Chapter 10: Entrance Exam!!

We opened at UA as Izuku was in his Aldrea uniform, clutching the straps of his backpack.

"M-Made it just in time," Izuku said in between breaths as he took a moment to look at the massive gates of UA in awe.

"Oh, there you are Dekiru!"

He heard the familiar voice of Uraraka, who walked up to him smiling. The girl herself had a smile seeing the boy.

"Ain't this nerve-wracking!"

"Yeah, but we have to do our best!"

"Stupid Deku." Izuku heard a voice behind him. He turned to see Bakugou glaring at him with hate in his eyes, Uraraka turned to see a blonde boy.

"Kacchan..." Izuku said

"Get out of my way, or I'll set you on fire," Bakugou growled as Izuku jumped a little and flipped his arms around.

"L-Lets do our best!" The girl was a little concerned by how her friend acted around him. It didn't feel friendly. As he sighed in relief.

"Hey, you two don't go in without me!" He heard the voices of Pony and Kendo, who were running up to them with a smile.

"Alright! Let's go!"

Midoriya nodded before smiling

The written portion of the exam was difficult but Izuku got it done with some minutes to spare thanks to his intelligence and the studying he did with Uraraka and judging by the smile she, Pony and Kendo shared the exams went well for them.

"They must have done somewhat well they don't look distraught from the written portion." He thought to himself.

Izuku and the rest of the examinees were in an auditorium Izuku sat down, unfortunately for him, he sat right next to his former childhood friend turned bully as the lights turned on, and Present Mic was in front of them on a stage.

"What's up, U.A. candidates, thanks for tuning in to me. Your school D.J.! Come on, let me hear ya!" Present Mic shouts while the rest was in complete silence, but Izuku was jumping in place a bit.

"Keeping it mellow, huh? That's fine, I'll skip to the main show." Present Mic said, pretending nothing happened continued.

Okay! Now, as your application said, today you are rocking boys and girls with me in a ten-minute mock battle in a simulated suburban city. After I drop the mic here, you'll be escorted to your specified battle centres! Everything good?" Present Mic said as Izuku and Bakugou looked at their Examine I.D cards and saw that Izuku was going to be in Battle Center B while Bakugou was going to be at Battle Center A.

"I see. So they are spiting us up so we can't work together with friends." Bakugou said, figuring out the purpose for the different locations. Izuku looked at Bakugou's Exam I.D. which Bakugou noticed

"Get your eyes off my card!" Bakugou growled as Izuku flinched back.

"Damn. I was looking forward to crushing you." Bakugou said, now realizing that he couldn't crush Izuku during their mock battles due to the different locations while Izuku looked at him nervously

"Okay, okay. Check out your targets. There are three types of mock villains in every battle centre. You'll earn points based on their level of difficulty. So you better choose wisely. Your goal is to raise your points by shredding these foes like in a mid-song guitar solo. But check it, and make sure you keep things heroic. Attack other students is a U.A., no no, ya dig?" Present Mic said

"Excuse me, sir, but I have a question." one student said as he stood up and with his hand up.

"Hit me." Present Mic pointed to the student when a stoplight lit over him. This student was relatively tall and muscular with a wide frame. He had short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the left of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square eyes that matched the notably pointed shape of his jaw. He had a serious expression and glasses on, while his uniform was something that looked like private school, and he wore glasses.

"On the printout. You listed four types of villains, not three. With all due respect, if this is an error on U.A. material. It is shameful! We are students who expect the best from Japan's best school, a mistake like this won't do. And you, with the unkempt hair!!" This student pointed to Izuku, who looked a bit surprised by being called out.

"You've been muttering and looking down this whole time. It's distracting. If you can't take this seriously, then I suggest that you leave." The student said as Izuku covered his mouth and tried to make himself feel small, as a few people chuckled at his expense until...

"Was that necessary?"

"Excuse me," the boy replied, not having expected anyone to question what he had to say.

Everyone turned to the voice, and Midoriya widened, recognizing the girl.

"Jirou," He muttered under his breath.

"Did you really need to call him out like that?" She repeated. "He's just a little excited about seeing Present Mic and probably nervous about taking the exam. Hell, we all are. So, did you really need to call him out over that?"

"But he's distracting!" The boy countered. "Don't you find his muttering inappropriately in such a prestigious institute?"

"Not really," She said. "And I'm pretty sure no one else was bothered by it. Here's something that's distracting, though: a guy shooting up from his chair and demanding his questions be answered."

"But... I-I just needed clarification on...!" The guy seemed flummoxed, trying to formulate a response.

"He was about to go over it before you interrupted him." The girl said before sitting back down.

The boy looked like he wanted to say something, but instead, he sat back down.

"Okay! Alright, alright, calm down numbers 7111 and 2232! To answer your question 7111!! "he then surprised them by letting out a very... sinister-sounding chuckle, "Though perhaps you'll wish you hadn't asked. See, if the previous villains are comparable to Goombas and Koopas, then these guys are the Thwomps! They're more like traps than targets!" His laugh got even more sinister, "There is only one of this type of villain at each site, but they're going to rampage in close quarters! If you get caught by it OR engage it in combat..." A wave of terror seemed to engulf the room, "You lose every single point you have earned!"

Even the person who asked the question seemed to be unable to speak, not even thanking Present Mic as he collapsed into his seat. Everyone, including Bakugou, had some amount of sweat dripping down the sides of their faces, and their hearts were hammering in their chests.

"Okay, so stay clear from the 0-pointers, won't be too hard." Midoriya thought.

Everyone proceeded to make their way outside. They headed way to the buses.

"I'm headed to city centre C," Kendo said.

"I'm at centre B. What about you, Uraraka?"

"Same here! Hey, it must be fate!"

"Aw, man, good luck to the both of you." As she waved goodbye.

Midoriya and Uraraka got on the bus and headed to the battle centre. The boy put a finger to his chin and began thinking of a plan."Okay so I can only use 8% but it would be better if I use my aliens they will be able to take out more robots, Heatblast is both fast and has firepower, Four Arms could possibly take robots easier but I'm going--"

"Excuse me!!"

"Ack!" Midoriya was broken out of his muttering by a voice as Iida came walking towards him.

Uraraka, who was sitting next to him, immediately went to apologize to her friend. "Sorry, he gets like that sometimes he just... Uh, strategizing."

"Oh, I see, but that's not why I'm here. I came to apologize myself! I suppose I let my nerves cause me to act shamefully! Still, that is no excuse for my actions! I am Tenya Iida from Somei Private Academy!"

"No, it's okay, my muttering can be a little distracting. I-Izuku Midoriya, Aldrea Junior High. It's fine."

"Ochako Uraraka, Rozaryo Middle School. Nice to meet'cha! "

"Good luck to the both of you!"

As the bus stopped and dropped them off, Midoriya began dialling the Omnitrix, Uraraka was fanning herself before putting a hand on his shoulder."Don't worry, we will pass if we work together then.."

"About that, "Midoriya said to the girls in confusion. He took a deep breath in.

"I-I-I would like to work with you, but... but I don't want to rely on you. At least I don't feel like I can stand by you or Kendo. You're both so strong and both have admirable goals. So I want to pass by my own strength."

"Oh."

He bowed. "I'm sorry, but I can't work with you!"

Uraraka gave a small smile."Okay. But you better move quickly, or I'm gonna steal all the points!"

Midoriya nodded.

Iida watching couldn't help but shed a tear by the sportsmanship.

"Now..."Midoriya began dialling the Omnitrix everyone watching immediately put the green out of the running, not even considering his competition but were curious about what he was doing with his watch as he slammed it down.

"What's that kid doing?"

"Relax, we shouldn't worry about him. You saw how timid he is he probably won't make it."

Izuku ignored the other examinees."Okay, so we're going to need a form that has a wide-range attack and can attack robots throughout the city." He stopped at the silhouette of a short alien that resembled an EMP.

"It's Hero time." He slammed the Omnitrix down he was engulfed in a green flash, causing everyone to shield their eyes from the sudden flash they opened to see...

"Echo Echo!!"

The small alien began to split himself into 10 duplicates, and they all began to stretch to Uraraka's confusion.

"I thought you would use Diamondhead, or Heatblast, heck even Four Arms they more physically stronger and faster than Echo Echo."

"I thought about it..."

"But if we were able, scatter throughout the city will have more robots to attack instead of being restricted to one portion of the city."

Iida, who was listening, could only admire the boy. "A well-planned-out strategy and from the girl he has more forms, judging by the names they probably have a fire, Diamond abilities."

Everyone who noticed the transformation and thought the boy wouldn't be a threat sweated a little from the boy.

Present Mic's grabbed all the attention. "And START!!" As soon as he did, the 10 Echo Echo bolted himself through the testing grounds. Uraraka immediately herself followed the small alien, and Iida himself ran at full speed.

Everybody stood there confused as they failed to process what was going on.

"Well? What are you waiting for? THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWN GO GO GO!!

Echo Echo stood in front of 3 Robots, two 3-pointers, and one pointer. The Echo opened his mouth and let out a massive sonic scream. The robots, everyone nearby covered the ears as the robots exploded.

"Yes!"

The one Echo Echo began to make his way through the city, and another turned right. All the other echoes took different directions, splitting themselves. We follow an Echo Echo as hoards of robots stand in front of him. Echo Echo is split into five Echo Echo, a three-pointer launches missiles towards them.

Echo Echo let out a focus sonic destroying the missile before it could get blast them scattering shrapnel, the other four ran towards the robots before letting out another sonic scream, the robots tried moving but the sonic blast shook them as they before exploding sparked the remnants scattered throughout the area.

They merged into one before running towards more robots, all over the city Echo Echo were fighting robots, cloning themselves and letting controlled sonic waves enough to destroy the robots but not to injure the other examinees.

An Echo Echo was panting heavily as he just took a massive hoard of 3 pointers they launched missiles, before creating a wall of sound that collided with the missiles and exploded, as they duplicated before moving towards the robots and let an earth-shaking sonic wave that destroyed the 3 pointers.

He morphed into one breathing heavily. The boy let his guard down as two 2-pointers were about to crush the small alien."Crap!"

"Release."

As from the top, a three-pointer fell onto the two-pointers. The alien looked to see Uraraka, who gave a thumbs-up before running off. The alien could only smile, seeing the girl touch other pointers and drop them. A few landed on other robots

Iida himself was confidently taking on two pointers kicking right through them, from behind a three-pointer launched a missile at the speedster, and the distracted Iida widened at the incoming missiles.

Echo Echo came in and let out a massive sonic wave stopping the missiles in the air, Iida was surprised before going back to his fight with his bots, but he gave the small alien a thank you.

Echo Echo nodded before letting out a massive sonic wave the missile exploded the shards were sent towards the robot some of it, the shrapnel didn't destroy it but did cause it to malfunction, giving the alien an opportunity to blow it into smithereens.

[Observation Room]

Meanwhile, in the observation room, the staff of U.A. High were in monitoring the situation in each site with a very large widescreen with multiple windows open. Each window was monitoring a student or a situation to allow the staff to know the current situation as well as pass judgment.

"Quite a crop, this isn't it?" Noted a female with a husky tone that would make many men fall prey to it.

"Hey, isn't that the transforming kid from a few months back?"

"Yes, he seems to be gaining the most points within centre B. He's already hit triple digits."

"T-Triple digits?!"

Nezu, however, smirked. "The boy has some battle prowess. Let's see if he has the heart of one! The true test has yet to come." As the small mouse mammal pressed the button.

As then a titanic form of the fourth villain bot came in all the testing sites, Cementos raised a question.

"I know traditionally in the past, we just recommended students to avoid 0 pointers. We've never actually told them that they deducted points in the past. So why the trickery now?"

"To reveal their nature." Said Toshinori, "When faced with an impossible obstacle with a severe penalty, their true self comes forth."

"And Aizawa really wanted to put a logical ruse this year,"

Everyone gave a sweatdrop while the pro in question just shrugged.

"And that should be 35!!" An Echo Echo said as he blasted a 0 pointer to smithereens and crashed into another faux villain. He ran next to Echo Echo.

"If the other Echo Echoes managed to get as many points as we did, then we for sure passed."

"Yeah, there were 10 of us if each were able to get a minimum of 15 and maximum of 45. Then..."

They were cut off by 5 two two-pointers who launched themselves the two Echo Echoes stomped their fist to the ground standing on the ground and inhaling before letting out a massive sonic wave that shattered nearby glass, the robots were sent blasting into the wall.

"45!" Echo Echo said.

"We could've gotten more if didn't stop every 5 minutes to help someone!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I-I just can't help it, and don't like you didn't help!"

The Echo was about to rebut, but...

"TWO MINUTES LEFT!" shouted Present Mic to remind them all of the time.

"We should get to the other area maybe we can help us, me? Oh, you get the point!"

"Yeah--"

The ground shook. He looked towards the source to his his surprise he saw examinees running away from the ever-growing dust cloud. All the Echo Echo who were scattered all over the city felt the rumble and widened in shock to see the zero pointer.

The robot raised its fist and slammed into the ground a shockwave, causing many to shield their eyes. All Echo Echo thought in unison. "Crap!"

The Echo Echoes looked in awe, as he slowly lowered his arms just to see people fleeing past him.

"I'm sorry! I boasted I could beat games without purchasing in-game apps, but I always did!!" Cried an examinee.

"I bullied you so much was-was because I like you!! Like, I have a massive crush on you idiot!" Cried another female examinee.

"... OK." As he heard a few more confessions, "It's not like it's the end of the world."

Just as the Echo Echo's were about to ignore the zero pointer they all heard collectively.

"Ow..."

The Echo Echoes, one on a roof, others were on the street before narrowing his eyes as the dust cleared just in time to see Ochako struggling to get out of the wreckage had landed on her leg, a girl, Izuku had seen other students injured due to the first shock wave.

All the Echo Echo without hesitation began running, they ran past Tenya, which caused the boy to look in confusion to see all the Echo Echoes morphing into one touching the dial on his chest and turning into Midoriya, sudden green electricity enveloped the boy as he began running towards the zero pointer.

"What is he doing?" Tenya was completely befuddled. "Did he forget that fighting the villain bot will cause him to lose every single point?" Before noticing the people who are injured as the zero pointer came."H-He wouldn't..."

Uraraka coughed before through the dust and saw a familiar forest of green hair accompanied by green electricity. Now Uraraka wouldn't say she knew her friend, she knew he liked Katsudon, he loved All Might, he loved heroes, he took notes on heroes and if she knew one thing, he can't ignore someone in need,

"No, Dekiru! Get away, you idiot! If you -"

Some kid with black hair was whaling like a baby."Help me! Please, I'm so scared!!"

She was cut off by a sudden green flash, feeling the familiar heat of Heatblast before he blasted himself towards the zero-pointers, a smoke and flame trail left behind, as he rocketed towards the robotic behemoth.

In the observation room, Toshinori grinned hard as he saw Izuku, then shot up from his chair, "Yes! There it is! The most important qualification for a hero-!" He started.

As Heatblast cocked his fist back, his eyes ablaze with their fire of determination. He began to collect all the fire within in his fist, the blaze going hotter and hotter. The inferno swirled the heat radiating of melting the paint of zero pointer, he sent his fist forward.

"FIRE FIST SMASH!!!!!"

The alien could feel some of One For All as it crackled around its fist, to the boy's surprise he had never used One For All while in his aliens, but no doubt he could feel it, as he drove his hand was engulfed in flames before sending a giant flaming fist melting the entire top of half of the robot.

"-the spirit of self-sacrifice!!" Toshinori finished yelling, with the other judges in the room looking dazzled. As an entire heatwave was felt throughout the entire testing ground.

Jirou, in testing ground D, felt the familiar heat she could only think of. "Green? What are you doing?"

Bakugou who was surprised by the sudden heatwave but ignored it.

Everyone could feel the immense heat from Heatblast. Other examinees wondered what the hell was going on, but those examinees in B widened shock from the heat.

"He's f-firepower is like Endeavor's"

"J-Just, who the hell is this kid?"

"Yeah."

The staff and judges could only widen incredibly entranced by the heat and the Flames and power the kid possessed.

The flames slowly extinguished as Heatblast was still floating in the air he looked at his arm in curiosity." I-I used 20%, yet my arm isn't broken hell it is not even strained. Are my aliens able to handle the backlash?"

As the beeping could be heard as in a red energy flash. "Huh?" As he fell from the sky."AAAH!!!"

"Quite impressing Toshinori," Nezu commented. But then he formed a large grin on his face,

"Told you the kid was impressive I taught him everything he knows," Toshinori said wiping away a few tears, Aizawa could only roll his eyes.

"So...How is he gonna land?" Nezu inquired.

Toshinori turned comedically black and white in shock.

He screamed in terror, and Midoriya had so many questions. "What the hell is going on?! I'm not tired, but I timed out?! And it beeped red?! That's never happened before it usually beeps green and then turns back!"

But the question that was important right now was... "HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO LAND?!"

He looked to see his arm wasn't broken, his current limit was 8% going 20% didn't hurt when he was an alien but he could see a small black patch forming barely noticeable.

Then, a sudden pain in his cheek to see Uraraka, who was wrapped in a tongue, to see Uraraka with a concerned look. "You idiot!" She said with tears. Before putting him in his arms, the boy was lighter before a girl who wrapped her tongue put them down.

"And that's it. TIME'S UP!!"

Present Mic's voice rang through his eardrums, and once he realized what the Pro had said, despair settled into Izuku's stomach, but right now, he was in immense pain

"Dekiru, you okay?" She said in concern.

Midoriya nodded."Thank you for saving me..."

"That's..." The girl's face suddenly turned green, before she began puking. "Dekiru... Please don't look it's embarrassing." The girl said before proceeding to vomit.

Izuku looked away, he knew Ochako hated watching her vomit, she didn't know why but knowing he was watching made her vomit her lunch feel uncomfortable. "R-Right s-sorry!"

His arm suddenly felt limp, to his surprise he couldn't move it."Huh?"

Several of the other examinees walked over but kept a wary distance from him. They couldn't believe the devastation he'd caused with just one punch. Destroying a robot of the Zero Pointer's size with only one blow was crazy, with

"Sheesh, what the hell was that?"

"He melted the whole thing..."

"That firepower, and that sonic attack, how many forms do you think he has?"

"But he was so timid before the test started. How the heck does a guy with a quirk like that end up being such a scaredy cat?"

The teen with the glasses was watching from further away as the school nurse, Recovery Girl, came up to take care of the injured boy

"He sacrificed everything just to save those girls. He must have known that little time was left. How many points did he need to pass? That he was putting his life on the line. But... despite those concerns, he didn't hesitate to go and jump." He thought while clenching his hands

"If this hadn't been an exam... then, of course, I would have done the same thing." He thought before he realized something

"Wait...the exam. The judges! They saw that!" He started to think about it as the candidates heard someone walk toward them. They turned to see Recovery Girl walking towards them

"Every nice. Good work all around. You are heroes in my eyes, every one of you. Here, reward yourselves. Have some gummies." Recovery Girl said as she gave them to a boy who bowed to her in thanks. She walked to where Izuku was as the blonde-haired student watched

"She's the heart of U.A." He said as she looked at Izuku and sighed

Recovery Girl seeing the boy quickly grew concerned, from a person without a medical profession would assume nothing but she could quickly tell...

"Those injuries aren't normal. No, I haven't seen injuries like this before." Recovery Girl thought as she puckered her lips and kissed the back of Izuku's head as everyone watched, his arm went back to normal, and he suddenly felt extremely tired and on the verge of passing out.

"Just as I thought he's extremely exhausted, he barely can stand on his own,"

"Uh...what's she doing?" One candidate asked awkwardly

"You're watching a school nurse in action. The Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl." The boy said as Izuku's hand healed at an alarming rate.

"Her quirk is a super activation of healing power. She's the only reason the U.A. can hold those reckless exams. Look, she's saved him. What could have been weeks of recovery time." He finished speaking as the glowing stopped, and Izuku was as good as new. The glasses-wearing boy looked on as something came to his mind

"Sonny, please come over to the nurse. I want to look over your injuries, okay?"

Midoriya nodded.

Everyone watched as the nurse left with Midoriya. Uraraka clutched her chest in guilt before feeling a hand on her shoulder and seeing the blonde boy.

"For him to give up all those points for you, he must really love you!"

The girl's face began to burn up.

"And the complete despair on your face is so obvious you must love him too!"

Her blush deapen and her eyes widened before shaking her head.

Kendo was walking when she saw Uraraka but didn't see the boy she was training."Uraraka! Where's Izuku?"

"Kendo," Uraraka said mournfully, causing the girl to freeze at the sight of her face.

"Haha!! I was worried about that transforming kid with green hair and freckles. "

"Him? Wasn't he the guy who almost pissed himself in the beginning? Why would you be worried about him?"

"Y'know that massive heat wave?"

Everyone collectively stopped as they wanted to hear the boy. Everyone felt the sudden heatwave.

"That was him! He was destroying all the robots, basically dominating the whole arena, then guess what the dumbass decided to take on the zero pointer! Hahaha!"

"No way! Well, at least that's one obstacle out of our way. "

Uraraka looked. "He forgot to mention how he fought that zero pointer because some of us were trapped in some rubble! How he risked everything just to save us, including you! He sacrificed everything his chances at UA, for people he didn't even know, for jerks like you, and you have the absolute nerve to call him stupid!"

Everyone looked at the whole thing. A boy with black hair and silver both sheded tears, something about it being the most manly thing they have ever had

The boy growled before scoffing. " Well, if he was smart enough, he should've known that we were never at risk. Sure, he charged forward, but he should've used his brain it was just a hoax! Then maybe all those transformations and no brains!"

"Says the guy who was crying for his mommy!"

Uraraka glared at the boy before turning her back and began walking back to UA,

"Tch, just a few tears, and that idiot fell for it, fighting the zero-pointer and losing all his points! "The boy walked away with a scowl, Uraraka scowled before leaving walking to speak to the teacher. The frog girl decided to follow her.
