Waller wiped his eyes then straightened his collar, before attempting to break the door open. That was when Isamu looked at him, advising caution non-verbally. Waller rolled his eyes then pulled out his picklocks. Isamu looked surprised that the wolf even had such a tool. "Look, I was amateurish in my past, had to use this quite a bit. I was also a bit less … reserved back then. Just a fair warning, I was asked to be like that again."

"Then I shall assume that it was for good reason and shall not judge you." Waller nodded in response then proceeded to open the locked door. The lock clicked and then he pushed the door open.

"Open sesame." Waller stated calmly and proudly. "Still got it." As he stood up, both of the canids felt a paw tap their shoulder.

"Nice of you two to drop in, I must admit, I'm touched by that." Spectre appeared seemingly out of thin air.

"You didn't exactly give us a choice, did you?"

"Eh, pedantics."

"Hello, sensei, what are you doing here? How did you get here?"

"That's also not important, but I just wanna make sure I get what I want from here." Spectre answered, without revealing too much. He wanted to make sure no-one knew what his plan was, no-one. "Anyways, lets get messy." He commented before walking into the building before them. The other two followed him and saw that the place was looking like how they expected. Quite antique and old, there was nothing unusual about the place.

"Something feels off, shouldn't there be mammals here?" Waller asked cautiously. Spectre shook his head. "Then why did you ask us to go?"

"If you want to leave, leave, I won't stop you from going." Spectre responded slightly agitated. He was feeling a little on edge recently since he knew his enemy knew who he was. He didn't want to take any unnecessary risks. "You won't find them here, but if I'm right, you'll find them further in." Spectre answered eventually, while the three headed down the corridor. The wooden corridors seemed to go on eternally, until at one point Spectre stopped and the other two stopped behind him in response.

He pulled out Foxtrot and pointed it at a wall. "Here." He walked towards it and then ripped off a panel. He looked through all the wires and decided which wires to mess with.

"How do you know which one to take?"

"Unimportant." Spectre answered, remaining enigmatic, the way he wanted to be. "What is important is that I can." He then pulled out a lighter and a knife, cut two of the wires and melded them together, bypassing the security that the place had. He then looked at the wolf in the room. "Open sesame." When the metal door slid open, a pristine white corridor presented itself, shining from the clear lights that emitted from the grid ceilings. A bit further in, there was a fork where one of the paths diverged from the main corridor.

Waller looked at him. "It was better when I said it." Spectre shrugged then pulled out his Encore. "So, now is there going to be danger?" Spectre smiled. "Fuck." He pulled out his Macatrov and aimed it into the room. Isamu drew both his swords and pointed them towards the doorway he was about to enter from.

"You two go that way, I'll head that way." Spectre commanded, knowing it would be better if they split up. "Waller, you won't have to deal with my beautiful skills this time."

"Thank fuck, that's a relief." Waller responded, before noticing that they were attacked from both sides, the smaller corridor having less mammals to worry about. "I spoke way too soon." He cursed before feeling a bullet whizz past his arm. He turned around and saw that Spectre was already ready to fight.

"I'll take the larger group, have some steam to let off." He charged towards the larger group, firing both his pistols into the groups, always hitting atleast one mammal per shot. It wasn't always a lethal shot but it was enough to stop them from shooting for a bit. Bullets hailed from in front of him, barely missing him each and every time. He wasn't concerned, no, he was comfortable in such a situation. He reached the group, causing him to slide as he didn't want to get shot point blank. He slipped under all the barrels that shifted to his chest, and knocked a couple individuals down. He then moved to the left most side almost instantly, kicking the mammal closest to him into the rest, stopping anyone from firing a bullet. The closest mammal then pulled out a small blade and lunged towards the vulpine hitmammal.

Spectre saw this. "Straight to the point I see." He slipped the blade to the left then grabbed the paw with his right paw, gripping it tightly enough to cause pain. "Let it go, just like your father did with you." The mammal that lunged seemed to have paused from what he heard, he didn't know how to react that very second. Just then, he was about to retaliate by slashing but found the blade has already been ripped out of his paw. Spectre grabbed the knife with his free paw and stabbed it in the attacker's forearm then dragged it towards the chest, cutting the arm in two. The mammal screamed in agony, only to find a sharp sting go through his mouth and through the back of his head, silencing him. "Next." Spectre ordered confidently.

Then a cougar and a wolf got up, as they were the only two uninjured individuals at this point. Spectre looked at the two, who wanted to attack from two different angles. Spectre threw his blade up into the air, grabbing the attention of both mammals, then delivered and powerful kick into the stomach of the cougar, since he was more skinnier and thus was more susceptible to damage. The cougar gripped his stomach and growled. After this, the fox stepped in the direction he kicked, grabbed the knife and slit the throat of the wolf. The wolf started wheezing and coughing, trying to grasp any form of air that he could as blood filled his lungs. Spectre then turned his attention to the cougar, grabbed him by the neck, picked him up then stabbed in the abdomen rapidly. He then charged into the wall, pinning the cougar between him and the wall. From there, he started stabbing higher and higher, stopping at the chest, where he jammed it in far enough that the cougar didn't need to be held anymore. Then he started beating the cougar repeatedly, covering Spectre's entire body with blood, as it exploded out of the cougar's body. The cougar was someehow still alive at this point and still conscious, although barely. "And for the pièce de résistance " Spectre gripped the knife, pulled it out and jammed it through the cougar's shoulder then pulled it away, ripping the arm off the body. He then looked at the cougar bleeding out on the floor. "Beautiful." He walked back to the divergence, where he saw a tiger about to stab Waller in the back. He raised his pistol and shot the tiger through the skull, spraying blood onto the wolf.

3 minutes earlier – Waller and Isamu.

They watched Spectre dart towards the firing squad then they turned to view the group they had to fight. "You go left, I'll go right." Waller stated quickly, offering a decent baseline plan. "Then make shit up as you go along." Isamu nodded with a slight chuckle. Waller fired his pistol a couple times, gaining the attention of the 7 mammals that were there. The seven mammals were two ferrets, a tiger, a fox, two raccoons and a lion. Waller hit a few of his shots but every hit was a non-lethal one, causing the ninja to have to pick up the slack of his companion. He darted seemlessly the distance before him, deflecting any bullet that was fired his way. Once he closed the distance, Isamu rolled to the closest mammal and swung his arm to hit the stomach of the lion. It connected and caused the lion to groan from the strike, hunching over in pain. Isamu then threw an uppercut, knocking the lion out.

Waller was now fighting the two ferrets, but had the issue that they were smaller than him, forcing him to get a bit more scrappy. He swung his leg around, hitting one of the ferrets over but missing the other one. The other one jumped up and tried to hit the wolf in the air, however it was too small and too slow. Waller extended his arm and grabbed the ferret by the neck. As he held the ferret by the neck, he noticed that the ferret tried to pull out his gun and shoot the wolf in the head. He used his other paw to grab the pistol, unload it and jam the barrel of the gun through the ferret's eye. "Guess I gotta do this." He then snapped the neck of the ferret to decommission him from the fight. As he did that, he stomped down, to at least heavily wound the ferret beneath him. He then rolled forward, reloading his own pistol in the process. He ended up next to the fox, where he just grabbed the skull, planted his pistol by the chin and then pulled the trigger, scattering the brains everywhere. "Ew."

Isamu was now stuck with the two raccoons. He countered every punch they sent, since he was lucky enough to knock their guns out of their paws. He didn't want to kill any mammal right now, since he got that new job. Sure he had two swords but that was last resort or for non-lethal use now, he was going to be a more on the right side of the law, ignoring what he was doing now. He then threw a punch, slipping past the raccoons defences and hitting both of them at the same time. This caused them to flinch and create another opening for the tan fox. He used this to grab them both by the head and then knock them both out by colliding their skulls together.

Waller straightened himself and stood upright, before feeling blood hit his back. He turned around and saw that it was Spectre, killing the last mammal left. Waller pointed his pistol at the mammals that fought Isamu and executed them. "Wait, you don't-" Then three bullets rang out.

Waller turned to Spectre. "Is this what you wanted from me?"

"Good enough." Spectre answered, still covered in blood from his previous fight. "You got them killed no? Then it's good enough."

"Speaking of which, what's up with you? Turn a new leaf or something?"

Isamu nodded. "I have a more respectable and honourable job, so I try to still be the same just more non-lethal. So less killing from me, unless I need to." Waller smiled at that and nodded, Spectre sighed when he heard that.

"Lets split up, I'll go that way, you two go that way." Spectre advised while swiping the blood off his suit. "Glad it works like this." was his reaction, once he cleared it all off.

"You are the craziest anomaly in this city." Waller commented.

"Considering who we are fighting, I'd like to disagree."

Waller looked over to where Spectre had a fight. He shook his head and grunted in disgust. He then pulled out his pistol and shot any survivors. "You got sloppy."

"I wanted them to suffer, they had bullet holes in some bad places." Spectre admitted. He enjoyed the suffering he saw, subtly. But Nick never let Spectre admit it, he refused to have that image, even if almost no-one knew that they were the same, it would eventually reach Judy at some point. "They deserved it."

"What the fuck did they do to you?" Waller asked, knowing he would probably not get an answer.

"They are trying to get to me, probably the only way they can. That's all you need to know."

Waller shrugged. "Must be some serious dirt on you then." He then chuckled. "You are a bit on edge, honestly."

"Shut up." Spectre returned, turning to go down the now open corridor. "I'll see you two later, don't take too long."

Waller quickly glanced at Isamu, "I don't think we will." Spectre then left, walking towards the pile of dead bodies.

Waller then fully turned to the tan fox. "Ready to go?" Jiro nodded, going behind the wolf. "You scout ahead, see what there is and then we can adjust our approach accordingly." Once again, Isamu nodded and sprinted off in the direction they were planning on going. As Waller was alone now, he looked at his paws and then wondered. 'What if I actually listened to him? Would I still be doing this? Would I maybe be helping him in some way shape or form? Would I be better or worse?' He then exhaled slowly but heavily and disdained those thoughts with a simple, 'The past is the past, I cannot change it anymore, no point thinking about it.' He then trudged in the direction Isamu ran, hoping that he wouldn't be suddenly attacked. Preparing for the worst, he prepared his pistol and kept it fully loaded and close to his chest. Like this, he started to slowly walk down, keeping an eye out all around him.

Isamu stuck to the walls and observed for all possible paths, knowing they wanted to get to either a control room or a server room. He then saw a lone weasel strolling down the corridor. He quickly hid in whatever shadow he could, the emerged, when he was next to the weasel, grabbing the weasel by the throat. "Where could I find the control room?"

"Go to hell."

"I don't like that answer." He pulled out one claw and scraped the weasels back aggressively, barely cutting the skin. "Wanna answer again?"

"I ain't scared of you." Isamu rolled his eyes, then jammed his finger a little deeper, dreading every second of his actions but knowing that it was necessary to quickly get answers. He then quickly grabbed the weasel's mouth, silencing the scream that was about to ring out. He then let go and gripped the neck with his arm again. "Fine, fine, just please stop. I'll tell you, it's-it's down there, second left then third right. It should be a colder room, that's the control room, it's right above the server room, but the server room is accessed by opening it from the control room. That's what I know I swear."

"Thank you, sleep well." The weasel's eyes shot open. Isamu then crashed it against the wall, knocking him out cold. He then grabbed the body and dragged it away from any place that could give away their presence. After ensuring their safety, he sprinted back stealthily, memorising the path out loud. "Third left, third right." He repeated to himself. Then he encountered Waller, who nearly shot the poor fox right in the skull.

"Holy shit, you fuckin' scared me." Waller blurted out. He then holstered his pistol. "So, what do you know now?" Isamu calmed down from having a gun pointed at his forehead, including rubbing the point of his forehead that felt the barrel. "Right, sorry about that, just you know, enemy place, hard to keep a calm form."

"I understand." He then took a second to state his directions. "Third left then third right."

"Nice, good enough for me." He pulled his pistol out again, after realising that he shouldn't've holstered the gun. He then reloaded it, making sure it was full, "Lead the way." Isamu nodded, then sprinted back the way he came, again. He was starting to get a little tired. "Woah, slow down. I'm not like you, we need to be a little more slower and careful." Isamu sighed with relief, realising he didn't have to run like a headless chicken again. "Lets stick together, got any ranged weapons?"

"No, they would be lethal."

"I have something that you may like." Waller then puled out a genuine taser, trademarked and everything. "Thomas Ape Swift's Electric Rifle. Tuned to be quiet when used, little resistance, heavy shock, lots of energy, and the body is always a resistor to these kinds of things, so they will go night night."

"Doesn't kill?"

"Nope, given to me by my brother and he doesn't really like mammals who kill." Waller then paused for a second. "Including me." Then they started heading towards their destination.

"You are too hard on yourself, he will always love you as a brother, that will never change." Isamu stated, truly believing that was true.

"He's a cop, I'm the second in command of a whole criminal outfit, really think that he'll 'love' me as a brother?" Waller spat out vehemently, fearing a confrontation with his brother.

"Occupation means nothing, he is only scared for you, and I say that, because I would also be scared for you if I were in his position."

"He has every right to be, he's better than me in every way shape and form, except maybe sometimes a fight, but I don't think he wants to fight me, ever. It's always so condescending to me." Waller admitted, feeling a little embarrassed but also annoyed when saying that aloud.

"He wants to protect you, that is all you need to know." Isamu ended the conversation, hoping Waller understood what he was trying to say here.

The two then heard extra footsteps; they instinctively strafed to the walls they were respectively closer to and pointed their weapons towards the source of the noise. There was just a couple of hyenas, on the verge of laughing, even though there was nothing that could cause them to laugh. Maybe they said a good joke and let it kindle? Who knows, they're a bit weird. Waller took the second they had to aim his pistol, and fire to precise shots into their heads, earning two clean kills. "Could always use the extra help, you know?" Isamu just shook his head. "What, it's quicker that way." The two then stepped over the dead bodies. "Lets hope no-one finds them here." Isamu chose to ignore that comment and continued down the path.

He turned at the right moment while Waller nearly missed it and only turned because he noticed Isamu turning."Good thing you're leading." Isamu grunted in agreement, trying to stay as quiet as possible.

Then they reached the control room. "On three, we break this door down, then take out everyone inside, yeah?"

"Yes, that sounds like a good plan. Rudimentary but effective." Isamu concluded.

"Yeah, I'm not known for my plans now ,am I?" Waller asked rhetorically. "Don't answer that." He then pulled his fingers up and counted up silently. As his third finger shot up, Waller kicked the door down and started to shoot, hitting some mammals in the head and others in the chest. "Everyone who is left, sit the fuck down." Isamu wanted to help, but didn't really have any method to do so. The taser traded its non-lethality for convenience, it was quite sluggish in performance and didn't allow for quick and easy use. Isamu instead decided to stay silent and look through the window. There was Spectre, fighting a scarred wolf. Waller also saw this and instantly recognised him. "Archer. What is he doing here?"

"What are you talking about?"

"He's the leader of a mercenary group known as 'The Hunters'. He's the alpha, if you will. I heard about him before and he ain't a pleasant mammal to face, I need to get to him." He pulled out his pistol and emptied the magazine into the glass. It didn't break. He quickly looked around the room, seeing if there was anything he could use. He then saw a fire extinguisher. He grabbed it and slammed it repeatedly against the window, breaking it after a few hits. "Fucking break, you piece of shit."

Both of the fighting canids turned to look at Waller. "Hey, Archie, for old times sake, one more time." Spectre stared questioningly at the wolf that just jumped down to their level. "This is my fight now."

"This day keeps getting better and better. I get to get rid of two pains in my side, and I have my objective right in front of me."

"What do you mean two?"

"Both Wolfords of course, what did you think I mean?" Waller looked at Spectre for a second

aggressively. Spectre's eyes opened wide in shock and realisation.

"You deal with this fuck, I have another place to be." Spectre then sprinted away as fast as his legs could take him.

Archer then laughed. "That rabbit will be his downfall." As he said that, he felt a fist connect with his jaw. "Cheap shot, lucky prick."

"Shut the fuck up and put your fists up." Waller retorted, refusing to listen to this mammal. "We're fighting not chatting."

Archer stood up and raised his fists. "As you wish. Just remember, I beat the shit out of you last time." He then smiled, showing his damaged gums. Archer charged at Waller, preparing to throw a powerful left hook. Waller knew to expect this and leaned to his right, slipping under the punch that was thrown. He then used this split-second to throw his own uppercut, striking the chin of the wolf. As he hit, he felt a strong hit in his stomach. He groaned and looked down, only to see a knee in his belly. "You may think you are winning, but you won't beat me." He smiled angrily. Waller spat on the larger wolf's face then threw a right hook into Archer's ribs. Archer grabbed the smaller wolf by the head, pushing him away slightly, wiped the spit off his muzzle then threw a left cross, sending Waller across the room and onto the ground. "You did well, I won't lie, but all good things must come to an end."

Waller picked himself up a bit then spat some blood out onto the floor. He looked at Archer who was walking towards him slowly. "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings." He yelled out before charging at the wolf and spearing him to the ground. He then threw a single heavy punch from above his head to Archer's head, severely wounding the larger wolf. "What are you doing here?"

"Kill me, I won't speak."

"Oh, I plan to." Waller threw another heavy punch into the wolf his was keeping on the ground. "Now answer me."

"Ok, enough of this shit, I'm done playing." He grabbed Waller by the head and attempted to gouge his eyes out. Waller rolled back, narrowly avoiding the claws puncturing the sclera, then landed on his feet. Archer checked his watch, then saw that a tan fox was messing with the console. He pulled out his pistol, which was a Taurus Judge and aimed it at Isamu's head. "What's another casualty?" Waller saw this and reacted quickly by pulling out his knife and stabbing Archer in the stomach.

"Stay down." Archer didn't move; he seemed to have died. Waller pulled out his knife; stepped away then asked "So, how is it looking? Can you get the doors open? You know, to the server room."

Isamu nodded then pressed one more button. "Sorry, I was learning how to use this on the fly."

"That's fine. I got the stick on me anyways." He then walked into the server room and tried to find a point where all the information could be cracked or atleast copied. The server room was empty, as expected, and Waller found a good point. Connecting the stick, he stood by the entry point and waited for something to happen. The stick started to flash and beep, startling Waller for a second. He left the server room and watched the only entrance available. "Hey, anything happening on your end?"

"Yes, it seems I can't use anything anymore. I don't know what is happening."

"The stick was a bug. We can leave now, I think." Waller returned to the place he plugged the stick in and noticed that it was now not beeping and glowing green, suggesting it was done. He returned to the room where he fought Archer and noticed that he was by the door.

"Hey mate, it was a good fight, but I still have a job to do." He then turned to the top of the room. "Activate shutdown protocol." That was when he left, sprinting towards the exit.

"Umm, run?" Waller asked jokingly, then pushed through the door that Archer ran through. He darted to the end of the corridor as fast as he could. On one paw, he wanted to ensure Archer hasn't escaped, on the other, he wanted to survive, and not be stuck on the inside of whatever the shutdown protocols were. He pushed himself as far as his legs let him. He moved faster than he ever expected to be able to. He kept stepping over dead bodies littering the corridors in fashionable displays by one Spectral Showman. Waller ignored the bodies as much as he could, knowing that they were not a pleasant sight to see.

After a couple turns, he saw the exit and used the remains of his stamina for a final sprint, making it through just before it closed behind him. "You took your time." Isamu joked.

Waller breathed heavily, trying to regain his energy. "You... you... watch... your... mouth..." In between each word was a heavy gasp of air. As he got his breath back, he pulled out his phone and tried to call his brother. It rang, then rang more, then rang some more, then rang even more. Every ring felt like an eternity passed. Waller started to calmly panic, not showing it to the surrounding area. Eventually, the phone rang out. He breathed shakily then called again. Once again, no answer.

He then called the number that called him before he left the hidden fort. "Pick up, pick up." It rang a few times then:

"Not now, we're getting out."

"Who's we?"

"You have some catching up to do." was the only response before the answerer hung up.

"I can only hope they're okay now."

Then Isamu spoke up. "Do you think we did what we came here to do?"

"I hope so, but the shutdown may have prevented it."

A/N: So, wow, this chapter was a bit shorter than I expected but, it is how I wanted it

I feel a question would be, why didn't we see what Nick did? The answer is simple, it wouldn't be fun to see, again, so I decided to skip that part and only see it through Waller's perspective, mostly.

Now, I wanted to say Happy New Year, and I hope you all had a good year since I know I didn't, sure I had little flecks of joy but that's enough of me, focus on yourself.

With that being said, I wish you all a good one and goodbye.
