A/N: The cafeteria fight is going to be happening earlier than it does in the actual show. Which means that Jason is getting involved and the Skeleton Bros are teaming up.

Strike Hard

The day was going pretty normally up until lunch.

Kyler had been spreading rumours about Sam since they had broken up after the Halloween dance. He convinced people that Sam had given him a blowjob in the Biology Lab even though that wasn't happened at all. Yasmine had been bashing Sam on Instagram as well.

People had snuck bananas into Sam's backpack as well as Blow Pops, dropped hot dogs in her food during lunch and made hand gestures at her even though the rumours weren't true. And despite the fact that Sam had been dating Miguel for the last two weeks.

Everyone watches as Sam pushes Kyler's books and lunch off the table.

"Hey, guys! You know that billboard with the big ass dick on it? I guess Sam takes after her dad! Kyler mocks.

Sam looks like she's about to get into a fighting stance before Miguel and Jason stand up.

They both walk over to where Kyler is standing.

Miguel is the first person to strike. "Hey, Kyler! Why don't you shut the hell up and stop being such an asshole?"

"You want another beatdown, Rhea? And I still owe you for what you did to Rory, Lurch." Kyler shoves Miguel.

Jason watches as Kyler shoves Miguel for a second time. He sees Claire, Aisha and Leonard get up from where they were sitting and moving closer to them.

He can also see Demetri and Eli exchanging worried glances.

Kyler taunts Miguel. "I'm ready for your lame ass karate this time!"

Jason watches as Kyler goes to throw a punch at Miguel.

"It's not karate…" Miguel catches the punch.

Jason follows up. "It's Cobra Kai!"

Miguel punches Kyler in the face.

Jason watches as Kyler takes a couple of steps back while holding his bleeding nose.

Kyler puts Miguel in a wrestling hold, but Miguel manages to slither out of it and kick him to the ground after punching him in the face again.

Claire, Aisha and Leonard all shout out the same thing. "No mercy!"

Brucks tries to rush Miguel from behind.

Jason punches Brucks in the stomach and sweeps Brucks' legs.

Rory rushes Miguel, but Miguel kicks Rory in the leg before sweeping his legs out from under him.

Alan goes to attack Miguel, but Jason punches him in the face and sends him crashing to the ground.

Brucks gets back up and Miguel dashes to a nearby table and rolls over it.

Miguel grabs a tray and kicks a chair in order to trip Alan.

Jason aims a roundhouse kick at Rory's face when Rory rushes him.

Miguel hits Kyler in the face with the tray he's holding and hits Brucks with it as well.

Alan tries to hit Jason with the chair Miguel used to hit him but Jason gets out of the way.

Jason punches Alan in the throat, which causes him to drop the chair.

Kyler gets back up to his feet.

Miguel slides across a table and kicks Kyler in the face before hitting him with the tray again.

He drops the tray and watches as Kyler, Brucks, Rory and Alan are trying to get up off the floor.

The crowd erupts in cheers.

Claire, Aisha, Leonard, Demetri and Eli are all cheering the loudest.

"We did it!" Jason exclaims.

Miguel looks around. "We really did."

He looks into Sam's eyes for a moment.

"Hey! Get down from there right now!" Counsellor Blatt shows up out of nowhere and practically pulls Miguel off the table.

She leads Miguel and Jason to the principal's office

They have no idea if they're going to be suspended or not, but they don't care.

.

Miguel is waiting in a chair outside of the principal's office.

Jason had been in there talking to Counsellor Blatt and the principal for a while.

Miguel assumed that whatever punishment him and Jason got for the cafeteria fight would have to be harsh given the apparent "zero tolerance" policy that West Valley High had towards violence.

But he didn't mind.

Even if he got suspended, he had friends he could rely on so he wouldn't fall behind.

He looked up just as Jason was walking out of the principal's office.

"So, what happened?" Miguel asks.

Jason shrugs. "I got another two-week suspension. Which is fine. I'll be able to catch up."

"So, do you think we'll have a packed dojo tomorrow? And, are you going to be going to training?" Miguel wonders.

Jason smiles. "Of course, we're going to have a packed dojo tomorrow. We kicked major ass. And I am going to be at training."

"Kreese, you're free to get your things and leave. The principal would like to speak to you, Diaz." Blatt interrupts, poking her head out of the door.

Jason gives Miguel a nod before he leaves.

Miguel walks into the principal's office and Blatt closes the door behind him.

He looks around the room before sitting down in an empty chair.

Blatt and the principal are sitting across from him.

Miguel shifts a little in his chair. "This is my first time being in this sort of a situation. So, I'm not really sure what to expect."

"Violence of any kind has no place here and will not be tolerated. Jason Kreese has already been suspended for a second time. You will be facing the same punishment." Blatt says.

Miguel rolls his eyes. "Okay. So, you're not going to want to hear my side of the story?"

"You and Jason Kreese got into a fight with four other teenagers. I don't think there's any "sides" to all this." Blatt replies.

Miguel leans back slightly. "Kyler has been spreading rumours about my girlfriend for the last two weeks. I stepped in to protect her because I didn't want him to hurt her. Even though she could probably look after herself. And, I did throw the first punch. But only after Kyler shoved me twice."

"It doesn't matter who started it. You shouldn't have hit him back." Blatt retorts.

Miguel leans back further in his chair. "So, what was I supposed to do? Let him hit my girlfriend?"

"Of course not." Blatt answers.

Miguel is about to say something, but the principal interrupts him. "You will be suspended for two weeks. Since you are new, like Jason Kreese is, you will be given the option to make up any assignments instead of being given zeros by default. Please wait in the office until your parent or another appropriate adult arrive."

"Can I at least get my stuff? I think I left my bag in my locker before lunch. And my bike is outside." Miguel asks.

Blatt and the principal both look at each other and nod. "Make it quick."

Miguel gets up to leave.

He doesn't look back at Blatt and the principal.

Mainly because he knows that they'll still be in the room when he gets back.

And because the principal will have to call his apartment.

Miguel wonders if Mom or Yaya will be there to answer the call.

But it probably doesn't matter.

.

Miguel and Jason stayed after training to talk to Sensei.

They walk into Sensei's office just as he's about to sit down and take a Coors Banquet from the cooler, or mini fridge, near his desk.

"Diaz! Kreese! So, what can I do for you?"

Miguel and Jason look at each other before Miguel speaks. "Jason and I got into a fight with Kyler and his friends. And everybody saw it. I mean, people were taking videos of it and everything. Oh, and we won!"

"You two fought all four of them?" Sensei asks.

Miguel nods. "Yeah."

"Even that big dumb one?" Sensei asks.

Miguel nods again. "Yeah. The fight went by really fast. Jason and I fought as a team. We were just too much for them."

"Your mom's not going to be too pleased." Sensei says.

Miguel smiles. "She wouldn't be too pleased if she knew. My Yaya answered when the school called. I've never seen her so proud. There's no way she'll talk."

"And what about you, Kreese?" Sensei asks.

Jason shrugs. "Well, the school tried to call the family friend who enrolled me but couldn't reach him."

"Alright, so let me get this straight. You two took all the lessons I taught you and you used them to beat the shit out of those assholes? And you're both suspended for two weeks? Well, suspended again in Kreese's case." Sensei looks at Miguel and Jason.

Miguel nods. "Yeah."

"Follow me. Both of you. There's something I've been meaning to give you for a while." Sensei pushes his chair back and stands up before leaving his office.

Jason and Miguel follow him.

They're not sure what Sensei is going to give them.

But they're looking forward to finding out.

.

Jason and Miguel watch as Sensei stops beside his Pontiac Firebird and opens the trunk.

There are two white karate Gi in the trunk of the car.

"I wore this when I was training for my first tournament back in '81." Sensei hands the smaller Gi to Miguel.

Jason looks at the larger Gi. "Is there a story behind that one?"

"Yeah. I wore this one when I was training for my third tournament in '83. It was my second time winning the All Valley." Sensei hands Jason the larger Gi.

Jason looks at the Gi.

Sensei continues. "I didn't lose a single point that year."

"I think you should have them." Sensei finishes.

Miguel looks surprised. "Really? Are you sure?"

"Holy shit." Jason almost whispers.

Sensei smiles. "I think you've more than earned them. By the way, you guys are going to be my deputies for the next two weeks. You can still be useful even though you're suspended."

"Yes, Sensei." Miguel says.

Jason nods. "Yes, Sensei."

"Good. See you tomorrow." Sensei walks back into the dojo.

Miguel puts his Gi in his backpack. "I'd better get going. I was able to collect my bike from school, so I'll go home that way."

"See you tomorrow." Jason replies.

Miguel unlocks his bike. "Yeah."

Jason watches as Miguel puts the bike lock in his backpack before walking to the Dodge Viper and unlocking it.

He puts his backpack and Gi in the trunk of the car before getting in the car.

Jason turns on the radio before driving off.

He wonders what being deputy Sensei would involve.

The influx of new students would make it necessary.

At least for the two weeks of his Miguel's suspensions.
