Fate Whispered to the warrior 'You cannot withstand the storm' and the warrior whispers back 'I am the storm'

Dawnya stepped onto the ship feeling like a new person.

She felt like a weight of the world had been lifted from her shoulders. She didn't have to worry about anyone seeing the brands and dragging her back to that place.

Another link had been cut, a cut, allowing her the freedom she'd dreamed of. The freedom to fly with the birds in the sky the freedom to sail the seas without the baggage of her past.

Yes, she knew that she had a long way to go before she truly was free but...

It was a large step for her to make.

"Sounds like a big fight started, did something happen?" the cowboy wearing women asked, stepping onto the deck.

"Ah Ah! You're back Robin-Chan! Dawnya! Would you like to eat first or take a bath first?" the flirty cook called spotting the pair.

"Where have you been!" Nami shouted over the swooning cook – frustration clearly lining the women's face.

"I went to buy some clothes, for me and Dawnya here. And I also tried to find clues about 'sky island' along the way" the women showed the group of pirates the bags in her hands.

Dawnya blinked, not having realised the women had brought her clothes... and for the women not revealing what SHE had been doing during that time. She hoped that there were breathable clothes. She needed to let the tattoo she'd gotten to feel the air according to Marvin. (The tattooist) He'd given her a whole care plan for the ink... it wasn't a small one.

"Oh yeah! It was all because of you robin! You and your 'sky island' talk! If it doesn't exist, I'll feed you to the sharks!" Nami shouted, frustrated with her lack of results and the humiliation from earlier that day. Dawnya eyes drifted to the swordman – like she'd often did. Noting the injuries on his and Luffy form.

"What happened?" she questioned quietly.

"Just some idiots." The green haired male shrugged, as behind them robins showed the pirates a map. Explaining that the map of Jaya showed them a location for the answered the pirate crew seek.

Or at least a man, who was exiled for talking about his dreams.

Soon enough they made it to the other side of the island. With only a few minor hiccups that didn't need mentioning...

Dawnya was starting to dislike scavenger pirates though...

Dawnya blinked staring at the sight before her.

A giant house. It was at least three times of the height of the going merry. A colour swirl of towers looking imposing on the small ship. She furrowed her brows, sometimes was off about the rich looking house. Something didn't sit right in her stomach. She moved to the edge of the ship, trying to see pass the font.

"Ah! It's just a board!" exclaimed a disappointed Luffy who had jumped to shore.

Sure enough, the giant rich looking house was just a board to cover the real much smaller half house. Yes, half a house – the building appeared to be cut in half like the land it was stood on. Landslide maybe?

"What dreams did he speak about when we were exiled?" Nami asked robin. Curiously lacing her voice as she thought about the man they were coming to meet.

"I don't know all the details" robin admitted for her seat. "Be he talked about a large amount of gold hidden here on Jaya Island"

The mention of gold caused everyone to snapped towards the older women. Gold, the thing the world ran on. She followed the group silently as they stepped onto shore – watching with a tilt of the head as Luffy just walked into the house.

"Should we really be entering someone's house uninvited?" she questioned to no one in-particular. Eyes scanning there surrounding, she spotted a book laying on the stump. It looked old, weathered but still in a good condition. She picked it up, absentmindedly flicking few the pages.

"Oh, what do you have there?" Nami stepped up beside her spotting the book in the swordswomen's hands.

Dawnya shrugged, making no sense of the jumble of letters, she passed it to the ginger – the navigator reading the title out loud. "King of lairs Norland"

Dawnya looked between the pirates as Sanji explained the story of the children's book. She was enraptured in the storytelling. It being somethings she wasn't used too – a tale of adventure and gold but also lies and death. As the main character was executed for lying about the gold.

It was interesting to hear the children's story. Having never really grew up with bedtimes stories in the arena, why would warriors tell bedtime stories of adventure, to young warriors that may not even survive the next day?

It was how they grew up, how the ones before them grew up. A way of life.

She glanced towards the book in the ginger's hands, before walking away. Heading to her now claimed seat at the top of the crow's nest, feeling the wind brush against her skin as she closed her eyes.

The crew could deal with events without her for a little while.

Dawnya quietly followed behind the strong back of the swordman, though unsure about the events leading up to the moment – she opted not to question, after hearing proof of the Skyland and strange pirates one of them apparently Norlands descended agreeing to help them, in purposing their dreams.

She tried to understand their science talk but most of it went over the women's head – and she wasn't like Zoro who could sleep though it all.

She tried to understand but why would you educate a someone made to battle and take orders. None of it made sense to her.

Which lead to this moment, the raven-haired female following the directionally challenge male though the thick woodland in search of a south bird? A bird that would always have its head facing south – it apparently would help the crew sail towards the 'knock-up stream'. The only way to the Skyland.

Though she agreed to split up she wasn't sure whether following the green haired man was the best option.

Plus, it totally wasn't a competition to see who got the bird first...

Totally wasn't.

Not at all.

It didn't help the fact it was dark, and the dense closely packed woodland so not helping the fact that it was hard to search for the tricky bird. Dawnya eyed the bugs that Zoro had easily dealt with.

"So many..." she mumbled staring at the many legged creature that had come for her, Zoro and robin.

"Centipede... an annoyingly overgrown one!" Zoro podded the passed-out or dead creature (she couldn't tell)

"What is it? Are they normally that long?"

"it's called a centipede; they are usually much smaller but roughly having 100 to 300 legs" robin spoke before turning to the green haired muscle brained male. "Killing every one of them is probably bad. They are so pitiful"

Dawnya glanced towards the bugs. Pitiful isn't the word she would use.

"They attacked me first. Don't give me any suggestions!" Zoro grumbled, "by the way... I know you're hiding your true intentions. I still don't trust you! Don't forget that" the male turning stooping off it a certain direction.

Dawnya cocked her head in confusion... Didn't they...

"Just so you know..." robin spoke a small smile on her face.

"What?"

"The way you're heading... it the way back"

Zoro stared blankly at the cowboy hat wearing women. His face blank as the women kept her closed eyed smile.

"CHOH~"

"That sound" Dawnya muttered, turning her in the direction the sound appeared from. Stepping towards it she glanced back towards the pair. "It's this way" she pointed further into the dark woodland of Jaya.

"Come on Zoro, mind the slime" robin smirked at the male stepping behind the light-footed swordswomen. Leaving a grumbling Zoro to trail behind – still within arm's reach though they didn't want to have to search for the male and the bird in the dark woodland.

It seemed - Dawnya wondered sidestepping another abnormal bug that – the bugs and creepy-crawlies of the woodland was trying to make an outright war with them.

It wasn't something she could admit to seeing before – seeing the abnormally large creepy crawly attack them unprovoked.

She gripped onto the Whiteshirt of the green haired swordman – pulling him into the direction of the sounds, of both the bird and the chaos of the other straw hats that slowly were heading to the heart of the woodland.

Luckily the issue was soon solved by robin, capturing the south bird. (Who said as long as she could eye it, she could grab it) It turns out the bird in question, was commanding the other wildlife to attack them.

The crew came back cheerful only for the laugher to drip from their faces at the sight of the beat-up scavenger pirates. The beaten and bloodied bodies for those helping them get to the island in the sky.

She frowned under the black material of her gasmask – brows furrowed as she listened.

The man caring more about helping them then revenge for his stolen gold and battered body.

"Hey Luffy" Zoro muttered earning the captain's attention as he pointed towards a tree, the paint of the logo dripping down the bark.

"it's Bellamy symbol!" Nami exclaimed as she reconsidered the symbol painted on the walls.

"Want my help?"

"I can do it alone"

Dawnya eyes flickered left to right trying to understand the conversation – was this someone they had met before?

"No way Luffy! Quit fooling around! We have less than 3 hours before dawn!" Nami cried out seeming to understand the boy's conversation.

"If I run along the beach, I can reach that city we were in, right?" Luffy turned to the cowboy hat wearing women, completely ignoring the ginger.

"Hey kid!" the pirate, Mont Blanc cricket grunted – struggling to stand "where you are going... don't mind my business!"

"If you want to stop him, you have to use this" Zoro stood tall – gesturing for the blonde to grip his sword.

"I will be back before dawn" Luffy cracked his knuckles, turning to the coast. A shadow gracing over his eyes with the declaration.

Nami spluttered as the captain questioned robin before starting in a dead sprint. "Dawnya!" The ginger shouted watching the retreating figure of the straw-hat captain. "Follow him! Make sure he's back in 3 hours"

Dawnya cocked her head to the side, glancing at the swordmen who gave a subtle jerk of the chin. The dark strands of hair fluttering over her shoulder as she turned. She breathed out slowly before rushing forward. The wind rushing passes her ears while her feet barely contacted the grassy ground below.

Soon enough she caught up with the straw-hat wearing captain. The male silently glancing towards her before facing forward. A determine look on his face.

They had gold to recover, and a man to beat up.
