"Then it seems we must rely on you:past Mikey," stated Endymion.
"Your majesty, he doesn't even remember," reminded Luna.
"M-Majesty," yelped Mikey, "and remember what, exactly?"
Minako shook her head, "Nothing, don't worry."
"Again, he doesn't remember," sighed Luna.
"Like you said earlier, Luna, we have no time," added Mamoru, he walked up to Mikey, "please, we need help. We need…I need you to trust me."
Mikey looked up at the delta, "Wha-what do you want me to do?"
Luna walked up to him, holding a golden/orange pen in her mouth, "Use this. Use this and yell: Sun Prism Power, Makeup."
"Seriously? A pen," he asked as he put his hands on his hips.
"Yes, seriously," replied Luna.
"Trust me, this isn't a joke," added Mamoru, he pointed to the pen and nodded.
"Okay, I mean, if it'll save the world," Mikey mumbled as he studied the pen, "Sun Prism Power, Makeup!"
Everyone looked away as a bright white light nearly blinded everyone. When they all looked back, Mikey looked more like Mitsuki, more like Sun Knight.
"Uwā," muttered Minako in awe.
Mikey twirled around, muttering to himself as he stopped to play with his necklace, the one that had the Legendary Golden Crystal, "Dang, baby, this is so cool and pretty," he exclaimed.
"Pretty indeed! You look SO cool," exclaimed Minako as she walked around Mikey, looking at his outfit.
"Thank you, uh…" trailed off Mikey.
"Oh, my name is Sailor Venus," stated Minako, bowing as she introduced herself.
"Wait- as in Sailor V?! Ohmigosh! How cool," he exclaimed as Venus grinned.
Venus straightened her poster, "Yep! And don't even bother with your name, we already know who you are, Michelangelo."
Mikey blinked multiple times before sheepishly smiling, "Good to know, I guess…" he started fidgeting with his necklace, again.
"That Crystal, it's it…it worked," sighed both Endymion and Luna, both grateful looking.
"Well, kinda," added Mamoru, "Mitsuki-ō ga ireba yokattanoni…"
Endymion nodded, "Meiōsei wa itotekini shippaishita ni chigainai to omoimasu. Kanojo wa kawari ni maikī o koko ni tsurete ikitakatta ni chigai arimasen."
"We shouldn't dwell upon this," sighed Luna.
"Dwell on what, exactly? I'm still confused…" Mikey reminded, "Is there something mystical going on?"
"Yes, and no," stated Luna.
Venus grabbed both of Mikey's hands, "I know this must all seem…strange, but-"
"Trust me," started Mikey, "I know strange. I can handle strange."
"Well, things are about to get stranger…Sun Knight," Venus said slowly, testing the name.
Before Mikey could comment on the nickname, Artemis interrupted him, "Luna, where were you hiding that pen," he asked.
Luna turned red slightly, "That doesn't matter…it's a precaution to keep a pen on me, anyways, we have Senshi and a world to save!"
"What's a Senshi," asked Mikey, turning away from Venus.
"It seems we have a lot of explaining to do, huh?"
"It would seem so," nodded Endymion, "I am King Endymion."
Mikey reached out to shake his hand, "Nice to meet you, but I have a question, your majesty."
"And what is that question?"
"How come you're see-through? Or is that offensive to ask-"
Endymion chuckled as he let go of his hand, he forgot how curious and unfiltered Mikey was as a youngster, "It is not, so don't worry. I am not actually in a physical form but a spiritual entity. Currently, I am guarding the Crystal Palace while my real body…sleeps."
"Oohh, how interesting," exclaimed Mikey, "I kinda understand because one of my human friends, April, was given spiritual power from my Gram-Gram."
"Ah, April O'Neil," sighed Endymion, "she is a mighty warrior."
Mikey nodded eagerly, "She really is," he turned, "you two look alike. Are you somehow related, perhaps?"
Endymion and Mamoru both look startled before Mamoru walks closer to Mikey, "I am his past self: call me Mamoru. I am also known as Tuxedo Mask."
"Past self? How does that wo…wait, your Tuxedo Mask?! Ohmigosh slay! That's so f-ing cool! I can't believe I didn't realize sooner, because of your outfit…wait, does that mean all of the other Sailor Warriors are here?!"
Everyone became silent, it was Artemis who started talking, "No. And that's why we need your help to rescue our friends and the world, from a threat called the Black Moon. We need you to become a Sailor Warrior."
"M-Me? Of course I will help," exclaimed Mikey, "I mean, I already look the part," he shrugged as he motioned to his outfit.
Minako chuckled, "Yeah, you look so good!"
"Thanks!"
"You're welcome! You deserve to be complimented!"
"Aw, you're making me blush! You're so sweet."
"Haha, now you're making ME blush!"
"And about that name, it's really creative! Are you into art, because you have a really creative mind?"
"You know, actually-"
"Ahem, we should all continue to introduce ourselves, MY name is Luna, I am the cat advisor of Sailor Moon plus the other Sailors. And a Sailor Warrior is called a Shenshi, by the way."
Mikey turned to face the cat's direction, "Good to know, Luna!"
"Hi, my name is Diana," she greeted Mikey, causing him to gasp.
"Heavens to Betsy you're so adorable," cooed Mikey as he bent down next to her, petting her, making her produce purring noises, "Aw!"
"Ahem, and I'm Artemis, also a cat advisor."
Mikey's eyes went wide, "Artemis…" he mumbled. 'Wasn't that the cat Marie was talking about,' he thought to himself.
"Like you give any valid advice," mumbled Minako as Artemis glared at her, "What? I'm just stating facts!"
Mikey looked up and chuckled, "You're really funny, Sailor Venus!"
"I like to say it's a part of my charm," said Minako as she sparkled, twirling around, Mikey started to clap.
"King Endymion, is there anything else you know about the Black Moon," asked Luna, ignoring the two, "you said the group had a history of causing trouble. So, how did it all start?"
"Black Moon," repeated Mikey, mid-clap, "what exactly is that?"
"Well, they are an evil organization originating from planet Nemesis, the 10th planet of the solar system, in the 30th Century, where you are now."
Mikey gasped, "HUH?! I'm in the future?!"
Mamoru chuckled and nodded, "Using the tremendously strong, evil powers of the Dark Crystal, they attacked Crystal Tokyo, pursuing the mighty Silver Crystal, from what I know, to later look for the Golden Crystal. But they came short…anyways, the clan turned all of my people into statues, and forced them into a comatose state of suspended animation."
"Oh my, that's horrible," gasped Mikey as he held Diana, he was sitting criss-crossed on the floor.
"You'd be surprised to know that that's not the worst thing that's happened," groaned Minako.
"R…really," he turned to face Endymion, "like actually?"
Endymion simply nodded once more, "And to answer your question, Luna, there was an incident several centuries ago: when Crystal Tokyo had become the most beautiful place on Earth, a city of peace and tranquility. Then, a mad tyrant appeared, bent on inciting havoc and destruction. His name was Phantom.
Up to that point, Neo-Queen Serenity, along with King Mitsuki, had watched over Crystal Tokyo quietly. But when the city was threatened, they intervened and fought to protect the city.
Neo-Queen Serenity captured Phantom, and King Zemon banished him to Nemesis. All access to the planet was immediately cut off. Time passed, and harmony returned. People forgot what had happened, and all was quiet.
Until a new group of radicals showed up out of nowhere, demanding death to all the people of the Moon Kingdom and the Sun Citadel. Like Phantom, they had dark crescent marks on their foreheads."
"Citadel…" muttered Mikey, tilting his head.
"So, I'm assuming, these radicals are the Black Moon," concluded Artemis, "is that right?"
Endymion nodded his head, "That is correct, Artemis."
"Just a tiny thought here, do you think that maybe they're descendants of this Phantom dude," asked Mikey.
"I have no idea," sighed Endymion, "But, whether they are or not is immaterial. I refuse to let them cause any more harm."
"We understand, King," sighed Luna.
"Totally! What Black Moon did was wrong on so many levels," added Mikey.
"I agree. No one should go through that pain," stated Minako.
"Yeah…" Mamoru looked down at Usagi's broken wand, "Chikau yo, kanarazu anata o sukuukara, matte ite ne, Usagi-san," he muttered.
"Huh? What's that," asked Mikey, standing behind Mamoru. He leaned over his shoulder, Mamoru would've found it strange, but he was used to Mitsuki being close with everyone, he smiled at the memory.
"This is Sailor Moon's magical specter."
"Sailor Moon? Isn't she like the main Sailor?"
"In a way, yeah, she is."
"Hm…are you two dating?"
Mamoru blushed, "In fact, we are."
"Aw, she must be lucky to have you! You seem like a good guy," he said as he patted Mamoru's back, "and don't worry, we'll find your friends. I'll do anything I can do to help!"
"Thank you, Michelangelo…" muttered Mamoru, he turned to hug Mikey, causing him to tilt his head in confusion.
Mikey smiled into his chest, "No problem."
After a few seconds of silence, Mamoru sighed, "I can't help but worry."
"About what? Sailor Moon?"
He nodded, "I should've fought harder to protect her."
Mikey shook his head, "I'm sure none of this is or was your fault, Mamo."
Mamoru smiled slightly at the nickname, "I know, but I can't help but feel like it was. I should've paid more attention. I should've fought harder, but I didn't. I'm pathetic for losing her."
"I understand. I've lost people too…and it hurts. But, I know that I will never lose my loved ones, truly. Family doesn't disappear from our lives. Not unless you make them.
Plus, Sailor Moon isn't dead. From what I know she's been kidnapped. So, you shouldn't worry or blame yourself when you are merely in different places.
It's possible that you might have zero control over what happens to her, but you can control how you respond. If you choose the right attitude, you could rise above whatever challenges you face.
I promise you, we will save Sailor Moon, and all of your friends, together."
"I…again, thank you Mikey. You always knew what to say…"
"No problem, Mamo! I'm just happy to do whatever I can to help."
"Ahem, sorry to interrupt, but Mamoru-san, kare ni tsutaeta hō ga ī to omoimasu ka? Taiyō no jōsai ni tsuite kare ni hanashite kudasai," asked Luna.
"Taiyō no jōsai," repeated Mikey as Mamoru let go, "isn't that what King Endymion said earlier? How can there be life on the Sun? My brother, Donnie, said it's physically impossible, with the raging heat 'n all."
Mamoru ignored him as he bent down to Luna's level, "Tabun, but I don't know if the right time is now."
Luna nodded, "Nevermind then. Tatakai no ato, subete ga akiraka ni naru."
"Is there more f-ing lore?! Ohmigosh, this backstory has so much drama," yelped Mikey as Mamoru facepalmed.
"You never change," he muttered.
"Hm? What did ya say?"
"N-Nothing! Uh, so, how's life as a yokai?"
"I know what you're doing. You're changing the subject. You keep talking like you knew me before, you know something, don't you," accused Mikey as Mamoru sweat-dropped.
"No, I'm not changing the subject. I'm just curious," he replied, as Minako walked over.
"Whatcha two talking about," she asked.
"I was just asking about Michelangelo's adventures as a turtle yokai," Mamoru quickly stated as Mikey pouted.
"Oohh! I'm curious too," she turned to Mikey, "Story time?"
Mikey rolled his eyes, "Ugh, fine, just stop looking at me like that," he sighed, "So, it all started with this bad guy, who's now good, Baron Draxum-"
