffed, her clothes becoming sogged in the rain.
"Vivi, I think you should know. We're pirates" Sanji grinned, lighting a cigarette as he grinned to the princess. "We don't like to get involved with politics."
"I'm hungry" chopper grumbled, his tongue out as he enjoyed the rain cooling him down in the heat. Nami sitting beside him, nodded. "Can we go to the palace to rest? I'm about to collapse"
Vivi confirmed, before leaving her father in trail, the crew watching till the daughter/father duo was out of sight before anyone moved. Dawnya glanced about watching as one by one the crew collapsed the raining pattering around them. The straw-hat crew slipping into a much-needed nap in the rain.
She felt her body wobble, fatigue begging to take over. The swordswomen bite her lip, tensing up as she fought against the feeling. She wouldn't fall not yet.
Not till there were truly safe.
Her debt would be paid.
She moved, the rain dripping down her arms to the centre of the crew. Siting, her knees under her ankles flat a hand gripping the long nodachi at her side once again anchoring her as she closed her eyes waiting for friends or foes to enter as the circle.
The marines were the first to notice the down crew.
Dawnya opened her eyes, shifting her position, kneeling on one foot the grip on her blade tight. Her muscles tense waiting to spring into action, as the marines stood at the side of the street, they were in discussing themselves the course of action.
"This is an order!" a familiar voice called.
"Sergent! This is a chance we cannot lose!" a marine exclaimed surprised by what the Sergent had ordered.
Dawnya couldn't focus, her vision buries as she continued to force herself awake as the rain dropped around them, her hair sicking to her scaled as hues dulled.
"You will not touch those people! Will you disobey a direct command from me?" the female voice echoed down the rain and winds to the napping crew.
"Why? They are all right there?!"
"We will get promoted for them!"
Greedy marines. She thought numbly. They have no honour.
The voices drifted in and out of her ears, as the sergeant spoke the female voice sounding familiar, where had she heard the voice before? "You really think you earn the right to promote! And..." she felt eyes on her, "enough blood has been slipped today, I'm not losing any of you"
She breathes deeply out, returning to her seated position as the marines turned tail and left.
Returning back to her waiting position.
Waiting for... maybe her next adventure?
-time skip-
By the time help had arrived, Dawnya's body was trembling. Begging to collapse. She couldn't recognise the guards that came before her, her sight blurry and darkness creeping into the edges of her vision – no noticing the familiar robes the guards of the palace worn, not recognising the familiar faces, she seen previous while helping Vivi. . She was running on instinct.
Pure instinct, battle instinct she'd used many times at that place. The place she fights till you died or till the order was given.
Moving to crouched position. Luckily the guards noticed. Slowly there running to a stop.
"We here to help" one of the guards spoke, hands out before him. Taking a step forward to the swaying female – the guards couldn't help but shivered at the sight of her eyes. Dull, dead eyes. "Dawnya, right? You can stand down, we friends. We have orders from Vivi- woah!" the guard quickly stepped forward grabbing the female before she hit the deck.
Finally giving in to the bliss of sleep.
