Judy and Wolford both returned to the police cruiser. "Thank you for telling me."

"I told you, no secrets." Wolford responded, slightly monotonously. "So we now have to go to some place on grounds of suspicious activity and an anonymous tip. Lets investigate it now." Judy nodded and was getting extremely giddy. She couldn't contain her excitement. She even started to lightly bounce in her seat. "You okay? This a bunny thing?"

Judy turned quickly confused and agitated by that statement. "What do you mean by that?"

Wolford blushed after that. "I err... I wasn't that good at biology and well I haven't seen anyone act like that before, you know, to work."

"Oh." She rolled her eyes and scoffed at that. "That. No that's a Judy Hopps thing. Everyone finds it weird so don't think you're special."

"I thought so." Wolford commented under his breath. Judy raised an eyebrow in response. He turned and looked at her innocently. "What?"

"I heard that."

"Heard what?"

"Har-de-har." Judy responded. She was unamused by the events that have unfolded right before her. "So, know what to expect?"

"No, do you?"

"Why would I?"

"Good point." He shook his head. "So, what do you think we will encounter?" He asked quizzically. He wanted to be as prepared as he possibly could be.

"I'll be honest, no idea, but he trusts that we will be fine, so I don't think we should worry too much." Judy answered confidently, trusting the skills she had and the skills the wolf beside her had. "Just, if you need a gun, then it won't be something we can talk out."

"Hmm, I fear as much. How many do you think we will be able to arrest?"

"Very few, most will be probably a bit too aggressive." She then thought about it for a couple more seconds. "Probably they would resist arrest due to peer pressure."

Wolford then groaned. "I don't like where this going."

"Sorry, just an observation."

"I didn't like it because you're probably right." He noticed what road he was on and sharply stopped the car.

"You always this bad of a driver?" Judy asked jokingly.

"No, but I also don't always have such a case." He parked the car gently. "It's time to go, I guess."

Judy was surprisingly giddy about this. "First case. This does count as a case, right?"

"Sure, lets say it does." Wolford responded with a slight chuckle. "You know, you remind me of me, back when I still believed in the ZPD. Now I just do this because, let's be real, I'm needed here." Judy raised her brows. "Everyone else isn't really a cop."

Judy nodded with understanding. "This door?"

"Yeah, this one." Wolford knocked on the door.

A different wolf answered the door. "This ain't a place for you, get lost."

"Sir, we have an anonymous tip that something bad is going on here." Wolford responded, trying to get this over with as quick as he could. The other wolf groaned then let the two in.

When they walked in, it was almost as if he had disappeared. No-one was there. Wolford and Judy felt extremely uncomfortable in this place and constantly felt as if they were being watched from afar. Judy kept her right paw next to her holstered pistol, just in case they are attacked. Wolford didn't share this mindset and instead kept his paws swinging as he walked.

The two meandered and found a heavy door. Judy looked at Wolford. "Know how to open it?"

"Yeah, I do." He crouched down and pulled out a few pieces of metal. "Not my proudest moment, but no-one is here to open it for us."

"Mmm, you're right. How'd you learn it? Was it from your brother?"

"No, he learned it from me." Wolford responded slightly disappointedly. "But we were desperate at the time." He shook his head at the memory. "Fortunately, times change." He smiled, then the lock popped open. "Open sesame." The door shifted open and inside was a few servers and a couple other doors. Every wall apart from the one that they were coming from was covered in glass.

"We need to be careful in there. If we are attacked hen it will be from all angles and well, that's a kill box." Judy pointed out bluntly.

"So, what now?" Wolford questioned, unsure of what they should do right now. "Feels wrong."

"Treat it like an investigation, detective. I'll go in, I'm much smaller and well I'm much faster. It'll be harder to see me than you." Wolford lined up against the wall and watched her back, before pointing into the room. He pulled out his pistol and kept it ready. Wolford slid a dongle over to Judy, and she plugged it in, starting the transfer of files.

As that happened, a small beeping started. "Uh oh, that's not good." She sprinted back to the door, only to see that they were surrounded by a group of wolves. "They friends of yours?"

"I wouldn't keep friends like that."

That was when one of the wolves spoke up. "You two will come with us." He walked up to Wolford. "And don't worry, we treat you well." Wolford refused to react; he stood stoically and didn't flinch. The wolf punched Wolford in the stomach, causing the police officer to drop to the ground, breathing heavily in pain. "Piece of shit."

"Good to see you too, Zeta." Wolford finally responded. "How's life treating ya'? Hope it's terrible."

"Shut up, if you know what's good for you."

Judy was now watching all the wolves around to see if she had an opening to attack. "Or else what?" Wolford responded, picking himself back up.

Zeta punched Wolford in the jaw. "Or else I'll fursonally end your bloodline. Yeah, your brother ain't gonna survive. He was always a whiny bitch, wasn't he?" He laughed with a cruel smile.

"What's a PMC want from here anyway? You have no business here."

"Times change, the boss found an employer here and so we are here for the time being." He then rubbed Wolford's head. "But you don't need to worry about that part too much." He then turned to the rabbit. "And who are you? A token bunny?" He laughed harder when he said that. Every wolf in the back joined in. This second of unawareness was more than enough for Judy. She drew her pistol and fired it into the crowd, dropping many of them. She then leapt feet-first onto Zeta, dropping him to the ground as well. After that, she sprinted behind the door, hoping it was safer there than here.

She slid past the door and stood behind the wall. Judy kicked the door open and sprayed another stream of bullets, forcing anyone who remained to try and find cover. Many weren't fortunate enough but plenty survived the two magazine dumps. She used this moment to check up on Wolford, who was currently missing. She scanned the area and noticed he was taken by Zeta somewhere else. She turned back behind the wall and noticed that many were now lining up behind the glass.

She looked around the room and couldn't find any way to escape. In a desperate attempt to hide, she climbed up the servers and laid flat on the top of them. "Find that rabbit, boss's orders."

There was a bunch of "Yes sir."s, stressing the bunny out a little bit. She slowed her breathing and tried to navigate her way out.

After slowly crawling past a few mammals, she ended up next to a door. She'd only have one chance to do this. She waited for a few seconds, watching all that could spot her. As she saw that they all turned away, she dropped down and rolled to safety. She turned left and checked behind her shoulder. She noticed that a wolf was turning around that second and slid away in a panic. "This is not what I was expecting when I woke up and got out of bed today. Now two different mammals want me dead." She sighed as she finally got into a place that she could hide in. "Better hunted than dead." She looked down at her left arm. "That doesn't help at all." She commented, slightly insulted that her arm is still broken. She heard multiple footsteps outside her room and clung to the wall more than she already did.

"Why are we looking for a rabbit, it's not like she can do anything too serious." One wolf grumbled.

The other responded with an exhausted tone. "I agree, except she killed half of the ambush while that dumb cop was on the ground. We have the cop but we gotta make her suffer as well. She disrespected us too much."

"I guess ya right."

Judy took a deep breath then jumped out of the small side room and jumped up the wall to give her a little height. From here, she directed herself towards one of the wolves then pointed her suppressed glock at the other one. The wolf dropped his rifle and surrendered. "Fuck." was all he muttered. She jumped up and gave a double foot kick to the bottom of his jaw, knocking him out as well. That was when she slowly dragged the bodies into the room she was hidden in. She cursed her current position and groaned at her circumstance. Once they were in the room, she took one of their radios and earpieces and fitted it for herself, although it wasn't easy. They were definitely oversized and barely hung on.

"Anyone find that damned carrot-muncher?" was what she heard on the radio, followed by a bunch of nos in different ways. "We aren't leavin' until we find 'er, boss's orders and of course, no witnesses. Hunt the bunny down, hunters. Cop will be in panic room 2. Out." Judy groaned at that, everyone was currently after her.

She thought for a couple seconds before deciding that she should have a little fun, just like her mentor would normally. "I thought you all were supposed to be hunters? I'm literally a bunny, the prey that almost every mid-sized predator hunted. How are you all struggling?" She asked with a sort of smugness that was crystal clear. "Now what?"

That was when Zeta spoke up. "You little shit, keep talking, we will eventually find you and skin you alive. You would look great on display on my wall."

"Looking forward to it. By the way, where could I meet you, you know, to be quicker and get this over with?"

"Confident little wabbit, let's see how far that gets you." Zeta commented, going quiet afterwards.

Judy now decided to try and navigate through this building. She checked her phone and noticed that the download was still going. "They didn't find it yet? They aren't the brightest, are they?"

After a few minutes, she headed down another empty corridor, but this time she heard screaming coming from one of the rooms. She recognised that mammal, after all she spoke to him for the last couple hours. It went quiet again. She headed towards where she heard the screams, then they re-emerged, giving her a clearer idea where the officer was held. She found the corresponding door, where it had scribbled down "Panic Room 2". The door was quite heavy, but not what one would expect for a 'panic room'. Maybe a regular front door, but not a panic room. She looked at the wall behind her, jumped up onto it then violently pushed off the wall, crashing through the door that was present before her. As she broke through, she rolled a bit further, providing her a little more time to react. She quickly glanced at the wolves in the room, and fired a burst into every non-friendly.

Wolford sat tied down, bleeding heavily from many parts of his body. His chest seemed to have burn marks, most likely from the jump cables that were laying on the ground. He raised his head as much as he could, while breathing heavily. Breathlessly, he spoke up. "Hey, good to see ya, don't know how much longer I would've lasted."

Judy grabbed a knife from one of the corpses and cut the rope that restrained Mike's paws. "Don't thank me yet, we need to get out first."

"Question, how do you know how to do these things so well? Also, you just killed how many mammals?"

"It's me or them. I'd rather not die myself, not yet atleast. Two, I told you, I was saved by the Spectral Showman." Wolford shook his head.

"See normally my partner doesn't act like a damn tank, especially while being half my size."

"I haven't been hit yet." Wolford rolled his eyes at that comment. After cutting the rope, she pawed over the knife. "It's more your size, you know, half your size."

Wolford looked at her, before grabbing the knife. "Are you sure that arm is broken?"

"Yes, I'd be twice as good if it wasn't." Wolford sighed at that, disappointed that he wasn't that capable.

"And I'm the one with police training." He retorted, envious of her talents. He stood up then quickly collapsed as his left leg was too weak to carry him, due to the massive stab that was present.. Judy picked up the pump action shotgun that laid nearby, emptied it as quickly as she could then placed the stock under his paw as he was standing up again. "How am I meant to fight if I can't stand?"

"You can use the empty gun to stand? I mean I gave you the stock not the handle."

"Good point." Wolford felt slightly stupid right now.

Judy fished the pockets of the wolves she recently killed and found a lighter. She then looked at the wound on Wolford's leg. "We may need to treat that." Wolford wasn't paying attention to the rabbit at this very moment.

"How would we do that? I assume they don't keep hydrogen peroxide around her for no reason."

Judy flinched as she knew what to do. "No buuuut, we can cauterise the wound."

"Huh?" Wolford responded, panicking slightly. "No, I've had enough pain."

"You're losing too much blood." Judy responded, trying to keep the damned wolf alive.

"Fine, go ahead." He sat down next to the wall, and picked up a pistol that laid near him.

Judy taken the knife and tried heating it up as quickly as she could. It slowly turned red. As it started glowing red and yellowish, Judy turned to Wolford. "This is gonna hurt like hell."

"Thanks for the reAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH." There was a slight sizzling sound as Judy applied the blade to the wound. "Holy mackerel, that was really bad."

"I don't think we'll be going anywhere this very moment." Judy assessed the situation. She tried moving one of the bodies and placing it on the chair. She struggled with moving the body; she felt compressed while the limp body was on top of her back and head. "Just an extra couple seconds." She then sat behind the body.

It was moments like this she was happy her weapons were suppressed. She looked at the tube that was screwed on the barrel and smiled. The two waited inside, to let Michael heal and to have the advantage of the element of surprise. She slowed down her breathing, quietening down so much, she swore she heard her ears twitching. After a couple of seconds, she heard footsteps and mentally prepared herself to jump up and shoot the unaware target that was about to enter.

The wolf saw the door open and readied his weapon, knowing it should be closed. He swung into the room and pointed his gun at the wolf in the chair, before seeing a rabbit appear in the air, aim a gun at him and shoot, dropping him to the ground. "We won't be able to stay here long." Wolford commented. "They'll know." Judy nodded. Wolford grunted as he tried to pick himself up. Once he stood up with the help of Judy and the shotgun he was given, he started heaving heavily then moved towards the door.

"Maybe it would be a better idea if I was the one that scouted ahead first? Don't know if you could handle a gunfight."

"I can handle myself."

"Not with that leg you can't."

"Try me."

"I don't want to be mean or patronising but, you're currently crippled. Please, lets both get out." Wolford groaned at that, feeling slightly disheartened by that plea. He rolled his eyes, leaned against the wall then pointed towards the door. "Stay safe."

"You too, ya little fuzzball." Wolford groaned out, upset he couldn't do much in this situation. He pulled out a pistol and kept it readied. "I hate to admit it but I don't think I'll be able to do much without you."

Judy made sure to stay quiet and tiptoed around every corner, making sure they were empty. She listened out carefully, making sure no-one would sneak up on her any time soon. She heard a little ruffling around the corner then a slight thud. She quickly swung round, pointing her pistol in the direction of her target. There he was, the russet fur and overconfident smirk gave it all away. He looked up, pointing his pistol as well out of pure instinct and reaction. "Hey sweetheart, how was the last week or so?"

"What are you doing here?"

"I could ask the same to you, the download is done, you can leave."

"Not without Officer Wolford."

"Where is he?"

"Back the way I came, injured, can barely stand."

"'Course, would hate for this to be too easy all of a sudden, right?" Spectre laughed. "How bad are his wounds?"

"You sent us on a suicide mission, how bad do you think they are?"

"No I didn't, it was a set-up, they expected this. It's still my fault though." He looked upset and guilty about that fact. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have sent you two to go." He stood back up and dusted off his suit. "Lets go get that wolf." As he said that, a loud bang rippled through the building, notifying everyone that a bullet was fired. "Now we really have to go. Who knows, maybe a wolf might track him down." Spectre quipped quickly.

"Something tells me they already did." Spectre yielded to the argument. "Come on, we have no time to lose." She ran ahead as the two heard more bullets ring out.

"It would be a damn shame if I lost this Wolford right now." He said while examining the walls around him. "Time to make a new door." He quickly drew his deagle, fired into the wall and barged through it. Falling through the wall, he glanced at the wolves in the room, including Michael. "Hey guys, sorry wrong room. But howl I get out of this one." He winked before shooting two of the wolves simultaneously, right between the eyes. One of them was holding Wolford by the neck, but released as the bullet hit him. They both dropped to the ground. Wolford started wheezing as his neck was now released.

The event that has just unfolded has completely confused everyone that was present, except for the crazy fox. He just laughed after firing both his pistols and charged towards the other two wolves, pointing his guns at them both. They tried to flee but were surrounded by the rabbit that ran around, considering she didn't have the body weight to push through a wall. "Give me a good enough reason to not shoot you through your skulls."

"Heh, please don't kill us?"

"It was just a prank bro?"

"Really?! Damn, what a coincidence, so is this." Spectre responded rapidly.

"It is?"

"Yeah." Judy watched on in confusion. She was trying to figure out what Nick was doing right now. That was when her expression flattened as she realised that he was just messing at their expense. Spectre then killed both of them 'mercifully' with a bullet to the head.

Wolford walked over. He averted his eyes away from the fresh corpses. "Was any of that necessary?"

"It worked and it had the added bonus of being fun."

"How did you know that Officer Wolford was there?"

"I have ears? I thought you knew as well." Nick reasoned, pointing at the massive ears that stuck out of Judy's head. She just rolled her eyes in response. He then turned to the police officer. "What happened to you? Shock me."

Wolford was about to speak but then he heard the added comment. That caused a little anger to rise, and the wolf to growl. He then relented, given his current condition. "They played around with my body and whatever tools they found nearby. Including but not limited to, a knife, a bucket of ice cold water and a car battery."

"Could've been worse." Spectre laughed. "Let's get out." He took point and headed towards where he knew one of the exits was. After a couple steps, he turned around and helped Wolford move. "Mike, did I tell you that you need to lose some weight?"

"Its mostly muscle and bone."

"Mostly."

"Atleast when I say it, it isn't because the rest is bullet residue."

"Nonsense-" Spectre spoke while groaning, struggling to keep the wolf balanced and moving at a decent pace. "I remove every bullet that stays inside, so far 5... more than I wish to admit." As they walked past one of the wolves, Nick grabbed one of the rifles by its strap using his foot and flung it up to his paws, where he then swung it to his shoulder. "Judy, be a dear and scout out ahead. Remember, you will decide where and how we go, don't fuck it up."

"I'll try not to." She loaded her glock. "But I was out of it for a month or so."

"I thought your arm was broken, I'm the one with a broken mind." Nick quipped with a wide smile. "GO, we wanna get out before it's too late."

Judy nodded and ran ahead. Her head was constantly on a swivel. Wherever she went, there were wolves present looking for her. There were also many converging on Wolford's cell. She had no idea how to get through this easily. She ran back. "There's no good path, we'd have to fight our way through, even then, they're coming to us."

"Shit." was all Spectre said. "I'd drop the dead-weight but it's not that dead."

"Hey. I'm still here." He looked around, slightly in annoyance, but also slightly due to his distress. "There's an empty room there. We can hide there for the time being."

"Good call. You hide, we'll cut through them for you." All three rushed to the small storage room. Inside, Judy pawed over the eight shells she ejected before.

"If you need to use it, use it." Wolford looked at the little rabbit, and with slight hesitation nodded. He pushed all the shotgun shells in and pulled back the pump. "Just don't shoot our heads off."

"If I shoot his, I'd lie if it was an accident."

"Aww, I like you too." Spectre said, smiling widely.

Spectre and Judy left the wolf alone, again. They couldn't just take him with them, even if it would've been easier in the long run."Any idea what we're getting ourselves into?"

"Have you ever tried getting out of your own tomb?"

"Fair enough."

"Expect heavy opposition by the exit."

"Of course." She paused for a couple seconds. "Why did you wanna leave me out of it?"

"I didn't, I just didn't want you involved with them." They took caution at every turn. "I'd be lying if I said you can't do anything, you wanna be a cop after all." After a couple more seconds of awkward silence, they found the exit. "Now we gotta go back and help cripple back there."

They turned around and sprinted as fast as they could. Nick slightly edged out Judy in terms of speed but it wasn't by much. As they reached the door, Nick stopped Judy. "Hey, it's us, don't shoot."

"Safety's off now."

"Good to hear." Spectre turned into the room, staring down the barrel of the shotgun. "Always ready to fight." That was when they heard some footsteps behind them.

"We gotta get going." Judy quietly announced, trying to stop whatever fight was about to occur. "We need to leave now." She looked around outside. "Come on." Nick pulled the injured wolf up and gave him an extra method of trying to keep himself up.

Judy slid to the other side of the corridor. She checked both ways and made sure no-one was there before signing to bring over the other two mammals. The two struggled to move but made their way surprisingly quickly, all things considered. Wolford used the fox and the shotgun as crutches; he still didn't enjoy the idea of having a loaded gun, let alone two on him now. Judy suddenly stopped, signalling for the other two to stop as well. She surveyed the area ahead, noticing a few wolves patrolling the exit. By a few, it was more a large crowd but that wasn't the important detail right now. "I'd say 10, 15 maybe 20 down there. Not an easy fight, but shouldn't be too difficult."

"That's... good to hear." Spectre responded, struggling to carry the weak wolf. He looked over the balcony after putting the cop down. "We need to get there." He pointed towards a small fortified area. "We'll be attacked from both sides, considering there's plenty of 'hunters' deeper inside the building."

"So, you're saying we're fucked?" Wolford asked without looking over the railing.

"Don't be so pessimistic, mes ami, we still have the advantage and the element of surprise on top of that." Wolford laughed quietly at that. "You'll go in from here, I'll be downstairs with Wolfy, then we'll push from both sides and reach that point. That's when we start tearing them to pieces. Got that?" Judy nodded, Wolford just shrugged.

That was the moment that Nick picked the wolf up and tried to carry him downstairs. Judy waited, watching the mammals patrol that area, seemingly randomly. She was scared but she tried to hide it as best as she could. She didn't want to disappoint. She aimed her pistol at one of the wolves head and waited patiently.

After a couple minutes of waiting, a few of the wolves fell to the ground. She used this moment to shoot a few of them, killing some of the threats. She noticed that a couple of them were directly below her. With this new information, and the sight of that crazy fox firing wildly, she jumped down and landed on one of the two enemies below her, killing the other one to ensure her own safety. "Out of frying pan..." She commented to herself. She lowered her head to shrink her body and noticed that the guy she landed on was still alive. She pointed her gun down and fired two bullets, spraying blood onto her face. "Ew." She commented, wiping the blood of her muzzle. She then found Spectre and Wolford running as best as they can to the fortified spot, bullets flying past the two of them.

Spectre rapidly and accurately fired Foxtrot, dropping wolves around him. Near the fortification, his luck ran out and he got hit in the stomach. "Fuck." The two fell over, Spectre collapsing on the spot and Wolford tripping and sliding behind cover. Judy saw this and tried to provide some form of covering fire to help Nick hide. She sprayed into the groups then saw that there were more coming from the way Nick came. Spectre grabbed the shotgun from Wolford and fired it into the interior entrance to the room, pushing the wolves back. Judy jumped over the small arching barrier and hid behind it. "Hey fluff, good to see you again, thanks for dropping by." He dropped down to the ground to avoid being hit again. All of them looked at his stomach, the two other mammals had concerned looks (Wolford mostly for his own safety); Spectre laughed at the sight of it. "It's good to feel this again, reminds me that even I can improve. It also reminds me what they feel when I do my job." As he finished that sentence, his phone rang. Bullets still flew by their heads. He fished his phone out of his pocket and looked at the caller ID. "It's Wallace."

"Why would he be calling you?"

"Good question. We'll have it answered later however." He answers the phone. "Not now, we're getting out."

"Who's we?"

"You have some catching up to do." Spectre responded, proud of what was about to happen. He returned his phone to his pocket and then stood up, pulling both of his pistols out. He fired hastily, never missing a shot and taking as many of them down as he could. He then sat back down. "Not my first hole in the stomach, luckily missed anything important."

"How can you tell?"

"I'm still fighting." Nick responded nonchalantly, giving a tired smile with half-lidded eyes. "Now lets get out of here." Judy nodded at that and stood up with Spectre. Both fired into the forces that were pushing towards them. At that, Judy then started to carve a hole in the enemy group to the door.

Any attempt to do that was quickly quelled by another one replacing the dead comrade. "How many of them are there?"

"Too many. Next you do it, make a run for it, I'll draw their fire."

"Sounds crazy."

"You know you love it."

"I guess I do." She smiled, showing that she gave in to the mad fox's ideals. "Wolford, you run too, you'll be too quickly overrun if you stay here."

"What are you planning?"

"You don't wanna know." He pulled out a flashbang and chucked it behind him. "Go." Then the blinding flash went off. Judy and Wolford darted to the door, praying they would be fine. Spectre just stood up and counted quickly how many remained. He smiled, then fired as many bullets as he could in the little time he stood up for, taking down a vast majority of wolves in the process. "Come on, take me down, lets see you try!" He yelled out at the top of his lungs, trying to get everyone's attention.

Judy and Wolford barrelled to the outside world. "We made it." Wolford stated out of breath. He let that sink in for a bit. "We made it." He declared a little more joyously. He started to smile widely, disdaining the injuries he had on his body. He then pulled out his phone. His fingers quickly dialled a number and he hoped for an answer. As he did that, all the gunfire went quiet behind them. Both realised and hung their head slightly, fearing the worst case scenario. The phone was answered.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"Hey, lil' bro, it's me."

"What would an officer want from me?"

"Listen, it's the hunters."

"I know, I was gonna call you first honestly. Archer wants your head."

"Zeta wants yours."

"Shit, that' not good."

"Oh and Spectre might be dea-" It was slightly upset but there was an elated tone to his voice.

"Don't you dare say it." Judy overruled, trying to pretend that she thought he was alive. "Don't." She had tears in her eyes now.

Wolford looked at her for a couple seconds before realising something, she cared for him. "We need to prepare for the worst, they have business here."

Spectre opened the door, dripping in blood. "You can't kill me." He smiled, letting the blood drip slowly. "You can't kill me."

A/N: And that is that, I honestly thought this chapter would be shorter than it was, lol.

This chapter was weird for me but I'm no stranger to adversity. Speaking of which, I'll try to write more chapters but I have a lot of things now in my schedule so no promises of consistency.

With all that being said, I wish you all a good one and thanks for reading.
